We worked with Lavina for around 2 months postpartum and it was incredible!

Lavina is highly knowledgeable, you can see that she took care of a lot of newborns and that she loves it.

She is warm and it was such a pleasure to have her bring light in our home during the challenging postpartum days.

I was breastfeeding and it was amazing to be cheered up by her smile when she was bringing in my little girl for nursing in the middle of the night.

We also have a three years old boy who absolutely adores her, she was the best with him and he is still asking for her everyday.

Welcoming a little sister wasn’t always easy for him and it was so helpful to have Lavina take care of him as well when it was needed.

He will miss her as much as we will!

Lavina has become a true friend and we highly recommend her!

MY DOULA: LAVINA FAGAN
MY SUCCESSFUL UNMEDICATED VBAC BABY
I found Lavina literally a week before my due date! I liked Her vibe over text and then had the pleasure of meeting her. I loved the way she was with my son from the start and how cool, calm and collective she was. I was reading her body language, facial expressions and everything - pretty much analyzing her in order to see if she would be my match. Turns out she was everything I wanted in a doula and I decided to go with how my heart felt about her.
She was available through phone and text for me and made everything easy for me as well as working with the time limit we had since baby was coming soon. She provided a bunch of information that I needed to know. I knew she believed in me as much as I believed in myself.
She was there for me when it was go time- her voice- her facial expressions- the consent eye contact- all this is what I wanted while in labor- i felt loved - the way she held my hand - and comforted me through the hardest parts of my labor- the instructions she gave me - the positive come backs - she reminded me of my birth plan- which is what I needed once it really started hitting hard.
I know for a fact God sent her to me- you don’t meet people for no reason. From the bottom of my heart I will always love her - I will always love the way she took care of me - she is kind- she is gentle - she is powerful - all this made me strong and had my sweet angel March 7, 2018.
I will be needing you again for baby #3- trust that!

Lavina was very loving and experienced and such a godsend for the care of our newborn. She has a very easygoing demeanor so it was easy to have her in our tight living spaces. She was very loving to our son and allowed me to get extra sleep in between feeds.

Lavina was such a gift! She supported us through the first several weeks of our daughters life. She was kind, respectful, understanding, and met us where we were in our postpartum journey. She was really good with our baby who was born early and challenged by reflux. She helped us both with overnight care and during the day. I would recommend working with her any day! You can trust her completely.

Lavina was fantastic. I was a first-time mom but had previously had a late pregnancy loss, and she was excellent at helping me be present in this experience and prepare to have a joyful birth. She was constantly available by email and text, a wealth of information, and on the day of, present by phone and in person until the baby latched at the hospital. She was really encouraging of my goal to have an unmedicated birth, and used a range of techniques to support me (and my partner) to achieve that. She's a fantastic listener and great at matching your mood and energy. Highly recommend her!

Lavina is a bright light and a saving grace! She was available on very short notice when my 14-week old had a sleep regression and I was at a loss. Not only did she expertly care for my babe, but she helped me take care of myself and guided me through the transition expertly. Her warm, calm and knowledgeable presence helped me relax. And she followed up afterwards with care and information. Plus she made me golden milk!

Lavina attended my birth when my original doula had an emergency. She spent 8 hours with me in the hospital and helped me manage through painful contractions. She played an integral part in keeping my wishes for a natural birth. Lavina is also a lactation consultation and provided sound advice when I had issues during breastfeeding. Thank you for being there during one of my important life moments.

I had a wonderful experience with Lavina. I had some family around durring my immediate post partum phase and didn't feel like I really needed help, but in the coming months started to feel overwhelmed with trying to be a mom and a human, as well as the prospect of going back to work. Lavina came in and helped me out with things around the home, organizing pump gear and preparing to build a milk stash, and some babywearing guidance but more importantly just to be an ear and relax some of my "shoulding." Even after we initially worked together she would check in on me which is really sweet. I like that I'm able to reach out to her for support from time to time, and that her approach to doulaing and motherhood is very continuous. It also really felt great to know she's a working mom with little ones. Definitely a great resource and gentle hand to have around!

During my pregnancy I experienced a lot of depression as well as after, working with Lavina very closely she help to support me as well as my 3 year old son. She was very passionate and dedicated to helping me through. During my labor she was able to wk me through the process and keep me claim if it wasn’t for her I would of had my baby at home alone. She was able to tell me it was time to go to the hospital by the tone of my voice and she was right by the time I arrived at the hospital I was pushing less than an hour later. She is an amazing individual who I would reccomend to someone who is having a difficult time or just someone who they can learn on for birthing support or nursing she is very excellent in those areas.
