Post a testimonial for Teresa Estilow

I am a first time (and single) mom and Teresa came into my life at a very challenging time and was instrumental in my postpartum journey. From day one (my baby was 2 days old) she jumped in taking out trash, cooking meals, helping me with baby’s latch, teaching me how to burp my baby, recommending external support when needed, establishing systems to help me adjust, and so much more. She has such a warm presence that made me feel comfortable
As a single mom navigating postpartum/motherhood she was (and is) a light in a very difficult time. To this day, thanks to her, I remind myself to focus on routines when I feel out of whack, I give myself grace and remind myself that I’m “doing great”, and when my baby cries I hear her voice reminding me that he is simply “advocating for his needs.”
Teresa is a blend of support and education and my baby loved her too!
She is the best postpartum support that you could give yourself and I can't recommend her enough.

Teresa has been an unbelievable support for me and my family. She first come a few times a week for a few hours at a time when our newborn was only 2 weeks old. I needed most support with my nursing. Teresa cheered me on and provided me with resources and tips to help my baby and myself along our journey to better feeds. Teresa was right by my side as I implemented what she taught me and what I learned from the resources she provided. This was done with warmth, Intelligence, real mom experience, and loving care. My emotional health, Teresa taught, is extremely important during the vulnerable postpartum months. We shared multiple conversations and “check-ins” about how I was doing emotionally, i.e. how I was both coping with the major life transition and processing my difficult labor and delivery experience. I am extremely grateful for this.
My baby is now 3 months old, and looking back I am feeling so lucky I had Teresa holding my hand throughout those early weeks.

Teresa Postpartum Doula Testimony
My intended use of a postpartum doula was to help prevent postpartum depression and anxiety, while having assistance due to lack of family in AZ. Our Labor Doula kindly recommended Teresa. She met with us prior to the arrival of our little one and we felt at ease with her presence.
Teresa was chosen to help guide us with navigating the newborn phase as new parents. She exceeded our expectations with her knowledge, all of her help and delicious snacks.
Teresa helped build our confidence as new parents and reassured us we were doing a good job. This helped with our transition to no long require her assistance.
Teresa constantly checks in on us and continues to go above and beyond her work. We will forever be grateful for Teresa’s role during this new chapter of our lives and look forward to seeing her again the day we give our baby a sibling someday.

We had the privilege of working with Teresa on overnights and during the day. Teresa gave me the freedom of sleeping at night knowing our baby girl would be taken care of. She would bring me my daughter when it was time to nurse and sit with me so I didn't feel lonely. She even helped me drink water because both my hands were tied up nursing. She reminded me of things I would so often forget. Like pumping after feeds, eating and hydrating. She would often make me a snack and encourage me to eat when I would get side tracked. She really is amazing! I remember waking up in the morning to her (she had been up all night with our colic baby girl) doing the dishes, washing pump parts and cleaning the bottles. I told her not to worry about it and she insisted staying after her shift ended to leave me with a clean sink. I would definitely recommend Teresa for your postpartum help and needs. She really does care and it shows.

Teresa was our post partum doula after our first was born. She was amazing and such a good help to our family. She was always available through text, phone, and very productive while in our home. She helped with chores, nursing support, anything baby we needed, reminding us to rest, food and drinks, and any other support we needed. Very kind and knowledgeable. She even kept touching base with us and support after we had finished having her out to our home. I highly highly recommend her. If on the fence about a post partum doula, take the plunge and do it! It helped so much during this transition. She will forever be a support for us with our future kids as well.

Teresa's postpartum doula support was truly invaluable to me and my family. She helped us during the first few months after my son was born and she was caring, kind and knowledgable every step of the way. Teresa provided helpful resources and advice for self-care, tips on feeding my newborn and exclusive pumping suggestions, and information on pelvic floor and postpartum physical recovery. I felt very safe and comfortable knowing my newborn was in good hands with her, and trusted her expertise as she is very genuine and understanding. Teresa is a natural when it comes to birth work and doesn't need a lot of direction. She intuitively knows how to come into your home and help, and does so with amazing efficiency. She is also very detailed and extremely good at multi-tasking. In just a few short hours she prepared healthy meals and helped with cleaning and housekeeping while simultaneously caring for our newborn baby so my husband and I could take time to rest and focus on our mental health. I highly recommend Teresa's services and recommend her to everyone I know. Thank you Teresa for being so wonderful!

In preparing for the birth of my third child, I knew I would benefit significantly from additional postpartum support. Teresa was heaven sent. She was always, always punctual, sensitive, and supportive of my needs as a not-so-new mom of three. Teresa took initiative in getting household care tasks done, while also checking in often to make sure she was helping where it was most needed in the moment. She was always game to even help with outings to the store or library with me and my kids, allowing me to venture out of my postpartum bubble on occasion. My older girls loved spending time with her, as she was sensitive to their need for attention while I sometimes had my focus solely on my newborn. Finally, while this was not my first rodeo and I already had existing postpartum supports in place (therapy, lactation consultants, etc), Teresa was happy to give additional support references and always lend an ear to just talk and get the feelings out when life became a little overwhelming. I am so thankful to have brought Teresa into our space.
