I used Clarice’s sibling doula services for the birth of my third child. My family lives out of state and I didn’t have any friends that I could count on to watch my two older children. Having a dedicated person on-call to care for my two older children was a huge weight off my shoulders as my pregnancy progressed. I loved how Clarice had everything regarding services and pricing clearly laid out on her website.

Since I had a history of pre-term delivery/labor with my older children and because I knew I would not be delivering past 39 weeks, Clarice was willing to adjust her on-call timeline for me from 37-42 weeks to 34-39 weeks. She had a vacation planned during the timeframe so she set me up with a backup doula she works with in the event I went into labor when she was out of town. We first had an introductory call and then a few weeks later set up a meet and greet with the kids at our home.

During the course of my pregnancy both Clarice and my backup doula, Vonda, would check in with me providing support and answering any questions I had. I ended up going into labor before my scheduled c-section. I had gone into triage to get checked out so my husband wasn’t with me. Clarice had Vonda come to my house since she lived closer and she went to relieve her later. Vonda was at my house within 20 minutes of our text and my husband made it in time for my emergency c-section.

I stayed 3 nights in the hospital and we used Clarice’s services the entire time. My husband took the boys to daycare during the daycare and Clarice stayed with them overnight. I was able to spend those first few days with my newborn and focus on my recovery knowing my other two children were well taken care of.

I recommend Clarice’s sibling doula services to anyone looking for support for your older children as you prepare to give birth. I cannot over emphasize what a lifesaver she was for me!

Clarice was incredible to have after the birth of our first son. She spent time with us before to understand what our goals were, as well as understand our family and those dynamics. She was extremely educational valuable with all of the resources she would share in regards to routines, breast-feeding, and learning how to understand our sons cues. She was always extremely calming, patient with our dog, and made sure to ask and listen to how my feelings were each day. I highly recommend using Clarice as a postpartum doula. She was extremely flexible and understanding as well with our schedule, and she really helped me and helped me gain confidence and what I was doing and caring for our son. I had never been around newborns, or baby sat before, She really helped me navigate this postpartum phase and transition into motherhood. Clarice was very thoughtful, intentional, and allowed me some time to myself during the long days after my son was born to go for a walk, shower, or attempt to nap, all while always lending a hand around the house when she was able. It was a great experience overall.

Clarice is one of three postpartum doulas I've had the pleasure of welcoming into my home. She was always so warm and kind, while also being knowledgeable and professional. She cared for my newborn as well as my two older children as if they were her own. She prepared healthy and delicious meals and snacks for me to eat. That was greatly appreciated during the postpartum period when nutrition is so important. She was always helping me with household tasks such as tidying up, doing dishes, or doing laundry when I was feeding or holding my baby. She is a great listener and problem solver, and I would recommend her to anyone considering hiring a postpartum doula.

I have had a great experience with Clarice and I tell my husband that hiring her as a postpartum doula was the best thing I did for myself during the first-time-mothering experience. Clarice took great care of my son; I never worried about him being in good hands while taking a break. I used Clarice for consult as my husband and I dealt with challenges with breastfeeding and family visits. She continued to find new ways to add value to my mothering experience and find solutions to make life easier for me and my family. Most importantly, Clarice is a thoughtful person who is genuinely passionate about being a doula and taking care of newborns. Clarice is a great resource and someone you want to have on your team. She helped my son become healthier and happier.

Clarice has been wonderful! She is professional and caring. She gave us the peace of mind that our baby boy was in good hands. Everyday she arrived with a positive attitude and was ready to help with any household chores as well. We are very grateful for her postpartum support! I am so pleased and would highly recommend her postpartum services!

Clarice was a postpartum doula for our family after the birth of our second son in early 2022. It was so nice to have her helping our family, she was so personable and friendly that I felt like she integrated right in! She expressed that she loves to cook so she would prepare our Green Chef meals for us for dinner. On a few nights when my husband had work commitments after hours she would stay late and help with my older son who was 3 yrs old. He can be a bit "extra" and she was wonderful with him. He really took to her and even asked if he could "go stay over at Mrs. Clarice's house"! I felt very comfortable letting her help with our new baby when I needed a nap or a shower and she even did some of the babies laundry on occasion when it would get piled up. I have no doubt that you will be happy with your decisions to integrate Clarice into your home as a postpartum doula for your family!!

Clarice was so knowledgeable and helpful. As a mom of 3 she helped with my newborn but went above and beyond when she was thoughtful of my 2 older children too. She played with them and even brought them little toys so I could have some peaceful time with the baby. We worked on healthy meal planning and cooking. Every recipe was delicious!  She listened to my concerns and questions. She focused her care on exactly what I needed.

Clarice was so incredibly helpful during my transition from one to two babies. She was kind, gentle, open, non-judgemental, and compassionate. She was also intuitive to my needs (& that of my 3.5 year old) as well. I could not have gotten through this giant initiation without her help. A postpartum doula is a special kind of Angel, and Clarice is clearly one of them!
