Maryssa is incredible. As a first-time mom I was really anxious about the entire birth experience and wanted someone who could guide me through all of the information and help me make informed decisions about the birth experience. Maryssa is a kind, calm, and empathetic person with a wonderful presence. She is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful, plus she is organized and excellent at communicating. I looked forward to every one of our prep sessions! I love how she approached everything with an open mind and also has research and data to help guide and inform as I was making decisions about my birth process. She was never pushy about anything and only wanted to support whatever path we chose. She did an amazing job supporting my partner and made him feel confident and relaxed. Because of Maryssa, I felt empowered in my birth experience - even when things really didn't go according to plan (due to medical concerns only). I can't imagine having gone through this without Maryssa. I will forever be grateful for her incredible support and will think of her every year on my daughter's birthday. Thank you Maryssa!

Maryssa is amazing. She has an extremely calming presence and unique ability to majorly contribute while staying under the radar a bit. It felt like the perfect amount of support. Her background is very impressive in terms of helping and supporting perinatal people, so I felt very confident having her present in addition to my partner. Some things she did that really stood out were massage and supportive touch (I am not even a “physical touch” person but this was SO nice during labor pains), utilizing essential oils, providing verbal reassurance, sharing useful information regarding pain management and medical interventions, making sure I stayed hydrated, and assisting the nurses. I also really appreciated her postpartum check ins.

We are so grateful for Maryssa and highly recommend her!
