Natalie’s wealth of experience in supporting women during childbirth was evident in her approach to my care. Her continuous emotional and physical support, during my pregnancy was undoubtedly a valuable asset to my pregnancy and delivery. She ensured that I felt heard, validated, and empowered during my pregnancy and the labor process. Natalie instinctively knew when to step in and offer support and was always at the other end of the phone if I needed her. I am so grateful that she was a part of my journey.

Natalie joined our birth journey unexpectedly as our first doula had a family emergency a few days before I delivered. Natalie immediately met with us, got to know us and our birth preferences, and came prepared with a wealth of information and questions.
Baby was cozy inside and I was scheduled to be induced, which made me nervous. I wanted to try everything I could to induce labour naturally and Natalie patiently provided me with tips and tricks and calmed my nerves. My contractions ebbed and flowed for a few days before my delivery. I experienced numerous emotions (e.g., excitement, fear, frustration, anxiety), which Natalie helped me navigate. She helped me advocate for pushing back my induction date, which resulted in baby coming on her own!
When baby decided it was time, things progressed very quickly. Within three hours I went from almost being sent home from the hospital to delivering a baby! When things began happening quickly, my husband contacted Natalie and she rushed to the hospital. She was beside me the entire delivery and provided words of encouragement. Following the delivery, I experienced some medical complications. We are so thankful that Natalie was with us. She was able to mentally and emotionally support my husband as he navigated being with our baby while watching the medical team work on me. She stayed with us until I was stable, asked what we needed, provided emotional support, and even massaged my back while I was recovering.
Having a doula as part of our birth journey was incredibly empowering. The support that Natalie provided cannot be quantified. I know that our birth journey would have been more stressful and uncertain had we not had a doula. I will recommend Natalie to anyone I know having a baby in the future. A doula is a great option for anyone, no matter how prepared you feel, your level of social support, or if this is your first or third child. Thank you Natalie!

We are so thankful that Natalie was part of our birth story and labour experience
We were both first-time parents, so everything felt new and uncertain. In my everyday life, I don’t like going into new situations without knowing what to expect; I hate surprises. And yet, I knew that some things about the birth would be impossible to predict, let alone control.
When the time finally arrived — although there were plenty of surprises from my little one — I remember SO much joy, strength, and empowerment while I laboured. The whole birth was magical and perfect in ways I didn't know were possible and Natalie was a huge part of that.
She is a wealth of evidence-based knowledge and resources, all grounded in feminism. She prepared me (and my partner) in ways that helped us to be present more fully and positively during the birth. She asked the right questions to help me narrow down what I wanted (or needed) in the weeks, days, and hours leading up to birth.
We were comfortable reaching out as we nervously waited to find out if baby was breech at 36 weeks. I equally trusted her to help me trust myself as I impatiently laboured through the early stages at home.
I remember, during labour:
- her just holding my hand and talking with me about who knows what, helping me relax after I'd been at the hospital all day.
- trusting her voice as she guided me through positions and emotions during labour
- her asking, so clearly, ‘what is it you need right now?’ which helped me focus on what mattered to make a the best decision for me. She helped me trust my own decisions, of which there were so many to make.
I would without hesitation recommend Natalie in the strongest terms to bring about a brave, beautiful space to support you through your birth, too.

Natalie was informative, sensitive, intuitive and wonderful from start to finish.
The prenatal visits were helpful for my husband and I to prepare for labour; Natalie showed us techniques to cope with the contractions.
During active labour Natalie was observant and reactive to me needs. During moments where I needed solitude, Natalie recognized this right away and made space for me. Natalie was also shoulder to cry on when I needed that, too.
I was appreciative of the photos and video that Natalie captured during our birth - I was able to look back on my experience with a different perspective than I had going through it.
I would recommend Natalie as a beautiful supportive part of anyone's birth journey.

It is with great pleasure that we write this testimonial for Natalie. We hired Natalie to be our birth doula for our first child (hospital birth). We highlight four key reasons why we recommend Natalie:
1. Leading up to the birth, she shared a plethora of useful information. This was in the form of a well organized set of documents. We sincerely appreciated how evidence-based her guidance was including all documents being well referenced with reliable sources. Perhaps even more important than sharing the documents, were her nudges to check out certain documents at relevant moments alongside her availability to discuss and explain all the details.
2. During the birth, Natalie was with us for the whole process and was constantly vigilant in doing everything she could to support us. A few highlights include her outstanding massages to help with earlier labor pains, her being present to check-in on Mom & Dad on whether we needed food, water, a nap, etc., and her being a positive presence in the room who asked good questions on our behalf and helped us vocalize our preferences. With sincerity - her presence transformed our experience for the better and we don't know how we would have done it without her!
3. She was available during the whole process. We texted her frequently and she was always responsive and happy to reply with resources or a chat of support.
4. She is overwhelmingly positive, kind, and made us feel comfortable. As quite conservative people, choosing to bring a person along on our birth journey was a careful decision. We were very happy to have Natalie be a part because through her multiple visits leading up to the birth, regular check-ins, and demeanor, we felt we formed a positive, trusting relationship with her. This made us feel very comfortable having her with us during the birth and had no trepidations about her guidance and being nearby for intimate and personal moments.
Thank you Natalie :)

My experience with Natalie was amazing! I didn't think I needed a doula till plans changed with my partner and I needed the extra support. Natalie came highly recommended so I contacted her and she took me on very late in my pregnancy. She was very very supportive of my needs and showed me so much compassion. She was very attentive and knew exactly how to relieve a lot of the physical pain I felt during my contractions. I highly recommend Natalie's service to all first time moms and/or any mom who wants that extra support! She knows exactly what she's doing and she's very passionate. She made my birthing experience more manageable. And she captured all the precious moments. I don't think I would have had such a positive experience without Natalie so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her! Thank you again Natalie for giving me the best experience for my first time birthing experience.

Natalie was my doula for my second birth. She offered hypno birthing training and techniques which was exactly what I wanted to implement for my home birth. I felt instantly connected to her from our first meeting. She brought more expertise to my birth as she actually had to catch my baby as she came fast and furious and my midwife wasn't there. She was totally confident and had the skills from being a midwife in the UK. She is absolutely amazing! I will always cherish knowing her and having her apart of such a monumental moment in our life. During my labour she active sending positive affirmations and touch the whole time. I truly felt the attention I needed and support and encouragement to stay focused! Best doula in Calgary! Recommend her x 1 million!!!

Natalie has the most wonderful energy imaginable. It's exactly what you want and need for any and all of the birthing process and postpartum care. I met Natalie through her Pre-natal yoga classes, and thought she'd be a really good fit as our doula. In the end, I had to have an elective C-section, so Natalie's services turned to postnatal support. She was a very gentle, caring support in the weeks after childbirth. I was exhausted, overwhelmed, and Natalie came over to help with support in feeding, took baby so I could nap, she helped tidy, made sure I was eating, etc.
I always enjoyed any time spent with Natalie, and now miss her. She feels like a friend not like a business transaction. Highly recommend Natalie. ??
