Before getting pregnant birth honestly scared me. I couldn't even imagine what was going to happen. The unknown is what scared me the most. I did my research and knew I need a doula to help me with the birth of my son. I stumbled upon amber. I had a phone call with her and just off her voice I felt calm and at easy with her. I took a few of the classes to prep for the birth. We sat down and created a birth plan and I felt completely prepare. I said didn't go natural like I wanted I was already super late and the help with Amber decided the best decision was to induce. I wanted to go without an epidural. She truly is the only reason I lastest 12 hours without one. I was so scared of the thought of an epidural. She held my hand through it all and even helped my husband be there for me. Fast forward to my the second night in the hospital and I'm finally about to give birth. I was completely exhausted and couldn't give anymore. My son got stuck twice during the birth. Thankfully for her help I still felt calm through it all. It was a little scary at the end when he got stuck and nurses had to help me through pushing on me to get him out. We found out he was 9pounds when he finally came out. There is absolutely no way I could of done that without ambers help. Hire her. Even if you're not sure you need help throufh this process she will educate through it all. I will most definitely hire her for the next child!

Our experience with Amber was positive all around. She was informative, helpful, patient, calming, understanding, and supportive to both me and my spouse during a long labor. Having her come to our home and then to the hospital in the wee hours of the morning was a huge comfort. Plus her meetings prior to the labor helped equip us with information on what to expect and allowed us a chance to practice some comfort techniques before the big day came. With her help I felt more prepared for an unmedicated birth. I would definitely recommend her services!

Amber was great! I loved her calm and sweet demeanor! We’ll hire her again for baby #2!! ?? It was great to have someone with us who’d done this all before, because as new parents we had no idea where anything was or who anyone was! ?? I recommend Amber to anyone considering a doula! Ive would've paid her double her rate and more!

Amber was our doula and she made the entire process, from pregnancy to postpartum, as easy as possible. We are first time parents and we felt more than prepared for our experience and would 10/10 recommend her to friends and family!

I found out about Midwest Doula Services through a friend who knew Lindsey. I interviewed a couple of doulas before I decided on this company. I had my interview with Amber who offered to be my doula with Lindsey as the backup. One thing that I value about Amber was her helpfulness. She was available any time of the day that messaged or called her with any sort of questjons. I hired them pretty late, in my 8th month but she made sure that I don’t miss out on any of the exercises and continuously motivated me and offered a plan that suited my lifestyle. I wanted to have a VBAC and was very clear in setting my expectations with Amber who understood and valued everything I wanted.
Amber went to great lengths to extend support- from trying to find childcare for my toddler or to even offering to take me to the hospital if I’m in labor and my husband can’t take me in the event he stays back for my toddler. She stayed calm and composed even when I was losing my mind in labor- lol and kept reiterating how I was doing great and handling my pain well.
Amber supported me post delivery as well by finding a masseur since I needed a good massage.
Overall, I loved her positive attitude towards birth and pain management and was everything I wanted in my doula by you my that extra mile.
Thankyou for supporting me in my VBAC journey ??

I was scheduled to be induced for my first baby and was very nervous. I was not necessarily insistent on a natural birth, but I wanted to limit/delay interventions as much as possible. I reached out to Midwest Doula Services very last minute and they worked out a way to be there for our birth, I was SO thankful (though I ended up going into labor spontaneously a day before being induced!). Having Amber as our doula was one of the BEST decisions we made for labor and delivery. Amber kept me moving with new positions, she helped me breathe through and relax between contractions, and provided us with helpful information and advice throughout the evening. There is such a sweetness about her presence, she was very aware and sensitive to what was going on. I ended up having a natural birth and do not think I could have done that without her. My husband and I both loved having her with us for one of the most special experiences of our lives, I would recommend her without hesitation!
