We hired Jessica as a postpartum doula after the birth of our child. She is SO helpful! As first-time parents with most of our family on the east coast, it was so comforting and beneficial to have such a knowledgeable resource! She really helped ease the stress and sleeplessness of the early weeks in parenthood. We initially hired her for weekly vists for the first 8 weeks after the birth and ended up adding a couple additional sessions. We looked forward to her visit every week. In the beginning, we used a lot of the time to ask questions and learn more about our baby. For example, she taught us how to give our baby a bath, how to soothe her, how to play and engage with her, how to baby wear, and generally helped us gain a better understanding about what our baby is going through and trying to communicate to us. In the later weeks, we used more of the time to get a break, nap, and spend some quality time with each other. Jessica was happy to follow our lead and provide whatever we were specifically looking for each week. She's a calm presence and very good with newborns! 10/10 recommend!

Jessica helped us out so much before and after the birth of our first child. She came to our home and helped us prepare our spaces and made sure we had everything we needed for our daughters arrival. She gave us lots of advice and tips on how to ready ourselves as well. Once our daughter was born, we of course had all sorts of new questions (my recovery, breastfeeding, newborn sleep, diaper tricks, etc). She came back to our home and showed us all sorts of tips and tricks and helped us gain a ton more knowledge. Jessica is kind, caring, patient and super helpful. My partner and I were so grateful to have her guidance and we would definitely recommend her!

I am so glad that I found Jessica and chose her to be my birth doula! Jess was very responsive with my questions, knowledgable of various topics about birth, and most importantly, has a very calm personality that I found critical during my labor.

I had some complications during my pregnancy and stayed in the hospital twice. During one of the hospital stay, Jess was out of town for her vacation. She connected me with her back-up doula before she left for vacation in case I would have my baby early. During her prenatal visit, she listened to our needs carefully and gave us helpful suggestions to get ready for labor. Since I booked her in my 3rd trimester and had to get induced because of my conditions, I wanted more hours for postpartum visits. Jess was flexible and agreed to change the hours.

On the day of my scheduled induction, she checked in with me frequently. The moment I said, “I don’t know what to do. I think it is time for you to come”, Jess was on her way. During my 36-hour labor, she helped to relieve my pain with physical movements, massage and encouraging words. When I was in extreme pain and couldn’t think, she asked all the right questions about my treatment and recapped explanation from the on-call OB for me. She wrote down a timeline of when things happened, which is now in my memory book for my son. After my labor, Jess made sure that both my son and I were in good place and then she left.

During our postpartum virtual visits, not only did she check on me and my son, but also make sure that my husband adjusted to his new role well. She continued to answer my questions about recovery and talking care of baby via texts.

Thank you Jess! My family will be forever grateful for you!

Jessica was our doula for our second child. I'd highly recommend her to anyone seeking extra support for before, during, and/or after a birth, and to first time and experienced parents alike! Our first child was born in 2020 in the height of the pandemic, we had very little support as we were trying to minimize contact. I didn't originally plan to get a doula but I'd read that there's evidence that having a doula results in better birth outcomes and a friend of ours recommended Jessica after having a wonderful experience with her. Jessica was a perfect fit for us--very knowledgeable about birth, anatomy, and babies, she collaborated incredibly we with the hospital care team, she's a great listener and communicator and incredibly supportive. In addition to making both my husband and I feel more supported and prepared than we had with the birth of our first child, Jessica helped us create so many special memories, she kept a birth timeline, took photos, helped my husband and I find even more special moments of connection during labor than we would have otherwise and provided so many great resources before, during, and after labor including a guided birthing meditation that I loved. For parents having second+ children, Jessica was also really helpful to us in preparing our little one for his new sibling, we talked about sleep, routines, making him feel included and valued. My only regret, if any, is that we didn't have Jessica for our first birth. Or has been a pleasure and joy to work with her, would give her my highest recommendation.

Jess's patience and gentleness are the shining qualities that make her a great doula. My birth plan drastically changed the day I went into labor due to my health complications. Jess stayed grounded in the midst of all these changes, which was life-saving given how long my labor turned out to be. Her expertise and experience shone not just in the delivery room, she has also been instrumental in our postpartum experience establishing sleep routine for parents and baby, which is life-saving in another way!

We had Jessica help out with taking care of our LO at 8-10 weeks during the day. She was very attentive and helpful with engaging our baby girl with various activities. She also helped me as the mother feel reassured that our baby was developing normally and how it was normal for her sleep patterns to be changing constantly at that age. She was always happy to share her observations and recommendations but never pushed anything on us or told us that we had to do things a certain way, which I really appreciated! Taking care of a newborn can be very overwhelming at times, and having Jessica's calm presence and her extensive knowledge of newborn care really helped get through some tough times. Highly recommend Jessica's postpartum services!

We had a great experience with Jessica who supported us through the delivery of our first child! Jessica was very helpful in preparing us (and even kindly lent us some books and maternity clothes!) and was a huge help to both me and my partner during my 20 hour labor at the hospital after my water broke. Jessica arrived about 5 hours in when I asked for her to come once my contractions begain to get more intense. She helped me feel more focused and calm through the contractions and also helped my partner better support me. When I finally decided I wanted an epidural, she was very supportive and helped me think through the decision but was not pushy at all. (I've heard some other folks share that they felt their doulas pressured them too much to not get an epidural). We all rested at the hospital for a few hours after the epidural before starting on pushing. Jessica seemed to have a good relationship with the UW Northwest team and we felt very supported by everyone! If we decide to have another child we will be in touch with Jessica again for sure :)

Jessica is a wonderful doula. She is supportive and knowledgable, has lots of super helpful advice for any stage of pregnancy, labor and delivery. Just knowing I could reach out to her for any questions and advice was very reassuring.

During my labor, her presence was very soothing. She provided both emotional and physical support, guidance and advice through all stages of the labor. My baby decided to be uncooperative, and needed to turn to a more optimal position. Througout the night, both Jessica and a nurse helped me try different positions to turn the baby. Jessica knew just as many positions to help rotate the baby as the nurse, if not more.

Honestly without Jessica there, I would have felt lost. She was there from beginning to end. You won't go wrong in choosing her for your doula!

I cannot recommend Jessica enough. She was highly reccomended to us from our fomer doula and we are very happy to have followed her advice. From the moment we met Jessica, we felt completely at ease and knew that she would be an incredible support system throughout our pregnancy and childbirth. Her knowledge, empathy, and genuine passion for her work made all the difference.

Throughout my pregnancy, she checked in on me regularly and provided resources to help me and my husband prepare for childbirth. She was an incredible support to my husband too! Her massage skills were a bliss and she taught my husband how to provide relief during the pregnancy and labor. When it was time for my baby to arrive, she reponded promptly and was with us every step of the way, offering encouragement, reassurance, and practical help. We prepared a plan together and when the time came and I was busy dealing with the pain, she calmly reminded me about all the options we discussed before. She guided me towards what I wanted. Her calm presence and expertise gave me the confidence I needed to have the birth experience I wanted.

Even if it was not our first baby, every pregnancy and childbirth are different and we are glad we had the privilege to have Jessica's help.

In short, Jessica is an amazing doula and a wonderful person. I feel so grateful to have had her by my side during such an important time in my life. If you are looking for a doula who will provide compassionate, knowledgeable, and individualized care, look no further. She is the one!

Jessica is a wonderful postpartum doula and we were so happy to have her help out with our
son for several weeks when he was 7 weeks old. She provided great energy and answered many of
the questions we had as new parents. Jessica is a wonderful doula and was able to give us some
assistance at the exact time we needed some more help.
We would definitely recommend her as a postpartum doula and loved working with her.

I hired Jessica to be my birth doula for my second daughter.  I had PTSD from a bad birth experience with my first child, so I wanted a doula the second time around for emotional support.  Jessica was amazing throughout the whole birth experience.  She used pain relief techniques that made a profound difference and brought a calming presence that really transformed the whole birth experience from scary to sacred and special.  We later got help from Jessica for sleep consulting and postpartum doula work which was also very helpful.  I definitley recommend working with Jessica!

I'm very grateful for our time with Jessica during the first 6 weeks of our first baby's life. She has an extremely calming presence which not only comforted our baby, but also provided me with a lot of comfort during a very anxiety-ridden time as a first time parent. Jessica's knowledge in this space helped me get through painful early days of breatfeeding and understanding different crying and sleep patterns with our baby - which made me feel a lot more confident as a new parent.  She is reliable, kind and consistent and often went out of her way to lend me books or baby/breastfeeding supplies to help with issues or questions I had. I would absolutely work with her again and highly recommend her!

Jessica is a true gem! She was our sibling doula for the birth of our second child, and she was amazing. This was our three-year-olds first night away from us, so we were nervous about how he would do. Jessica went out of her way to connect with our son and with us before the birth,  and made sure it was a positive experience for all. She was a fantastic communicator and put us all at ease. I know she would also be a wonderful birth doula due to her knowledge of all things birth, and complete understanding when we had a false labor start. We look forward to hiring Jessica again!

Jessica was a lifesaver for me as a single choice mom. First, She met my friend, baby and me as well as dog walker when we arrived at home after my baby's delivery via csection to help ensure a smooth and safe homecoming. She even let me borrow a wedge pillow for a few weeks while I was recovering, which made it much easier to get the baby. As a post partum doula she helped me eat healthy, took care of my baby while I got some sleep and did a bunch of other helpful things to help me during this delicate time. She also helped me connect with another post partum doula when it was clear I needed more overnight help. I would not hesitate to hire Jessica. She is trustworthy, helpful, and kind. So grateful for her help.

Jessica was an incredible post-partum doula for our family. I've worked with her in a post-partum doula capacity after the births of my second and third children. Her expertise and deep knoweldge of feeding, sleep issues, and behavioral trends are helpful and reliable. She goes out of her way to tend to not only the baby but also the health of the mother, and considers the needs of the whole family in her care plan. She was creative in her daily care, adapting activities as he grew and as our family schedule evoled. She is thoughtful, friendly, dependable and highly capable. I am happy to recommend her services to anyone looking for a post-partum doula.

I cannot recommend Jess as a doula enough! She was amazing, and she made my labor experience so much more smooth than it would have been without her. Our first meeting with Jess was scheduled on a Tuesday and late Sunday night before, my water broke (4 weeks early!). I was so nervous and panicked. We had no labor plan, as we were going to make one with Jess just a few days later at our first meeting. I texted her on our way to the hospital and she arrived on Monday morning just in time as my contractions were starting to get really intense. She had so many tools and tehcniques to help guide me through labor and to also help my husband support me through the process. Jess is kind and compassionate and incredibly supportive. I felt so comfortable with her there and am so grateful that she could just jump in and support me even though we had not gone over any of my preferences for labor yet! Jess is wonderful, and I am so grateful everyday that she was there with me when my baby was born.

I'm so glad I got connected with Jessica! From our first phone call I could tell we would be safe in her hands. Not only is she experienced and very knowledgable, but her calm and sweet demeanor always put our minds/hearts at ease. She answered all our questions, gave us her expert opinions, and helped us set realistic expectations/goals which we appreciated being first time parents. You really get the whole package with Jessica - sleep, lactation, massage, labor/delivery, and always there to answer any question/concern that pops into your mind! My labor was strenuous, but the minute Jessica walked in the room I definitely felt a wave of calmness and safety wash over me! She obviously helped me through contractions and pushing, but also went above and beyond - made sure I had dinner waiting after birth, took care of my placenta encapsulation hand off, and was a pillar of strength for us - making sure both me and my partner's needs and wants were heard by our medical team. Even 2 weeks after birth, we are still working with Jessica and looking forward to continuing working with her as our little one grows! Highly recommend hiring Jessica for whatever needs you have before, during, or after birth!

I am so grateful to have received Jess's doula services for birth and the postpartum period. I had a lot of concerns going into birth, and Jess proved to be a true godsend! Checking in with her prior to birth really helped to prepare me, and her wealth of knowledge/information was hugely helpful. Whatever stage of the proces I was in, Jess had useful ideas, from tips to prepare for labor, relaxation strategies before and during birth to birth pain management suggestions. When the time came, Jess was there and I truly could not have done it without her on my support team. And where I was most grateful to have Jess's support was postpartum-in what was a time of challenging transition, my partner and I SO appreciated our postpartum doula shifts. Jess was there for all the overwhelming firsts-nursing, figuring out the pump, bottle feeding/bottle management, newborn care!-and her nonjudgemental, warm, competent and friendly presence was an amazing support during those first weeks as parents. We both agreed that having Jess's support was invaluable, and the icing on the cake was what a warm and wonderful caregiver she was to our baby girl! I have to admit that I initially questioned whether I really needed a birth doula since I was birthing in a midwifery practice-I did-and whether it would be overkill to have a postpartum doula-it was not. If you are looking for a kind, knowledgable, highly skilled birth and postpartum doula who also happens to be a super cool human being, then look no further. I could not recommend Jess more highly.

We love Jessica!  She supported us postpartum with both our kiddos.  Her calm demeanor and warmth helped settle our nerves in both experiences, and we truly loved having her around and her support.  In addition to taking care of our babies at night so we could rest, she was super helpful in supporting us through bottle feeding challenges and heping set us up with different tools and strategies for success.  She is wonderful!

I highly recommend working with Jessica.  I hired Jessica for doula support for the birth of my second baby.  After a traumatic birth experience with my first child, I held a lot of fear around giving birth again.

Jessica completely transformed the second birth experience for me.  She has such a calming presence which kept me grounded during labor.  She is also very knowledgeable about birth and was able to explain the process to me along the way which I found helpful.  Lastly she did a lot of hands on massage which was extremely calming.  I felt safe and supported in her care.

We also hired Jessica for some postpartum doula work and sleep consulting which was all very helpful.  I definitely recommend her for any of her service!

We are so grateful to have had Jessica as our birth doula! We didn't decide to have a doula at our birth until weeks before our due date, and were so lucky that Jessica was available and flexible. She is so warm, clam, and easy to talk to! She understood our priorities right away and shared a ton of relevant resources during the last weeks of my pregnancy. The prenatal visits were informative and reassuring and helped to ease my mind about birth.

I really believe that having Jessica's support during labor saved me from unnecessary interventions! My water broke before contractions really got going, so the doctors were preparing me to begin pitocin right away. But we decided to wait and see if the contractions would pick up naturally, and with Jessica's help, I never ended up needing pitocin at all! She had lots of suggestions for movements and positions based on what I was feeling, and that ultimately helped to get the baby in the right position and intensify the contractions.

Through-out the whole labor, Jessica was attentive to both my needs and by husband's. She remembered things that we had planned ahead of time that I know I would have forgotten in the moment. She took pictures and notes to help us remember the day. And she was just a pleasure to have in the room, worked great alongside the hospitals staff, and was so easy to chat with in between contractions.

I would highly recommend Jessica to expecting parents looking for a doula with a reassuring presence and collaborative style.

My wife and I used Jessica as our doula for our first child and she was incredible. She was warm, communicative, and informative. We instantly felt as if we could talk to her about what is a rather personal time. We wanted a doula because while we planned to give birth at a birth center, we knew that if we ended up at a hospital, we wanted someone who could help guide us through decisions and communicate our wishes clearly. She also pointed out that she could help me, as the husband, better understand what my wife needed from me during delivery. We felt glad we had hired Jessica leading up to the birth. And then labor started. My wife labored for 22 hours before we went to the birth center. Jessica was texting with us the whole time, waiting until we asked for her to join us. She joined us at the birth center and was a rock the entire time. She helped me push on my wife's hips. She coached my wife through hours of intense pushing. She made sure that my wife felt supported, and made sure I was involved. Despite my wife's best efforts, the baby was not coming out, and the pain was increasing. Jessica helped us talk through transferring to Virginia Mason. She was with us every step of the way in the hospital. She helped us talk through decisions while never going beyond her boundaries. When the baby's situation made it clear a C-section was in order, she was there. Going into surgery is always scary, and this was an unplanned one that was coming after 36 hours with no sleep. It felt so good having her there to talk to, to reflect with, to rely upon as a check on our thinking. She was in the room when the surgery happened and held my wife's hand as I went to hold our baby for the first time. She was a major part of our birth story.

I would have recommended Jessica if our birth had gone according to plan. After all that happened, I can only say how lucky Zarya and I feel that she was with us. I cannot recommend her more highly.

We absolutely loved working with Jess. She is increadibly kind, attentive, thoughtful, and a great communicator which is exactly what I was looking for in a Doula. Jess helped us with the arrival of our first child, Finn. As a first time mom I found her knowledge and advice invaluable in the months leading up to Finn's birth, during the birthing process, and after Finn was born. Jess has a very calming presence and I never felt like any question I had was too silly or small. Jess is also a licenced massage therapist and her expertise really helped me navigate the physical discomfort I experienced during my third trimester. If you are looking for a doula who will be with you every step of the way through your perinatal journey, I highly recommend Jess.

We had the pleasure of working with Jessica as our doula for the birth of our daughter and cannot recommend her highly enough! She has a peaceful, collaborative, and encouraging spirit that was evident from our first meeting. Her long-time expertise in birth work massage was also a huge draw for us. She was with us every step of the way, including easing my first-time pregnancy anxieties through spur-the-moment phone check-ins, walking us through labor techniques at our prenatal visits, and when it came time for the real deal, she was a calm and capable advocate for us and met us at exactly the speed we needed as our labor progressed. She has been a support in postpartum as well and provided me with the most glorious postpartum massage to ease my newfound back tension from breastfeeding. We feel so fortunate to have found Jessica - she is an incredible person who we hope to stay in touch with in future and highly skilled doula who enhanced and supported our birth experience so expertly. Thank you again, Jessica!

Jessica is AMAZING, and I could not recommend her more.  We hired Jess during my third trimester and had an instant connection with her.  Leading up to my birth, she helped us think through our birth plan and was completely supportive of all our choices.  She was a great resource when I wanted more information about a certain topic and was extremely responsive and easy to talk to. She also helped us practice deep breathing exercises, relaxation meditations, and coping techniques leading up to birth, and I used her for prenatal massage.

During my 3-day labor (yes, 3 days...) she was incredible.  She was a vital emotional support to me and my husband, and used her knowledge to help give me ideas on how to progress, including helping me try various once I got my epidural. She used her massage experience to help me manage the pain throughout the whole process, but also knew when I just needed my own space to relax or sleep or listen to music.

After my birth she came to check on me and provided me with tips around lactation and post partum recovery, and I have also used her for postpartum massage.  Jess is a truly wonderful person, and I'm happy to serve as a refernece if anyone would like to hear more about my experience.

Jessica was our birth doula, and she also helped us with our newborn baby postpartum. We feel very lucky to have had her with us on this journey. From the first interviews and in person prenatal visits, to her supporting us in the hosipital as well as in our home, we have always felt we could trust her and lean on her experience. We had an induction on our due date and were planning to use epidural as pain management in late labor. It was a real scare when epidural wasn't really working for me for at least a couple of hours (which in labor time felt like forever). Jessica's presence really calmed us down, and with her help I was able to navigate the pain and panic until medication finally kicked in. Our birth experience was less stressful with her being there, and we also appreciated her staying a while after our baby was born to make sure we were comfortable and got everything we needed.

We also had Jessica as a postpartum doula for a few weeks, and she was so good with our baby girl and made it possible for me to go out and grab a coffee and have some selfcare time every now and then. Our daughter loves the reading, walks, and playtime they had together. In addition, Jessica was always COVID cautious, which we appreciated so much during this time. AND, she gives great massages! We are so glad we found Jessica and we are thankful for all the help and support she gave us.

Jessica was the perfect addition to welcome our first baby to the world. Right from the interview, I felt confident in trusting her to be a knowledgeable support person not just through labor but beforehand, too. She's down to earth, has 'tricks up her sleeve' because of all her experience, welcomes easy and honest communication by being clear and concise with what she's sharing and asking, is passionate about what she offers/doula work, does fantastic body work/massage therapy (I drooled in my mask during our first session lol), and has such a comforting presence. As our little one grows through all his phases, we'll definitely be calling her up for advise, for childcare and just to check in and say hi!

Jessica was our birth doula for the birth of our first daughter on May 17, 2021. Our experience with her was terrific from start to finish. I'd initially been unsure about hiring a doula, as I had some concrns about involving anyone outside the family in such an intimate and vulnerable moment. However, having had Jessica there, I can't imagine the birth any other way. The services she provided were invaluable. The pre-birth visits were easy to arrange, she offered either phone or in-person to accomodate our comfort. The information she gave us helped me feel calm, prepared, and cared for ahead of the birth. She checked in often as my due date approached, and was always extremely flexible with her availability. Her presence at the hospital was calming and gave both myself and my husband a sense of being looked out for by someone who really knew "the ropes". Jessica looked out for needs I didn't know I had. She helped me engage with the medical professionals in a way that was not intrusive. She helped my husband especially, helping him to engage and be involved in the process. The birth did not go as planned and Jessica was a huge comfort in a challenging moment. I would recommend Jessica to anyone, and hope she will be available for any more additions to our family.

Jessica worked with our family for a month around the birth of our second child, and she was FANTASTIC! We were so grateful to have her wisdom and experience as she helped care for our high-energy toddler, and she also brought some great insights on caring for our newborn. Even as second-time parents we learned a lot from her! She was knowledgeable, caring, personable, and professional--everything you could ask for in a birth or sibling doula. She is a treasure and our family simply can't recommend her strongly enough.

We had a fantastic experience with Jessica before, during, and after labor.

We met a couple of times in the months leading up to labor. She did a great job of working with us to understand our birth plan, the challenges we were facing going into the birth - both physical pregnancy complications as well as emotional challenges that my wife and I were facing. Based on that, she provided us some meditation and mindfulness exercises to help out. Jessica spent time focusing not only on my wife but also me. Recognizing and reinforcing that we were a team and both going through shared and unique challenges.

For the birth itself, she was awesome. We had a rough birth with a lot of complications. Jessica was there and upbeat the whole time. She gave us support in every way we could have helped. Providing physical assistance, emotional support, providing and explaining the various birthing options. As we ran into complication after complication, she was there to give us a hand, explain and suggest alternatives. She overall helped keep my wife and I focused and calm. She was a great liaison between us and the doctors and nurses when necessary. She was constantly aware of and attentive to our needs whether we were directly asking for support or not. One thing I loved is that Jessica was genuinely curious and actively learning the whole time she was helping us. I love to see people engaged and excited about doing what they love.

Postpartum, she's been a great resource as well. She's done a great job of helping us prepare for this really tough period. She's one of the few people out there talking about this and was active in helping us through out.

One thing I loved is that Jess was genuinely curious and actively learning the whole time she was helping us. I love to see people engaged and excited about doing what they love.

Postpartum, she's been a great resource as well. She's done a great job of helping us prepare for this really tough period. She's one of the few people out there talking about this and was active in helping us through out.

Jessica was so lovely to work with and will always be a special part of our son's birth story! One of my favorite things about her was how available she was to us. She always made time to text or chat when we needed her. She is incredibly responsive and also provides extensive availability in her calendar so we could always schedule appointments when it was convenient for us. She brings a calm, supportive demeanor to the room and helped both my husband and me feel more at ease as we navigated multiple high risk factors. She was great at reminding us of our birth preferences and finding ways to work some of them in even though our birth did not go as we had hoped. She is full of helpful suggestions and ideas. When everything feels very out of your control, Jessica is great at finding little ways to help you regain some control, whether it is birth prep exercises or suggestions on ways to connect as a couple. Interview her - she is great to talk to!

Please let this serve as our rave review and recommendation for Jessica Mascher as our Doula during the pre-birth and post-natal of our second daughter.  She not only helped us acclimate to two kids, but connected famously with our oldest before the birth so that they would be able to spend quality time together when we had to have the baby.  She was especially communicative when we needed it most, offering her expertise on all subjects that had to do with baby, siblings, first time older sibling and post-natal pro tips.  We would recommend Jessica to anyone who need help before, during and after the birth, and her sibling doula bedside manner was just fantastic!

I was on the fence about getting a doula for my second birth, but I'm so glad that I did. Jessica was a fantastic addition to my birth experience. She was a calm, warm, relaxed, and flexible force before, during, and after my birth. I gave birth amongst the COVID craziness when hospital policies regarding doulas were constantly changing. With every change we made a new plan to maximize her assistance and she made me feel at ease. Having her around during birth was some how fun, energizing, relaxing, and motivating all at the same time. My husband and I are so glad we used Jessica and highly recommend her.

When we were looking for a doula for our first birth, we were hoping to find someone who we felt comfortable with and who had body work experience. After interviewing a couple candidates, we ended up picking Jessica.

Jessica immediately impressed us with how much training and knowledge she had when it came to her doula practice. I truly enjoyed getting to know her in the months leading up to my birth. She was extremely informed about birth work, sought to learn more by engaging with the birth work community, and took classes to improve her knowledge. Her communication was incredible and she was encouraging while also helping me be pragmatic about my upcoming labor.

These traits were all vital as my labor coincided with the rise of COVID-19 and the change in visitor rules. She kept us up to date of our hospital's policies and maintained frequent communication with me as I went through weeks of prodromal labor. Despite wanting a minimal intervention birth, it ended up being the complete opposite by starting with induction and ending with a c-section. She was supportive and encouraging throughout each obstacle we faced in my 40+ hour labor. She was constantly giving us ideas on how we could help progress labor and worked really hard to make sure both my partner and I were as comfortable as possible.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who could talk positively about Jessica as a doula when their labor goes as planned, but I think a professional’s true skill shows in how they respond when everything goes the other way. Jessica was a light and source of comfort in an otherwise difficult and traumatic labor. She made us feel confident about our decisions and helped us process what had happened after the fact. I would recommend Jessica to anyone and would be happy to have her help us in subsequent births.

My husband and I both loved working with Jess, whom we heard of through friends. She made us both feel very secure before and during the birth. Her sessions with us before birth were helpful for us creating a flexible plan. During the birth, she guided me through several coping techniques that were truly helpful. I ended up needing a c-section and Jess was in the OR with us and held my hand when my husband went to meet our son! Jess is an LMP and her prenatal massage was amazing, my water broke the next night! Also, she offers post-partum doula services which we have used. Lastly, she helped us find an overnight doula. We absolutely trust Jess and she receives our highest recommendation.

Jessica, aka "the sleep whisper", has been such a gift to us. We have been using her post partum and sleep consultant services since our new born was 4 weeks old and it's been a game changer. She has such a gentle disposition, is super knowledgeable and always helpful. She helped us gently guide Henry into a good sleep routine and at 3 months old, he started sleeping through the night!  She also does a great massage which has been so helpful for my post partum body! She's a triple threat!

My husband and I hired Jessica to help us after our son Leo was born on NYE 2019!  Jessica is absolutely amazing and exactly what we hoped for from a post partum doula.  We don't have family that is near by or able to help and she was so supportive!  She came and visited us at our house in Des Moines, WA pretty quickly after we got home from the hospital and then once a week for roughly 5 weeks after that.  She is very skilled in checking in with parents to see how they are doing emotionally and physically.  She is also a very soothing and calming presence to have in the house when you feel exhausted and a bit stressed.  She is very adept with little ones and our son seemed very comfortable with her.  She also is a great educator when we asked her questions. Further, she is very good at checking in and making sure you are comfortable and your preferences are being respected.  We used her to watch our son while we took naps, ran errands, and had a little date lunch.  She even did some laundry folding and dish washing for us.  We can only say great things about Jessica and have already recommended her to several people!

Jessica is a knowledgeable, supportive and a very kind spirit. I called her a bit desperate after the birth of my second child. Although I knew way more than I did the first time I still needed that expert-in-home support. I didn't realize that until we were home with my daughter. She was extremely responsive and quick to let us know when she could be available as well as offered a referral in the event her available time didn't align to our needs.

Her depth of expertise on everything from feeding, sleeping as well as how to integrate my son into baby care gave me confidence and reassurance in my vulnerable state postpartum. Jessica is also very good at expressing when something is out of scope from a postpartum doula perspective OR she doesn't know the answer. This made me trust her even more. I am grateful she was available to help our family in transition and recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for informed and compassionate postpartum support. After all - isn't that ALL OF US!!!

I had a great experience with Jessica as a birth doula for our first child. She is very calm and made me and my husband feel at ease through the whole process. It was important to me that he feel included too, and Jessica treated us like a team, allowing him to support me in the best way. She is well informed and unbiased. She listened well to my wishes and did not force any particular philosophy on me. While I leaned towards as little intervention as possible, I trusted that the doctors and the nurses ultimately knew best, and I was happy that Jessica was my advocate at all times while getting along great with the hospital staff. Ultimately I was induced with pitocin, delivered vaginally with an epidural for pain management. I highly recommend Jessica if you’re looking for a calm laid back personality to hold your hand through the labor process!

Jessica was a fantastic addition to our birthing team. She provided incredibly patient and engaging sibling care to our very spirited toddler so that my husband and I could focus completely on the home birth of our second son. Despite us hiring her primarily as a sibling doula, she was eager to speak with me at any time about the upcoming birth. She was so knowledgeable, warm, and responsive to any questions I had. It was a great comfort having her there to help our family through labor and birth!

Our family met Jessica this past fall after bringing our second child into the world. We asked her to help us with the massive sleep regression our nearly 3 year old son was having around the time of our daughter’s birth. At the time, the almost 3 year old was sleeping much worse than our newborn and a friend suggested connecting with Jessica. She came in and listened to our concerns, got a sense of our environment and personalities, and helped create a sleep plan for both our son and daughter. Our son was going to bed quickly and sleeping 12 hour nights in just 3 days. She gave us both the tools and the confidence to meet this challenge head on and we got almost instantaneous results.

After our experience with sleep, we had Jessica come in to help us with postpartum doula care as well. She was super helpful, amazing with the kids and taught me some great tricks for entertaining the toddler so I could get more done. We also had Jessica come in to help again with sleep when we needed to transition our daughter out of her bassinet (which happened to align with her four month sleep regression). The tools she taught us when she was still a newborn combined with some updates have allowed us to successfully transition her to her new sleep environment and to end swaddling seamlessly.

I did not really know what a postpartum doula did when we had our son and never reached out for help with his pretty rocky sleep patterns. I am so happy that I was introduced to Jessica this time around. It has made a huge difference in our lives. Both kids are sleeping well now, I am better rested and I am ready to tackle the challenges that lie ahead. I would strongly recommend reaching out to Jessica if you need any support with doula care or sleep consulting. She is awesome! She has saved us and made our first few months together as a family a lot less stressful and more fun.

Jessica has been a wonderful resource to our family! I started utilizing her prenatal massage services during my pregnancy and she was fantastic. She really listened to me and was able to "dig" into areas that other therapists were unable to touch. I felt like I actually made some progress with her. We also used her postpartum doula services. She came over during my first week postpartum and was super helpful with chores as well as with the baby and helping me with breastfeeding questions as well as how to perform a breast massage. Since those first early weeks we've had Jessica watch our baby for a few hours at a time while we get some alone time as a couple. We've also had her come over for some night shifts so we could get some sleep. Jessica is very sweet with our baby and she was always able to answer any questions we might have, including bottle feeding and infant sleep. I highly recommend working with her!

Jessica is amazing and we can't say enough good things about her! She was recommended to us by our doula who said that her gentle approach, and sweet personality would be a good match for us. She was right! We needed help getting our 3.5 month-old to sleep longer stretches at night, and to nap better during the day. We did not want to sleep train our child, we just needed help getting him to be more well-rested. Jessica knew all of the tricks! When she came to our house, she held our son, played with him, snuggled him, and tried to see how he would respond when he was put in his bassinet to nap. He hardly cried and we couldn't believe it! With Jessica's help, our baby now wakes only once a night, and takes regular naps throughout the day. He's happier, and hardly cries when it's bedtime or nap time. We don't spend an hour trying to get him to sleep only to have him wake up an hour later. It's been life-changing, and we honestly can't say enough about Jessica both as a sleep consultant and as a person. She has checked in on us multiple times since our visits, and she truly cares about the families she works with. We have recommended other families to her already! Thank you, Jessica! You have helped our family more than you know, and it's so nice to have a baby who is happy to go to bed and wakes up happy and well-rested. You're amazing! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Jessica was our postpartum doula for 12 weeks after my daughter was born. I cannot recommend her enough! Her skills, knowledge, kindness and compassion were just what I needed during those critical first weeks as a new mother. Her energy was such a blessing to have in the house. She is an amazing doula who takes hey profession seriously. She helped bring joy to my "fourth trimester"!

Jessica was absolutely wonderful with our newborn girl, and was incredibly helpful every time she came over. She was very knowledgeable about breastfeeding, infant sleep, infant massage and general baby care. She always had a great attitude and was eager to help with whatever we needed including cooking and laundry, which was wonderful especially during those first few recovery weeks. It was so reassuring to know our newborn was so well taken care of when I needed a break. Jessica would take her for stoller walks down to the library for story time, and was great at finding ways to soothe her during crying spells. She clearly loves babies, and is equally great at taking care of the families - I'm very glad we found her when we had our second child.

My first baby was a dream and slept through the night at ten months old, never looking back. My second was another story, and without Jessica's amazing and quick help, I'm sure I'd still be getting up at night to hand my daughter back her binky or her water bottle. With only a single phone call, Jessica was able to give me a few ideas to try to help my daughter be more independent at night, and within a week she was sleeping through the night, or at least, she was soothing herself back to sleep. I honestly wouldn't have even guessed that she was waking for the reasons she was, so I'm thoroughly happy that I reached out to her. She even kept in touch afterwards through text, checking in to see how our nights were going, and making sure we didn't need to try a different approach. My daughter just turned two in September and I'm happy to report she's still sleeping through the night (except for the odd tooth coming in!). I highly recommend Jessica for anyone's sleepy baby needs!

I would like to share what a great experience we’ve have with Jessica. We hired her to be our sibling doula for our 2 year old daughter while I gave birth to her little sister. We have no family close by and so finding someone that we trusted to stay with our toddler was very important to us. Jessica was an easy choice with her calm demeanor and vast knowledge of how to deal with children of all ages. She brings books and fun activities to play with our older daughter. Our daughter (who is not an easy crowd) really adores Jessica. She has also taken care of our newborn and seems so at ease with her. We are so fortunate that we can depend on Jessica. We look forward to having her watch our girls again soon.

Jessica is wonderful! We hired her primarily to work with our 2.5 month old who wouldn't take a bottle. She jumped right in and wasn't afraid to try out many things. She even observed how my husband was bottle feeding him and gave us tips.  After two sessions, he was able to take a bottle. In addition, she wrote us a wonderful summary of things for us to try in between her sessions. She went above and beyond while the baby was napping and helped with some of the household chores. Her energy is very calming and she is wonderful to talk to!

We had a great experience working with Jessica.  She went above and beyond in spending time with us/talking through things in advance (really seemed as though her time was totally open for us), and she was proactive about staying in touch and sending resources that answered our queries.

During the birth itself she was a vital part of our team.  As the mom I felt comfortable all the time, knowing I had an experienced ally with a very calm and friendly demeanor toward all the folks coming and going.  She, my husband and our labor/delivery nurse worked great together, I wouldn't have changed a thing.

Jessica brings great expereince with massage and post-partum doula care too, and those are valuable assets indeed!

Jessica served as the doula for the birth of our first child, Isaac. Jessica was the second doula that we interviewed but we knew right away we wanted to work with her. After our interview, we met with Jessica twice at our home to review our birth plan and walked through different birth scenarios.

Once I went into labor, we were in constant contact with Jessica by text and eventually, when the time was right, Jessica came over to our home to assist with the breathing/contractions, etc. The contractions were surprisingly painful and Jessica played a key role in helping me manage the pain by assisting with labor positions and exercises. A bit later we all headed over to the hospital and were admitted to a birthing room. Over the the next several hours, Jessica was an essential member of the team who struck the right balance between advising, cajoling and backing away when required.

Overall, we were very pleased with Jessica’s support throughout and would highly recommend her (as well as hire her again if I ever have another baby.)

Jessica was our sleep consultant for our 12 month old. We had one consultation together, and she demonstrated a wealth of knowledge about childhood sleep. She makes her terms of service clear from the beginning, and is easy to work with. She provided flexible soultions and suggestions that met our family's exact needs. She was kind and a great listener. I implented her sleep plan and my child learned to sleep on their own within 5 days. She provided timely responses to my emails and texts when I had questions, and provided throughrough responses. Jessica far exceeded my expectations in working with a sleep consultant and postpartum doula - I was shocked by how quickly my child's relationship to sleep changed. I highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for personalized and evidence-based sleep support.

Jessica has been a postpartum doula for our family for the past 2 months and has been fantastic! She is wonderful caring for my two year old, newborn, and supporting us as parents as we have been navigating becoming a family of 4. She has such a calming presence about her which is helpful in these postpartum days of sleep deprivation and hormone surges. She doesnt need me to tell her what to do but rather has been able to pick up on what our family and household needs have been. She also is great about checking in on what our family needs in terms of hours and was willing to add hours to accommodate our family’s needs. I would recommend Jessica over and over as a postpartum doula!

Jessica helped my 3-year-old, (and our household!) get better sleep. We've been co-sleeping on and off for our son's entire life, and have struggled with keeping a schdule and reinforcing bedtime. But with a new little one on the way, we knew we had to get some routines and good habits in place. Jessica provided great ideas and guidance without judgement. She really listened and helped us create a plan unique to our family. Now, we feel like we have some great tools to stay on track.

Jessica was a calming, yet confident, member of our birth team. She knew when to offer suggestions and when to let me do my thing. I felt very supported through some end of term uncertainty with a potential breech lie; Jessica would get in touch with me after appointments and send me suggestions of things I could be doing to help flip the baby, for comfort and to move things along. Mostly, Jessica was a wonderful and confident advocate for me in my hospital birth and her presence was well received by the staff - it was such a load off to have all parties able to work together. Jessica was fantastic!

I hired Jessica for the birth of our son in November. Jessica was easy to talk and relate to. We were having a home birth and she adapted her prenatal visits to our space and was alongside us figuring out how the rooms and furniture should go. During the birth itself, she played a crucial role during the time after my husband and I had run out of coping ideas on our own, and before the midwives came. We had a big birth team including student midwives, and Jessica seamlessly was able to work with them - this may have meant she played a smaller role that I had anticipated or that she plays in other births, but it was great to have all hands on deck for the long birth process.

Jessica is a wonderful postpartum doula with a calm demeanor and very knowledgeable in child care, massage, and breastfeeding. Even though she’s not a certified lactaction consultant she gave me so many useful tips on how to boost my milk production and how to ease the pain when I was struggling (she even made a batch of really delicious lactation cookies!) Her reassuring and positive attitude always made me feel better after every visit. As a first time Mom the first two weeks has been a haze, but Jessica picked up the pieces in the household and even held my baby so I could catch a quick nap. I feel very thankful we found her and chose her as our postpartum doula. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone to get you through those rough nights with a new baby.

Working with Jess was amazing! She was extremely knowledgeable about all things “birthy” and was an absolute rock when I was in labor. I found her demeanor to be extremely calming and grounding and really appreciated her gently yet confident approach during the intense moments.

Jessica far exceeded our expectations. She always arrived at our home with a smile and her calm demeanor helped our family cope with what was a very stressful time. She always rolled with whatever chaos was going on at our house and would find things to be helpful when the baby was sleeping. She gave me peice of mind and I always found myself looking forward to her visits.

My husband and I feel so fortunate to have had this beautiful soul in our lives for the birth of our first child. With our families far away, she made us feel truly cared for, before, during and after the big day. Throughout a long and difficult labor and delivery that did NOT go according to plan, Jessica stayed completely in tune with our emotions while maintaining a poised presence that put us as much at ease as we could be under the circumstances. She gave me sensitive emotional encouragement and expert physical coaching and comfort (including massage - she is a licensed massage therapist). She ensured my husband was sufficiently fed, rested and caffeinated so he could fully support me. She helped decode hospital procedures we didn’t understand, and in turn ensured our needs and preferences were clearly understood by all the medical staff we interacted with (who were wonderful, but rotated through several shifts during the labor). As we had requested as part of our birth plan, she kept a meticulous written timeline of events and took amazing photos that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives. And she even laughed genuinely at the probably inappropriate jokes we made along the way. Since our baby was born we’ve continued our relationship with Jessica through her massage therapy services and taking her infant massage class. Her sensitivity, humour, and down-to-earth attitude would be an asset to any birthing family, and we recommend her wholeheartedly. Thank you so much, Jessica!

My family and I had a great experience with Jessica as our doula. This was our first baby and I hadn't had any experiences with doulas, I just knew I wanted one to help me successfully navigate birth and the time surrounding it.

First, Jessica communicates quickly and effectivly which made scheduling the prenatal appointments with her very easy. At our first prenatal appointment she was able to answer our questions and provide us with valuable excerises and activities to practice at home to prepare for the birth. This was so helpful for me as I needed to feel like I was gathering 'tools' and doing something to actively work towards readiness as the end of my pregnancy became very close.

She also offers two prenatal massages as part of her standard doula package. This acheived the goal of feeling very comfortable with Jessica; something that I feel aided in feeling at ease with having her attend and support me during labor. She is a gifted massage therapist and I found this to be beneficial both prenatally and during labor.

When labor started, Jessica was quick to respond to the call to action. When she arrived, I was in active labor and she was able to jump in as a support person without any prompting or instruction; she just seemed to know the exact right things to be doing, which is probably the most important attribute of a doula. She exudes a quiet confidence which I was able to feel when I needed it most.

Not only did I feel that it was beneficial for me to have her support, but it was also important for my husband. He was able to be the type of support I needed because she was there to fill in the gaps in his knowledge and abilities. We would both highly recommend Jessica to any of our friends and family who are expecting a baby.

Jessica is an amazing person and doula.  She is responsive, detail-oriented and thoughtful.  Prior to labor and delivery, Jessica was diligent about following up on any questions we contacted her about and also sending helpful reminders prior to our medical appointments.  She is a wealth of helpful information.  During labor, Jessica provided both emotional support through her encouraging words and physical support through her massage.  She never missed a beat.  We feel so lucky to have had Jessica as our doula.

My husband and I met with Jessica for some help with our six-week old daughter. She was friendly and knowledgeable--from supplying us with tips to make her like bathtime more enjoyable and giving her massages, to spending nearly an hour with us explaining--and practicing using--the various carriers we have. Her extensive experience as a nanny also meant that our daughter was comfortable with her as well. We truly appreciated her time and expertise--and she was so friendly to boot. We would certainly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for post-partum help and guidance and plan to work with her again soon.

Jessica has been in my life wearing many hats for the last 3+ years. Starting with pregnancy massages with my first child, then relaxation massages after my baby was born.

Last year, pregnant with my second, my husband and I had a doula consult lesson. The relaxation techniques and calming massage she taught my husband helped to keep me calm during the hours of induced labor allowing my body to do what it needed culminating in a healthy vaginal delivery.

Shortly after my second was born, I was in a car accident. Jessica moved into yet another role, treatment massage. Every time I leave her studio, I feel so relaxed and relieved from the back pain that is plaguing me.

Jessica has been wonderful in every capacity I have hired her in. She is a very competent person with a calming demeanor and voice.

Jessica was amazing. I had seen her for prenatal massage (which is wonderful and included in her doula package) and asked if she was available for my due date. She is calming, down-to-Earth, and professional. At our prenatal meetings, she helped get me information for labor and birth plans. At the hospital she was crucial in keeping me calm and helping me realize my goal for a natural birth. When I first came into triage when my water broke, the doctor told me I would probably have to augment my labor with pitocin, but Jessica arrived and helped me get it all moving. She was encouraging and wonderful and actively involved from triage through delivery. When she did leave ( late for a trip to see family) my delivery nurse even commented that Jessica was one of the best doulas she had seen in a delivery room. To be honest, much of the day was a blur, but I am confident that the arrival of my daughter would have been much more difficult, stressful, and messy without her. I highly recommend Jessica as a wonderful person and a spectacular doula.

I've interviewed five doulas before i found Jessica. Her calm personality, speciaty in massage therapy, and knowledge with childbirth, ability to connect with me and my partner are the key reasons to hire her. During the labor, she was a great help. She is always ask about my preferences, how do i feel and utlize different method to help me with coping the pain. I went for non medicated nature child birth. At one point when the pain became too intense, i asked about epidural. She suggested to use the hot bath one more time, because that's what make me comfortable. I took her suggestion and went through the labor without epidural. I am thankful that we chose her as our doula and she did a perfect job to help us reach the goal we were aiming for.

Jessica Mascher is an amazing doula.  At every appointments she was professional, answered our questions with thoughtfulness (one of which "was what does a doula do?!"), encouraged us to make informed decisions, provided resources and intuitively understood what we needed throughout our pregnancy.  This carried over to the birth as well.  I had the stressful experience of having to be transfered from a birth center to a hospital and I could not have had the birth I did without her help.  My personal goal was to have a natural birth, but more than that, to have an experience of which I could be proud.  Throughout the transitions, Jessica remained extremely calm and helped me to stay strong, not giving in to fear and stress.  She coached me through my labor and was a support to my husband, guiding him through her actions and providing him with breaks.  Jessica understands the different parts of labor: she knew I was in active labor, when I was transitionning and when it was time for me to push.  She was a huge support when I needed to be advocated for (dialation checked, interference with the doctor, etc.) and she intervened for me without hesitation, dealing with healthcare professionals so that I could focus on labor and also follow my birth plan.  Without her help, confidence and strenght I would not be as proud of my birth story as I am.  On top of everything, Jessica is super fun.  I recommend her without hesitation.

Jessica is a calm, knowledgeable and caring doula. She has a lot of knowledge about how to prepare for childbirth, such as exercises to do for fetal positioning and relaxation exercises. I appreciated that she met with us two times before the birth to discuss all the things that were on our minds. The strategies she suggested were very much in line with the birth preparation we had done through the Penny Simkin Natural Birth classes, so it felt nice to be on the same page. Jessica was very open to our wishes and worked to help us prepare for the birth we envisioned. My planned homebirth turned into a hospital transfer and Jessica was available and supportive through the whole process. Since my birth deviated a lot at the last minute from the original plan, it was invaluable to still have a familiar, reassuring person with us through the whole birth. She does a great job of checking in with you through texts and emails, she sends along helpful articles and information and her massages are excellent too!

Having Jessica at the birth of our son was invaluable. My husband was so appreciative to have another team member there supporting us and advocating for us so he didn't feel all the burden during an intense and overwhelming time. Jessica was a strong but gentle presence in the room keeping an overbearing nurse at bay and stepping in to help me out with breathing techniques when I got the sudden urge to push but was told it was too soon. The two prenatal visits and massages my husband and I each got as part of Jessica's service helped us feel completely prepared, confident, and trusting. We would work with Jessica again in a heartbeat and recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.

Jessica is an amazing doulah and we were so lucky to have found her! Her prenatal visits were very helpful and informative. We were first time parents with a lot of questions and she answered everything - and always went the extra mile sending us resources and follow up emails. I felt that she was really there for us and that we were in good hands. Her prenatal massage was wonderful and really helped me relax. It was an amazing perk!  Our birth experience was full of the unexpected and Jesdica was with us every step of the way. She was a wonderful advocate to have with us in the hospital as well as a great source of comfort and reassurance. Her coaching during labor was amazing, I could not have done it without her! She helped me conserve my energy and make every push count. The follow up prenatal care with Jessica was wonderful as well. She provided resources and recipes to help with lactation.  The entire birthing experience was better having her there with us! I wholeheartedly recommend Jessica and am grateful she was there for us and our baby!

We hired Jessica for the birth of our second child and she was absolutely amazing!  Jessica is a healer in every sense of the word and was so comforting, unflappably calm, and quietly reassuring during what turned out to be a very chaotic, fast labor.  She was the perfect complement to my husband during labor and they worked seamlessly together to support me.  Jessica  always knew exactly what to do to comfort me, without me ever having to ask - and it was the little things that I really appreciated like massaging my feet while I labored or holding my hand when my husband had to step away.  I would absolutely recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a supportive, healing presence for your birth.  You will be so glad you did - we certainly were!

Jessica was referred to me by a dear friend whom I trust very much, especially with parenting tips. Jessica came over to our home and instantly I was struck by her calm presence. Our dog, who can get excited and bark, was immediately calm and ready to dote upon Jess her entire visit. Although she's young, Jessica knows her stuff and is very nurturing. We knew right away that she would be a good fit for us. She was wonderful with checking in on me, remembering doctor appointments I had, and quick to answer any of my questions or concerns. I would highly recommend her for this important time. Having someone who's experienced, nurturing, organized, and non judgemental is clutch for the big day! WE LOVE JESSICA!

PS She's also a WONDERFUL massage therapist, double score :)

Jessica helped us in our home a couple of times as an overnight nanny when we were in desperate need of some sleep!  She took care of our 4-month old throughout the night while we rested and slept upstairs.  Her many years of childcare experience and medical background as a doula put me at ease when hiring her to care for our son.  Jessica's gentle nature, helpful attitude and obvious love for babies and kids further affirmed our decision to work with her in our time of need.  I will add she is also a very clear communicator, punctual if not early, and ready to work when she walks in the door.  Whether you're just looking for a good night's sleep uninterrupted by a baby, or a date night sitter - I'd recommend Jessica for a variety of childcare needs.

We had a wonderful experience with Jessica. My husband and I both liked her so much when we meet her that we cancelled our other doula interviews. She was very sweet and genuine with a soothing manner and voice. Before labor both of us saw her for a massage and were very happy with them. She was easy to get a hold of when we needed her and also checked in with us if she hadn't heard from me in a while. During labor she was a god send! She did a great job of gently keeping us focused and suggesting comfort measures but also backing off when my husband and I were having our moments. She was a comforting presence and I couldn't imagine doing it without her. Especially since we ended up getting transferred to the hospital for an emergency C-section. It was great having a support person there for my husband as I was in surgery and she helped us ask all the right questions to make sure we got the care we wanted. I will absolutely call her when we're ready to have our second child.

I had a wonderful birth experience and Jessica was a HUGE part of that.  Her prenatal care was awesome.  She is incredibly genuine and a natural caretaker.  She is very knowledgeable about pregnancy and the birth process and you can tell that she really enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience.  Jessica is very open minded and her primary focus was always on me and my husband and helping us to have the birth experience that WE wanted.  For example, I decided to use the hypnobabies philosophy and she wanted to be sure that she supported me in that; she educated herself on the philosphy even though she was familiar with hypnobirthing which is similar but not the same.  When I went into labor, Jessica came immediately when I called even though I told her that she probably could take another massage client before coming since I expected it to be a long process.  Nope, she cancelled her appointments and came right away.  She was so supportive while I was in labor and I cannot say enough about how helpful massage during labor was!  She is a very talented masseuse (I've had a lot of professional massages and she is among the best).  She is intuitive and caring, I felt totally at ease with her instantly.  I enjoyed three prenatal massages with Jessica as well which were just amazing.  Aside from her knowledge and experience as a doula and massage therapist I cannot say enough about her spirit.  She is just a truly sweet, caring, intuitive, and passionate person, not to mention dedicated.  She continues to check in on me (5 weeks post partum) and I feel like I've made a friend for life.  I HIGHLY recommend Jessica as both a doula and a massage therapist.  She is absolutely wonderful.

Jessica was a tremendous pleasure to have for the birth of our second child.  We had several meeting before the birth with plenty of time to cover the various aspects of what our ideal birth plan would be.  She was knowledgeable with suggestions and respectful of everything that I wanted.  She was ready with potential positions to labor in, massage techniques, visualization and even a book that covered natural remedies to induce labor when I was a week overdue.  When the time came, I pretty much dealt with the contractions on my own and she never pressured me to do anything I didn't want to, but very much listened to what I wanted.  She loaned me a birthing ball which helped a great deal in the early labor and allowed me to spend extra time at home more comfortably before I decided to go to the hospital.

overerall she was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.

My experience with Jessica Mascher was amazing. I enjoyed the connection that we made in understanding and helping me from the first beginning as well as coming together with a birthing plan. One thing that she did with me was coming to the labor and delivery tour with me. I loved her services that were given at the time of labor. The breathing technique, the massages, and having a lot of patience with me. If I were to have another baby I would highly recommend Jessica again because she is very supportive and easy to get along with.
