It is with immense gratitude and joy that I pen this review for Alaina, our extraordinary doula, whose unwavering support and expertise guided us through the miraculous birth of our second daughter. Opting for a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), we were naturally filled with both hope and apprehension, yet Alaina transformed this journey into an experience of empowerment and serenity. From the outset, her warm demeanor and eloquent reassurance put us at ease, creating a sacred space where our birth preferences were not only heard but honored with deep respect.

Alaina’s exceptional ability to weave her profound background in neuroscience with heartfelt compassion was nothing short of remarkable. She brought a unique blend of scientific insight and nurturing care, ensuring that every decision was informed and every moment infused with kindness. My husband, who might have otherwise felt sidelined, was seamlessly included in the process—Alaina’s gentle guidance empowered him to be an active, confident partner. Her presence elevated what could have been a daunting endeavor into a beautifully orchestrated dance of trust and triumph.

The result was a VBAC that felt as close to perfection as we could have dreamed, a testament to Alaina’s dedication and skill. For anyone considering a VBAC or TOLAC (Trial of Labor After Cesarean), I cannot recommend Alaina highly enough. She is a rare gem—a doula who not only supports but inspires, leaving an indelible mark on the sacred journey of bringing life into the world.

My husband and I had a great experience with Alaina. This was our first birth and the sessions we had with her prior to giving birth were so helpful in walking through the entire process, the different possibilities, and all of our preferences. We were so grateful for Alaina during our induction - she was very helpful with pain control, positioning, and talking through decisions as they came up. She was also a huge support to my husband through the whole birthing experience. Alaina came to our house within a week after birth to help with lactation as well which was so nice - very hard to leave the house at that point. Overall highly highly recommend Alaina as a birth doula - she is intelligent, professional, kind, easy going, and respectful of all birth preferences. We trusted her completely.

Alaina was awesome!! She was so helpful throughout my pregnancy - answering questions from both my husband and I, going over details of what to expect in the hopsital, practicing labor positions, giving me stretches to help by body be ready, etc. She was willing to meet us at our house once labor had progressed, and when we deciced to meet at the hospital instead she already had me all checked in so we could just be taken right up to our room. She sat with me, talked to me, sang worship songs with me, kept my husband calm, and helped me try multiple positions (especially because I had an anterior placenta so some of the things I had wanted weren't comfortable for me to try). When I had slight issues after the delivery she held my baby to my breast to nurse for me right away and helped me multiple times post delivery with positions/tricks for breastfeeding since I a first time mom. She was everything I had hoped for in a doula and I hope to use her again someday. My husband and I are so thankful for her kindness, expertice, and genuine approach to our care!

We truly had the best experience with Alaina, she was absolutely wonderful-before, during, and after our birth! She was so supportive, extremely knowledgeable, and thought of everything! We trusted her completely. Very thankful to have had her as my doula.

Alaina was an amazing doula! We had her for our 5th child, and before this I had never had a doula at my births. To overcome some mental hurdles of birthing at a hospital I had previously had a C-section at, I knew I wanted extra support. Alaina was that and SO much more. I felt so supported throughout the whole experience, and she went above and beyond for our birth. You can tell she really cares for her clients by how intentional she is and her willingness to do extra for you to have a natural birth. She is also insanely smart and very knowledgeable about our body and the birth process. I learned so much from her, even on our 5th time around!

If we have more babies, I want her there by my side!

I chose Alaina as my doula after meeting with her and hearing about the passion she has for moms and the birth experience. She dedicates a lot of time to up-to-date research and advocacy measures. You know she's on your team. I have taken two classes with her - breastfeeding and childbirth education. She is very engaging as a teacher and cares about the information she presents. I know we'll be well taken care of with Alaina on our team. She is awesome!

It was so great to have Alaina there for my labor and delivery of my son! My husband and I decided to not have anyone else in the hospital with us (unlike with my first born), and we decided to practice the Bradley Method and be as natural and unmedicated as possible. Alaina was an amazing coach and positive energy through it all, especially when labor wasn’t going exactly how I had imagined it to happen. Her relaxation methods and positive affirmations helped me through every single contraction, and her and my husband ‘s reassurance prepared me for the next contraction with confidence. I most definitely recommend a doula for every pregnancy, labor and delivery! And if you have Alaina by your side, you can have complete trust that you’re in good hands!
