Meredith is an amazing doula. We wanted a more informed and grounded experience than our first birth and Meredith met us where we were as second-time parents to help us refresh our knowledge, name our hopes, and meet our fears. They provided exceptional personalized care. Their calm, encouraging demeanor was a consistent source of strength during labor. They helped us to become informed and empowered us to make decisions — we felt seen and supported in every interaction. Meredith is caring, knowledgeable, and reliable, and has made a lasting impact on us all.

Meredith is one powerful doula! Their calm yet commanding presence supported us in safely and joyfully achieving our labor and delivery goals (natural hospital birth). They stayed actively engaged with both of us through ALL 20+ hours of labor and helped us feel confident in advocating for our preferences. Throughout our pregnancy they offered valuable, tailored resources and thoughtful affirmations. We felt, and still feel, their genuine care and love for our family during the whole process - pregnancy, labor, and postpartum -- of bringing our child into the world.

Meredith was an invaluable support in our recent pregnancy. In our prenatal sessions, they walked us through evidence-based information to help prepare us for birth that was tailored to our particular medical situation and birth goals. They always made both of us (the pregnant person and the partner) feel included. As I got closer to my due date, it was such a relief to know I could text them to see if symptoms I was experiencing were normal, and they always responded quickly and with practical, useful suggestions. That became extra true when I unexpectedly went into labor a teeny bit early-- it was great to have their support and advice as I labored at home, and even better to have their calming presence and advocacy once we went to the hospital. We loved working with Meredith and would recommend their services to anyone!

Meredith was great. We did two sessions before labor and one session after labor. As a future father, I found there was not a lot of information given to me to help me visualize the labor process at home and in the hospital. Meredith clearly and succinctly laid out each stage of the process which helped me be a better supporter of my wife while she did all the hard work. I felt way more prepared and comfortable in the hospital and throughout the whole process because of Meredith!

My wife and I cannot say enough positive things about having Meredith attend the birth of our second child. They were incredibly supportive, non-judgemental and just wonderful at meeting us exactly where we were in each part of the process. Meredith was crucial to providing my wife the support she needed while I was laboring and was an integral part of our care team both at home and at the hospital.

We hired Meredith for the birth of our second child, after a tough and traumatic first birth that resulted in an emergency c-section. Above all we were looking for someone empathetic, understanding, and non-judgemental, as I was hoping to have an in medicated VBAC but open to an epidural or a C-section if that ended up being best. Meredith was incredibly flexible, caring, and supportive in the weeks leading up my due date, and an invaluable presence at the labor itself. At one point I had the shakes for several hours in the wee hours and Meredith was by my side the whole time stroking and reassuring me and providing my husband with much-needed breaks. In the end I had a VBAC that in many ways redeemed my first experience and Meredith was an important part of making that happen.

We hired Meredith for the birth of my second child and that was the best decision that we made. She is very knowledable, caring and suppprotive during the whole birth process.

We had several intoductory meet-ups befor the labor, and she would listen to our concens carefully, and she would make very useful suggetsions/comments and later would follow up with more useful links or videos to study and watch.

She was the only support person present in my labor, and her calm presence helped me to go through a very tough labor. my son was born very early morning, and she stayed with me till my husband could join me though she was supposed to leave the hospital right after his birth. I really appreciate her limitless support during before and after the labor.

She is a very caring and compassionate person, and it was truly a please to work with her.

Meredith did a fantastic job being available and committed to my birthing experience. It was my second pregnancy, so I was pretty well versed in the process of birth already, but Meredith was there for me emotionally (which was my primary goal of having a doula) and she also had knowledge of things that came up throughout my pregnancy.

She was heavily focused on making sure you, as the pregnant person, felt heard and respected throughout your care with your birthing team. She knew my appointment schedule and always asked me how things went, if I felt comfortable, and if any of my concerns were taken seriously. Towards the end, being that I was developing preeclampsia, she was communicating with me daily to stay up to date with my needs. She came to my birth at 4:30 in the morning (such a trooper) and luckily I had a quick delivery! She was very quick to help me with positions, counter pressure, words of affirmation, etc. She stuck around after to make sure I was in a good head space and then we communicated throughout the next couple of weeks so that she could check on me postpartum. I truly enjoyed working with her.

Meredith was great to work with! Unfortunately my labor went so quickly that I didn't get to have her with me during birth, but she stayed in the hospital with me for some time afterwards, and visited the house a few days later.

Prior to my due date, Meredith met with my husband and me at our home, and went over our birthing plan and wishes. This put me very much at ease knowing that everything was in place and that we had a general plan for how we wanted things to go.

After I gave birth, Meredith stayed and talked to me while my husband was with our newborn (getting weighed, measured, shots - typical newborn things at the hospital). It was wonderful to have someone to talk to during that time, and get my mind off any medical procedures occurring to me.

A few days later, Meredith stopped by the house and dropped off some soup - it was wonderful to see her again, and I ate froze the soup for use when I needed a quick lunch. It was delicious and very nourishing!

If you want someone respectful and knowledgeable, I'd recommend Meredith.

We had an excellent experience with Meredith as our birth doula. Meredith was very helpful with calming my nerves having a lot of prelabor and a few false alarms for labor which were very stressful and frustrating. The meetings before labor were very helpful to make plans and practice birthing positions and pregnancy stretches. My labor was extremely fast so through no fault of their own Meredith was not able to assist with much of my labor so I cannot speak much on how supportive Meredith would be during labor, but based on all our other experience with Meredith I am sure they would be very helpful and calming during labor.

I interviewed 4 doulas, after i spoke with Meredith and corresponded with her a few times, I knew that she was the one. She has a background in Kinesiology, her philosophy is rooted in science, and empathy. She listened to my needs, guided me, and supported my choices 100% of the way.

Meredith was super responsive to emails, text messages, and jumped out of bed at 3:00am to meet as I started to labor. She provided me with all the tools necessary that helped me cope with my delivery and it was as smooth as it could have been.

If you have are still reading this review, I want to add that all the "admin" things with Meredith was super easy as well. Her contract was straightforward. Once we got the ball rolling, she created a google folder with all the relevant birth questionnaires and literature. Meredith is well organized and is on top of it! I wouldn't overlook these details when choosing a doula, as this will also simplify your life.

This was my second child and I wish that I worked with Meredith for my first one.

We had the pleasure to work with Meredith for the birth of my second child and I am so glad we hired her. Her knowledge, experience and compassion helped me getting through some times of uncertainty during my pregnancy and she was the best support I could wish for during birth. TLDR: Hire her! :-)
More details: Prior to giving birth, she helped me a lot with my questions and anxiety around VBAC and really tried to understand (and helped me figure out) what I wanted for the time in the hospital/in labor. She also introduced me to her backup which I really appreciated since one of my biggest fears was that I would have to be alone at birth.
In this short period of time I felt like she really got to know me and my family and it felt very natural to have her with me when it was time to give birth.
Her calm and comforting presence was exactly what I needed when I was in labor and she was very reassuring whatever decisions I made in terms of pain control.
I loved that she wrote down her version of the day I gave birth and gave it to me afterwards. Such an amazing memory of things I wouldn't have remembered of this special day.

My husband and I worked with Meredith as our birth doula for our first pregnancy and delivery in December 2021. I am so delighted that we were able to work with her. We did 4 prenatal sessions and one postpartum visit in addition to my hospital labor and delivery. It seems like the number one defining quality that Meredith bases her practice on is meeting her clients where they are and supporting them in finding the path through labor and delivery that works for them. This was really important to me as I didn't want to feel pressured to labor in a certain way. For example, I wanted to try laboring without medical pain interventions and Meredith supported me and my husband in this plan, but she also supported me when I decided to have an epidural placed later on in labor. She also helped us think about different things that could come up during labor and feel emotionally prepared for the plan changing. Some of the activities we did in our prenatal sessions helped open up conversations between my husband and me that were helpful to have before the labor. I also really appreciate that Meredith's practice is intentional about being inclusive and trauma informed. Most of all, I felt like Meredith truly cared about us and our experience. She was proactive about checking in with me as my due date got closer and offered multiple times to talk through decisions like induction etc. She also made herself available when I was struggling postpartum and helped connect me with people who could help even though she wasn't technically working with us anymore. She also set up a Google folder for us with all the materials which I still reference in caring for my daughter. I would strongly recommend working with Meredith for anyone but especially for those who are looking to feel in control of their own process but supported and truly cared for along the way.

We had a wonderful experience with Meredith. We were very happy that we had her through the labor and birthing process. She was very knowledgeable and helped us think through options the doctors presented so we could make the best choices for us. She was a pleasure to work with.
