We booked Dorinda for the 8 wks after our son was born, and she was such an incredible resource and support - I couldn't imagine going through it without her! In addition to being great with our son and helping us get the sleep we needed, she was an incredible resource for my husband and I, being first time parents. She is not only a wealth of knowledge but is also incredibly personable, supportive, open-minded, and easy to talk to. She helped us put in place great sleeping and feeding habits and identify cues (e.g. gas vs hunger) that started us on a really solid footing as well as gave us confidence that we'll be able to navigate new hurdles in the future. She is very communicative and detail-oriented and really thinks through all of the little things that can help your night go that little bit smoother. We can't speak highly enough about our experience with Dorinda and would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone considering a postpartum doula!

We are so happy that we booked Dorinda for the first six weeks after our baby was born. There are no family members around the area and we were anxious and worried about everything. When Dorinda showed up the first night after we came home from the hospital, we were relieved to know that our baby is in good hands and we can finally have some rest. I agree that Dorinda does have the magic touch with baby and our baby was able to establish a good sleeping and night feeding habit from the beginning with her help. I also felt very supportive during those night nursing sessions where I could share my new mom concerns with Dorinda and ask her questions. She makes sure to check in with me and the baby regularly during her off days and share helpful resources via text. She is so experienced and knowledgeable with her job, but also encouraging, easy going and fun to talk to. We are always at ease whenever she comes to take care of our baby and learned so much from her. We are already missing her and highly recommend booking her if possible!

Dorinda is absolutely amazing and has been an invaluable resource for us as first time parents. Dorinda took care of our 3 month old for several weeks as we transitioned back to work and navigated a sleep regression. She was encouraging and helped us to make some subtle adjustments to our little guy’s schedule and helped us to get back on track with a regular sleep schedule. In addition to helping us with our little guy, she was so supportive of us as parents. We’ll always be thankful and grateful we found Dorinda!

Amazing night doula! We booked last minute, and I'm so glad it was Dorinda. She spent 6 weeks with our boy/girl twins after they got out of NICU. We met with her beforehand and knew she was skilled, warm, knowledgeable, and loved what she does. She was excellent with our babies. Dorinda also taught us tricks to help with sleep. She left detailed notes for us in the morning so that we could keep track of their progress. By the time she left, they were both sleeping much longer stretches. I only wish she could stay with us for longer as the much needed sleep was so helpful in those first months! Highly recommend.

We hired Dorinda after the first 6 weeks with our newborn. We have other kids and the sleepless nights had finally caught up with me. I really felt like I was in the "danger zone": falling asleep with baby on my chest and no longer waking to his cries. I was desperate.

The universe certainly worked in our favor when we found Dorinda. Remarkably she had an unexpected window of availability and came to my rescue. My husband quickly referred to her as "my angel". The anticipation of her arrival each night gave me a sense of calm and comfort throughout the day. She walked into the house with a peaceful energy. I remember offering her a glass of water on the first night and she immediately responded "I am here to take care of you". I could have cried. How often as mothers do we have someone taking care of us? She was there not just for baby but for me as well. And every mother has their own special way of caring for their newborn. She brought her experience and appreciated mine.

In the mornings, I woke up happy and rested and that affected the whole household. Suddenly I could function for my kids, my husband and work. She would leave small notes with positive messages near the baby and send lengthy notes from her evenings with him. I delighted in these notes as they indicated just how much she enjoys her work. She shared details about his feed times which was to be expected but also his hand positioning, tiny noises and expressions. He knew he was safe wirh Dorinda. It was such a relief to know my baby was in the care of this very special person.

i only wished we had hired her sooner. Night doulas are often booked in advance of the birth. We were so fortunate to have Dorinda. It was a short period of time but I still reflect on her time with us. As a result of this experience, I have become a huge advocate for night doulas. Whether you work, have multiples or other kids, it doesn't matter; everyone can benefit from a "Dorinda".

Highly recommended! Choosing Dorinda as our postpartum doula was the best decision! Our son was born 19 days early and Dorinda made sure to be available for our first night home. She also provided lots of great encouragement and advice before he even arrived. Many of her suggestions were things we did not think of which have made our transition to first time parents easier (you’ll have to book her to find out!) Throughout our time with Dorinda, she provided so much love and care to our baby. We were able to catch up on sleep the nights she was with him without any worries knowing he was well taken care of. Not only did she give us the chance to sleep but she had great newborn knowledge that we’ve been able to implement on our own. The support she provided is invaluable. Dorinda is a fantastic doula and person and we’re so lucky to have made such a great new friend ??

We highly recommend Dorinda as a postpartum doula. She supported our family during the first month of our baby's life. Our experience as first time parents was complicated by a difficult labor & delivery with some health issues and our hospital stay kept getting extended - Dorinda was very understanding and flexible, and was even able to provide support at the hospital for two nights. She had a calming presence that helped us cope with the stressful situation, and we felt better knowing that she would also be there to support us when we did finally go home. She was great at keeping our baby calm and get to sleep, which helped us get the rest we needed. Dorinda also offered lots of practical advice on breastfeeding, soothing, feeding, and sleep for the baby while being supportive of our preferences. We felt much more confident taking care of our newborn after having her support!

Dorinda was A-mazing!  We absolutely loved her as a doula.  We've had atleast 5 other doula experiences, and interviewed 10+, between our little one and our 3 year old. Dorinda is, BY FAR, our favoriate!

We really enjoyed meeting her and after his first night we felt completely confident with her watching our baby! It can be scary having a stranger watch your baby, but we had the complete opposite with Dorinda. 

Her education, advice and safety are exponentially higher than others. She is very caring and thoughtful.  My wife and I joke about having another child just so we can use Dorinda again!

One morning our older guy (3 years old) woke up a little early, right as Dorinda was leaving.  She ended up sticking around long just to play with him!

If you’re considering hiring Dorinda, I would strongly encourage you to, and suggest to book her for as many nights and months as possible. Previously, with our first child, we had four Postpartum Doulas, and now with our second, we had three. After working seven Doulas, (2 day and 5 night) and interviewing many more, and I can say that Dorinda, is definitely one of the best Doulas I’ve come across. She genuinely cares about the baby she is taking care of and you as a recovering mother. She is very easy to talk to and great fun to have around. Of all the Doulas I’ve had, she seemed to be the most attentive to baby’s needs. The nights she was there I slept very well knowing that my baby would be taken care of without question. She’s very nurturing, sweet and encouraging — I was happy for my baby to be in her calm presence while I slept (much better than a frazzled sleep deprived, healing mother). I highly recommend Dorinda, to help you take care of your baby. I would easily recommend her to other friends or family members that I know, that are able to splurge on postpartum care. If I were to have a third baby, I would book her five-days-a-week for five months.

Dorinda was our postpartum doula for the first 8 weeks after our son was born. She was with us from the first night we got back from the hospital and was such an important and necessary part of our journey as new parents. She took away much of the fear and uncertainty of being first time parents. She was great with the baby and has such a calming and confident personality. She's also lovely to chat with and fun to be around - smart and witty! She taught us so much and always had great guidance and resources. By the end of her time with us she was able to give baby some bottles overnight so that we could get much needed sleep. We miss her so much and wish she was still with us!!

Our family used Dorinda for her post partum overnight doula services.  We knew from our first (video) conversation with her that we were a good match and that was confirmed when she started working for us.  She had a magic touch with our baby, and consistently calmed her and kept her quiet for the entire night.  She knew what our baby needed, and provided detailed reports after each shift.  Dorinda also helped with tasks such as folding laundry and washing bottles, which we greatly appreciated.  She offers good communication and also shared helpful resources to help us with our transition.  Her experience, caring and knowledge sets her apart as someone who ranks in the top of their peers.  We give our endorsement to Dorinda.

Dorinda was invaluable to us with our daughter. Our daughter was born with hip dysplasia and had to wear a brace. She refused to sleep on her back and wanted to be held a night. It was killing me. I might have literally died without Dorinda's help. Not only was she patient and kind with our little one but she was a huge support system to me during the postnatal period. She always had encouraging words and her compassion was heartfelt. We felt safe leaving our baby in Dorinda's care. She is trustworthy, cautious, patient and kind. I highly recommend Dorinda to any family looking for a support person they can trust and count on.

Dorinda came over to my house the day I came home from the hospital with my little premie newborn. I had a c-section and was limited in my mobility and was pretty swollen all over. Dorinda was so helpful in watching over my baby as my husband and I got settled down. She snuggled with my baby and sang her songs just like it was her own. Over the next few days, Dorinda showed me various ways to breastfeed and resources on newborn feedings as I was having trouble with that. She has a sweet and calm demeanor that was so comforting, it took away a lot of the anxiety I was having. She was so supportive and friendly. I highly recommend Dorinda if you are looking for someone to ease your transition to motherhood!

As first time parents we read all the books, took tips from other parents we knew but nothing could have prepared us for having our first son. Dorinda came on our first night home from the hospital and after one night we knew that it was the best decision hiring her. With a hard birth and postpartum recovery we extended our time with Dorinda and it was amazing. We were able to rest,  recover and felt more confident in our parenting with her help. She taught us so much and helped our son get on a great sleeping schedule. By five weeks he was sleeping 10hrs a night and we will be calling her when we find out we're pregnant again. Couldn't thank her enough for how she helped our family.
