We had an incredible experience working with Kate throughout the pregnancy and delivery of our first child. She was calm, supportive and professional through all of our interactions and shared so much helpful information without us ever feeling any judgment. Leading up to the birth she helped educate us on the different paths to delivery, allowing us to craft our ideal birth plan. When the time came and things undoubtedly changed, she was a wealth of knowledge, giving us all the confidence to make our own decisions in the delivery room that left us with a birth experience we can look back on positively. The atmosphere Kate created in the delivery room with both physical touches (twinkle lights, affirmation cards) and her encouraging personality gave both my husband and I everything we needed to bring our daughter into this world healthy & happy.

Being a first time mom I wanted the extra support that a doula would bring. Kate was easy to get in touch with and put my mind at ease once my contractions started. Once contractions intensified she met us at our home with a few comfort measures that made all the difference. I continued labouring at home until we decided it was best to go to the hospital. Kate was also a great support to my partner as well. During my labour Kate was right by my side lending words of encouragement along the way. Even though I hired Kate fairly late in my pregnancy i would not hesitate to use Kate again or recommend her, I wouldn't have been able to have such a calm unmedicated birth without her support.

Kate was an excellent member of our birthing team earlier this year. 

Empathetic, hard-working, very knowledgeable and supportive, she was able to anticipate our needs at each stage of the delivery.

We would highly recommend Kate as a birth doula, especially if you are first-time parents.

We hired Kate when temporarly relocated to Calgary from Toronto and it became clear our first child, Birdie, would be born there. At the time we were going through a loss in the family, so never was it more important to have a "rock" along with us on our journey becoming new parents. 

I can't say enough about how much Kate's support and guidance meant to my wife and I both pre and post partum (and especially during the delivery). She was always available to answer our questions, lend support, or offer a helpful suggestion. 

Kate is a irreplacable part of the biggest moment in our lives, and we can't reccomend her more highly.

We really appreciated having Kate walk alongside us as we welcomed our first child. Both leading up to the birth, during, and after, Kate provided us with both the resources and support we needed to make well informed decisions for our family. She listened without judgement as we shared our birth wishes, and helped to educate us about our options for labour and helped us to set realistic expectations. During the labour, Kate provided a calming presence and ample tools to help us navigate our delivery in a postive way. We were really happy with our decision to have Kate as our Doula, and would recommend her to anyone seeking this type of support.

Postpartum this time around was challenging. I am so glad that I met Kate and and became my postpartum doula. Kate knew how to care for our baby who was colic and had reflux. I felt at peace knowing my baby was taken care of while I rested. I always felt she put baby and I as a priority. I had some health challenging times, she came to the rescue on last minute notice and tried to ensure I was covered even if she wasn’t available. Kate provided me resources to help get through postpartum. Don’t hesitate, book Kate while you can, she gets booked up quickly!! I’ll be forever grateful for Kate and all she has done for our family. If I’d do it all over again I would 110% recommend Kate for birth and postpartum doula.

We worked with Kate as both our birth and postpartum doula, and are so happy that we did so. Kate is very warm and personable, while still very professional. For the birth doula side, we spent a lot of time discussing my preferences and she was great at  explaining anything I wasn’t quite sure of. We went through a lot of different scenarios and it definitely helped me feel prepared going into the birth. When things didn’t quite go as planned, I found Kate to be a calming but strong presence for both me and my husband and we were very grateful for her being there. She also took some great birth photos that we cherish! Postpartum, she was a saint. She was a calming presence in the first weeks and listened to and advised on my concerns and confusion as a new mom, and made me feel so much more relaxed after each visit. I would recommend Kate to anyone looking for a birth or postpartum doula!

Kate provided invaluable postpartum support for our son and family. She was caring, positive and very knowledgeable. Her assistance allowed us to spend quality time with our baby or take a much needed break to rest and recharge. As first time parents with no family in town, Kate provided compassionate emotional support in my postpartum recovery. She was truly amazing, and we highly recommend her services!

We had the pleasure of working with Kate in the process of welcoming our first child. Kate's knowledge and support leading up to the delivery provided me with the confidence to navigate early delivery and provided my partner and I with a framework for discussing our delivery preferences and birth plan. Our birth did not go according to plan but Kate was there throughout the process (starting late one evening) communicating with us and ensuring we had the level of support we needed. Once Kate joined us she was a calm reassuring presence providing helpful suggestions for positions and breathing as well as providing my partner with support so they could rest and be prepared for labor. Kate seamlesly blended with our birthing team and we felt like we had a bond with her that extended much deeper than I would have expected based on how long we had been working with her (just a few months). We would recommend Kate to anyone and were blessed to have her with us on our journey to becoming parents.

Our experience with Kate was exactly what you'd hope for from a doula. She was there for us at all times we needed her throughout the labour and postpartum. Kate had an incredible sense of what we needed from her at what times throughout, demonstrating incredible interpersonal skills as well as letting us know our options at all times. We would highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for a doula, as we can't imagine our experience without her.
