My first baby was a csection. This time I was able to achieve a VBAC with the help of Mary. She has given me so much emotional support and I was able to feel mentally strong enough to push through to my goals. My baby boy came fast so she wasn't able to be there for a lot of my labor but she came as soon as she could and was there when he came! She helped me stay strong through getting stitches and made me feel comforted while I was processing everything that happened during my labor and delivery. I don't think I could have done it without her being there for me throughout my whole pregnancy. She is truly a blessing, and I know she will help many more mommies and families in the future. If I ever have another child I would be getting her as my doula again if she is available.

My first baby was born 14+ years ago with ALL the interventions but a c-section. It was my hope and prayer that this birth would be med-free and more "natural" and it was! We took the Bradley Method classes - which puts the father as the main "coach." Mary was the perfect complement - together they were my dream team through 26 hours of labor with a 9-pound baby girl who was posterior. Helping me move throughout the room to find more comfortable/optimal positions to labor and LOTS of back rubs. Mary had great communication before and after the birth. Lots of check-ins, advice when solicited, and a reliable advocate - helping us through some decisions that kept our wishes but also kept me and our baby safe/healthy. And, per our request, she even took photos! So grateful. I feel like we made a friend for life!

Communication with Mary was exactly what I needed and was looking for in a doula. She visited my home for our initial meeting and had good follow up leading up to the birth and then again postpartum. I was glad to meet Mary in person prior to delivery. One of the main reasons I hired a doula was to know who would be helping me deliver my baby. I wanted to avoid a L&D nurse changing shifts and not knowing who they were or their views on natural birth. There isn't anything I would have changed about the effectiveness or professionalism of my birth team. They were all able to read the room and predict my needs based off of my telltale labor signs.
Mary was able solely focus on my needs as the midwife tended to the newborn baby's needs.

I am so glad I hired a doula, and especially glad it was Mary! With my first baby, I had a very traumatic hospital birth, so when we got pregnant again I knew I wanted to do things differently. We decided on a homebirth and we knew we wanted some extra support! Mary consistently checked in on me during my pregnancy and was there to talk through any anxiety I was having about delivery and she was great during delivery. My husband especially was so happy to have her there. She was a calming presence and really helped make my homebirth a very positive experience! Thank you Mary!

As a first time mom, I had a loose plan for a natural birth, and all of the beauty that would entail. Due to complications, that changed, and I ended up with nearly every intervention, and 30+ hours of labor before the decision was made to have a c section. And Mary was there through it all. Her steadiness helped more than we could ever put into words. There's a lot of my labor that I don't remember (exhaustion, medication, blocked out birth trauma...) but as the weeks go on, my husband and I talk about how Mary really stepped up and helped us navigate all of the changes well. We felt so supported during the birth of our son, even though nothing went according to our original plan.

I am so glad that I chose Mary as my Doula. After my plans for a homebirth fell through and had to go to the hospital for an induction, Mary supported me and advocated for my decisions every step of the way. She made me feel that it was truly OK that not everything went according to plan. She is knowledgeable and kind, and truly passionate about what she does

If you are considering a doula, I highly suggest finding one, especially Mary! When I found out I was pregnant with my second child, my desire was a vbac delivery. I knew that my best shot was to hire a doula and I found Mary through some mutual friends. She and I have a lot in common personally and spiritually and with her I felt like I could be completely myself. I often asked her questions and if she had experience in certain things and she always answered me promptly and with patience. During labor she was there as soon as I let her know when to come. She quickly got me up and moving through different labor positions and I can honestly say that if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have gotten my end result, which was my vbac! She helped through the hardest of moments, keeping me grounded and never made me or my husband feel judged. And a bonus, she snapped photos/videos of my sons birth! Would absolutely use her again, should I have more children!

I can't say enough about how great it was to have Mary there for the birth of my baby girl. I was not expecting to have a long 27 hour labor at all. Everything was tried to get her delivered. Mary has a lot of tips and options and I think we did them all. There was a point I just wanted to give up. I never felt like she gave up on my tho. I really don't think I would have been able to finish myself if I hadn't had her there thru the whole process.

Mary is wonderful! She is absolutely passionate about supporting women in pregnancy, birth, and everything that comes after. I have birthed without a doula and the difference is huge. Having Mary at my birth made me feel safe, loved on, encouraged and supported. She is definitely someone I would recommend to anyone considering the support YES you need it and Mary is wonderful!!!!
