I split my time equally between serving as a physical therapist and birth doula. This means that my doula practice is informed by aspects of physical therapy: providing education, movement and positioning to support desired birth outcomes, and trauma-informed care. As a doula, I am a advocate, assisting you in having your choices honored and respected. I am a good match for birthing people that • Want highly educated support navigating modern birth • Have complex orthopedic issues, such as sciatica or sacroiliac joint pain • Have mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety | I am a non-binary transmasculine person, and I value the opportunity to work with other queer people. I offer sliding scale and flexible payment options.

Post a testimonial for Ken McGee (they/he)

I can’t recommend Ken enough. They were extremely helpful and informative before, during, and after birth! They are incredibly knowledgeable about birth and the human body, and were able to teach coping skills and exercises that helped me feel more prepared. They listened to my fears about birth and helped develop a game plan to minimize them. They took notes during our meetings which let me focus on the conversation and not feel like I had to remember everything.
When I had a complication right after birth, they stayed and talked with me so that my partner could attend to our little one with skin to skin. They advocated for my birth preferences and helped me cope with pain. After birth, they were so helpful with support and advice regard breast/chestfeeding and coping with a new baby. This was so important as a first time parent! I’m so grateful to Ken for being part of our birth story!

Ken was a wonderful support. With a fairly long birthing experience, Ken arrived from day, one of a multiple day event. My beautiful daughter was born on a holiday and a snow storm, but Ken had the courage to be present and demonstrate their skills. Pain management, and current healthcare experience - they really made me feel less alone during my first birth.
They gave me there time, care, and expertise. Also I appreciate the after care and knowledge in PT - this is a niche in doula work that mesh well together. I feel like a fairly difficult birthing experience turned around for me not just because my child is thriving, but because all the help I received from all including Ken.
thank you!
