I had a truly outstanding experience with Julianna as my birth doula. I highly recommend her without reservation! I interviewed several doulas and immediately felt at ease with her. My husband and I appreciated her warmth, professionalism, and individualized educational materials.

Some medical issues came up towards the end of my pregnancy, and Julianna helped me navigate them each step of the way in a supportive, level-headed manner. The yoga and meditation session with her helped so much during those stressful times too! My husband and I felt very prepared going into my labor and delivery after utilizing all of the tools and prep from Julianna.

For the actual labor and delivery, Julianna made herself very available and had solid contingency plans that I felt very comfortable with. She showed up in a timely manner, helped me communicate with my medical team, and put in so much hard work during my labor and delivery. I truly believe Julianna was key to my having a very positive birthing experience. I am forever grateful for her assistance. I will request her again should I get pregnant again.

Julianna was an amazing Doula for us. This was my first pregnancy and as such I was full of questions and fears. Her warm personality and approach was just what I needed to calm my fears and actually be excited for birth.

She was very responsive, sent follow up e-mails, and was always was sending us helpful articles when we had questions on anything from vaccines to introducing our dog to the baby.

At the hospital she was a calm presence, and was able to advocate for me and explain everything that was happening so I always felt comfortable. She also came with calming music, lights, and aromatherapy which contributed greatly to a smooth and calm birth.

I would recommend Juliana to anyone looking for a compassionate and well versed Doula!

Julianna is calming, kind, and supportive. During our first meeting, we talked extensively about her role before, during, and after my delivery, and early on I knew I wanted her on my "team". Her expertise and thoughtfulness reassured me that I was heard and seen during an incredibly vulnerable and fragile time, and I trusted her immediately. She was instrumental in my smooth and successful labor and vaginal delivery at John Muir Hospital. She went above and beyond supporting me, my partner, (and our anxious pooch) while I was laboring at home, and was an amazing advocate once we were in the hospital. My baby is now almost one year old and Julianna still feels like a part of our family. I am so grateful for her strength and softness and would highly recommend any pregnant person add a doula to their "team" and Julianna as the best "doulianna" out there!

Julianna was amazing! She was our postpartum doula for the first six weeks of our daughter's life, and hiring her was truly one of the best investments we made. Some of the things we loved:

She was calm, knowledgeable and encouraging. The postpartum time is overwhelming, and it was so wonderful to have her show us how to girl our daughter a bath, trim her nails, etc. She was willing to pitch in and help wherever we needed her. She was proactive, too, offering suggestions when we were too tired to think about how to best use her time.

She was terrific with communication. At the end of every week, she would send us a summary email of relevant info that we had talked about. We had her show us how to use our baby carriers and other gear, and she did video recordings of herself doing it so we could go back and watch after when she wasn't there. (SO helpful when you are a tired parent with a newborn... hard to remember anything!). She helped us organize the nursery, pack a diaper bag, etc. She also helped me with a postportum meditation/breathing exercises which were amazing in such a stressful time.

Highly, highly recommend hiring Julianna!

It was my first pregnancy and my husband and I had no family near us. So we wanted to have an additional support through the process of labor and delivery, and just to feel that we are not alone in it. I'm very grateful for Julianna. She was very calming presence on this special day and helped to create a peaceful and positive atmosphere. She helped with reducing contractions pain with massaging and during the pushing phase she was there to give any support I needed. She empowered me through this whole process and was kind and supportive all the way through. Thank you for your part in making this a beautiful and inspiring experience.

When my water broke and contraction started in the midnight, I texted Julianna and she responded quickly. Then she asked me to try to rest as much as possible and called the hospital in the morning when it's time. Julianna's massage and guidance about positions helped a lot during my contraction. During my pushing, she helped counting down, watching my breathing, and asking the hospital people to give me a break when she saw that I needed to. With her presence, I was able to be calm (as calm as someone giving birth can be). I really appreciate her help throughout this tough and unique time!

Julianna was an incredible support throughout our birth journey, especially during a challenging stalled induction. Her availability to discuss our options, provide thorough research, and answer our numerous questions was truly invaluable. Julianna's expertise in Spinning Babies techniques was instrumental in repositioning our baby, significantly easing our concerns.

She not only helped us craft a thoughtful birth plan but also empowered us to feel confident in our decisions. Most importantly, Julianna played a crucial role in strengthening the connection between my husband and me during this pivotal time. Her support and guidance were fundamental in making our birthing experience as positive as it was. Our daughter's name is also Julianna, so she'll have a connection to this amazing doula for years to come! We are immensely grateful for Julianna's dedication and would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable doula.
