While I was "shopping" for a birth doula, I did not need much convincing to bring Ashley on! I quickly found her to be approachable, affirming, and kind while also deeply organized and professional. As someone who wants to learn everything I can and ask a lot of questions, Ashley was so informative and resourceful. After giving birth, WOW am I even more glad she joined us! When I arrived at the hospital before sunrise in a great deal of pain from contractions, I felt an immediate wave of relief and comfort to see her standing in the lobby of the hospital ready to welcome us. All throughout labor, delivery, and into postpartum, Ashley was our rock as my baby and I had a complicated experience. I was not sure about photography before giving birth, but now I am so grateful I opted in to her services. The imagery is absolutely perfect! It allowed me to really see myself and my surroundings (I spent most of it with my eyes closed!). It captured the complex emotions I felt every step of the way. It allowed me to see the beautiful care and concern my partner had for me. It has allowed me to process (and continue reflecting on) my experience. It has given me the opportunity to share it with loved ones who were not present. I will always be grateful to Ashley for all that she has done for us, and I would highly recommend her as a birth doula!

Ashley helped us have such a positive labor, delivery, and postpartum experience for our first pregnancy! We felt incredibly supported throughout our journey together and benefited from her in-depth knowledge, extensive network of pre/postpartum providers (acupuncturists, OBs, PTs, lactation consultants, etc.), calm/confident demeanor, and great sense of humor!
We met with Ashley 3 times in-person prior to giving birth and she provided a wealth of information on labor, delivery, and postpartum scenarios. She is an excellent listener/communicator. We were so impressed after meetings with the recap notes and resources she shared. She was also quick to respond to our questions over text/email. This, paired with her extensive experience with Seattle birth centers/hospitals, helped us set our expectations, know what questions to ask/where to push back, and ultimately draft a birth plan we felt confident in. For example, when our OB wanted to induce at 40 weeks, Ashley helped us navigate the situation. She provided resources on induction methods/risks, info on naturally kick-starting labor, and advice on managing our OB. I naturally went into labor at 40w+6d and had the labor and delivery experience I wanted!
During labor and delivery, we felt so supported by Ashley. She coached us and advocated for us, ensuring the entire day went smoothly—from giving advice on where my husband could quickly grab a sandwich to helping us try pushing positions with an epidural. She also captured the day beautifully with her photography! Once our baby was born, Ashley continued to support us. She scheduled a lactation consultant appointment for us immediately postpartum (a complete lifesaver!) and met us 2 more times in-person to check-in. Throughout our time working with Ashley, we were so impressed with her care and dedication. We highly recommend working with Ashley—she’s the best and we’d love her to support us again with baby #2!

Our experience with Ashley as our birth doula was amazing. Right from the start, she made us feel super supported and informed. Her calm and knowledgeable approach was exactly what we needed. During labor, Ashley helped us through every stage, offering comfort and great advice. Her presence was so comforting. The little things like her cheering me on after each contraction and offering me water often really helped me stay motivated and strong. Those hip squeezes were also so helpful! After the birth, Ashley continued to check in and offer support, making sure we were all doing well. The photos she took were incredibly special and we are thankful she captured those beautiful moments. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we're so grateful for everything she did.
If you're looking for birth doula, we highly recommend Ashley. She made our journey so much better. Thanks, Ashley, for being there for us!

Ashley was such an amazing source of support throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My prior pregnancy & birth were really challenging and left me some anxiety & a desire to do things differently this time. Ashley was amazing at talking through these concerns with me and helping me understand my options and advocate for my preferences. She was invested in helping me get the redemptive birth I desired so much. Ashley supports births in many settings but I especially appreciated her background in homebirth (this was my 3rd). She was also so great at helping me include my other children in our prenatal visits as well as the birth which was really important & special to me.
I ended up having an incredibly positive, redemptive, easy, and fast labor. Ashley provided incredible hands on support during labor (she also has a TENS unit which I found really helpful). I felt so safe and at ease with her and really see this as contributing to the ease of my birth. Everything unfolded so quickly that our midwives actually arrived right after my baby was born, but I ironically never felt alone or under-supported in large part because of Ashley.
I am so grateful for the amazing photos and video that Ashley captured of that night. They tell the story of meeting my baby in such a vivid beautiful way that I will cherish forever.

We worked with Ashley Weyers as a doula for our first baby, delivered March 2024. Shortly after meeting with Ashley for the first time, we learned that our son had some medical complications and we ended up delivering at 32 weeks with a 41 day NICU stay. Having Ashley as a doula throughout this process made such a huge difference in how we experienced a complicated birth and delivery. She took the time to explain to us in depth ways to incorporate our original birth goals into modified plans for both a planned c-section and vaginal delivery, and was available any time we needed guidance prior to the delivery. During the birth she was integral in advocating for my needs in a hospital environment and provided tremendous support to both me and my husband. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been without her and can confidently say she helped me avoid unnecessary interventions. Having her support when our baby went to the NICU meant that my husband could stay with the baby while I had the care of someone I was familiar with while recovering from birth.
In addition to being a simply incredible and supportive doula, Ashley's birth photography is truly wonderful. We treasure the photos and they managed to capture how the birth really felt. I was a little hesitant about the photos prior to the birth and worried that it might distract from providing birth support, but it was completely the opposite, I never noticed her taking the photos and love the candid and intimate moments that she captured. I cannot recommend Ashley strong enough for doula care, I credit her care as the reason my birth experience was so positive.

Ashley was a wonderful doula. The meetings during pregnancy were great, it was nice to develop a birth plan and learn how to advocate for myself during labor. The photos were so fun to look at and nice to have. Even with an epidural, I had breakthrough pain and Ashleys support was really helpful. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of having Ashley as our doula for the second time in 2024, and just as we felt in our earlier testimonial in 2022, we are glad we went with her. She made sure we were advocated for, reminding us during the birthing process that we can take our time to make decisions. While outcomes are often uncertain and out of our control, I choose to believe that this time around, my VBAC was possible due in large part to my support network, which Ashley was a significant part of (as well as with the many referrals she passed along). It was a tough pregnancy and she had many resources to help with ailments and pains. I also have long labors, so she was invaluable during those long nights and days when my husband ran empty on sleep. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and empathetic person to join them on the birthing journey!

Ashley was the most amazing doula/photographer for the birth of our daughter! This was our first baby, and we are so thrilled to have had Ashley as a part of our experience and I can’t recommend her services enough!
We hired Ashley after I had complications in my care team and was feeling anxious about a lack of consistency with my doctors. Ashley immediately put us at ease during our first meeting and made me feel supported and validated. We loved her evidence-based approach to pregnancy and birth, and she was an excellent resource for all of our birth-related decisions. Ashley also helped me create a birth plan that made me feel confident and prepared (as much as you can be!) going into labor.
While Ashley’s help during my pregnancy was amazing, she was invaluable to my labor and delivery! Ashley was a confident, calm, reassuring and warm presence during my labor. She worked seamlessly with the nursing staff at UW NW Birth Center and guided me through different labor positions. Ashley had excellent intuition of when to step back and let me husband support me through labor and when to encourage him to have a break so that he would be ready for the big moments. We ended up having unexpected complications during the delivery and my daughter was taken to the warmer to have her airways cleared. It was agonizing to be separated from my baby, but having Ashley communicating what was happening and tending to me while my husband was with our baby helped ease the anxiety. Ashley also stayed with us for hours after the birth and patiently guided me through the first feeding when my daughter was struggling after her chaotic entry in to the world.
Ashley is also a phenomenal photographer, and she captured the most beautiful photos of the entire experience!
We are so grateful to have been able to work with Ashley and we would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone searching for a doula!

Ashley was an amazing resource and support during the birth of our second and third children! I had a complicated and scary health problem with my first baby and was unsure if I should plan for a repeat c section or attempt a vbac. She was recommended to me by a close friend and helped me prepare and educate myself for my next birth. Her presence was so calming and she played a big role in advocating for myself during tricky situations to achieve a vbac. When my husband was injured right before the birth of our third child, I knew I could cope with labor and delivery having her on my team and was able to experience an unmedicated vbac. We can't say enough good things about Ashley as our doula.

We loved working with Ashley for the birth of our second baby! We were back and forth on working with a doula this time around - entirely for financial reasons - and I am so glad we decided to invest in working with Ashley. Having worked with two (phenomenal) doulas now, what I can say about Ashley is she is the perfect balance of calm, cool, collected, wise, and educated. She has excellent information to offer and does so in a respectful way. I decided to birth out of hospital this time and having Ashley be a part of our team made me feel very, very comfortable with that choice. She has also continued to be helpful postpartum with her check ins, community connection opportunities, and sharing of resources. You really can't go wrong in working with her!
What was completely new to us with this birth was to have the added piece of photography. I can't put into words how special it is to have those images! Ashley is a talented photographer on top of being a doula. She really incorporated my wishes for the photos she created. I wish she'd been at my first birth as well.

Bringing a new life into the world is a journey filled with anticipation, joy, and a fair share of anxiety. Having Ashley Weyer as our birth doula was the best decision we made for our family. Ashley's support, expertise, and calming presence were invaluable from start to finish. She provided guidance that made us feel prepared, confident, and supported every step of the way. Her positive energy and professionalism added to our birthing experience, making it more beautiful and less stressful. Thanks to Ashley, the birth of our baby girl was an incredibly positive and memorable experience. We couldn't have asked for a better partner in this journey.

I could not recommend Ashley more highly. She was critical to supporting the birth of our second daughter. What makes Ashley standout is her amazing listening skills, intuitive approach, and organization. Ashley was kind, genuine and proactive in checking in on our family every step of the way. We are so grateful to her!

Gracias Ashley ??

We were so grateful for Ashley's involvement with our preparation for birth and caring for our baby, giving birth, and follow up care after we brought our baby home. She is an amazing support and we would absolutely hire her again if we have another child in the future. Additionally, the photos she took of our birthing process are so beautiful and we are so glad to have them.

We loved having Ashley as our doula! This was our first baby and we had no idea what we were doing. Ashley was very supportive every step of the way. She always made herself available for questions and it was very helpful to talk things through with her. She was very calm and knowledgeable which was very helpful when our birth plan changed unexpectedly. She also captured such beautiful moments that we will cherish for years to come! If you’re thinking of hiring a doula we definitely recommend Ashely!

Ashley was the most incredible support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. She was always available to answer questions, provide all the evidence based research, and just be a wonderful listening ear. Our baby went well past his due date, and Ashley continued to check in, provide comfort, and help with options when it looked like we would risk out of the birth center. Fortunately our baby decided to arrive in the nick of time, and Ashley was the most fantastic birth support for myself and my husband. She came to our house and labored with us, and also was really helpful in knowing when it was time to call our midwife and go to the birth center. She was there to hold my hand, suggest different positions, and give my husband a break when he needed it. It truly felt like the 3 of us were a team, working together to bring my son into the world. The gorgeous pictures of our son's birth is just the cherry on top of all she did for us! We couldn't recommend hiring her enough, and she will be our first call when we are ready for our next baby!

I hired Ashley to be the doula/photographer for the birth of my second child. My first child was born in a hospital and I wanted a different experience this time. While I felt confident in our decision to birth at home- I still felt a little nervous. Choosing someone to be in your home during such a big event felt stressful- but after our consultation I knew Ashley was the right person. She immediately made me feel at ease and excited for the birth. Getting to meet with her at the prenatal visits was so helpful to create trust and comfort. She helped us think about all the aspects of birth and postpartum and figure out what we truly wanted. On the day of my child's birth I felt a sense of relief when Ashley arrived. She made me feel calm and supported through contractions, and helped my husband feel more relaxed as well. She thought of the little things to make my experience better- like making sure to bring my music when we moved into the bathroom, and setting out candles so the bright lights could stay off. Looking back- these "little things" were really some of the big things. After baby arrived she booked us a lactation appointment to assess a tongue tie. It was so nice to have one less thing to worry about doing immediately after birth. We were able to focus on snuggling our new baby instead. Overall Ashley helped make our home birth a truly wonderful experience. The photos we received after were absolutely beautiful and we will treasure them forever. I still have no idea how she managed to capture them without me feeling like I had a camera in my face the whole time. She even surprised us with a short video that has me crying happy tears every time I watch it. I would hire Ashley again in a heartbeat- my husband and I are so thankful to her for supporting us.

Ashley was our doula for the birth of our first baby and I can't say enough good things about her. My birth was pretty traumatic because of a medication error and she kept me, my husband and my mom all calm when things went sideways. Her postpartum check ins helped me process my experience in a healthy way and made it easier for me to look back on my birth without fear. And her photography skills! She captured the moments I didn't even know I needed to see. I can't imagine a better experience despite the bumps and challenges. Ashley took such good care of us and had the best presence/energy during the wildest most unpredictable experience of my life. I hope we get lucky enough to work with her again for baby number 2!

Ashley was our doula for our daughter born in April and she was amazing! She really took the time to get to know us and provided excellent information and support throughout an emotionally challenging pregnancy. I'd had multiple losses prior and Ashley was so reassuring and helpful. She gave me tips and exercises to try to get our baby head down and when we had to pivot to a c-section, she walked me through the entire procedure and what recovery would look like along with giving my husband great advice for helping through recovery. She made it to our expedited c-section and took the most beautiful pictures of our family and our daughter coming into the world. I'd absolutely recommend her to any expecting parents and we'd love to work with her again for a future birth!

We loved having Ashley along with us for the pregnancy/ birth journey of our first born! She is such a calming yet strong presence. She is very easy going and caring while also being knowledgeable and an advocate for her clients. I felt very comfortable having her in my corner and she did a great job making sure my husband and mother were included and confident. Plus she gave us the gift of the most amazing photos of our birth experience. Definitely recommend and will be reaching out for any future pregnancies!

We had our first baby during the pandemic, when only one support person was allowed in the delivery room. With our second, we knew we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to work with a doula. I was experiencing some factors in my pregnancy that put me in a borderline high-risk category, and I was finding it challenging to advocate for myself and parse through all the advice and research. I'm so thankful that we met Ashley. She quickly became a steadfast ally throughout the pregnancy, sharing evidence-based research on my health issues and reminding me of my options every step along the way. Thanks to Ashley's support, I felt empowered and grounded and ready long before I ever set foot in the delivery room.
That steadfast support continued the birth, where Ashley held space for our desires and had all kinds of good suggestions. My second baby came a lot faster than the first and, when the OB was nowhere in sight, Ashley quickly and competently caught him! We are so thankful to Ashley for playing this special role in bringing our son into the world, and for ushering us into new parenthood once again.
If there's even a small part of you considering hiring a doula, I'd encourage you to go for it. It's a wonderful form of self-love you can give to yourself during your pregnancy. And I can't think of a better candidate than Ashley.

When I (birth partner) discovered we were having a baby, I determined my sole purpose was to support my wife 110%. My approach was to methodically ingest as much information as humanly possible about pregnancy and birth. I read books, crawled forums, took a birth class, and questioned friends. What I learned is that there is no way you can fully prepare for birth. There are way too many variables, and not a single "trial" experience that even comes close to replicating the birth process.
In the midst of this research, my wife recommended hiring a doula. My gut reaction was "why would we invite some random person to our birth?" However, I knew if hiring a doula made my wife more comfortable, then I was onboard. Turns out this was probably the best decision we made.
First off, as an engineer I firmly believe in evidence-based research; Ashley has PHD level expertise in perinatal research and teaching. When presented with difficult medical questions, Ashley would decipher exactly what that decision meant, what our options were, and the outcomes of one decision over another.
Labor was when I discovered Ashley wasn't there to just support my wife, she was there to support me. The minute she arrived there was a calming presense and familiarity with the situation that made me feel completely confident we were going to make is through. From instructing me what to do and when, to insuring the birth team followed our plan, and grabbing great shots of a moment I thought I would never forget (hint, your brain will black things out); Ashley was phenomal. I can't imagine our birth experience without her.
Post partum, we hired Ashley to come back countless times, partially because her support and expertise, partially because her presense carried us through what was an excruciatingly hard time for my wife and I. We are strongly considering having a 2nd child just so we have an excuse to spend more time with Ashley. :)

Ashley is a wonderful doula! This was our second birth and our expectations for a doula were high. Ashley was extremely communicative, resourceful and reassuring. One of the things we appreciated most was her responsiveness and attention to detail. She always promptly answered our questions and was very organized which helped us feel well supported and prepared leading up to our birth.
During the birth, Ashley was a great support partner. She helped prepare our room to be a calming and welcoming place to give birth by helping with lights, calming music and aromas. Her counterpressure techniques during labor definitely helped too! We delivered at Puget Sound Birth Center where she knew and had good rapport with many of the staff.
We had a great birth experience, largely due to Ashley, and we recommend working with her to anyone looking for a doula, including second time parents.
2/4/2023
We had a wonderful experience with Ashley as our doula! She is very knowledgeable about pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period, and answered a lot of questions that we had. She is such a warm person and has a calming presence. Throughout the craziness of labor, I was comforted to know that she was there supporting me. I also appreciated that she is very organized and great at following up with resources when we've asked. She also takes beautiful birth photos that captured the first moments of our daughter's life. We would highly recommend her!

We absolutely loved working with Ashley! From the time we met her, my husband and I immediately felt at ease and knew she was the one we wanted supporting us. In the lead up to birth, she provided us with valuable knowledge and resources to support a smooth pregnancy and a delivery in line with our preferences. During labor, Ashley was a calm and highly supportive presence, tending to both myself and my husband to make sure everyone felt supported, while working seamlessly alongside the midwife team. She provided tools that helped make an unmedicated birth tolerable and possible. The pictures she took during the birth are amazing and we will cherish having those to look back on for years to come. We fully intend to work with Ashley again during any future pregnancies, as her support was so valuable and instrumental in helping us feel confident with the whole journey of birth and postpartum recovery.
12/27/2022
We were lucky enough to have Ashley's support our family for the birth of our first child in November 2022. She helped us to establish and follow our plan for an unmedicated hospital birth, and we could not be more grateful for her expertise. From our pre-birth meetings to talk through everything to her arriving to the hospital promptly at 4 am (!!!!) to her active role to coach and support us through about a million different position changes during labor, Ashely was invaluable. Her presence was calming and supportive, her knowledge is extensive, and both my husband and I were so impressed with the way she worked with our care team at the hospital to make our experience a positive one. To round it out, Ashley captured beautifuly candid photos of our experience in a way that was never intrustive or distuptive -- such a gift for us to have and reflect on. We wholehearted recommend working with Ashley if you have the chance -- we loved it, and hope to have the chance to have her support again in the future!
12/27/2022
Ashley was a wonderful guide throughout our pregnancy and childbirth. She was always available for emotional support, especially as some late curveballs were thrown our way. Plus, she always provided us reading materials and rationale which we greatly appreciated. She helped us make informed decisions without ever pushing us one way or the other. She has a calm and reassuring demeanor which served us very well in labor, and she was able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances. Even through the postpartum period she has been wonderful about checking in and making sure we are adjusting well, and referring us to resources when needed. Highly recommend her!
12/26/2022
Ashley is incredibly helpful throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She checks in with me often and provides very useful information to ensure I get supported and informed. With her support and guidance, I made some choices that I feel so grateful for when looking back, such as choosing the hospital, birth classes and prenatal fitness classes. Ashley was an incredible company at my delivery day too, she is attentive and helpful in each step and always keeping us informed about what's going on. She took beautiful photos of the delivery experience which I appreciate a lot for saving the memories of this important day in our life. I highly recommend Ashley as a birth doula and photographer, she's amazing!
12/26/2022
We are so incredibly grateful for Ashley. While we wish we could change our first (very traumatic) birth experience, Ashley helped make our second so much better in every sense. Ashley's assistance through our pregnancy was just as helpful as her presence at our son's birth. We were so much more confident going into this birth because of our prenatal visits. She shared great resources and calmed our nerves whenever we had questions or doubts.
Ashley also helped us to advocate for ourselves when the nurses were not listening during labor. Ashley's kind but direct personality make her an amazing doula and birth support person.
We were not sure if hiring a doula was the right move because we had planned for an epidural and hospital birth from the beginning. We were not educated at all on any types of birth support and thought that doulas were for natural and home births.
Hiring Ashley was the best decision we could have made for our second pregnancy and birth. She is an incredible human and doula and we don't have enough words to express our gratitude for her.
12/15/2022
Ashley is professional and evidence based, while effortlessly managing to be warm and genuine. She’s an excellent communicator. She advocated for us in a way we never would have imagined being able to do given our unforeseen birth experience in the hospital. Afterwards, she offered support to us in a way you might expect from a therapist. We feel a sincere appreciation towards her; one that is quite difficult to put in a review. Simply put, Ashley is amazing and we’re glad she was was the doula involved in such an intimate part of our lives.
11/30/2022
When my spouse and I talk about the birth of our daughter, we both agree we could not imagine going through that experience without Ashley. From our first meeting, Ashley was so knowledgable, offering helpful suggestions, asking thoughtful questions, and was so warm. Her experience of attending births at UWNW hospital was also invaluable since she is familar with everything from the midwives and nurses, to how to order food, to the protocol they have around using the tub for labor, etc. During birth, she was not only hands on (helping support me in different labor positions with counter pressure, making sure I had a TENS unit and comb, etc) but vocal (offering words of encouragement and support, helping my husband know how to support me, and helping us navigate questions with the hopsital staff). I recommend Ashley to all my pregnant peeps! My husband -- who admittedly was somewhat skeptical of the need for a birth doula in the beginning -- is now a total doula convert because of Ashley!
11/10/2022
My husband and I knew Ashley was the doula for us the second we all met! She is the epitome of calm confidence and we knew we needed this in our birth space as nervous first time parents.
My labor really began when I looked up from my my most recent contraction to see Ashley giving my husband a glass of water and convincing him to get some rest so he could help me through transition when I most needed him. Seeing my husband so kindly cared for and already feeling so cared for myself is was finally allowed me to sink into the contractions and quickly progress my labor. Ashley was an essential member of my labor team and I am so thankful for the beautiful ambience she created with candles and essential oils and for her helping me labor in the optimum position for my body (a deep squat that helped this first time mama only have to go through 6 hours of active labor).
I will be forever grateful for Ashely’s presence at my birth and would highly suggest that anyone in need of a top notch doula reach out to her!

We absolutely loved our experience working with Ashley! We interviewed several doulas & when we interviewed Ashley, we immediately knew she was the one! She was so helpful in getting us prepared for the birthing experience. We met 3 times before the birth & it was always a great experience. She offered vital support during an important time in our lives by providing resources, answering questions, ensuring we felt prepared & by generally being nurturing & kind. In between sessions she'd check in on how our prenatal appointments were, answered random questions that came up & dropped off books for us to read. She was so great in helping us pull our birth plan together & provided links to references for review as we created the plan. She asked what kind of birth we were hoping for & recommended classes based on what we described. On the day of the birth - we were texting all morning (mama was in no mood to chat on the phone) until it was time to head to the birthing center. It was so great to have her available as we determined how mama could be comfortable & help us decide when the right time to leave was. When we were at the birthing center she made us feel comfortable & supported. She helped us with the first breastfeed, communicated with birth center staff based on the birth plan we developed, fed mama snacks, helped us load baby into our car seat and car & took some great photos of our new family. Post-birth she checked in with us by phone & came by several times to check on us to offer additional support. She helped mama get a better latch for breastfeeding & gave us some additional tips on newborn care based on what we were experiencing. She was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end. I highly recommend Ashley if you're looking for a doula. We are so thankful for this lovely experience & getting to work with such an amazing doula and human being.

Ashley was incredible from hire through postpartum. We were looking for a new doula after we found out our doula from our first was unavailable for our second birth. Ashley's profile stood out and I'm so glad we reached out. She's professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I was planning for a VBAC, but as my due date approached and early labor was persistent it was draining. Ashley was supportive, gave great advice, and helped me navigate what my goals were, how my mental health was, and what my options were. She was our rock and sounding board. She helped us as our advocate in the OR (and preparing for) after we decided on planning a csection and it was a BEAUTIFUL experience I never knew I could on an operating table. After our daughter was born into postpartum Ashley was checking in and helped find (and CREATE!) resources for me as I dealt with postpartum depression and the community reach I was needing. Hands down hiring Ashley was the smartest thing we did before the pregnancy and I would absolutely recommend her to any birthing person. Thank you Ashley!!

Ashley was a great doula for our family and the arrival of our first child. We appreciated her warmth, humor, and perspectives. She provided great resources that empowered us to make informed decisions about prenatal care and the birthing process. During our time in the hospital, she was the third corner of our triangle with my husband and I. She fit in seamlessly, doing a great job of advocating for my needs and supporting my husband in supporting me. She also took beautiful photos that allow us to reflect on the special day. During the first weeks after the birth of our son, Ashley checked in frequently and offered valuable words of encouragement and support. We feel so lucky to have had her on our team!

It was our first pregnancy and we knew early on we wanted the support of a doula. After our initial call with Ashley we knew she would be a great fit for us. She was responsive, organized, and easy to talk to. She was immensely helpful during pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. She helped us talk through our wishes and come up with a birth plan (and backups) that we felt good about. At 36 weeks we learned our baby was breech and she provided resources for everything from acupuncture to spinning babies and even gave names of providers had the highest success rates with ECV.
Ultimately we ended up with a scheduled c-section and Ashley helped us wrap our heads around the new plan. She coached my partner on ways to support and advocate for us during the procedure (asking for immediate skin to skin, delayed testing, etc.), and she was there in the hospital before and after to support us, which proved absolutely invaluable. We had some confusion with the anesthesiology resident assisting in the delivery that left me quite unsettled. She was so helpful, confirming my concerns were valid and connecting us with the attending anesthesiologist. I was still a bit unnerved because of the mix-up and she advocated for us to allow my partner to stay with me for the entire procedure, including during the spinal which is not standard hospital procedure.
After delivery, I experienced constant nausea for several hours. Ashley stayed with us the entire time providing support with breastfeeding and helping my partner bond with the baby. During our postpartum visits, she was able to continue providing support with lactation, answer all the questions that came up since leaving the hospital, and was just genuinely interested in our well-being and how we were adjusting as a new family.
With every change and challenge we encountered along the way, Ashley was right there to provide support, resources, or sometimes just an ear to listen!

Ashley is kind, organized and was a professional during our entire pre planning process. Prior to the labor, we were able to meet multiple times to discuss and educate ourselves as we were preparing for the birth of our first child. She gave us great resources to review and helped us write a detailed plan to think through what we really wanted: better position for baby, labor support, and a birth plan for the hospital.
We had thorough discussions about what I hoped for, what I didn't want and she helped me get physically and mentally ready for what was yet to come. My labor and delivery was nothing like we had planned for, but with Ashleys support, she was encouraging and an advocate for us when we needed it. While my husband and I were managing the post delivery process with new baby, Ashley followed up often to make sure that we were taken care of and answered any questions that we needed insight to.
In addition to our sessions and emails, Ashley was amazing at providing referrals to other services that we had asked (birth classes, massage services, acupuncture, meal delivery, etc)
Hiring a doula is a worthwhile investment that sets each couple and baby towards a successful start to a new phase in life. I am grateful that we hired Ashley for her doula services.

My partner and I are very private people and did not hire a doula for our first because we thought it might feel too invasive to invite another person into our birth experience. After having a planned C-section for a breech baby, I knew I wanted a doula to walk through a TOLAC. What I didn't know is how much the support would add to our entire birth experience - from logistical support like finding massage therapists that took my insurance and helping me decide when to go to the hospital with pre-labor concerns, to prompting my partner and I to chat through plans during the birth and after that helped to ensure we were on the same page.
The day of the birth, my water broke at home late in the evening and Ashley was immediately responsive (as she always was to any late night calls or texts). She had practical suggestions to help me stay comfortable while laboring at home. When my labor escalated quickly, Ashley met us at the hospital in a moment's notice. I was SOOO happy when I realized it was her helping me into the wheel chair. When we ended up in an emergent c-section situation, I trusted Ashley's judgment immensely. I looked to her when I felt overwhelmed about what was going on and she helped us to make decisions that were aligned with our goals. After our baby arrived, Ashley stayed to help us process and ensured we were all comfortable and able to rest before she left. She continued to go above and beyond to provide emotional and breastfeeding support after we were all home.
I can honestly say that without Ashley's support and encouragement leading up to the birth, I would not have had the courage to try for a VBAC and I am so glad that I did. I'm also so thankful that I had a familiar face and someone I trusted to help my partner and I make decisions and debrief with. Ashley is everything you could want in a birth doula smart and practical with a calming and encouraging presence. We couldn't recommend her more highly.

We wanted to work with a doula because we are first time parents and wanted to try to have as natural a birth experience as possible and knew we would need support to do this. She is great with communication and helped us prepare during the prenatal visits. During labor she was amazing - she has a calm, reassuring presence that was so helpful. She helped me position so I could rest during early labor and continue to progress. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive during the whole labor process.

We absolutely loved working with Ashley for the birth of our second child. She put my mind at ease throughout my pregnancy and had a wealth of knowledge and resources for additional education and tips and tools to prepare myself for birth. I had some trauma to resolve from my previous birth and Ashley was also a huge help and provided me with some tools to find someone to work through that. Unfortunately, on the day I was induced, my husband and I tested positive for COVID so Ashley was unable to join us in the delivery room but was still such a valuable support system from afar and offered ideas and help to keep my labor moving smoothly. Afterwards, having the postpartum checking were so supportive and since she was not able to come to our delivery, she even came and took newborn photos for us that were so beautiful! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an evidence-based, supportive, compassionate and thoughtful doula to enhance their birth experience.

At each step of the way, Ashley provided all the resources and referrals we needed to navigate pregnancy and postpartum needs (e.g. lactation consultant, PEPS group, preparing for labor, nanny resources, PT, and classes). She was also very responsive in communication and setting expectations, which included preparing a backup doula just in case we were to deliver early. Our meetups corroborated what we learned in our referred classes, particularly as it relates to evidence based sources. At the hospital, Ashley was there through 48 hours of labor, actively assisting with position changes, making sure my husband took much needed breaks, photography, and helped provide context when things diverted from our original birth plan. She provided wonderful photos, and was very supportive during aftercare. We were very fortunate to work with her, and would definitely work with her again in the future.

We hired Ashley toward the end of pregnancy because we weren't sure if we were as prepared as we wanted to be. She was very sweet on the phone and came out right away for our first visit. We were very happy with her! She has a very gentle demeanor and was very friendly??During my birth experience, she was calm and joyful. She made sure my partner and I were as comfortable as possible and took amazing pictures! She also had a zoom call set up on her computer so my mom and other children could check in on us and be a part of the experience since they weren't allowed in the birthing center due to covid restrictions. Her follow up care was also perfectly timed and I was very pleased. Her rates are very reasonable and I always felt safe in her care. I would definitely recommend Ashley to others! She's a wonderful doula??

I am so glad we brought Ashley on to our care team. I was a bit hesitant to use a Doula but I'm so glad I did. Ashley enthusiastically supported my decision of a home birth for my first baby. She presented us with unbiased evidence-based answers to our questions and helped us navigate a world of misinformation when it comes to childbirth.
On the day of my birth she was fantastic. It didn't occur to me how my dogs would react to me giving birth and they were wrecks. Ashley kept our puppy busy while supporting my birth. Afterwards when I need an IV she held up the saline bags for hours. She worked beautifully with my midwives and took pictures that I will cherish forever; she played such an important role in bringing my daughter into the world.
My only regret is not hiring her for postpartum support! But even after our birth she was one of the few people who checked in on us and even brought my nipple shields when I needed them. She also supported our decision on how we'd like to feed our daughter which was such a welcome relief to us exhausted new parents.
Ashley is a fantastic listener and provides excellent support, I cannot recommend her enough.

I credit Ashley with keeping me from a c-section!
In our prenatal visit, we talked about my desire to have an uneducated birth if I could, with as little intervention as possible to keep me and my baby safe. Little did I know that a few short weeks later, I would need to be induced just before 36 weeks for severe preeclampsia! Ashley came to my aid by text message almost immediately, helping me advocate for myself and suggesting positions to try while my partner and I waited for active labor to begin. The combination of having my water broken and trying the "flying cowgirl" she recommended got things going and she arrived shortly thereafter. In a moment of feeling very discouraged and uncomfortable with my slow progress, she gently suggested trying a bath rather than an epidural (which was starting to sound pretty good). The bath was a wonder and I came out fully dilated and ready to push! My daughter was born a few hours later. My daughter was born a few hours later. At the end, my contractions had stalled despite being on max pitocin, and I am convinced that if I had had an epidural I would not have been able to push her out on my own.
Ashley is highly knowledgeable and interested in the data behind birthing practices. She's a soft- spoken but forceful advocate for her clients, and a lovely human to boot. My family and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Ashley was incredible. She was our birth doula and postpartum doula, and my husband and I are so grateful for all of the support and care she provided.
The prenatal meetings we had with her were really helpful for making sure we discussed important birth and postpartum topics. We appreciated that she was able to provide evidence-based answers to questions that we had - and if she didn't know an answer, she researched it and sent us resources afterwards. She was warm, friendly, empathetic, and knowledgable. She was also very serious about COVID precautions, which we appreciated!
Her birth support was amazing; this was my first child and my husband and I were both so thankful to have her support and guidance through labor and delivery. My labor was long, and I spent the first 24 hours at home before going to the hospital. Ashley provided text and phone support during early labor and told us she would come to our house as soon as we felt like we needed more support - she made it clear she wanted to be there as soon as we needed her. When things felt too overwhelming, she came and supported us in person; we were both so grateful to have her there at home, and then at the hospital. There was so much unknown and scary to both my husband and I, but knowing Ashley was there to help guide us really reduced our anxiety. She even took some amazing pictures during birth, which I am so grateful for!
We were also so grateful for her postpartum support. We ran into a variety of postpartum challenges, both in recovery and feeding, and her presence, knowledge, and support really helped us get through those times. She made it clear that she truly wanted to be there to support us, which meant to much. She was able to refer us to multiple providers who provided us with really high-quality care. Her presence at home gave us a break every week during those tough early weeks. We are so grateful for all the care the gave to both of us and our new baby!

Ashley was AMAZING!! I could not immagine our birth without her support.
Ashley had really comprehensive prep meetings, especially in COVID times when we couldn't do in person classes her meetings were so helpful to prepare. It was basically a 1x1 coaching session. She is really up to date on data driven approaches and made me feel really confident going into our labor process. Ashley did a fantastic job advocating for my wishes in the hospital and super hands on when we needed to do some spinning babies. When we had a brief scary moment, she was so great to debrief us and talk to us throughout. She also had really comprehensive postpartum meetings which luckily we didn't need as we adjusted well.
I cannot add enough amazing words for how fantastic Ashley was throughout our entire birth process. I'd highly recomend her services and look forward to seeing her career take off!

I can't say enough positive things about Ashley's support before, during, and after the birth of my second daughter. Even before meeting in person, she was so thoughtful and supportive of my history of trauma from my first daughter's birth. She gently offered advice that led me to my own "Aha" moment which changed the course of my birth plan and allowed me to have the birth experience I had been dreaming of.
When I had a moment of fear during early labor, I asked my husband to call Ashley. She came over at 4:00 am with no hesitation and provided hands on support for the next 20 hours. During active labor and pushing, she helped me find positions and techniques for comfort. She spoke up to ensure that my husband caught the baby, which is now one of our best memories. In addition to being fully present, she somehow managed to take beautiful photos. She was so smooth that I never even noticed her taking them!
Ashley also helped us with postpartum services. She was a great listening ear and helped a lot around the house without needing instruction. She even played with my feisty three year old and was so sweet with my newborn.
It is not an exaggeration to say that Ashley is largely responsible for my positive birth experience and the healing that has come with it. Ashley is kind, warm, down to earth, funny, competent, and incredibly knowledgeable about the birth industry. I will be recommending her to every pregnant person in my circle!

Ashley is like an amazing friend you never knew you needed, until you meet her. :) My wife and I were given a list of recommended Doulas from our Midwife/Dr. and upon reading through several profiles, Ashley's profile stood out to us the most. The first time my wife and I met up with Ashley, there was this welcoming and friendly vibe that we could both instantly feel as we sat down at the table. It was like catching up with an old friend from the neighborhood. Ashley is very thorough and detailed in her questions and pays close attention to detail when it comes to our responses and/or feedback. On the day of the birth, my wife's water broke around 11:30pm; We called the hospital immediately and was told to come in just to be sure the water in fact did break. We then called Ashley and due to it being so late at night, we ended up waking her from her sleep; She was kind and understanding about it and assured us that she would be at the hospital by the time we arrived. Sure enough she was there upon our arrival to the hospital. My wife opted for a C-section. Ashley was very supportive of our decision and she even offered to stay through the procedure to assist/lend support in any capacity that we needed her too. As a 35 year old man with no friends or family in the area to help support me or my wife through this deeply profound experience; Ashley was incredibly supportive the entire time. She even took pictures for us in the operating room. :) My wife and I both agree that Ashley was and is the BEST choice for all your Doula needs; especially if you are first time parents to be. We cannot be more grateful or satisfied with Ashley's professionalism, down to earth attitude and genuine support that we experienced during our short but heartfelt time with her. I would like to sum up the experience with the following quote:
"Look no further parents to be, Ashley is the only Doula you'll ever need!" ??
Kindest Regards,
Jordan & Janine Ponder

Ashley was absolutely indispensible as our post-partum doula. From the contact we had with her ahead of the birth, through to the actual support we had for 10 weeks or so post birth, she was super easy to work with and we could not have asked for more.
We were expats in the US for work, and so did not have any local family support, and because of the pandemic we couldn't have anyone come visit either. Because of this I can't imagine how we would have coped without Ashley's support!
She was great with our newborn, we both really valued her support and advice to us as well (breast feeding, mental health and more). She also was quickly able to rustly up some night doula support from her network as soon as we decided we needed some help there too (and the people she introduced were great too).

We loved having Ashley as our doula. She brought a lot of knowledge, compassion, and openness to the experience; we were so grateful to have her as part of our birth team! We particularly appreciated how thoughtful she was in providing us resources and following up on issues that were relevant for our family as we navigated birth and the postpartum period. During the birth of our baby she was so attentative and focused, and her encourangement during difficult moments is something that I will always remember with gratitude.

My husband and I had a great experience with Ashley as our birth doula. Prior to the birth of our son she provided tons of helpful resources, was always available by text/phone/email and recommended a great labor prep class that otherwise we would not have found. Throughout my pregnancy it was reassuring to be able to check in with her following doctors visits with any questions or concerns. She was provided evidence based research and allowed us to make our own decisions.
I went into labor the morning of my scheduled induction and Ashley supported us at our home during early labor and caravanned to the hospital when it was the right time. At the hospital she made sure we had all our questions answered and was a reassuring presence. She provided great support to my husband, stepped in when he needed a break and kept us hydrated/fed. She suggested getting into the tub and created the most relaxing environment for me to labor in. I was so grateful that when it came time to birth our son, she reminded the doctor and nurses that I wanted to be the one to pull him out- something I would not have remembered or spoken up for in the moment. It was the highlight of my birth experience. Following labor she has checked in to make sure we are supported and has been available to answer all of our questions. We cannot recommend Ashley enough to anyone looking for a birth doula!

We had a wonderful experience with Ashley as our postpartum doula. From day one, she seamlessly integrated with our family, always knowing what needed to be done, whether it was watching the kids while mommy napped, setting out more diapers and wipes, washing pump parts, resolving conflicts with the two older siblings, or simply laughing with me when things were not going as planned. Ashley allowed our family to focus inwardly on each other and enjoy our time our new baby and his older brothers. These three months could have been stressful and overwhelming, but her presence in our home helped me feel balanced and more rested than I ever could have been without her help.
After giving birth, I tended to push to "do everything" too quickly but Ashley really helped me focus on my own recovery and rest, stepping in to watch all three kids while I went upstairs for a daily nap or bath or running out to the drug store for Epsom salts and sanitary pads. She always checked in with how I was doing and made me feel taken care of, which was so sweet because I am the one always taking care of everyone else in my family!
Ashley is also amazing with both preschool kids and babies! Our baby boy was at ease with her, more so than with anyone other than his mom and dad. She spent so much time engaging with him and talking to him, which made me really happy because sometimes I am focusing on our older children and feel bad not constantly engaging with our baby.
I couldn’t be happier with our experience with Ashley!

Ashley Weyers did an amazing job of supporting me through the birth of my third daughter. She provided support prior to the birth by completing an assessment via facetime. She got to know me and my personal needs /concerns regarding my birth plan and postpartem care. She was very detailed and interested in my previous birth experiences. Prior to going into labor she checked in via text with me to see how I was feeling and if I was having any signs of going into labor multiple times. I did not go into labor until seven days after my due date via induction at the hospital. Ashley was there waiting for me at the hospital at 8:00 am and asssited me with the checking in process while my husband was able to drop the kids off with other family members. It was very comforting to have her there while waiting for a room ready to provide support through my labor. She assisted with the yoga ball and positioning that helped me get through the contractions. She was also an advocate of my wishes and delivered them to the nurses when I was unable to. She added counter pressure to my lower back which was a relief and kept my ice water glass full. Ashley continued to be a source of support and encouragment throughout the whole day and evening, as my daughter did not arrive until 8:00pm. Ashley was a constant support and took notes and pictures throughout my labor. I knew with her I was in good hands and had an advocate by my side. After the birth, Ashley visited four times in two hour increments and provided emotional support. She asked me how my birth experience was and how the lactation process was going. She provided a lacation consultants contact information as I was experiencing issues. This was very helpful. She also assisted with household chores while entertainining my toddler and five year old so that I could rest. I really appricated all tha Ashley did for me and my family and I would recommend her any expecting mother.

Ashley was an absolutely perfect fit for our family; we loved her & her care for our family. She was extremely professional & knowledgable (strong academic & practical) as well as laid back to flex with our family's evolving needs as Molly grew. We are so happy for Ashley to expand her doula role to births and new families but of course are very sad to lose her patient & fun feedings, playtime & educational sessions. We give Ashley the highest recommendation and would gladly welcome her back anytime she'd like.
