Jill made me feel so empowered, supported, calm, and uplifted during pregnancy and birth. After our first meeting, my husband and I both knew right away her calm demeanor paired with her knowledge and expertise gave us the confidence we needed to trust her in playing such an integral role in our birth journey. During my pregnancy, Jill made us feel so supported, always available for us via text, call, and email. She addressed all of our questions and concerns comprehensively, giving us tools to dive deeper and learn more. Jill helped us prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally for birth as well as the 4th trimester — including helping my husband to be the best support person he could be. During the birth, Jill was extremely intuitive, and her energy was so calming. Knowing that she was so experienced in all things birth gave me peace of mind. Jill was our guide — literally she guided me to the labor and delivery unit, and set up the birthing room and birthing tub to feel like a spa — and figuratively she guided me mentally and emotionally through the entire journey of birth. I felt Jill could understand exactly how I was feeling, and knew just how to support me, advocating for my needs and guiding me with her words. She made the natural water birth of my dreams a reality, sharing her insights with the hospital staff which helped them tune into my very specific needs, which otherwise would have gone unnoticed. Her attunement is the reason I could be so relaxed and at ease. Without her, things would have gone so differently… she helped our little one get off to an amazing start in life, beginning with her first breath, and we are forever grateful. Jill has continued to support us by being a wonderful resource for all of our postpartum questions and concerns, including allowing us time to debrief about how the birth went, and providing us with special pictures she captured during the birth — moments we will forever cherish.

I’m so grateful that I found Jill and my family was able to work with her. She is extremely thorough and well prepared from the start. The prenatal sessions were very helpful and she provided a plethora of information for most situations of labor/delivery. When I needed her guidance she quickly responded through text. My delivery did not go as I’d like but it was comforting to have Jill by my side. My immediate family wasn’t able to attend the birth of my son. It was nice to have Jill by my side, she held my hand during the entire C-section and was so encouraging. It felt as if I had a sister in the room with me. Post partum she quickly connected with me and went through questions I had in detail with videos and documents.

Jill was such a wonderful support throughout my pregnancy and birth! Both my husband and I truly feel like we couldn’t have done it without her. She helped us feel prepared throughout my pregnancy and during labor/birth she was the exact calm, attentive, knowledgeable and supporting presence that we needed as first time parents. Jill was so in tune with me during labor and knew exactly when to gently suggest a position change, when to try something new, and she even knew the moment I was fully dilated! It was so great to have her at the hospital advocating the entire time for the birth that I wanted and ensuring my plan was respected. With her help, I was able to have the natural, unmedicated, beautiful birth I hoped for. If we have any more children then we absolutely will be choosing Jill again as our doula!

We are so grateful for Jill's help and guidance before, during, and after the birthing process. She had great resources and ideas to solve challenges big and small that came up. She brings a wide variety of knowledge and personal experience that helped us begin life as a family of four on the best possible foot. Thank you!

Jill was a fantastic partner to my husband and I as we went through pregnancy and birth of our first child. At every step Jill felt available, responsive and attuned to our needs. Working with Jill I felt empowered, comforted and informed at every step -- she does a great job helping advocate for her clients' needs while also deferring to what you want in the moment. I had a fantastic labor and delivery experience thanks to her - from the big stuff like her advice and recommendations on love languages and how to incorporate that into the birth experience to the little things like the honey sticks and inflatable labor aids she brought. Thank you Jill!

Jill was wonderful to work with. She regularly checked in during pregnancy and answered my questions promptly. She was there for us during labor, being a supportive member of our team at the hospital. My husband and I found the postpartum visit to be profoundly helpful being able to talk through the delivery with Jill as she was able to provide details we were not aware of at the time and a perspective that helped us process the experience. It was very therapeutic for us. She continued to support us and provided great parenting tips and links to help us as we navigated the first weeks of parenting. We highly recommend Jill as a doula!

My doula was attending another birth when I went into labor, Jill was her backup doula who attended my birth. Even though I only met Jill during labor, I was comfortable with her from the start. We chatted while we waited for contractions to increase in frequency (my contractions slowed down considerably after arriving at the hospital). My husband was so thankful for her too because he could take a break when he needed one, and since this is our first baby, he wasn’t experienced in knowing comfort measures (he was still an amazing comfort for me), so throughout labor Jill suggested different positions, talking a walk around the halls, ran me a bath, offered a comb which I used, and was there for us if we had concerns or questions.

I coped with contractions well, breathing and swaying through them. Then it got more intense during transition, and then unbearable when it was pushing time. I lost control of my breathing and screamed like a mad woman wanting out of my body, and kept saying “I can’t do this, this is impossible”. Jill reminded me to use a low pitched voice, and kept grounding me with my breathing. She encouraged me by saying that I CAN do this, and that it IS possible. I pushed for over four hours and Jill was there every step of the way, massaging my cramping muscles during contractions, offering honey sticks (a burst of much needed energy because I had no appetite during my long labor), giving me sips of water between contractions, holding my leg up, and pressing on acupressure points to speed up contractions when they spaced out too much. Jill was with us for probably 16 hours, she was my grounding place during the most intense time in my life, both physically and mentally. My husband and I are so thankful we had Jill as our doula, she made a huge difference for us. I would definitely birth with Jill again.

My husband and I decided to hire a doula early on in my pregnancy, and I was already so confident in choosing Jill after our initial interview. She was always eager to answer any question I had during my pregnancy, which helped me navigate my prenatal appointments with hospital based Midwives. She helped me create a birth plan that made me discover what was really important to me when it came to my labor and delivery, as well as facilitate conversation with my providers on birth preferences. I ended up having a 39 hour birthing time, and less than ideal circumstances with meconium stained water that broke as the first sign of labor. Jill was so incredibly supportive the entire time, and she really guided us with different comfort measures, as well as techniques to help me progress. She was hands on when we needed it, and hands off when we needed space. I had a challenging labor that didn’t at all go how I expected or wanted it too. But I still look back on it as such a beautiful positive journey, and Jill is a huge reason for that.

Jill was extremely helpful when I transferred from a homebirth to a hospital birth at 33 weeks. It was comforting to have her on my birth team after getting a new provider so late in my pregnancy. During early labor at home I had a lot of intense pain in my hips and lower back— Jill texted me and had be do a forward leaning inversion which totally fixed the problem. During labor she let me use her CUB which was a game changer and I think it was one of the reasons my daughter was born so quickly. Honestly it was just amazing to have a familiar face throughout this pregnancy and birth, when I saw her at the hospital I was very much comforted by her presence! I am happy that I have been able to share my journey of motherhood with Jill over the past 2 years.

If you are considering working with a doula, don't wait! Reach out to Jill as soon as you can. We had the most amazing birth experience we could have imagined, largely due to Jill helping us prepare and be in such a positive and calm state leading up to and on the day of our baby's delivery. We learned a lot from her throughout the pregnancy and also through the Express Childbirth class. She is approachable, relatable and has such a great demeanor. We had to switch hospitals while I was in labor due to staffing and then my epidural didn't kick in, but we stayed calm and confident because we had the best support at our side. She was a trustworthy advocate and communicated our wishes to the nurses and midwife at the hospital, and also helped us understand things that were taking place. My husband and I will absolutely work with Jill in the future if/when we have another baby. She is not only supportive for the person birthing, but for everyone involved. We will forever be grateful for the opportunity to work with her and have her be part of our pregnancy and birth experience!

My husband and I highly recommend Jill as a Doula. This was my first pregnancy and Jill gave us both peace of mind. She walked us through the process and the decision making step by step. She is very personable and professional. She gave us the information we needed to make good decisions, and supported us all the way through. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. My husband was nervous about how to help me because this was his first time, and English is his second language. Jill's presence allowed him to be relaxed and confident. With her guidance, he was able to be fully involved in the birthing process as a husband and new dad. Likewise, I was able to be completely focused on giving birth. Jill knew what positions to try. She also brought an inflatable support and other positioning equipment to assist me. When the baby's head was stuck, I knew Jill was guiding me through every natural option to get him out safely. When I was too exhausted to think, Jill was there helping me time my breaths and pushes. She knew what I needed to do. In the end, I had a successful birth. We will definitely use Jill services again in the future if have more children. I highly recommend her.

The primary reason I hired Jill onto my birth team was to have extra support so I could labor at home for as long as possible, but at nearly 42 weeks I ended up checking into the hospital for an induction.
After a traumatic induction with my first, I had reservations about how helpful it would be for me to have a doula in a subsequent induction but HOOOO-LY COW was she worth every penny!
My son's birth came with a number of surprises and she walked us through every one of them with so much compassion and patience. Toward the end of my labor my son's heart rate became unstable and we began discussing alternative birth plans with my midwives. Jill helped me get into positions that kept my son stable and allowed me to avoid an emergency c-section. I wholeheartedly believe she is the main reason I was able to have the beautiful, joyful birth experience of my dreams.

Jill was an incredible support to us throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She is a wealth of knowledge, and her experience was a comfort in the delivery room. She helped us make informed decisions, guided my husband in the ways to best support me during labor, and consistently checked in with us throughout the whole process. Whether this is your first or fourth birth, I highly recommend hiring Jill!

I had such an amazing unmedicated birth experience and I attribute much of that success to having Jill as our doula. Our initial meeting with her we knew instantly that we wanted her as our doula because she was so organized, professional and comforting. I felt very supported all through my pregnancy and I came to Jill with all of my questions. When my labor was ramping up, Jill came to my house for support and guidance on when to head to the hospital. I likely would have gone in much sooner if I hadn’t had her with me. When we got to the hospital, Jill was proactive in making sure we got out of triage and into the birthing tub as fast as possible. Without her being there, the process would not have been as smooth as it was. Throughout my whole labor, her steady guidance kept me calm and confident. On top of that, she took beautiful pictures of our experience. 10/10 would have Jill as my doula again!

Jill is incredible! During labor, I felt like I was running a marathon, and she was right there next to me with everything I didn’t even know I needed and coaching along the way. I would 1 hundred percent recommend her, she clearly knows what she’s doing and she tailored her support to fit how she felt would work best for us. Thank you for making our birth an incredible experience, Jill!

This was my first birth, and although I had done a lot of reading and research, there was still so much that I was eager to learn in preparation for labor and early postpartum. After meeting Jill for the first time, I knew she was going to be a perfect fit for our family. Jill is so kind and warm, which made conversations with her so easy and natural. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared so many resources with us that I was able to print out and review throughout pregnancy. She was so open with us, sharing personal experiences that were relevant and helpful. She never pressured us into making any decisions. She made it very clear that she was our advocate and shared information, but that decisions were up to us and she would support us with whatever we chose. She was so helpful in preparing my birth plan and easing anxiety about my decisions. During the last few months of my pregnancy as things started to become very real, meeting with her left us with so much confidence and eased our anxiety. Having her with us through labor was such a gift. During labor there are so many people in and out of the room, giving directions and input. Jill was a consistent face and presence during labor. She gave incredible direction to my husband who wanted to be helpful but didn't exactly know how, she re-explained information provided by doctors, she suggested different position changes to ease labor pains, and she was essential in the moments after birth to ensure skin to skin and immediate breastfeeding. When the doctors recommended forceps be used for the birth of our baby, she ensured I understood what that meant and that it was the right decision for me. She checked in multiple times postpartum and always made herself available. We are so grateful for Jill's role in our baby's birth and would not change anything about this experience.

I hired Jill Pullen as my birth doula and I could not have made it through an unmedicated labor without her amazing coaching and support.

She is super passionate about her role, was responsive to questions throughout my pregnancy, brings such a positive energy, and really puts a ton of thought into providing resources and planning throughout the process.

When I went into labor, Jill responded l with reassurance and was ready at a moments notice when we decided it was time to head to the hospital. She had asked how I was feeling during early labor and I told her I was nervous about being able to handle the pain - my birth plan was to try to go unmedicated but open to pain meds.

Once we arrived at the hospital and got into the delivery room she was ready to find any way to make me more comfortable and help me focus on laboring. She was calm, confident, and prepared for anything. The medical staff remarked about how they've missed the presence of doulas during COVID and were so supportive of her role and my birth plan.

There's not enough space for me to list all of the awesome things she did. Most importantly there was constant communication, reassurance, and coaching throughout. During my labor I was thinking, "when is it too late to ask for the epidural?" I never spoke up because I was busy doing everything Jill suggested with breathing techniques and positioning. She kept me centered and truly helped me cope. Jill was encouraging me that what I was doing instinctually was working, and to listen to my body. I hired a doula hoping to avoid unnecessary interventions or trauma and I got to have my dream birth experience. I couldn't have done it without Jill and I'm going to remember her and this beautiful experience forever. She even managed to find time to take amazing photos to capture the experience and I am so grateful to have!

Finding Jill as our doula was a huge blessing. This was our first time planning to have a natural birth at home. Jill really helped me to get my mind in the right place to prepare for our home birth by providing many resources and helping me find the best birthing class for me. When my birth started she was there every step of the way through every contraction helping to keep me comfortable and calm. Jill truly helped me achieve the birth I had hoped to have.

Jill’s support and knowledge was great during pregnancy, but she was an especially amazing advocate to have by our side during labor. My labor was much longer than I had expected and had some medical complications. I’m usually so anxious at the idea of pain and hospitals, but I felt really comforted when I saw Jill working endlessly championing and supporting me and my husband (providing massages, following up with the medical staff, making sure we ordered food and water, making sure we both slept when we could, etc). The support before and after labor was invaluable as well.

One of the best decisions we made for the birth of our little one was having Jill as our doula. Jill made us feel at ease, helping us through decisions, preparing us, and being available to respond to all our questions. She has a steady, confident and compassionate presence. Jill is able to read the room well and was an amazing guide through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. We appreciated her value of supporting us as a couple; being there for both the birthing person and the support person. She is a wealth of knowledge and resources. In labor Jill helped make position suggestions, supported us in weighing out pros/cons for decisions, provided some reprieve for the support partner, took photos and so much more. Words are not enough for how meaningful the experience with her has been. Such a vulnerable, life changing time and she honors that so well! We cannot recommend her enough.

I think beyond educating and preparing us for the birthing process, Jill was truly a rock for us throughout our entire journey. She approached questions and worries with deep sincerity and warmth (not to mention, with swift, thorough responses), and that's all a first-time mama could ask for.

When faced with an unplanned c-section, my partner and I were thankful to have Jill help us understand what was happening and work through our fears. We went into the surgery a million times more confident and ready, thanks to Jill.

Without a doubt, we'd recommend Jill to anyone looking to have a well-supported, empowering journey to parenthood.

We didn’t think we wanted a doula at first but chose pretty late in the game to hire one. We didn’t know what to look for, so we interviewed a couple. The minute we met Jill, we knew. She was the perfect match of educator (from both research and personal experience), comedian, coach, and friend. Jill gave us good homework and exercises and helped us make plans for all possible directions our labor could take. Once the day (night) arrived, Jill met us at the Birthing Center and was there all 18 hours of labor (after having just come from another birth). She not only kept our morale strong, she took photos and she offered helpful position changes and options to try when things felt extra hard. She translated all of the medical and stressful information into easy to digest choices and advocated for what she knew we wanted (even when we lost sight of that goal). We feel like Jill was an essential part of our pregnancy/labor/postpartum experience. 6/5 stars. Blue ribbon, gold medal, platinum record. We would choose Jill again and again.

Hiring Jill was one of the absolute best things we did during my pregnancy. As a first time Mom I had A LOT of questions during my pregnancy and during the tough postpartum time. Jill never failed to answer in a timely, kind, and educational manner and I really could depend on her. My Husband and I descrbie her as a warm hug of a person you also don't want to mess with, and in my opinion that's the perect kind of person you want by your side during such a vulnerable time where you also may not be the best advocate for yourself. We highly suggest connecting with Jill and recommend her 100 times over!

It was an absolute joy having Jill as my birth doula. Her presence was so gentle and sweet and yet when she was needed she advocated with confidence, ease and clarity. Many times throughout my birth as I felt myself feeling unsure or lost and I would look at Jill and her eyes and strong spirit would guide me back to myself and the strength I knew I had. I also loved the extra post partum support, having Jill during this time was a great resource as a first time mom. I cannot imagine by birth without Jill. I highly recommend her.

Jill is an amazing doula and I am so grateful to have had her support through the birth of our first child. At every stage, from pre- to postpartum, Jill provided the knowledge and reassurance that we needed as we navigated a lot of firsts.

I wanted to have an unmedicated, midwife hospital delivery but was worried that complications might arise due to my “advanced maternal age” (38). In the weeks leading up to my due date, Jill helped me make a birth plan and led me and my partner through exercises that allayed a lot of my fears and helped us feel more prepared.

When my due date came and went, Jill helped me talk through the different possibilities, as I was hoping to avoid a hospital induction. When I did go into labor spontaneously a few days later, my contractions were immediately so short and close together I thought at first that it was false labor, but Jill heard me on the phone and told me I should call my midwife and head to the hospital, and she met us there. I made it to the hospital just as I started active labor – without Jill’s advice, I would have probably waited at home far too long.

During labor and delivery, Jill was incredibly helpful and reassuring. She recommended different positions, gave my husband ways to support me, helped me make decisions, and provided the calm, steady encouragement that I needed. Thanks to Jill’s assistance, I was able to have the unmedicated labor and delivery that I had hoped for.

I highly recommend Jill and hope to have her by my side for any future pregnancies.

Jill was an incredible doula! She really helped prepare my spouse and I for our daughter's birth. My labor was very long and Jill hung in there with us the whole time, giving me suggestions and support. When our birth plan changed partway through the labor, she helped make the transition as easy as possible, and it put my mind at ease knowing she had our backs through it all. She took some incredible pictures for us right after our baby was born. These are some of the best and most precious photos we have!  I highly recommend Jill!

Jill was an incredible source of encouragement, empowerment, and support as we welcomed our son into the world! From pregnancy to birth to the early weeks of parenthood, we were so grateful to have her by our side.

Jill helped us encourage our baby into a great position for birth, and she also helped me stay calm through the intense experience of labor. I was able to have the empowering, unmedicated labor I wanted, and I truly believe Jill's advice and comfort measures made all the difference!

As first-time parents, we were so grateful to be able to turn to Jill with any questions that came up as our pregnancy and birth unfolded. And she continued to care for us during our first six weeks postpartum, visiting us in our home and texting us with questions and resources. She even took beautiful birth photos that we'll treasure forever!

We're beyond grateful for all the ways Jill guided us into life as a family of three. We can't recommend her enough!

I can't say enough good things about Jill !!! she was always available by phone or text when I had questions and really made the whole birth experience wonderful. I felt save by knowing I had someone constant by my side that I can trust and that would act as a advocate for me!

Jill was such an amazing support for me during my pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post-partum. She made sure I felt cared for, heard, and safe. She helped me create a birth plan that was what I wanted and helped me adapt it as my end of pregnancy changed (Gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, etc). I went into labor quick and she was on the phone with me and my husband and beat us to to the hospital. She helped me advocate for myself when I was at the hospital, held my hand and coached me through my hard contractions. Jill truly loves what she does and it shows in the amazing work she does.

Jill was such a wonderful support to me during the birth of my second babe. I had a homebirth through midwifery care. Jill, from the first appointment through postpartum care, was supportive, thorough, and knowledgeable. She showed up early to help monitor contractions, support me in pain, and coordinate with the midwives. It helped me labor in peace. Then when I stalled she used techniques to get labor going and the baby came within the hour. My birth was not easy but it felt safe because I had the support I needed in Jill.

I highly recommend having a doula at your birth! Our experience with Jill was so fantastic and such an answer to prayer! This was my 4th birth and my 1st having a doula. I wish now that I had a doula for all my previous births. Having Jill there as a support made such a difference. She was so helpful during our pregnancy and labor with small suggestions to cope with the pain, to work through any fears/anxiety, to bigger things like laboring positons and handling all the curveballs this pregnancy had. It was a harder pregnancy but that was definitely my easiest delivery and I know having her there really made a difference. I appreciate her calmness while having a positive, realistic attitude. Our birth plans changed when my water broke and we had to go to the hopsital. She stayed with us the whole time but it really felt like she was family. Our beautiful daughter is finally here and I am so grateful Jill was there to help us bring her into the world safely! I will be recommending her to others and if we have any more little blessings I won't hesitate to contact her again!

As I prepared to give birth to my first child earlier this year, I knew I wanted the support of a doula to guide me through this challenging and transformative experience. I turned to Jill because I was so inspired by her perspective and the depth of her knowledge about the entire birth process. Jill is one of the most compassionate, respectful and kind people you will meet. She was also able to assertively advocate for me during my birth and empower me to continue with my labor goals despite unexpected complications. Her biggest gift to me was her calming and incredibly patient presence during my entire labor and delivery. My labor was complicated by an acute illness which left me feeling very weak, and Jill physically helped me into the most comfortable position during each and every contraction for over twelve hours. Knowing she was there by my side helped me to relax and follow the lead of my body to bring my baby into this world. She carefully observed what was working for me and helped my husband support me in ways that were truly comforting. The birth of my son turned out to be one of the most thrilling and wonderful experiences of my life, and that was due in large part to Jill’s skilled, personal and dedicated support.
