If you don't know what a doula is, you need one. If you've had a doula before, you know you can't live without one.
I was on a zoom call for work and someone mentioned how they had a postpartum doula and they were a lifesaver for them while adjusting to life as a new mom. I had recently found out I was pregnant and never heard the term so I went to Google to read more. I then quickly started searching to see if any existed in Columbus, made a list, and reached out to schedule interviews.
From the moment me and my husband met with Olivia we felt overwhelming comfort and a genuine connection. We went from wanting only postpartum services to instead getting full spectrum services and I am beyond glad we did.
The prenatal services taught us so much about our choices during labor/delivery and not only helped us prepare for birth but also for the days, weeks, and months after.
The labor/delivery services, whew! I fully believe that without the additional support of Olivia, I may not have had the birth that we manifested, prayed, and planned for. But, with her there to support us by helping us advocate, empowering us to ask questions, and giving ideas to naturally progress labor, our sons birth was nothing short of amazing and beautiful.
Then, the services that started my search initially, postpartum services. Having someone trained for this specific time in life who you can be open with, who can give feedback, suggestions, and just listen and validate has been invaluable.
I know this review reads like a novel at this point, but if you can't tell, I can't say enough positive things about Olivia and her services. If we're blessed to have another child in the future, there are only 2 reasons I can think of where we wouldn't book her. 1. She moved out of Columbus. 2. She's already booked.
Thank you for everything ??

Olivia was a spectacular help throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. I am a person with a lot of anxiety, and she responded to all my questions and concerns with such care and calm. She helped guide me to trust myself and my body. She empowered me to ask for what I wanted throughout my pregnancy and birth experiences.

Olivia was our doula for our first child. We were connected late in my pregnancy because we had moved from out of town. I'm not exaggerating when I say I'm not sure I would have survived the birthing process without her! Olivia was incredible at building a trusting relationship. She was knowledgeable, very kind, and an intentional listener. She pushed me to take care of myself as a person and to take care of my body for my child.
We had a traumatic birthing process and it seemed like everything that could go wrong was going wrong. She calmed fears, acknowledged worries, and was a rock in the storm of a traumatic birthing process. She was a strong advocate without being overbearing and I was so grateful to have her there.
During post partum I suffered from being unable to breastfeed, dealing with post partum depression and anxiety, and general overwhelm and exhaustion. She remained in communication and gave relevant resources. More than anything she was a constant presence.
I truly am grateful for her, her advocacy, and her care!
You couldn't do better than Olivia for a doula.
