While working toward my certification my fees may not be as competitive with more experienced birth doulas. I hope you'll consider hiring me as I look forward to the opportunity of bringing partners closer together in one of the most memorable days of their lives. I hope to work with both parents- to- be, to help find their comfort level when providing comfort measures; encouraging and supporting their choices of navigation, on their birth day. Although not certified in ASL, I am expanding the use of my hands, to better communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing community.

My doula was out of town when my water broke early so Heather was my back up so we didn't get to meet until I was in labor! But her easygoing personality and helpfulness was extremely comforting. She was with me through nearly 3 hours of labor and helped me get through contractions when the epidural stopped helping the pain. She kept in contact with my family and made sure I felt comfortable with the decision to have a c section when my doctor told me baby wasn't coming down anymore and made sure she got my placenta for encapsulation after I delivered. She was extremely easy to talk to and I'm so happy she was able to be there for me when I needed her!
Heather Lee was so great with my Delivery and made me feel as comfortable as possible... She is a great person and she works hard to meet your needs.. I couldn't have done it with out her there.. She is definitely a Doula I would recommend...
Heather left our house after our post partum check in and my husband quipped, “Heather was my favorite part of the birth.” I think that about sums up our experience with Heather. As first time parents we didn’t know what to expect. I wanted a doula as support during my hopeful natural birth but also as support for my husband.
From the beginning, Heather was extremely professional. She was punctual and came prepared. As a mother herself she has a very nurturing spirit about her. I appreciated her periodic check ins over the course of my pregnancy. I felt very supported and cared after.
Our birth went completely the opposite of how I prepared and envisioned. Instead of a birth center/possible home birth I ended up at the hospital with an epidural. I had not prepared for that route and was so grateful for Heather’s presence. She asked the questions I wasn’t prepared to ask and was knowledgeable support. I didn’t feel like any procedure was forced on me and that I had full understanding of everything I gave consent to with Heather’s help.
Heather played a huge role in the joyful and peaceful birth for which we had been praying. We are so grateful for her and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire her as our doula. Thank you Heather!!
We loved having Heather Lee for our doula. We can't imagine our birth without her.My husband and I were unsure of what to expect as we were having our first baby. While I was laboring, she had many ideas of different things to do to help me progress and manage pain. My labor was much longer than expected and Heather went above and beyond.
After the birth, Heather checked in on us to see how we were doing. I felt comfortable asking questions or for her advice. Heather was so quick to respond to text messages. It was so comforting postpartum, knowing that I could reach out if I needed anything. Her service was so amazing, we have mentioned it to all our friends. We recommend her to anyone and everyone.
We highly recommend Heather as your birth doula! My husband and I did not have a doula when our first daughter was born, and we knew we wanted one for our son's birth. Little did we know how significant having Heather with us would be! My second birth was much harder and longer, and because of Heather and my husband's team effort during very unexpected back labor, I was able to keep going. She was with me during every stage of labor, including at our home and at the birth center and gave my husband the opportunity to keep me hydrated, fed and helping me mentally and emotionally, while she provided the physical support. During the very intense parts of labor when I wanted to give up and felt defeated, she continued to remind me that I was one contraction closer to meeting my son. She also helped me breath through the pushing so that my husband could be on the other end to catch our son!
Heather not only provided the support for the big event, but also during my pregnancy. She attended a prenatal appointment with me where she got to know my midwife and see the birthing suite. Heather also came to our home twice and practiced with us comfort measures for each stage of labor. She took time to listen to what was important to us as we thought about my birth experience, and how she could come alongside us. She also has continued to check in with me almost daily to see how postpardum recovery is and how our son is doing.
We are so grateful for the support we received from Heather. She respects and values what is important to you through your pregnancy and birth, and will be an amazing support person during a life event you will always have close to your heart.
Heather is so wonderful to work with! She is so organized, professional, and personable. The skills that she taught me helped make the birthing experience much more manageable. Even though she wasn't able to attend my birth in person due to COVID restrictions, I was so glad to have her help leading up to the delivery.
