Where do I start? As soon as I met Jennie, I knew she was a perfect match for our family. I felt like I’d known her for years. She is the perfect balance of knowledgeable, experienced, kind, friendly, professional, down to earth and positive. She made me feel comfortable and more confident right away that my postpartum experience would be more positive than previously. With my family far away and husband having to return to work one week after the labor, having someone dedicated to me and my baby postpartum helped with my recovery process immensely - both physically and with my mental health - which was so important to me. Jennie was great at responding quickly to any questions I had, gave me great suggestions and was a great resource for all things pregnancy, labour, delivery and postpartum. She also encouraged me to seek help from a doctor or midwife when necessary. Jennie ensured we discussed my comfort levels so that we could be on the same page once the baby arrived. She helped me with so much, from light housework, watching my older children when necessary (they absolutely love her!), baby wearing and making nutritious meals. She is a warm, gentle and light presence to have in any home and I would hire Jennie in a heartbeat if we have another baby.

Jennie is absolutely wonderful, and I recommend her for anyone looking for caring, trustworthy doula support.

Jennie provided overnight support to me from around 6 weeks to 12 weeks postpartum. She looked after my baby so that I could get some sleep, which allowed me to really enjoy the newborn period, and to have more energy for my toddler and my partner.

She is such a natural with babies, and I knew my son was getting love and cuddles. She brought him to me when it was time to nurse, and cuddled, changed diapers, and got him to sleep in a safe sleep space in our family room between feeds. She also gave a bottle of pumped milk once my son took a bottle, allowing me to consolidate more sleep.

My postpartum experience was night and day different compared with my first experience 4 years ago. Having more sleep helped me to protect my mental health. I also really enjoyed talking to Jennie while I nursed overnight - it was a really great way to decompress and gain perspective during the challenging but amazing newborn period.

I strongly recommend Jennie as a doula!

We hired Jennie to help us as a postpartum doula in 2019 when my son was born. She swept in and helped me with learning to breastfeed and care for my new baby, and held my son so I could get some sleep. Her kind, unbiased care was exactly what I needed. She even babysat my son when he was a couple months old and I wanted to meet a friend for a visit.

When we got pregnant with our daughter, I had a strong feeling we should hire a birth doula (even though we hadn't had one with our son's birth). My first thought was to hire Jennie because I trusted her inherently. I am so grateful we hired her because as luck would have it, we had an unplanned home birth, and Jennie was the first to arrive just over an hour before the baby arrived. She came right in and helped my husband with making me comfortable in the tub, and then when the midwife arrived and we realized that a home birth was imminent, Jennie took on all the jobs (and more!) that we and the midwife asked of her. When it came time to push, Jennie was able to communicate some of my needs to the midwife (as we had discussed some issues beforehand that became relevant). She also took many priceless photos of my labour and the first moments with my daughter that I will treasure forever. After the birth, Jennie was a huge help with the clean-up. She also spent a few minutes with me helping me to debrief and process the quick birth.

I would recommend Jennie in a heartbeat. She is a lovely, caring woman and she has surely found her calling as a doula.

We interviewed a few doulas and it was an easy choice after meeting with Jennie.

Jennie is professional, personable and lovely to work with. I had piece of mind knowing our baby was in trusted hands during Jennie's visits. As a new mom with minimal experience with babies, I am thankful for all the wisom and practical things I have learned from Jennie.

What I appreciate most about Jennie is one can easily tell she geniunely cares for her clients and this is not just a job for her. We highly recommend Jennie's services, both overnight and day time help for new and experienced parents.

We acquired Jennie for postpartum services for the birth of our second child and it was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! Jennie is such a sweet, caring, loving individual and, we both really felt cared for during her time with us. She was also on call when I went into labour to watch our toddler and arrived quickly when we needed her. Jennie was able to provide support in many areas of our life such as, breastfeeding and newborn care.  She not only provided excellent care to me but, also gave attention to my husband and made sure he was well cared for. Despite being some-what experienced parents, juggling the constant needs of a newborn and toddler with all of our daily household responsibilities was extremely challenging. She developed a special bond with our toddler and made the transition for him not being the baby terrific. Having Jennie provide support a few days a week to help with household chores, meal prep, hold our newborn daughter, really helped maintain our sanity and, allowed us to have one on one quality time with our toddler (which can be difficult to achieve!). Having the first child, everything is so new and stressful and with the second child the workload basically doubles. Jennie is an amazing doula and we are very grateful to have had her help and support. I wish we knew about her for our first born and would definitely recommend them for first-time parents and growing families.

After having our new born twins and having a two and a half year old at home, we knew we would be needing some post partum doula support. We had Jennie in our home to help with caring for our twins. She would just come in and right away do what was needed. This including tending to both babies needs ( feeding, changing, soothing) and helping with any othe duties of laundry etc. This allowed me to rest, shower or spend some one on one time with our daughter which was so important.

Jennie is so mild mannered and was a very relaxing and calming presence in our home. I felt support from her and also that she just had things under control at all times which made it very easy for me to rest and not feel anxious. She was an increduble support for us.

Meeting and having Jennie in our home was so helpful and we would hightly recommend her as a doula.

Jennie took care of our 12- week old twin boys for a little while. She came at a time when we desperetely needed help. The boys were very young but we soon realized we could trust her entirely with our babies. We felt extremely comfortable letting her take care of our boys, her calm demeanor and her experience was not only reassuring, but certainly brought a positive energy that no doubt was soothing to the boys. She was always very friendly, patient, loving and genuinely care about our family's well being. She was the first one to take a picture of the boys where they were both smiling!! it is a beautiful picture that i love so much!

Jennie helped us out with our twin boys from the time they were newborns until they were about 18 months. Her competence was immediately obvious so we were very comfortable leaving our tiny premies in her care. This coupled with her warm, thoughtful, and sincere personality made us love having her in our home. We'd definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a postpartum doula.
