Post a testimonial for Rachel Brannan

Rachel was a phenomenal doula. My OB clinic closed when I was halfway through my pregnancy. When I transitioned care to midwives they encouraged me to find a doula. Being late in the game I was worried I wouldn't be able to but Rachel happened to have openings. I met with her and immediately knew I wanted to hire her. She was passionate and knowledgeable. She communicated well through the entire process. Her prenatal education was thorough and her presence in the birth space was calm. She helped me process the birth afterwards and supported breastfeeding as well. Anyone looking to hire a doula would be lucky to have Rachel!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Rachel through the birth of our daughter. Rachel was easy to communicate with and flexible which we really appreciated. She also is simply very good at what she does. From a husband's point of view, I appreciated how she was able to put my wife at ease and allow her to be fully present for the experience. Plus, she was way better at providing some comfort techniques than I was! She was assertive and confident without being at all overbearing. She was very familiar with Sacred Heart and how things tend to go there which was also helpful. Overall, we would definitely recommend reaching out to Rachel.

We hired Rachel as our Doula for our first baby and it was the best decision! Rachel was very informative and easy to talk to. She guided us through making a birth plan and made it possible for us to make informed decisions.
Her support and availability during early labour was so helpful for both myself and my husband. And once she was with us her calm support was exactly what I needed.
Rachel also helped me so much with breastfeeding support. Her suggestions really made a difference in our feeding journey and she always answered my questions and had advice to give!
I would hire her again and highly recommend Rachel as a birth and postpartum doula.

Rachel is amazing. She is very professional and passionate about birth work. Her experience and participation during labor is what helped me stick to my plan of having an unmedicated birth. I was blessed to have Rachel along side both my pregnancies and I wouldn't have it any other way. My husband also found it very helpful to have someone else there making the process as smooth as possible. Rachel has a calming presence which is much needed during labor. If you are thinking about having a doula, Rachel is your gal.

Rachel came to meet with my husband and I to do a pre-natal/ birthing prep class and was just what we needed. I am about 32 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby and have been feeling all different emotions as my due date is getting closer. Rachel patiently listened to my concerns and helped me feel validated and gave me concrete tips on how to work through my fears. Even though I have given birth before, it has been a few years, and it was extremely helpful to have a refresher course. I also learned a few new things about birth! All the information Rachel shared was applicable, and helpful. I have read birth books and taken a birth class at a hospital before my previous births, but having Rachel here to answer my questions in real time, in a back and forth sort of dialogue was invaluable for me. She helped my husband and I learn some exercises and stretches that I can do to prepare my body for labor. She also went through specific ways he can support me through labor (ways to use a birth ball, labor positions, creating a birth plan, and more). The whole time she expressed her confidence in us and really has an encouraging presence. My husband has since said a couple of times how helpful he felt having Rachel come was! I am so grateful for Rachel and her part in helping me feel calm, prepared, empowered, and excited to give birth!
