We had Liz come and help our family during our first few weeks postpartum. We were very overwhelmed with newborn life, and Liz helped me immensely as my husband transitioned back to work. She helped me work through questions I had, gain confidence, and trust my intuition as a Mom. She supported me when I needed to catch up on sleep, when I was triple-feeding our son, with snack preparation, and keeping a clean space. Liz was kind and great to talk to and spend time with. I definitely recommend reaching out to Liz as a postpartum doula. Even though we did not have Liz as a labour and delivery doula, I can only imagine how fabulous she would be for that as well. She has a very calming, positive, and enjoyable presence! Highly recommend :)

We had a fantastic experience working with Liz. From the very first meeting, her warm presence made us feel at ease, while her attention to support her feedback with research made us feel confident in her guidance.
She provided invaluable support and guidance throughout the pregnancy and preparing for labour. She listened carefully to what we wanted from our birth experience, and asked important questions to get us thinking about aspects we hadn’t considered. She also walked us through many comfort measures for us to get familiar with in advance.
Liz was a rockstar on our daughter’s birthday. Despite all the practice and preparation, dad was overwhelmed in the heat of the moment. Liz helped to provide comfort for mom while helping guide dad’s support. All this was done in a very positive and supportive way. During the labour process, Liz ensured we were well informed and comfortable with every decision and step along the way. Our birth was very long and Liz was committed to being present and seeing it through.
Liz was also very supportive postpartum.
Liz was always available to answer our questions and provided personalized care that truly went above and beyond. Her support made a world of difference, and we are incredibly grateful to have had her by our side. Thank you Liz !!!

I had the privilege of having Liz as my Doula for the births of both our children. Our first was born during Covid and we were robbed of a true experience with her. Having now had our second baby post-Covid, it was such a beautiful experience.
Liz was absolutely integral to the positive birthing experience we had. She was incredibly attuned to my needs during labour and supported me with techniques to match. She also captured some very special moments for us of our birth itself that we can reflect back upon for many years to come.
In both the pre-natal and post-partum periods, Liz was a listening compassionate ear, and provided a lot of great resources and information to guide us through, especially in the early newborn days.
We were so grateful to have had her for our births. She helped me recognize the strength that I had within, and to feel informed and empowered during labour. These were truly unforgettable experiences that will live with us for a lifetime!

We loved working with Liz and cannot recommend her enough! Liz was our doula for our first baby, and we had an incredible experience welcoming our baby boy and working with her.
From our initial conversations and meetings, Liz offered invaluable perspectives and considerations around delivery and postnatal. She made us feel so comfortable and prepared for something so new and unfamiliar to us.
Her presence at the delivery was calming, and helpful to both my husband and I, and it was so great having someone there dedicated to supporting us.
What we found most valuable were her postpartum visits and communications. Liz was just a text away for any baby or new-parent related questions (big and small), we had a lot of them.
In addition to her wealth of knowledge, Liz brings with her an incredibly warm and calming presence, making you feel immediately comfortable with her.
Liz played a critical role in my incredible pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum experience and I cannot recommend her enough.

Liz is absolutely amazing.
My wife and I were very well supported.
As the husband, Liz was great at translating the information that I needed to know while providing me with a full lens of everything else.
She was supportive, caring, patient and certainly coached me on how to be an effective advocate for my wife, our family and soon to be born child.
Liz never pushed an agenda on you. She gives you the facts, debunks myths, and is very aware of the space needed to make decisions.
Personally, I was unclear as to what information I needed, how to play my role in an effective way and make sure my wife knew I was there; Liz supported, coached and mentored me every step of the way.
Her postpartum care was equally amazing. We had a great experience pre-natal and asked if she would stay on for sometime to help with the transition. Having Liz there made the support journey for my wife a much better experience.
As the husband, you want Liz in your corner. Amazing person, amazing doula and very highly recommend.

I enlisted the help of Liz for two of my children and have had the privilege of working with her both as a birth and postpartum doula.
Prior to the birth of my first child, Liz held regular discussions with me and my husband, full of valuable, evidence-based information. She mentally prepared us for the birthing process. Hours after being induced, I ended up having an emergency c-section with my first child, and one of the main reasons that I was mentally at peace with the c-section, was because Liz had prepared me for what to expect. The information she shared was so valuable that I shared it with 3 of my sisters, each who were giving birth within one year of me. Each of them appreciated the information, and told me that the only reason a c-section would seem less scary to them now, is simply because we had a quick conversation about what to expect, should the need for a c-section arise. I could never have anticipated that the knowledge she imparted would positively impact so many others.
We hired Liz as our postpartum doula with two of our children. I don’t trust most people with my newborn, but I would entrust any of my newborns to Liz any day. Her knowledge regarding how to help mothers physically and mentally during the postpartum period was equally as valuable as her expertise specific to newborn care. She understands the importance of safe handling of a newborn, is up-to-date on all best practices, and at the height of COVID, was extremely diligent with following all protocols to help keep my baby safe. I asked her to care for my newborn while I rested, solicited her help and insights pertaining to breastfeeding, and she even stayed with me in the hospital post c-section, when my husband couldn’t be there to support me.
Liz has been such an incredible support to me in my journey as Mom. Anyone would be lucky to have her as part of their team.

Better late than never, but never late is better. This review is about a year overdue, but even now our family is still so grateful for the experience we had with Liz.
As our doula, she empowered my husband and I to feel confident in dealing with medical professionals and knowing what to expect every step of the way.
We always ended our meetings feeling more confident and knowledgeable than before which really settled my fears around labour and delivery.
Liz was so great to talk to whether it was about deep conversations regarding how to navigate being a mixed race family, dealing with complicated family dynamics, or simple topics to take my mind off of labour pains with wordle chats!
She truly shined in the delivery room by supporting me at every moment. I felt like anytime I was uncomfortable or unsure, I knew I could just look at Liz and she always had this facial expression assuring me that I could do it.
She was able to create memories for my husband and I during some of the most difficult moments of labour that we both look back on so fondly now.
She really took the time to get to know my husband and I, and was able to support each of us in the ways that we needed her.
Our last session felt so bittersweet knowing she wasn't going to be coming back in another couple of weeks, but knowing that she was always a text away provided comfort.
Slight benefit to an extremely late review; Liz messaged me for my daughter's first birthday and it was so heartwarming to know she was thinking of us!
If we have another child, there is no doubt who one of our first phone calls will be!

Having a doula really appealed to me, I wanted to have someone by my side that could talk me through the experience and provide additional love and support.
The prep meetings with Liz were incredible, to be guided through things like birthing positions and pain management options was so helpful. Liz also reminded me that I have a voice and am in charge of my birth experience, which can be easy to forget when you’re surrounded by doctors and nurses.
Not only did Liz connect with me but also my husband. So many friends have said their husbands felt “in the way and helpless”. She made sure he was included every step of the way. It was important for my husband to be a part of the experience and Liz helped make that happen for us.
We have the most incredible photos from my son’s birth too because of Liz. We will cherish them forever. It was also nice to have someone who knows the hospital and can help you navigate the snack fridge!
It is such a personal decision to invite someone to share in the birth of your child. If we are lucky enough to have a second baby, I can only hope to have Liz by my side again.
Liz is family.

We had the pleasure of working with Liz as our doula for the birth of our first child. We immediately felt at ease with her as we had many questions and nerves to battle. We appreciated her evidence-based approach in providing us information - it can be overwhelming to sort through online and Liz distilled things for us in a simple manner. We enjoyed the home visits where we openly discussed our goals and feelings. She was extremely easy to speak with and actively listened to us, never judging, and helped bring differing opinions together. In fact, we could spend hours just talking! In the end, we ended up having a C-section, and we had to pivot to a new mindset for surgery, to which Liz helped prepare us for. And although she was not in the delivery with us, she took the time to meet us after recovery. Our post partum visits were especially helpful as any first time parents experience a myriad of changes in lifestyle, and we were able to put many aspects into perspective. We highly recommend Liz to all couples, and know that you will receive compassionate and kind care throughout your journey.

When I got pregnant with my first child I was so excited, but also very anxious about giving birth. I was able to get a midwife, but I still felt like I needed more support. I had heard mixed reviews about getting a doula. Some people said it was the best thing they did and some said we likely wouldn't need one. Since we ideally want more than one child I wanted our first birth experience to be the best possible so we decided to go the Doula route. Liz was the first one we interviewed and we knew right away it would be a great fit and it was! We loved that she had a science/engineering background. Her information, answers and approach to childbirth was exactly what we were looking for. She made everything as black and white as possible and was very knowledgeable and detailed oriented in every aspect. When it came to our birth experience it was everything we hoped for and more. We wanted to labour at home for as long as possible and if Liz had not been there with us, we likely would have gone to the hospital much earlier. SHe gave us great positions that worked and was there to support us in every way. We felt very prepared, calm and excited. Liz worked very well with our midwifes and also took amazing pictures that we are so happy to have. If you are looking for a Doula look no further. You will be in great hands before, during and after your birth! We are excited to work with Liz again if we have more children!
P.S. her oatmeal energy balls are amazing postpartum snacks!

We wanted to send a thank you for all that you’ve done as our Doula over the past year. From the very beginning you’ve been there for me as a resource when I had questions from the first trimester all the way through the fourth ?? You have been such a safe space for me to seek comfort and understanding without judgement. It really seems you were meant to be a doula, and I’m so beyond grateful to have found you and to have had you by our side through this incredibly difficult and beautiful journey. We just wanted you to know how much we love and appreciate you. Until we meet again!

Liz was a god sent! She has a lot of knowledge and the right skills to simplify and communicate them. My partner and I appreciated her from the get go but were immensely grateful for her unconditional support the day of my labor. My experience was long and challenging but I found comfort in Liz's support and wisdom. When I was pushing my baby out, I hit a wall and felt the task to be impossible. Liz gently told me: "Everyone in this room believes you can do this; but you need to be one of them" - That made a big difference for me and my baby joined our world minutes later. I cannot recommend Liz enough. She is thoughtful, knowledgable, compassionate and eveything you need in a Doula.

This was my first pregnancy and as someone who suffers from anxiety I felt I needed extra reassurance and guidance. Liz was just this for both me and my husband. Whenever I was going through something or had a small question or needed an opinion Liz was always there for us. She always made sure to give me all the information so I could make the decision on my own which I really liked. The meetings were so beneficial and she really took the time to genuinely get to know us and what we wanted for our birth.
When it was time for the birth Liz was truly amazing. She was so supportive to both my husband and I while we laboured at home and helped with providing additional comfort measures. In the hospital Liz was right by my side constantly there to tell me I could do it when I had doubts or something as simple as making sure i had a sip of water. She would explain everything that was happening if I wasn't sure and would support the nursing staff where she could to ensure I was the most comfortable. It was amazing having someone so knowledgeable, patient and supportive right by our side. I felt so comfortable having her beside me through everything! I can't even put into words what a help she was!
She even took pictures to capture the moment my son came into the world!
Thank you Liz for being there to support us on the best day of our lives!

Pregnant for the first time, I was super nervous about the labour and delivery – as was my husband (he wasn't even sure he would be able to stay in the room). When I reached out to The Womb for more information about their doula services, Liz was the one who walked me through the process. And I am so, so, so glad. I felt connected to her right away and hired her shortly after. Every session we had with Liz left both of us feeling more empowered about the upcoming experience. She helped us understand our options, create a "plan," and prepare for the birth of our son together, in a way that brought us closer as a couple. Pragmatic, calm and kind, she also responded quickly and thoughtfully whenever I had a question along the way (and I had lot!)
While our birth did not go as planned (induction and then emergency c-section), Liz was there with us in the hospital every step of the way. She worked to keep us both calm and, again, understand our options, figure out what questions to ask and how to advocate for the best experience possible.
If we do decide to have a second child, Liz will be the first person I call.

I felt so strong and empowered during my labour & birth, and I truly believe that Liz played a big role in that. The tips and advice she gave my husband and I were beyond helpful. She was also so amazing at giving us information that was outside the “norm” of hospital births (i.e. different birthing positions I could try, advocating for myself, etc). This truly helped me feel so confident and in tune with my body. The support Liz also gave to my husband was incredible. The birth day is emotionally tolling on our partners too and at one point Liz turned to my husband and asked if he needed a hug. It was so sweet and loving of her to do. In addition to the support Liz provided on the birth day of our daughter - the prenatal and postpartum visits were so great. Liz explains things in an easy and digestible way. Lastly, she brought a fan out when I was in the heat of my contractions and I will forever be grateful for that moment haha.

Calling The Womb and getting a doula service was the best decision ever!
My husband and I don’t have family members here. We were first time parents with lots of questions and doctors were not always easily reachable so we decided to go for doula service. Upon calling The Womb, we got connected to Liz Daher. I remember our first appointment was a virtual one and we were unsure if spending the money will be worth specially when baby is on the way! After debating, we went for the full doula service which includes in person meetings and support during birth. In next few months, we met Liz and spent hours going through things to expect in Pregnancy and birthing process and Liz never rushed those sessions. We went back and forth over topics, asked numerous questions and we felt very confident that having Liz by our side will be an immense help on the big day. Finally that moment came and it was a sudden one. Liz came to the hospital at midnight as I needed her. Even though we were prepared emotionally, she helped me to ease the pain with different pain management techniques. I cannot imagine that night without Liz by my side, along with my husband. We met post delivery and I got the best gift from her, my birth journal. Thanks for capturing those beautiful moments Liz. You are and will always remain a very important part of my birth story. Thanks for everything Liz????

Words can’t describe the level of comfort, happiness and support Liz brought to our family with the birth of our daughter. Within this virtual environment, there are multiple thoughts as parents that cross your mind and as we started looking for a doula, we were looking for someone to help navigate this situation to supplement the presence of our family. From the day we virtually met Liz, she provided a sense of relief through her knowledge and advice. Her approachable and warm demeanour, attentiveness to our needs and the confidence she gave us is more than what we could have asked for. Thank you Liz for helping bring our bundle of joy into this world. We couldn’t have done this without you and appreciate your help so very much!

Liz was absolutely amazing to work with. I would highly, highly recommend her because:
1) She is very knowledgeable, and not afraid to do additional research when faced with new questions. I'm a 'Type A' personality that is always hungry for more information. Liz delivered, and then some! She consistently presented research-based answers to our questions, and helped us understand the pros, cons, and science behind the choices we had to make. She would also take notes after each of our sessions and email them to us so that we had a record of all her great advice!
2) She has very practical advice that was easy to implement during labor and postpartum. Liz made us worksheets to take with us to the hospital with 'cheat sheets' of breathing techniques and comfort measures. She also gave us a suggested to do list of things to do post partum that made a world of difference in that crazy period. Make sure to ask Liz about 'the comb' and keeping a relaxed jaw - game changer tips for us!!
3) She was incredibly supportive during labor and honestly the reason we were able to avoid a cesearean birth. There was a point in my labor where the on-call OB was recommending a trial by foreceps followed by a c-section. As I was getting prepped to go into the OR, Liz was one of the only people in the room who continued to encourage me that following my birth plan for a vaginal delivery was still possible. It was her encouragement and confidence that helped me birth my daughter less than 30 minutes later, without a cesearean birth.
Liz is amazing and you and your partner will be much, much better off for having worked with her!

Having the doula support was the best gift I gave to myself once I become pregnant. I cannot recommend it enough to others. Some specifics about Liz are that she made me feel supported, cared for, powerful and prepared. I really liked how she would send follow up emails about all that we talked about during our meetings so I could refer back to. The postpartum care was essential for me and my whole family benefited from it (not just me and my baby). She is knowledgeable, friendly and was conscious of helping me in the way I wanted to be helped which was so precious to me. The birth story she wrote was another special gift she gave me. It's clear Liz loves what she does and that makes her care even more special.

As soon as we met Liz, we knew that she would be a wonderful fit as part of our birth team. She was very well informed, and confident in how she would support us through our birth process. Being a health care professional myself, I was looking for someone who was very knowledgeable in their field, but more importantly Liz was able to constantly put us at ease with her demeanour and overall supportiveness based on our goals and wishes. This turned out to be particularly true as we met Liz just a few weeks prior to the initial lockdown due to the COVID 19 pandemic. I was looking for someone who would be a strong advocate for me during my labour based on my plan for an unmedicated birth. After we went into lockdown, we had to come to terms with the fact that we unfortunately would not be able to have her present for our birth, but despite this - she continued to support us through virtual meetings as we all navigated these uncharted waters together. Prior to my due date she dropped off a care package containing several of the items we discussed to help support me through my labour. She was also able to provide phone support for myself and my husband as I was labouring at home which was very helpful. My primary goal of hiring a doula was so that I would have someone to advocate for me, and despite Liz not being able to attend my birth in hospital, she was a constant advocate throughout our time together. She also provided us with several wonderful virtual sessions and a distanced visit to ensure we were supported during the unprecedented time of giving birth in a pandemic. She was wonderful and I would highly recommend her.

We loved the experience with Liz! It was our third and final baby but first experience with a doula. Wish we had done it sooner but then we may not have met Liz!
I was trying very hard to have an unmedicated birth this time and she had a lot of tips and ideas to try to help find a way to that goal. She was so wonderful with answering questions, very calming to have around during labour, non judgemental when I did get the epidural against my plan, and supportive through the pregnancy and aftercare. She was great at laughing at my husband's awful jokes, helping him learn ways to try to help support me through labour or when he couldn't she should until I didn't want to be touched anymore, keeping conversation going when needed and making a calm quiet space when noises and lights were too much as well. When the subject of induction came up due to baby being late she also helped keep me calm as o did not want another induction and told me some ideas that may help bring labour along but they weren't needed, the night I asked I went into labour.
It was such a wonderful experience and I do believe it would not have been as calm or supportive without her there. She was such a positive addition to our team, I wish we could do it again!

I interviewed a few doulas prior to meeting Liz for the first time. I knew in our first meeting that Liz was the doula I wanted to support me and my husband. As a first time mom, birth was terrifying for me. I did my research, read lots of books and prepared for my big day but I just felt like it wasn't enough. After meeting Liz, I knew she was the missing piece of the puzzle to my birth. With every meeting she came prepared to answer my questions, provided feedback on my birth preferences and gave me ideas on how I may want to be supported/pain management ideas. I felt comforted with her words of encouragement and plethora of knowledge. She is truly passionate about her work and well worth the investment in hiring her as my doula. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.
4/12/2020
My husband and I hadn't considered a doula until meeting Liz at a workshop; she was very informed and knowledgeable so we thought the extra support would be helpful given we were expecting our first child. Liz exceeded our expectations - she was with us every step of the way in our 3 day long labour, providing both physical and emotional comfort and support. Liz checked in with us after we got home and was a great resource for our questions and even just to chat with her was therapeutic. She put together a lovely and detailed birth story for us as well. I'd highly recommend Liz to anyone looking for a doula!

Liz was my doula for my 4th labour and delivery. Liz arrived on time just as soon as I was admitted in the hospital. I had a medically induced labour due to low amniotic fluid. At the hospital, Liz worked with my husband to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible and kept me hydrated throughout my labour and delivery. I was nervous throughout my labour and delivery because I worried about the unknown pain with a medically induced labour and about my unborn baby. Liz helped calm my nerves by talking to me and by remaining very involved and informed during my labour and delivery. She kept me focused and mentally strong and was very hands on. She knew what position to keep me in to speed up my labour and made sure I got all my needs met throughout my labour and delivery. She never left my sight and did an amazing job of distracting me from the pain and discomfort. Liz is a true professional and very personable. It’s impossible to truly describe how wonderful an experience it was having Liz as my doula to guide me throughout my labour by supporting and empowering me. With her love and support, I was able to deliver my little 6 pound baby girl at 37 weeks in a calm, peaceful setting at the hospital. Liz stayed with us until I was transferred to the postpartum room and ensured I was all settled in before leaving. I truly want to thank Liz for making this a smooth and memorable birth experience that seemed almost magical and one I couldn't imagine doing without her. This is perfect example of how when a group of people who believe in the power of women’s bodies are in the same room new life can enter the world just as it always has.
