Chis helped my family during my early postpartum period and was a tremendous help. She helped with household chores, offered to run errands, and provided a calming presence. On top of that, she brought toys and activities for my older son to engage in while I was feeding my baby. Chris also helped me with breastfeeding techniques as she is a certified lactation consultant. I recommend her services to any family during the postpartum period!

Christine was an exceptional postpartum doula care provider for helping my family recover from an unexpected cesarean. I have five other very young children and a hubby with a highly demanding job so having her help with our household, child watching, and even better, help out on some overdue organization and decluttering I hadn't been able to finish pre-baby, was the ideal service beyond words. She cared for and entertained my other children, kept laundry going, tidied up, and much more, to free me up to focus on getting to know baby, recovering in bed, and light cooking, a pleasure to me (though she was willing to cook too!). It also took a huge burden off my husband's shoulders, having her there to aid our family. Let me recommend if you want an easier, smoother, and far more enjoyable postpartum time, strongly consider employing Christine to help bridge the gap!!!

Chris was super helpful and supportive of my wife after our birth. She unexpectedly helped to organize some items we had left undone, which was definitely helpful.
Having a new baby when you already have several small children can be really difficult and she was a big help!

I contacted Christine just a couple months before I was due and hired her as my Doula. My goal was to have an unmedicated birth and she was helpful in suggesting resources that would prepare me for this experience. She met with my husband and I twice before I went into labor.
There was 47 hours between my water breaking and my son being born. Christine came to my husband and I's home in the early morning hours to help me in the beginning of my labor. When we felt it was time to go to the hospital, Christine followed us there and then spent the night on the couch because I still hadn't given birth. She stayed until our son was born. She was with my husband and I through my labor for roughly 36 hours.
Several weeks after our baby was born, she came and visited at our home to see how we were doing. As a first time mom, I was thankful I hired a Doula to help equipe me for my hospital birthing experience. I wasn't nervous about going into labor because I was educated on my options and was prepared for my labor and birth experience.

We had a great experience with Chris! When deciding to hire her, we were going to be second time parents hoping to have a better hospital birthing experience than we did with our first child. We weren't unfamiliar with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum by any means, but we found having her to support us so helpful. I ended up needing to be induced and it was really helpful to have Chris go through each new step with us. She was so reassuring and helpful in guiding us through the decisions. The best part was having her immediately after the birth to help with the first latch and initial recovery/cleanup, having her help getting to the postpartum room, and her unwavering support throughout. Our birth experience this time was healing from our first birth and we attribute so much of it to Chris's help and expertise!

We decided fairly late in our pregnancy that we wanted to have a doula on our birth team, but even joining us only about a month before our son was born, Chris was hugely influential in our preparation for and experience of labor. In fact, we cannot imagine what labor would have been like without Chris there!
We are particularly grateful for the preparation Chris suggested, including different exercises, books and websites, and chiropractic visits. We truly believe these things played a huge part in Elizabeth's ability to deliver naturally, with no pain medication!
While we were in labor, Chris was a fountain of wisdom, helping us choose positions that allowed more effective contractions, reassuring us that Elizabeth's body was responding naturally, and keeping us both calm. She also helped with wonderful pain management techniques! Her attention to our needs allowed Matt to stay focused on Elizabeth. Our faith is very important to us, and so Chris prayed with us and for us.
After our son was born, Chris helped with breastfeeding for the first time, and made sure we were settled in our postpartum room before heading home. Even the nurses appreciated all she did for us!

I had my first baby in February and Chris was my birth doula. When considering a doula, I was impressed and comforted by the breadth and depth of Chris's medical knowledge and the amount of continuing education and other certifications and trainings she has done, including lactation and infant massage. In addition to this, her own personal life experience and deliveres along with many years of working as a doula. All of these things made her the doula for me.
Chris provided the support and comfort my husband and I needed both being first time parents. This is addition that labor went well but then stalled, and I had a long and difficult labor with my baby OP. Chris helped me to pause and give thought to my deicsions and choices surronding interventions in the hospital and gave the ecouragement I needed to get my baby girl safely into the world.
We are grateful for her and her expertise and highly recommned if you are considering a doula, which you should, especially if you are hoping for a natural hospital birth.

Having Christine as our birth Doula was such an amazing experience. From the first phone call I had with her I knew I wanted her to be our Doula. Every meeting we had with her she was very thorough and taught us a lot. Telling us about different birth classes we could do, books we could read and different things to make pregnancy easier. She truly cares so much about her clients and wanting them to have a healthy birth. In the delivery room, she was so helpful, Making sure I was comfortable and making sure my husband had everything he needed to be there for me. She was willing to rub my back, get us water and be there for us, mentally throughout the whole journey. Even at Home meetings, she was always making sure we were happy and healthy. So grateful to have her throughout this journey of having her first baby.

Chris was a great help after our little one was born. Having her come over for a few hours a week to help with tackling meal prep, laundry and other tasks to keep us going while we focused on learning how to parent a newborn was great. She has a calming demenor and is prepared to offer suggestions if solicited. We were thankful to have her around and highly recommend her services for anyone needing a little extra postpartum support.

Chris was my doula for my most recent home birth. She was wonderful to work with! Very helpful during labor with putting pressure on my back when needed and also helpful to the midwives during and after birth. Chris also provided very good after birth support for breastfeeding. I would recommend Chris for a birth doula.

Hiring Christine as our postpartum doula, was one of the best decisions we made with the arrival of our second baby. While she was there to support mom, everyone in the family benefitted from her being there. She handled everything I needed for me to focus on my recovery and my newborn. She kept healthy meals ready, tidied areas, clean laundry, baby essentials handy, activities for my toddler (which he loved), and even grocery lists for us. She is extremely knowledgeable on postpartum recovery, and everything related to baby and lactation. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone considering a doula. You won't regret it!

Our family had the most wonderful experience with Chris as our birth doula! I truly cannot imagine our birth experience any other way. She went above and beyond in her care for us! Chris provided a multitude of resources for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Her knowledge of women and birth gave us confidence, comfort, and security for our journey. Chris prioritized all elements of our birth plan and offered her wealth of knowledge and wisdom in an extremely gentle and respectful manner. She encouraged and supported me throughout the entirety of my unmedicated, natural hospital birth. I felt joyful and safe! Both of these things were very important to me. I'm forever grateful!
We felt she cared for us like we were family! We greatly enjoyed and anticipated our appointments prior to the birth and after; they were educational and thorough. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Chris also assessed and recommended items on our registry, attended our shower, communicated resources for birth, and answered any questions or concerns we had about pregnancy or birth.
My husband and I would recommend Chris to anyone looking for a birth doula. She provides the most exceptional care with a deep and sincere commitment to excellence in all she does for mothers, fathers, and families. Above all, Chris is a faithful woman with a servant heart using all the gifts and talents the Lord has given her to care for others.
I knew we were in the best of hands having Chris by our side for the birth of our son! Thank you, Chris!

We have had a wonderful experience with Chris for our 4th birth, which we wanted to be as natural as possible. We moved in USA when I was 6 months pregnant, and it has been a blessing to meet her just after our arrival: she gave us so many good tips and contacts, for deciding where giving birth, choosing midwives, chiropractor, helping us to write birth preferences, replying to any single question with knowledge and professionalism. The birth went really well, Chris was like an angel on our sides, guessing our needs and proposing help always when it was appropriate; never too much, never too less. It was such a beautiful birth, I got all the support I needed to give birth naturally in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, without being disturbed by hospital routines. A couple of days after birth, Chris came at home and gave very good advices for breastfeeding, and told me to see an IBCLC if the situation didn't improve. Later on, after recovering, she told me to ask the midwife to check my abdomen for diastasis recti in order to be reffered to a physical therapist. If she hadn't, no one else would have done it; I had that diastasis recti for a long time but I didn't know that it was best to work on it, and no one here, in France or in Sweden had noticed it before! She came as well as post partum doula, which has been so great, she made delicious meals, was so efficient with laundry and amazing with the three bigger kids, coming with games, speaking with them, they loved it and it was a relief for me in those moments that can be so crazy in a family life...She learned me infant massage as well, a great discovery. Always as professional. I am amazed how much Chris knows about pregnancy, giving birth, babies, breastfeeding, toddler... And how kind, warm and supportive she has been for me and the bigger kids. I highly recommend hiring her for preparing a birth, having support during birth and after birth.

Chris was a really big help to our family following my daughter’s birth. She was super helpful in making sure my wife was nourished and recovering well from birth when I had to go back to work. She also brought some nice fun, educational games to play with my 9 year old son that made him feel special when we were giving so much attention to his little sister. Chris did a great job organizing our nursery and will definitely be hired again if we have other babies.
10/22/2023
Hiring Christine as our postpartum doula was the best decision we made surrounding our daughter’s birth. She is a wealth of knowledge, both professionally, but more importantly from a mom standpoint since she raised seven children of her own. Because of this combination of knowledge, she was able to give me the evidence-based answers, but also the “mom” answers so I could make my own decisions.
I had the goal to breastfeed but was having some trouble with latching and positioning, especially while feeding my daughter during the night. Chris helped me trouble shoot ways to achieve a better latch and taught me Laid Back and Side Lying holds. My 6 lb. 6 oz. daughter was weighing over birthweight by Day 8 following birth, so I knew Chris’ techniques were insuring she was feeding properly and getting nourished.
Chris also helped me organize my nursery. I had two showers and received some unnecessary items. She helped me downsize and keep practical items, but also know what to return, donate, etc. She made up a diapering/nursing caddy for our living room with things we needed throughout the day so I didn’t have to keep walking up and down the stairs. She also helped me and my husband organize a diaper bag each for our cars that was complete with a lot of items I would never have thought of like snacks, emergency $10, clothes, cream, etc.
Chris gave me a thorough lesson in babywearing the sling, Baby K’tan, and Ergobaby I own which can be super confusing if you’ve never done it before. I can’t wait for my baby to be bigger so I can wear them in public instead of getting my stroller out at every store!
She has a mothering presence and was great at reminding me to take vitamins, naps, and eat. She brought me water and made meals for me and my family so we could have more one on one time.
I would recommend Chris to any of my pregnant friends and hope to use her again in the future.

When we hired Chris Scarlett to work with us as a postpartum doula, we had no idea just how grateful we would be for her help. She was an incredible blessing to our family, especially on days when we’d been up all night with our daughter, trying to figure out breastfeeding and how to care for our little girl. Chris helped us prepare meals, do laundry, do general cleanup, and helped troubleshoot issues with our daughter. She is incredibly qualified (as a postpartum and birth doula, certified lactation consultant, and infant massage instructor) and has very reasonable rates for the work she provides. She offered excellent advice and support for baby care, breastfeeding tips, postpartum recovery, and so much more. She also taught us a colic massage that got our poor colicky daughter through the first month of her life. We then decided to learn infant massage from her and that was another win for our family. Our daughter loves her infant massage that we give her almost daily, and will literally squeal in delight now as a 4 month old when she realizes it is time for her massage. Chris is an excellent communicator, and checked in with us ahead of shifts to see if we’d need any special food items prepped, items picked up at the grocery store, or other errands run ahead of time. She was also VERY efficient and would often exceed our expectations for the amount of work she could help us accomplish in her shifts working with us. We highly recommend Chris Scarlett as a postpartum doula and believe that like us, you’ll be so grateful and blessed for having worked with her.

Our experience with Mrs. Scarlett was incredible. We worked with her during the postpartum period. She was key in helping us return to our baseline and adjust to life with three little children. She helped mom and dad with the baby, played with the toddlers, helped with chores around the house, meal prepped, and even helped us with organizing, achieving a tidier and more peaceful home. Mrs. Scarlett is a wealth of knowledge in all areas, parenting, breastfeeding, childcare, housework, home organizing, to name a few. Her work ethic is also phenomenal. Our two older children loved her and still ask us when is she coming back. Her presence is kind, joyful, and peaceful. It was a pleasure working with Mrs. Scarlett and learning from her. We will miss her greatly. We highly recommend Mrs. Scarlett. If you are hesitant about hiring a postpartum doula, go for it! She changed our lives for the better!

Chris was such a blessing to me and my husband for the birth of our third child. With a history of 2 c sections, my desire to have a VBAC proved to be a daunting task. Chris was very informative and was an amazing advocate during the pregnancy and birth. She was with us every step of the way from attending prenatal appointments to postpartum home visits. She provided me with the mental strength I needed during a crucial time. She was very supportive and helpful to my husband as well by giving him ideas and options he could do to support me during labor. Thanka to her by our side I was able to have the VBAC I wanted. I recommend her to any mama looking for another teammate in the birthing process!

This was our second time with Chris Scarlett as a postpartum doula and it was amazing once again. My baby was a few months older but I was adjusting to a mostly recovered foot fracture and her assistance was such a gift as I tried to regain my footing--- literally and figuratively! My husband travels often for work and he was glad when she was scheduled on his out of town days because he knew our kids and I would have her help with whatever came up, or sometimes even extra goals I wanted to tackle (organizing kids' clothes in the basement!). Chris is a gentle yet strong woman. She is calm but purposeful. I would often have a list of things I hoped to accomplish together and she rose to the occasion-- all while also bringing unique and imaginative activities for my children. She helped me prepare meals, clean out and organize, do laundry, and ran a few small errands for me. I appreciated the conversations I had with her. She has a lot of knowledge from her education and certifications as well as a lot of wisdom from her own experiences. Her kindness to my children went above and beyond. She truly cared about them and included them in special ways (letting them take turns being her special kitchen helper). I am a very frugal person but it was absolutely worth the cost to have her for our family during this time. The practical help, the pleasant company, and the creative ideas for my children brought so much peace, confidence, and joy to our family. -Laura
I appreciate Chris Scarlett's professionalism, high standards, yet compassionate care for my wife and children. I highly recommend her to any family in need of Christ-centered assistance. -Peter

Christine was a great asset for our family. The ability to have her come into our home after the birth of our third child was great. Always willing to help around the house with things that my wife needed help with after I returned to work. She was awesome with our older kids. She always left a positive impact on our kids and brought activities with her that they loved. Definitely would recommend Christine to anyone expecting a baby and looking for some help postpartum.

Chris did an amazing job helping my family and myself during the postpartum period. We had a short stint in the NICU with our son, and once he came home it was a drastic lifestyle change for my husband and myself. Chris came over a couple times a week for my first few weeks postpartum and assisted me with laundry, dishes, running errands, and meal prep. She also gave me advice on taking care of myself during the overwhelming transition into motherhood. In addition to her doula work, Chris is a certified lactation consultant and is also certified in infant massage. She taught me the massage strokes to use on my son. Her help and support during the newborn stage was much appreciated, and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a kind, supportive, and knowledgeable doula!

As first time parents, we tried to prepare as much as we could for the arrival of our daughter, but parenting books and hospital classes can only teach you so much. We learned quickly that there truly is no match for hands on parenting instruction and we feel lucky to have had Chris Scarlett to guide us as we navigated some of our "firsts" such as our baby's first bath (which we were a little nervous to do on our own!). We could see her expertise in the way Chris interacts with our daughter and her gentle guidance and depth of knowledge truly helped us feel more confident as we settled in to our new roles as mom and dad.
We should also mentioned that Chris is certified in infant massage and helped us incorporate it in to our arsenal of parenting tools. It was nice to have a "live demo" of the different motions to help us remember them. Our little one really enjoys it!
We highly recommend Chris Scarlett for first time and seasoned parents alike!

Chris Scarlett was my postpartum doula following the birth of our second child in Fall 2019. I cannot say enough how much I appreciated (and needed) her visits. Transitioning from one to two children was challenging for our family and she was just the motherly figure and sounding board I needed to help us through the first few months. She was able to give me time-tested motherly yet professional advice and also provide me with the time I needed to rest while she cared for my three year old. It is evident the knowledge and extensive background Chris has in caring for postpartum moms, newborns, and children of all ages. She is extremely knowledgeable about breastfeeding as well. My three year old treasured their time together. Each week she would ask me "When is Chris Scarlett coming back?" and she still will occasionally ask for her. She always brought the most interesting and educational toys. My daughter still talks about them! She even walked with our daughter to the park in our neighborhood. I can't explain how much our toddler appreciated that since we had not been getting out and about as much since our son was born. It is without any hesitation at all that I would recommend Chris Scarlett as a doula. Post partum can be a difficult and emotional time for a lot of moms and it takes a personality like hers to help moms wherever they need it as they welcome their baby into their family.
6/12/2020
We had such a wonderful experience with Christine! She was so kind, thoughtful, and gentle-- it was comforting and relaxing just to have her around. Yet she was still assertive and efficient about helping with small chores around the house, offering snacks and water, and being there for company and conversation. She was so supportive in all the craziness of those first few weeks postpartum. My other children also enjoyed the fun learning toys she brought along! We highly recommend her as a postpartum doula!

Chris came to our house for several days as I was recovering from my first birth and was a great help. For example, because I had some tearing as well as painful hemorrhoids after a grueling natural birth it was vital that I had several herbal sitz baths each day to aid healing. She was able to boil the herbs, prepare the bath, and take care of the baby while I soaked for a quiet 10 minutes. Chris would gently remind me to take care of myself. Sometimes you need someone giving you permission to recover, at least I did.
My core muscles were exhausted after birth so she was able to do things I couldn't manage like leaning into the washer to move heavy wet laundry and leaning into the car to put the baby into her carseat. I was so high on oxytocin hormones that I probably wouldn't have taken time to eat more than once a day so having her to prepare several small healthy meals to maintain my blood sugar was a great help, especially as my milk started to come in. Her experience with breastfeeding education were useful since I had no idea how to breastfeed. She offered help with things I didn’t even know I needed help with like pre-stuffing the cloth diapers, taking care of the umbilical cord, dealing with anxiety about giving the baby her first bath, and managing the sudden doubling of laundry. Offering to help with these things, things I never would have known to put on an “ask” list, is just one of the many things that her experience will bring you.
I will certainly hire her again for my next child expected this summer, especially because I know she will be able to care for my 3-year-old while I’m recovering and bonding. Whether a first-time parent or someone who’s already given birth, an extra set of hands is always welcome. Chris is not only helpful she also brings a wealth of practical experience and knowledge which make her indispensable at this most exciting and vulnerable season of life.

Chris Scarlett was my postpartum doula after baby #5. I was incredibly impressed by her thoughtfulness, capability, and communication. Before we committed, she communicated with my husband and I very clearly about her personal and professional background and credentials (she did not inflate, but she is extremely qualified for the postpartum doula role and caring for other children in the home) as well as what her role would be. She connected with me before each scheduled day to see if I needed any errands run and what she might be able to bring to my house that day for myself or the older children. She always came prepared to my house and was very sure to ask my permission prior to doing anything off-the-cuff, like laundry, feeding the children, if she was allowed to bring food for herself, etc. She is probably the most capable and pleasent, non-family caregiver my children have ever had. (My children keep asking when she will return!) We had excellent conversations about breastfeeding and newborn sleep; I found her a wealth of wisdom. I felt very safe, secure, and at peace when Chris was at my home — she felt like another member of the family. I am so grateful for her care during my postpartum period and I have recomended her to many of my pregnant friends already! I truly cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Chris Scarlett!
