Amethyst supported us as birth a birth doula and post-partum.
During the birth, she was calm, encouraging, and a great part of our team. I met her in person for the first time on the day of the delivery and she had an instant rapor with my husband and I.
I am particularly thankful for Amethyst's support post-partum. I could rest knowing that my tiny baby was in caring, competent hands. The extra rest was key for my mental health, milk supply, and allowed me more capacity to enjoy my newborn and toddler. Amethyst is also very adaptable and sharp -- she helped us navigate a health scare with our newborn. She supported us through an unexpected early morning visit to the ER, very scary for any parent. I also appreciated being able to discuss my son's development, sleep patterns, feeding etc. with her. Drawing on her experience was very helpful.
We also felt that Amethyst was very professional and easy to communicate with. Bringing someone into your home can feel very vulnerable and we appreciated her trustworthiness.
In addition to being an experienced caregiver and respectful professional, Amethyst is an interesting and wise human. We enjoyed her presence in our home and wholeheartedly recommend her to other families.

Amethyst came recommended from close friends and exceeded all our expectations. She was a tremendous help in the early days with our daughter in direct care overnight, as well as coaching and advice for us as new parents (and a companion for our dog). A doula really is a part of the family and we can't recommend Amethyst enough.

Amethyst was so wonderful, and we're so thankful to have had her as our birth doula and night doula afterward. She was very knowledgeable and kind as she helped us navigate with our first child. The sleep deprivation is a real thing, and so having Amethyst's help was absolutely invaluable.
For any prospective parents, we would VERY highly recommend 1) hiring a birth doula, 2) hiring a night doula, and 3) hiring Amethyst, specifically, as she was AWESOME.

Amethyst was a wonderful doula for our family. As first time parents with a 35-week preemie, it was so comforting knowing that our baby was in such capable hands. We always breathed a sigh of relief when Amethyst came over. Amethyst was so kind, patient, understanding, and flexible. Our baby had more complex needs (born at 4lbs, GI issues, feeding challenges due to a tongue tie), and we always felt completely comfortable having Amethyst care for her. In addition to taking wonderful care of our little one, Amethyst was super helpful with food prep and other kitchen tasks. We would highly recommend any family looking for a night doula work with Amethyst.

I and my husband were thrilled but also pretty nervous for the birth of our first child. The prospect of navigating pregnancy and childbirth would have been pretty daunting anytime, but it was especially during COVID. We interviewed several doulas, and my partner and I knew within 10 mins of talking to Amie that she was ‘our’ doula. She exuded this calm, confident presence that was infectious. She was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and also so warm, patient, supportive, and super chill. Every time we met before the due date, I left feeling like ‘I’ve got this!’
I faced some unexpected complications at the end of my pregnancy, and Amie was always a text or phone call away to be a level headed sounding board while we considered our alternatives. Ultimately when we decided that I should be induced, Amie was there at the hospital in what seemed like an instant. She knew exactly what to suggest to help get me through, whether it was a different position, or a different way to breath.
This wasn’t obvious to me until we got pregnant, a doula is there just as much for the birth partner as they are there for the person in labor. Going into labor, my husband was more nervous than I was, and pretty freaked out about witnessing / helping me through something so intense. She knew exactly how to coach him through the labor.
Bottom line – Amie is amazing! She was exactly who we needed to help with our daughter’s birth, and I bet she’s who you need too.

Amethyst was the perfect person to help our family, and I bet she's also the perfect person to help yours!
Amethyst provided post partum support to our family after the arrival of our twins. She would arrive and have babies asleep in 5 minutes that we had been trying to soothe for hours. I swear they breathed a sigh of relief when they saw her. Amethyst was easy to talk to during middle of the night breastfeedings and I looked forward to the nights she was here. Anytime I mentioned being concerned about anything she would give me information about what was normal and help me talk through my worries. Several times she would email me the next day with additional information or resources. Having Amethyst here prevented me from taking the 2am anxiety fueled google spirals that were common while nursing my first baby. Amethyst is also incredible at folding laundry (believe me!) with a special knack for fitted sheets! Our three year old was usually asleep while she was here, but she occasionally provided gentle and reassuring support to him through his door if he woke with a nightmare until my husband could get to him.
Our whole family misses Amethyst now that she's moved on to her next family, maybe our cat most of all! There really aren't words to describe how wonderful it was to have her work with us. I will always be grateful we hired her.

If you are expecting a baby... look no further than Amie! What a special person... picking her to be our doula for our first baby was an incredible decision.. we feel so blessed that she is part of our birth story.
We met initially on Zoom in June, and our gut said she was the one for our family! We moved forward securing her services, and she made the signing of her contract/paying her deposit seamless.
For the next months of my pregnancy, we exchanged numerous emails.. I kept her up to date with our appointments... or just wrote her pages of random pregnancy thoughts/musings... all to which were promptly responded to in such empathetic and personalized fashion. I have kept every single email from her - they were so supportive... just what this first time mama needed! My partner and I made plans around 20 weeks to switch to a home birth, which she welcomed with excited energy!
When I went past my due date (went into labor 41+4) she kept my spirits up with encouraging check ins via text and phone. The funny thing is, Amie and I did not actually meet in person (LOVE how much she prioritized COVID safety), until my water broke and I was in labor. When we did meet, it did not feel like the first time. She was at our house in what literally felt like seconds. Time IS weird during labor, but she was timely and present... and remained present throughout my entire 30 HOUR labor... 10 at home, 20 in the hospital. When we made the decision to transfer to the hospital... Amie was cool, calm, and totally collected, which is exactly what my partner and I needed during that difficult part of labor.
Amie did it all for us... prenatal support, home birth support, hospital transfer support, hospital support, cesearean birth support, and post natal check ins and phone calls. She is amazing - can do it all, and any mama would be lucky to say that Amie was her doula! <3

To make things short and sweet, Amethyst is wonderful and she has our highest recommendation!!
Amethyst is the "baby whisperer"! She has an amazing way with newborns and through our time together she has taught me so much. We hired Amethyst for post partum doula support but she also ended up being a lifesaver for us when I had to be readmitted to the hospital one week after giving birth. She came to the hospital to help take care of my daughter at a moment's notice and helped us with a very difficult situation. As my husband says, Amethyst is "in it for the team." She is an advocate for her clients and all around a caring, knowledgeable, reliable, and supportive person. I can't say enough about how much I valued her presence both in the hospital and later during our overnights at home. Recovering from a c-section was so much easier with her help, and I cannot overstate how restorative it was to have her for overnight post partum support. I will always be grateful to her, and so happy we found Amethyst!!

For as long as I live, I will forever be thankful that this amazing human being - Ms. Amethyst Beach - exists. I don't know what I would have done if she wasn't my doula. (Probably a mental breakdown!)
She helped guide this scared new first time mom out of a long labor + induction. My labor was fought with more than a few too unexpected bumps in the road...on top of the Coronavirus pandemic! I owe her my sanity during those 30+ hours of labor.
She's a hero to me, just like all the medical workers on the front line. On top of all that, she's a kick ass doula period!
She was actually my fill in doula last minute and I was so nervous since I knew nothing about her. But her communication was spot on and she arrived at the hospital right on time, gauged the situation, and jumped into action right away. She's a definite pro!
She could take a peek at the hospital charts/graphs to lend me and my husband more insight of labor progression when all the nurses were busy. She understand the hospital lingo. She knew the best positions for me and baby. She was there for the entire labor and radiated positive energy. All around, just an amazing, trusted source for me and my husband.
Her little massages are amazing, she knew exactly where to go to relieve the tension and pain of labor - even if it's just the littlest touches. She has that magic touch.
If it wasn't for her, I think my husband would definitely be in big trouble. (I love him but he freezes up under pressure and labor is very VERY intense!)
TL;DR - You NEED Amethyst.
A doula isn't just for the birthing woman, it's just as much for the support person! A doula shouldn't be something optional. They've been statistically shown to decrease labor time and c-section rates - which I can definitely see would have happened if I went in without a doula like Amethyst. Her service is worth every single penny spent and then some!

Amethyst was absolutely wonderful to work with and our labor and delivery wouldn't have been the same without her. She took the time to sit down with us a few times prior to the delivery and made sure to understand our birth plan along with any preferences we had, and ensured to stay in communication with us during the weeks leading up to the delivery. Amethyst came to the hospital and stayed with us overnight through the challenging parts of labor, utilizing various massaging techniques to distract from the contractions, which I really enjoyed. She was extremely supportive throughout the whole labor process and so encouraging through the delivery of our healthy baby boy. Thank you so much, Amethyst, for playing an integral role in the birth of our baby!

Amie was such an amazing addition to our birthing team!
She jumped in last minute and responded to a desperate Facebook post asking if there was anyone who could help us. We had been in labor for several hours, the pain was getting more intense, and just didn't have enough hands to do everything.
When she arrived, she knew exactly what to do and her support allowed my husband to support me in other ways. She also worked well with our midwives and was extremely thoughtful about being supportive without being invasive. Whenever I had a need, she was super responsive and we're so thankful to God that she was able to be there!
When looking back the birth of our first baby, Amie is a key part of that story and she is truly gifted in supporting others. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula who genuinely cares for others.
Thanks Amie!
