I chose Julie after interviewing around 4 other doulas and we were very happy with our decision. Julie is smart, competent, professional and just knows all of her stuff! Plus, she is quite experienced. I had a semi-traumatic 1st birth [recovery], due to a persistent painful pelvic floor issue that came about, and developed a tremendous amount of stress and fear as I furthered into my 2nd pregnancy. That's when we decided that maybe finding the right doula could help. Julie helped dissolve all my fears and it was amazing how meeting with her was exactly what we needed to feel confident, comfortable and at ease as we welcomed our second beautiful baby girl into this world. Thank you so much for everything Julie, including all of the amazing resources and your kind spirit!

I was a bit apprehensive when I started my search for the right doula, as I wasn’t sure how I would know when I had found the right person. This was my second pregnancy and I wanted an unmedicated, “natural” birth. I knew a doula was an absolute necessity but again, I was anxious about finding the right person. Despite my feelings of apprehension, when I first spoke with Julie- I knew immediately she was it.
Julie is incredibly knowledgeable on all things pregnancy and birth. She provides all the information in easily digestible chunks and never presses her own beliefs on you- though she is happy to give her opinion when prompted. She was available for any questions I had and was always quick to respond. With her guidance, I felt extremely confident going into labor.
Julie has the best energy- she is so encouraging while also bringing the most calming presence. She knew the exact right things to say to me (words of affirmation are my love language and boy did Julie deliver!) in the exact tone I needed. She read my energy and body language perfectly and knew exactly what to say and do to help me relax into my contractions. I was slightly apprehensive about how a doula would fit in with my husband and mom also in the room but Julie blended in seamlessly and was an incredible asset to all of us, not just me. I honestly could not have imagined birthing without Julie there. In my most vulnerable, raw state- I was so happy to have Julie literally by my side holding my hand.
I believe wholeheartedly that every birthing person deserves unconditional mental and physical support during pregnancy and through labor and delivery. And Julie provides all this and more. I highly recommend her as a doula and cannot begin to truly express the gratitude I feel for her.

Julie was so helpful abs supportive preparing for and recovering from the birth of my second baby. My goal (after a tough first delivery) was to have a positive birth experience and with Julie's help, I had the birth I wanted! I will always have that special memory.
what I liked about Julie was that she was knowledgeable about the evidence around various procedures and interventions and could arm me with the information I needed to make good decisions. She has a calm presence. She had seen different types of birth so she can also draw from experience. So happy I had her in my life!

We were overjoyed to discover that we were expecting twins and felt incredibly fortunate to have Julie as our Doula throughout this remarkable journey. Navigating a twin pregnancy brought its own set of unique challenges, yet Julie's expertise shone brightly. The pre-due date meetings were not only enlightening but also provided a reassuring structure for us to address our initial inquiries and thoughts.
Julie's warm and serene demeanor created an environment where no question felt too big or small—whether seeking resources or delving into various topics. As fate would have it, my pregnancy took an unexpected turn towards the end, preventing Julie's presence during the birth. However, her unwavering support extended into the postpartum phase with invaluable home visits. These visits became a lifeline as we embarked on the journey of caring for our newborns.
Julie's postpartum care was an absolute blessing. The early weeks with twins can be a whirlwind of change, and Julie's guidance was a steady anchor through it all. Her wealth of advice tailored to each developmental stage proved to be a game changer, making our lives significantly smoother during this transition. Recommending Julie comes effortlessly - her comforting presence, delightful companionship, and extensive knowledge make her an exceptional Doula. She has a rare gift of putting you at ease while imparting invaluable wisdom. Our journey was undoubtedly enriched by Julie's involvement, and we wholeheartedly endorse her to anyone seeking expert support during pregnancy and beyond.

Julie was absolutely wonderful to work with, I can't recommend her enough! She was a wealth of knowledge and a calming presence for our entire experience. She spent one-on-one time with my husband and I to make sure we had a birth plan we were confident in, and had all our questions answered ahead of delivery. She provided tons of information and resources about planning, prepping for birth and bringing baby home. She also provided postpartum support and spent time with my baby and I to ensure lactation was going well. Julie gave us lots of tips on how to further our babies development. Julie is awesome to work with!

Julie was such a delight to have around the house. She helped me out so much with my first baby! From nursing tips to calming baby techniques, she was so full of knowledge. I would even direct some of my husband's questions to her. It was so great to have as company on those isolating early newborn days. She encouraged me to nap while she took care of the baby and I needed that so much. I was able to vent without judgment and that was very appreciated. Postpartum hormones are no joke. Thanks again Julie!

Julie exceeded my expectations as a birth and postpartum doula. It was my first pregnancy and birth and I was quite nervous. Julie helped talk me through my anxieties and offered helpful tips for relaxation and opening up my pelvis in preparation for birth. She is very easy (and so friendly!) to communicate with and responds quickly to text and email. My baby ended up arriving late and Julie provided valuable recommendations for induction methods. The birth experience went really well with Julie there to coach me and my husband. She made the atmosphere extremely soothing and her words of encouragement and gentle demeanor helped me birth my baby all the better! Her postpartum services were also essential for me as a new mother. She helped answer so many questions I had about feeding, sleeping, daycare, etc. And it was nice having her in our home just so we could get some rest! Julie is a kind soul and her kindness and knowledge is reflected in the work that she does. I highly recommend her services and have only great things to say about Julie!! I will defentely be booking her again if/when baby #2 arrives :)

Julie was absolutely amazing in our unique situation . My water broke early and I delivered my baby at 25 weeks, 5 days. She checked on me throughout my two week hospital stay and kept in touch during my daughters 3 month NICU stay. When my daughter came home Julie was over the next day. My husband and I were so nervous as first time parents and even more so with a micro preemie. She helped me organize the nursery and made us feel much more confident as parents. I highly recommend her.

Julie was my birth Doula back in March for our first son. From the first time we spoke, she was so kind and warm and really helped me get over my fear of being personal and private. She answered all of our questions and even some we didn't know we had. She helped give me confidence in writing my birth plan and having a voice for myself when the time came. She was super flexible with us when our son came early, between the pre birth appts, the birth itself, and postpartum visits. She stood up for me when things started to take a turn in the hospital. She truly knew what we wanted and she was there to support us no matter what happened. When tthings became seemingly impossible, she helped calm me and my husband, and assisted us in making educated and important decisions. I felt so loved and cared for. She has since been so gracious in always being there when I've had questions related to my new baby. It's been such a pleasure working with her and I highly recommend her for her sweet personality, professionalism, nurturing manner, and unconditional support. Thank you Julie!! ??

Right when we met Julie we knew she was the right fit. She is an excellent listener, knows birthing and babies like the back of her hand, and is incredibly personable and professional. One of the more important things to both my husband and me was that our doula would help convey my birthing preferences but also know how to balance that with my doctor's recommendations. Julie was incredibly respectful of all the medical staff we interacted with. She worked alongside my nurse during delivery and it really felt like I had a team supporting me. At one point she was the only person who could get through to me and I'll forever be grateful for her. As a post-partum doula she's also an incredible support. Having a newborn comes with physical and mental hurdles that Julie was and is well-equipped to handle. I can't imagine not having her help, and cannot recommend her highly enough!

Julie was the doula for my birth in May of 2022. Her guidance and the resources she provided were invaluable to my experience, which was extremely positive.
In the weeks leading up to my due date, Julie provided me with all sorts of helpful information. I am very much a "what studies prove it" kind of person when it comes to suggestions. Julie respected this and whenever she would make a reccomendation or answer my questions, she would often provide the relevant research and science-based explanations. She met with me multiple times to prepare me for the challenge of breastfeeding and to ensure my birth plan contained all the decisions and directions that a 'dream birth' would entail for me. She explained the different options available to me ranging from birthing positions to post-birth medicines available to baby, and was prepared to act as my advocate in the delivery room should I need it.
When the day finally came, I began labor in the morning on a Sunday. My husband and I went to the hospital around 9am and Julie immediately met us there. She was by my side throughout labor and delivery around 1:15pm. I ended up delivering vaginally without medication, though she was supportive of any path I wanted to take. She was encouraging, worked well with the midwives and nurses, and was able to answer questions from my husband. Afterwards, she stayed to make sure I was ready for my first night in the hospital and the physical recovery that I was to embark on.
In the weeks after the birth, Julie was readily available for the many questions and few concerns I threw her way. She never imposed any of her own opinions or beliefs, and instead validated mine and my husband's.
I highly recommend Julie as a Doula. She provides insight and guidance that is customized to your personality and needs and helps you through your birth experience in a way beyond what doctors or midwives can offer.

Julie was an exceptional postpartum doula for me and my family. Prior to meeting Julie my husband and I were extremely sleep deprived and had tons of questions on caring for a newborn. Julie helped us through it with such a caring and gentle approach. She's very knowledgeable on all things related to feeding and helping calm fussy babies to help them sleep. I felt calm and reassured that our baby was in good hands on the nights she stayed with us. She shared helpful observations that were documented for us to refer to, which was also very helpful as a new mom since I often have difficultly remembering things! She gave us wonderful suggestions to help our newborn with feeding and sleeping by implementing routines and shared helpful resources. Julie's non-judgmental and caring approach was just what I needed as a new first time mom transitioning into parenthood. I'd highly recommend Julie to anyone needing support during (what can be) a very challenging time for families.

We were fortunate enough to have Julie's help with our second child, and are so grateful we did. She truly went above and beyond for our family, and her expertise helped us in the moment and for months to come as well.

If you are looking for a birth doula, Julie is your person! Having Julie as our doula was hands down the best decision we made during our pregnancy. We were first time parents and having Julie helped us tremendously. She is super nice, very passionate and knowledgeable about what she does. She always checks in on how I was doing throughout my pregnancy and after birth. She's also very detailed and prepared us really well from birth plan to postpartum care and everything in between. Because of Julie, we had a positive birth experience and postpartum and we couldn't thank her enough. We highly recommend Julie to anyone especially first time parents! We look forward to working with her again with baby #2! ??

There is one thing at the top of my postpartum must have list: Julie as postpartum doula. Julie was more than helpful... she supported us as new parents. My husband and I thought we could do it all ourselves. We read all the books and took all the baby care classes. Baby arrived and we had no idea what we were doing! We were so tired and had so many questions. We could ask her any baby question and she had real life tips and tricks that worked- sleep and feeding schedules, bathing, care and my well-being. I credit Julie for helping in my recovery and saving my breastfeeding journey (they don’t teach her tips at the hospital). Julie brought a calm, kind presence to our house. We were so comfortable with her and felt so confident after her guidance! We will refer her to any friend that is expecting and will ask for her help again when we are ready for our next one :)

Long but worth the entire read. Where do I even begin. At first I wasn’t sure about working with a daytime doula since I wondered what the real benefit would be. My contract with my overnight postpartum doula was ending and I needed mommy skills to get me through the entire day. I did my diligence and spoke with Julie’s references of which all spoke very highly of her, that gave me the confidence to sign a contract. Right away she helped ease my anxiety by helping establish a routine I could use with my son whether day or night or anywhere we went. I was surprised I finally had some precious moments of “me time”, to eat, take a shower and most importantly nap! With her positive reinforcement my confidence as a new mom grew each session. I learned how to best bond with my son and spot for cues but most importantly how to respond and not be on reactive mode. We would set goals each week. For example, feeling confident driving with my newborn and creating practical spaces for us to fully function. All while Julie was right there encouraging me the whole way through. Julie is super resourceful and the fact that she’s a mom herself you get the sense of community tribe every women needs. I seriously felt like she’s the Mary Popin’s of the doula world. She would carry all these tools in he r bag. She helped me through my trying times of motherhood and I’m eternally grateful for her contribution to me and my son's transition postpartum. Thanks to her I connected to a mommy and me group and identified a tongue tie issue my son had. Julie is a good quality person with a great attitude, always positive, and encouraging. She has my highest recommendation.
