Selecting Angelina as your doula is an absolute no brainer. She is experienced, compassionate, knowledgable, and the ideal mix of professional and down to earth. We achieved exactly the type of natural, unmedicated birth we aimed for due to our association with Angelina. I simply cannot endorse her enough. We're extremely happy that we chose this smart & terrific human being as our guiding light during labor. Being a doula requires both knowledge and the ability to communicate clearly to both the mother to be and the hospital staff. Angelina Valentin has met and exceeded every standard we had for a doula.

Angie is the advocate and friend that every woman should have in her corner especially during pregnancy, birth, and post partum. She provided me the education, support, and care to help me make educated choices for my birth plan, and she helped me reinforce that plan. She made the whole birthing process a delight because I could relax knowing that she had my back and advocated my desires. I whole heartedly recommend her to everyone!

From the moment she entered our lives, Angelina became an indispensable part of mine and my husband's journey into parenthood. We had a rough start with our previous doula being callous with our son's safety, so we went into working with Angelina very cautiously and anxiously.
However, during the eight weeks she spent with our family, Angelina's expertise and warmth really turned all of that around. Her unwavering dedication to our well-being and her profound knowledge were evident in every interaction, which was much needed as we were scarred from our previous experience. Angelina not only supported me in my physical recovery but also nurtured our confidence as new parents. Her gentle demeanor and wealth of knowledge transformed our uncertainties into moments of learning and growth. From breastfeeding tips to soothing techniques, Angelina's guidance was both practical and empowering.
Beyond her role as a doula, Angelina became a trusted confidante, offering compassionate ear and sage advice during the challenges of early parenthood. Her presence brought a sense of calm and reassurance to our home, allowing us to navigate this transformative time with greater ease and joy. In Angelina, we found not just a doula, but a cherished ally whose dedication and kindness left an indelible mark on our lives. We are so grateful for her support and wholeheartedly recommend her to any family seeking compassionate care and guidance.

My wife and I agree that Angie was such a tremendous help. Her classes were informative and the labor support she provided was invaluable. Angie is eloquent, articulate, and has a knack for making sense of the elusive.

Angelina is the best thing that could of happened to me during my pregnancy. I was referred to her by another lady in my birth class who had Angelina as her doula for her first baby, was on her second and had just hired her again. She described her as being her rock as she labored and told me about all the things they did and talked about in their visits and during contractions. Angelina sounded great but I was still nervous. I didn't know if I could afford her or if she would be able to take me too (the other lady's due date was really close to mine). I looked Angelina up online and saw that she had a bad review but I decided I'd email her later that night anyway. She immediately responded. We met later that week and I could see what the lady in my class was talking about - Angelina was very sweet and it was so easy to feel comfortable in her presence. I knew she was just right for me. She was up front about potential schedule conflicts with my due date, including having another client due within a week of my due date (the lady from class, I'm sure), she gave me her back up's information (which was never used) and answered all of my questions and more (and I had A LOT!!). When I went into labor Angelina came within 30 minutes and was ready to support me. She was with me every step of the way and I have everything to be thankful for for having her. I don't know how anyone could say anything so mean about Angelina. There are not very many people like her who are so genuinely sweet and kind and caring about others. Angelina is meant for this kind of work and it shows! She is smart, well-spoken, kind, friendly and is always calm and at peace. You can just see it in her face and hear it in her voice. You'd be a fool to believe that bad review. Even moreso to not have Angelina's support because of it. Meet her, you'll see.

According to dictionary.reference.com the definition of testimonial is:
1. A written declaration certifying to a person's character, conduct, or qualifications, or to the value, excellence, etc., of a thing; a letter or written statement of recommendation.
2. Something given or done as an expression of esteem, admiration, or gratitude.
People seldom take the time to leave a review of something they like. It seems like all we are ever exposed to is the negatives. Honestly, I was not going to take the time to write a testimonial until I saw the horrible representation of this doula.
My story:
I found Angie when I was about twenty weeks pregnant with my only child. First we emailed. Angie always responded in a professional and timely manner. Second we spoke on the phone. She was nice, understanding, personable and professional. Then we met in person. She was everything that she represented herself to be. I immediately felt comfortable with her. After a few days and meeting with a few more doulas, my husband and I decided to hire her.
Being my first pregnancy I had a lot of questions. Angie always answered my emails and phone calls in a friendly, professional tone quickly. She went above and beyond her duties to make me happy and feel informed. Angie even went with me to meet my midwife which was a hours drive away.
When the day came for me to have my baby, Angie met us at the hospital. She stayed with us and supported both my husband and I needed. Again, she went above and beyond taking care of both of us.
She was in the hospital with us, constantly supporting us and making nurses and doctors aware of our birth plan. Angie is a dedicated, hard worker who really takes the time to get to know her clients and their needs.
I am very grateful that I met Angie and she was the one there supporting me and helping me bring my child into this world.

My first experience giving birth left me frightened and anxious. With my second, my cousin told me about her doula, Angie. I reluctantly agreed to meet Angie. Upon meeting her I immediately felt her warmth and kindness. Upon speaking with her I knew she was exactly the kind of person I could allow into my birth space. I could not have had my son at home without her. She had a way about her; her words; her voice; even the sweet smell of her hair. As our doula she brought tons of useful information, tools and skills. She brought topics to our attention that we had not considered before. Angie, you are tremendous love!
As we prepare for our third baby (another homebirth) this fall we are hugely relieved to find that Angie moved back to the bay area and will be our doula again!! We wouldn't want any other doula. She's just that great.

She is not trustable and should not be in this business. She is filled with lies/BS. Story is I found Angelina "Angie" Valentin online and I talked with Angie to being my birth Doula and she mentioned that she is available via email. So then I met her personally and confirmed my date with her. Even I booked my first appointment with her and gave deposit check. During that time I was talking with other doulas and I cancelled with all of them after re-confirming with Angie on next day. Just a week before our first appointment, Angie emailed me saying that she can’t do as one of her existing client want her for more days (maybe she is getting more money). I was shocked/surprised, as only few weeks were left in my due date. After that I tried to call her but no answer from her. On emailing her that how she can do this to me as she already took my deposit and confirmed. She said that she is mailing my check back to me and she has not signed any contract with me (But while giving me contract she said “I don’t need to worry about it and her words are enough”). At this point I got the message that she found someone else who is giving her more money. It’s sad to see and more sad is when I met her, I was deceived by her nice talk and liked her but scared to see that how she flipped later. She is the person which makes me feel “Life is not fair”. I hope after reading this someone will get saved and will not get into her nice talk. Especially during your birth when you are so weak/fragile, you don’t want this kind of person.
I would thank God for her not being my Doula. I hope no one else get into her fake trap as I did and made my few last week of pregnancy stressful.
