Asha was my doula for my second baby and she was amazing in every way. Asha provided the information I needed when I needed it, assurance, comfort, and care throughout my pregnancy. During my labour, Asha was such a calming presence and knew all the right things to do without asking. Thank you soooo much Asha for everything!!

Asha was part of my birth team who over all made my pregnancy and birth experience a net positive. I was initially very nervous and anxious and wasn't sure what I needed or wanted from a doula but Asha was flexible in responding to this dynamic and my vision and helped make it happen. I was referred to her after searching for a doula who could offer culturally informed as well as knowledgeable support going through the process. Asha showed up and was accessible when I needed her and helped guide me through as everything progressed. She was a trusted backstop that slowed things down and helped me understand things as well as helped me confirm what I wanted when things started to feel fast. I loved that she also helped document the process along the way and brought materials to help set the mood.

Asha was an invaluable support to my husband and I throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I loved her prenatal yoga classes and birth prep class. Her pregnancy circles offered me a space to connect with myself and my baby that I wouldn't have done otherwise which is very special. Asha also offered a lot of support to prepare our toddler for a baby sibling and offered many tips on effectively communicating with a toddler in general including book recommendations which has honestly been a gamechanger for us as a family. Asha understood my values and wishes for birth and I felt safe and empowered in her presence. I wish I had worked with her for my first birth as well!

Asha was an incredible support in our journey. She was always willing to address concerns or questions, and at my labor she was such a peaceful presence and a huge help not only to myself but to my partner.

Our birth was early and unexpected. Asha showed up with exactly what she thought we could use to make our birth a more gentle and loving experience, and it most definitely was! She helped me bring our little sweet baby into this world. I don't know what I would've done without her, she was my anchor and showed my mom and husband how to support me during contractions. She made things feel more natural and beautiful when I felt vulnerable. I appreciate her SO freaking much! ??

Asha was everything we needed for the birth of our babe and I cannot recommend her enough! She provides great education and enabled me to have strength to stand up for myself and what I wanted in my appointments and in labour. She was encouraging and calming and knew just when to lead me to the next, right cue (time in the shower, moving, breathing, contractions etc.). She was also a great help and break for my husband in giving him advice and hip squeezing breaks during labour.

She provided great post partum check ins/care and you can truly feel her compassion and love for the work that she does. We had an absolutely amazing birth experience and I know that we owe so much of that to her. We love her energy and are so appreciative to have had her as part of our experience.

We were so thankful to have Asha on our side for our pregnancy and birth. She is down to earth, honest, and supports parents to make the best informed decisions for themselves. We enjoyed our 1-1 sessions in person and online. Asha is relatable and easy to talk to. She answered our questions and lead us to our own discoveries of what we wanted and needed. She helped us work through some fears and uncertainties that we had about pregnancy and birth. Not only did I benefit from her emotional, physical and mental support leading up to and during our birth but so did my husband. He commented on how appreciative he was to have her there during the birth, and that her support for both of us was crucial to being able to get through the long labor and birth of our daughter. Asha was there when we needed her most, when we were both exhausted from a long labor. She was that person that backed us up and advocated for us to say can they have a minute to discuss this matter privately. This allowed us a time and space to discuss pros and cons and ultimately make a decision that was best for our birth. If you are looking for a doula we highly suggest using Asha.

I don't have words to describe how blessed we feel to have had Asha's guidance and wisdom throughout our journey to parenthood. I feel that she went above and beyond for us, she was warm and kind and above all else she made me feel valid as a fat pregnant person. I was on the fence about hiring a doula at first but I'm so glad we did, we wouldn't have been able to navigate our "difficult" midwife situation without her. If you are at all questioning whether you should go the doula route, I 10000% recommend doing it and choosing Asha. I wish I had more time on my hands to write a novel about how amazing this woman is, but I don't so you'll just have to take my word for it!

After having a incredibly horrible experience with a doula for my first birth I was very hesitant about getting another one. However Asha was incredible and I cannot recommend her enough. She was so patient and loving and took the time to help us feel as prepared as possible for the birth and help me find some healing for my last birth trauma.

I began my search for a doula because my husband and I do not have family nearby and I was looking for a support person who could help me through the journey of giving birth. Asha was an immediate fit and I found her to be a very calm and reassuring presence. She prepared us for the birth using both in person and virtual sessions as the COVID situation was evolving.

On the day my daughter was born, Asha arrived at the hospital just as my contractions were beginning to intensify. She calmly prepared the room with soft lighting and music because she knew I had wanted a home birth and did her best to create that safe space for me. She even covered the clock so I would stop obsessing over the length of the labour!

She was the perfect balance of support for both me and my husband and seemed to instinctively know how to balance the situation. She communicated our wishes to the hospital staff and took over when I wasn't able to communicate once the birth progressed.

I am so grateful that Asha was there for us and she supported us in ways we really could not have anticipated. After the birth the nurses commented that she was one of the best doulas they had seen. She visited us postpartum and answered all my questions and even provided  recommendations on breastfeeding.

A few days later, Asha shared a few photos she took while I was in labour and right after our daughter arrived. I wasn't even aware she was taking them at the time but I cherish those photos now because they are a keepsake of the day. I was so out of it at the end and they are a comfort now that allow us to relive the best parts of the birth.

We would highly recommend Asha for her calming presence, her knowledge and for the above and beyond support she provided both before and after the birth. Meeting Asha and having her be a part of this journey was the best decision we made and we are ever thankful!

I hired Asha because of my previous traumatic birth, and I couldn’t be more thankful for her support. Asha helped me feel calm and supported not only during the birth, but throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. She always replied to me promptly, acknowledged my feelings and provided guidance when appropriate. She encouraged healthy expression of emotions and was a great mentor in easing our transition from one to two children. Throughout the intensity of labour, she was an incredibly powerful grounding presence. She was extremely supportive postpartum and helped me reach out to an IBCLC for lactation support. She is very knowledgeable in all things pregnancy/labour and postpartum. If we decide to have another child, I would not hesitate to hire Asha again.

Asha was a fundamental part of our birth team for the birth of our first child. I knew she would be a great support day of with things like comfort and advocacy but what really benefitted me pre and post partum was the emotional support she provided. When I was struggling during my pregnancy she was an amazing listener who made me feel heard and validated my feelings. With all the prenatal support she provided, I felt empowered day of to advocate for myself. The birth did not go "to plan" but because of our conversations leading up to our due date I was prepared for anything and  look back at the decisions we made with pride and contentment. Having a doula like Asha was a worthwhile investment.

We hired Asha to be our doula not really knowing what to expect. We were planning for a home birth, and as a first time mom I was nervous about what this would entail and wanted to make sure that both me and my husband had adequate support. Asha absolutely exceeded our expectations. She supported me and my husband through early labour, and when things started to get more intense she set up the birth pool so we didn't have to worry about it. We ended up transferring to hospital before our baby was born, and Asha stayed behind to clean up the birth pool and birthing space so we wouldn't have to worry about it once we got home. After that, she met us at the hospital and was amazing through the 2 ½ hours of pushing it took to bring our little one into the world. I couldn't have done it without her encouraging words.

After we had a couple of days to settle in at home, we had a family member ask if we would use a doula again. Both of us agreed that it was the best money we've ever spent. Thank you Asha for being part of our birth story!

I'm already an anxious person and I was having my first baby during a pandemic. I didn't want to go through my pregnancy and labor on prepared but was worried that too much information would just cause me to panic. I loved that Asha was willing to take my lead on the level of support I needed. There was absolutely no unsolicited advice or information provided. I could tell her specific concerns or issues/topics I wanted more information. She would provide some information or resources and would only go more in depth if I asked her to. Asha was also a great support and resource for my husband. It was a huge relief to him to know that there was a knowledgeable person and personal friend just a text away if he needed it.

Asha is the best postpartum doula a new mother could ask for! She is like a knowledgeable friend, ready to talk through issues and offer guidance. I could not have asked for a kinder, more attentive and supportive doula. Asha made my postpartum experience a lot more bearable and helped me get through it just by offering great advice, mental and physical support. Asha helped greatly with tips on how to breastfeed effectively when I struggled and was very knowledgeable about proper nutrition to keep up my milk supply. I am very grateful  for everything she did for us, I would highly recommend her and can’t wait to work with her again !

Asha was such a professional and helped me so much. Before working with Asha, I was nervous about labour after a late term miscarriage. Asha helped me feel confident about my ability to advocate for myself and have the birthing experience I hoped for. She made me feel strong and helped me find my voice. Thank you!!
