I am SO glad we chose to work with Kathleen as our postpartum doula! Kathleen is kind, empathetic, and so reliable. It was amazing to have her sturdy presence “in our corner” during the first few months of our daughter’s life. Even though I have a strong local network of friends and family, it was so helpful to have her support in listening and offering thoughtful advice about feeding, how my husband and I could get sleep, establishing routines, and even simple guidance like which bottles to buy (so helpful when my brain was exhausted and I couldn’t bear to read more product reviews and make yet one more decision). She also advised and supported me in the transition back to work after parental leave. I highly recommend having Kathleen’s warm and encouraging presence as part of your postpartum experience!

We weren't entirely sure we needed a postpartum doula, but since we are new parents, I decided to hire Kathleen just in case we needed extra help and I'm so glad we did! Our baby was pretty easy and sleepy that first week, so Kathleen mainly helped with some household chores, showed us how to tie a baby sling, and answered all our questions about breastfeeding, swaddling, etc.
After that first week though, our baby started being more awake and fussier, and I was feeling more overwhelmed. It was then even more helpful when Kathleen come to watch our baby and suggested that I go take a quick refreshing walk just me and my husband. I really needed that reset, and have used taking a walk outside as a way to help deal with the stress and ever since! It's amazing what some fresh air and exercise can do!
Even when she was not with us, she would check in on me via text every so often and answer my many questions. She is super sweet, easy to talk to, and extremely helpful for our family in navigating caring for a newborn! She is very knowledgable, and as new parents it was reassuring to have someone show us the ropes and build our confidence. I would highly recommend Kathleen to every new parent, even if you don't think you need a postpartum doula, because she is so worth it!

Having Kathleen as a resource during the early postpartum days was a breath of fresh air. I felt so relieved the days she came by and helped us in our home, especially after my husband went back to work and I was still on leave. She is so easy to be around, calm and reassuring. She helped us get rest, made delicious meals, answered any questions, helped us switch out baby clothes, and many other things. I wish I had worked with her even before having my daughter to help get everything set up. Our daughter was in the NICU for three weeks after she was born and she kept checking in on us which really meant a lot to us. Would 150% work with her again if I had another baby and recommend her to my friends.

Kathleen was an incredible resource for us once our baby arrived. She has a tremendous amount of knowledge that she does a great job at sharing. Her calming demeanor and strong encouragement made all the difference for us in the first few weeks. She had great ideas when it came to various questions we had and was also able to help navigate us towards many different resources. I still use a lot of the tips and tricks she taught us. Additionally, she is fantastic company to have around. I could not recommend Kathleen more as a doula.

Kathleen is a treasure! Her calm, positive presence and wide ranging expertise brought my wife and I so much peace of mind during the crazy transition into parenthood. I can't imagine having done it without her! Give yourself the gift of Kathleen's doula services, and you won't regret it!

Kathleen is a warm, deeply empathetic person who stepped into my family's life on short notice, when we really needed a life saver. We couldn't have envisioned a kinder, more capable set of helping hands appearing in our time of need. Calm, attentive, and gentle, Kathleen immediately put our infant daughter (and us) at ease. Her insights are spot on and have been very helpful (e.g. adding a dream feed to our routine, how to slow down milk over-supply, etc). Most of all, Kathleen is a reassuring presence in the house, who has offered us real peace of mind. We're so happy we found Kathleen and can't recommend her enough!

Hiring Kathleen was the best decision I made for my postpartum experience. She is extremely kind, professional and knowledgable and she kept my husband and I sane for the four months she worked with us. With my first child I didn't have any help beyond my family and it made an enormous difference having someone to talk to who was impartial and completely non-judgmental of my choices and needs. Kathleen not only helped us keep our house in order and with our kids, but she was an essential lifeline during a period where we were cut off from most other people due to the pandemic. We felt completely safe with Kathleen and she always made us feel comfortable. She truly went above and beyond to help us navigate the difficult transition from one to two children (during a global pandemic) and I don't know what we would have done without her. If you're looking for someone who is as good at calming babies as she is at calming new mom fears, hire Kathleen. I cannot recommend her enough!

We weren't sure about hiring a postpartum doula but decided to do so because of the pandemic. It turned out to be the best decision we made! Kathleen was absolutely wonderful, and a great fit for us as a family. In choosing a postpartum doula, it was very important to us to find someone who was pro-vaccines and generally pro-science, as well as who would support us however the birth turned out (for example, if a c-section was necessary, or if breastfeeding didn't work out. I also wanted someone who would support my decision to have an epidural). Kathleen checked all of these boxes -- and so much more. She has such a wonderful, calming manner. As first time parents, we were worried about so many things, and just clueless about others. She helped us in so many ways, both with practical infant care things and with larger, more abstract things, like talking through how motherhood pulls on your sense of self. I also was so grateful for her help with breastfeeding, and with negotiating some feeding issues with our daughter. Early on, our baby wasn't gaining enough weight, which was incredibly stressful. But Kathleen always helped us figure out workable solutions to nursing + pumping, as well as think through what the next steps might be, so I felt prepared when we were meeting with the pediatrician.
Working with Kathleen made our first week home with the baby so much more peaceful and happy, rather than stressful, and she was so helpful in the following weeks and months as well. Just knowing we could set up an appointment if we needed it was so reassuring. She is a wonderful postpartum doula and I highly recommend her!

Being new parents is hard, especially during COVID. We had no idea where to start when we were told that all the education classes at the hospital were suspended. Luckily we found Kathleen who turned out to be a lifesaver! We booked two virtual sessions with her during my pregnancy- one was about baby care and the other one was about breastfeeding. She prepared very well with an organized outline, nice slides, and useful information. She also answered our questions with great patience. I had a lot of concerns about breastfeeding at first because I've heard many negative stories. But Kathleen helped me to understand the process by providing me the knowledge about breastfeeding - pros and cons of breastfeeding, tips to ease swelling and pain, ways to avoid mastitis, etc. I felt better when getting informed and it really helped me to breastfeed my baby later. She also helped us a lot after the baby was born. Kathleen cares about the families throughout the process, making you feel warm and supported. I would always recommend Kathleen if you are looking for a postpartum doula!

Kathleen is my post partum doula. All of our sessions were virtual because it was the height of covid-19, but I knew that I still wanted support. Our whole time together was better and more helpful than I could have imagined. Our calls were on a flexible schedule, and connecting over facetime was actually really easy and nice. Kathleen was helpful from day one, answering all our questions thoroughly, giving really amazing advice that I definitely didn't read in any of the books I had. We met once in advance and gave her a tour of our nursery. She gave helpful hints about important things to set up or have on hand. Then we met twice a week for the first few weeks and eventually went down to once a week, then once a month, all on my schedule and what I needed. We texted often to check in too, which was great when I had a quick question or just wanted to give a fun update about a successful or new thing with baby. She knew when she could help and when it was best for us to go to the pediatrician, which was really comforting. As a first-time mom, she guided me through breastfeeding and eventually bottle feeding, sleepless nights, and self-care when she knew I needed it. Kathleen was so helpful, compassionate, easy to open up to, and extremely knowledgeable. The first few months of my baby’s life would not have been so smooth without her help. I highly recommend Kathleen, either in-person or virtual. She was so great to work with and I can’t wait for the day we can finally meet in person.

Kathleen is amazing and I absolutely recommend her to any family looking for a postpartum doula. We did not have a doula after the birth of my first child, and it was such a night and day difference to have her after the birth of my second. With Kathleen's help I was able to find time to shower, exercise, nap, and otherwise recharge. She also went above and beyond to support me on an emotional level as well, checking in before and after delivery. Her calm and caring demeanor put my entire family at ease. Not only was she great with our newborn, but she would also take initiative to help out around the house --from laundry, dishes, and organization to meal prep. Her services allowed me time to recharge so that later I could be fully present with both my kids. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her most highly to any new mom!

When my OB suggested I consider using a postpartum doula, I never imagined how valuable of a relationship it would be. Upon my first discussion with Kathleen I felt immediately comfortable and didn't need to look any further. In the weeks leading up to the birth of our daughter, she was able to answer every question my husband and I had and made suggestions for an easy transition to home. Once our baby arrived we looked forward to Kathleen's visits to our home. She kindly assisted with household and childcare tasks and allowed us time to recharge. She served as an invaluable resource for unforeseen breastfeeding difficulties and effortlessly helped us navigate ever-changing newborn behaviors. I highly suggest the use of a postpartum doula, and Kathleen would fit seamlessly into any family.

Kathleen was our postpartum doula when my second daughter was born in January 2020. Kathleen came to our house several times and my family always had a great experience. The first time she came to the house was the day I was discharged from the hospital. That is always a difficult day to be at home, with a new baby, not knowing what to expect. But I am so glad she was there to help us through the transition. I did not know where to start and she was really helpful taking the initiative and offering to help with several chores. She would hold the baby when I had to take care of my other kid or when I would have to take a shower; she also organized things around the house, cooked and helped with breastfeeding.
Kathleen is a very caring person and really easy to talk to. We always felt very comfortable having her around.
With her, I never felt like there was a stranger in the house. We have had postpartum doulas before, with our first kid, and we never felt as comfortable as we did with Kathleen. I highly recommend her as a doula. And I would definitely hire her again.

Kathleen was so helpful following the birth of our daughter! She was very empathetic and validating, and made my husband and I feel at ease during an overwhelming time. Kathleen came to our home where she assisted with breastfeeding and pumping education/strategies, back to work and traveling tips, and how to communicate feeding needs to daycare provider. She made herself available to us anytime and worked easily around our busy schedules. I highly recommend Kathleen to any new mom or mom to be!

Kaathleen is exactly what you want in a postpartum doula. She is kind, compassionate, confident, and caring, just to name a few of her attributes. After an unexpected c-section, caring for our son was much more difficult than I anticipated. Additionally, my son and I were struggling with breastfeeding, something that was extremely important to me. I truly believe that if Kathleen had not been my postpartum doula, I would not be exclusively breastfeeding my son. Kathleen is an insightful lactation consultant, and she provides referrals when necessary.
In addition to breastfeeding support, Kathleen assisted in food prep for the week too. She made us smoothies, pancakes, oatmeal, and eggs to name a few. She offered great advice on foods to help me with my insatiable postpartum hunger.
Lastly, Kathleen talked to me for at least 30 minutes on a weekend when I had a question about my son. Although she is no longer providing my family with in home postpartum care, she continues to check in on me and my family. I highly recommend Kathleen Robbins!
