I cannot express enough how helpful Kayla was during my pregnancy and birth. Throughout pregnancy, Kayla continually offered advice and asked questions that made me stop and consider the type of birth I wanted. She is a believer in making your voice heard and being prepared for all things baby! She is as passionate as you can get about pregnancy, birth stories and sweet babies. Kayla's personality and demeanor made for a perfect doula for me. She is strong-minded and confident, but incredibly calm and constantly aware of your needs. If something is important to you, she will make sure that it happens!

When I went into labor eleven days early, Kayla was on vacation in AZ. I called her to let her know that I didn't expect her to be present due to the circumstances, but after hanging up, Kayla hopped on the first flight back home. Meanwhile at the hospital, I was just going into transition and was convinced that I wasn't able to birth naturally anymore when Kayla arrived. Through transition and pushing, Kayla used methods that we had previously discussed to help me get through the pain. Kayla used massage, essential oils, a fan (wonderful!), words of encouragement and more. Although she would have supported me had I decided to get an epidural, Kayla knew that birthing naturally was important to me, and with her help, I succeeded! Her methods took me from coping poorly and ready to give up, to finding my rhythm and taking it one contraction at a time. After delivery, Kayla continued to provide support to both me and my husband with food runs, photography (throughout the entire birthing process and some adorable newborn pictures afterwards), and advice with baby. After returning home, Kayla would contact me to check in and offer advice, links to helpful articles online and additional ideas for me to think about.

Kayla made my experience a more positive and enjoyable one, and I recommend her to everyone interested in a doula service.

I had Kayla Dalle attend both my children’s births and I would recommend her again in a heart beat! She was supportive in every way I needed her. She helped relieve my husband when he needed a break, she took all our gear from the car to the hospital room, she brought me popciles during the at home portion of labor, braided my hair, spent hours fanning my face through every contraction, she even captured moments on camera that I would have missed as my husband was helping me during the pushing stage. Kayla understood what I needed even if I couldn’t fully communicate during the intensity of labor. She made me feel comfortable and I knew I was under great care. Thank you Kayla Dalle!
