First and foremost thank you Ashley! My husband Lynn and I were so blessed to have you in our home again to welcome our second daughter Coralynn into this world.

I highly recommend Ashley and the services they provide. The physical and emotional support they provided regarding pain management, mobility, positioning and coping during labor and after was just the guidance I needed. I appreciate that they managed their time with us and utilized downtime to help with postpartum meal prep and snacks. Making sure I was eating and drinking properly throughout all stages of this pregnancy gave me the energy and strength needed to recover quickly.

I was so happy to see Ashley spend time with our daughter Abigail and also give Lynn and I time to rest and relax when possible. Having Ashley by my side was empowering. Knowing I had someone "in my corner" during labor and recovery helped me beat my postpartum baby blues and feel confident to manage myself and two children under the age of two.

Ashley is skilled in multitasking and identifying ways to assist a growing family. Seeing them step up to care for us as well as our children really made the whole experience fantastic. Above all, the comfort, trust and respect we received are what's important. We are forever grateful and wish them the best in their journey as a Doula.

Ashley came into our lives in our third trimester when shit was hitting the fan. They have such a presence that was open and at easy to approach. They listened to our concerns, our days, our experiences and asked before offering any suggestions or recommendations. Ahsley comes with a wealth of knowledge. We go to them with any concerns or questions we may have and if they do not have insight on the topic they know who does. They are well connected to the queer community. Ashley is kind & compassionate individual knowing what an individual may need during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. They make delicious soups and muffins that nourish the recovering body. They are a great listener and have the abilty to put aside whatever they be going through personally to be present for their clients. Cedar is familiar with their voice and embraces their touch.

Ashley is full of energy. They are a doer and got whatever it is we needed done, done. They are truly a doula that helps their community and is accessible to all individuals no matter where they are in life. They meet you, hold the space and assist you to get through the light and dark times. We are grateful for Ashley and highly recommend them for postpartum care. Postpartum can be lonely and distressing and having Ashley has enriched our lives. Their jokes and stories entertain and distract us from whatever darkness we are travelling through. Ashley is an excellent communicator and their check in texts show us we are cared for. Ashley thinks outside of the box and holds social justice high in their values. They will also make sure we drink our water, get enough sleep and assist in getting us the nutrients we need.

Thank you Ashley for doing what you do and having the heart that you have. You are part of our village and story. Cedar thanks you with their smiles. The world could definitely use more doulas like yourself. Ones in it for the heart and not the money.

Ashley has been such a huge help to me and my family, I can’t recommend her services enough. As a first time mom the biggest value for me was having access to her vast knowledge and childcare experience. She taught me so much, how to properly wear my baby carrier, how to bathe baby so she doesn’t get cold, what to bring in the diaper bag (several things I was clueless on) tips for soothing baby (they work!) and helped with things that would’ve taken me hours on the internet to figure out like how to set up and use the car seat, stroller and breast pump. It’s been 2 weeks since she worked with us and I’ve probably said the words “Ashley said ...” a hundred times. She accompanied us on our first outings and helped me go to our first doctors appointment, things I couldn’t have done by myself. Having her there to show me how to prepare for the outing and having her guidance along the way provided me with confidence to take the baby out on my own once I’m recovered. This is an invaluable lesson for me. Ashley also provided my body with support. She made sure I stayed nourished and hydrated, which I can’t thank her enough for. It wasn’t the first thing on my mind but so critical to my breastfeeding and recovery. And she allowed me to sleep while she took care of the baby, bless her! I wish every parent could have an Ashley to help with a new baby!!!

My husband and I unexpectedly became foster parents to a one and half week old baby. We didn’t plan on having kids and don’t have much experience...let alone preparation! Ashley was the KEY to our success as caregivers. She taught us everything we needed to know and helped us remain calm in the face of immense hardship. She was patient, diligent, caring and incredibly sensitive to not only the infant’s needs, but also the emotional and practical needs of my partner and I. She washed bottles, took care of the baby so we could shower/practice self care, listened, educated us, cried with us. Ashley Woods is a treasure of a human and a knowledgeable, levelheaded, loving doula. I recommend her as highly as one possibly can. Thanks Ashley, you were there when we really really needed you.

I can't say enough about Ashley and the impeccable care she provided for our family. From my labor to postpartum care she didn't skip a beat. She was by my side during my labor which spanned over 48 hours until delivery. She made sure I stayed hydrated and ate whenever possible. She also helped me take walks, coach me through the pain and track my contractions. We we're blessed to have her by our side to welcome our daughter Abigail with a homebirth. Ashley"s calm and positive demeanor helped me go the distance. Her knowledge and motivation saved us as first time parents too. She guided us through breastfeeding, swaddling, wearing  the baby wrap, bathing Abigail, and above all, calming and communicating with our sweet baby girl. She truly went above and beyond by cooking and cleaning which allowed me to take the time to recovery physically and mentally after birth. She also offered moral support to both my husband and I in the middle of the night when Abigail wouldn't stop crying. She even looked after her to allow us to get a few extra hours of rest when we most needed it. I highly recommend Ashley as a Doula and childcare provider. I truly believe she's fulfilling her purpose by blessing others with such special and experienced care. We can only hope she'll be with us again for baby number two!
