When I first hired Jaimee's business partner and midwife, Christina, I wasn't even sure exactly what a doula was or if I would want to spend the money on utilizing her services. 

After attending one of the childbirth educational classes titled "Comfort Measures" where Jaimee and Christina taught my husband and I (along with 3 other couples) different comfort poses to use during the third trimester and active labor-- I was convinced that we would find a way to hire her as our Doula. Jamie's kind-heartedness and loving spirit is undeniable when you meet her. She exudes care and comfort. I knew my husband would feel less pressure during the birth if I had Jamie there to support me and him and offer advice and hands-on care with me getting into different laboring positions. She was an absolute amazing caretaker during labor.

I have this specific memory of her pouring hot water on my lower back while in the birthing pool as I breathed thru the increasingly more intense contractions and thinking clearly "Wow. That feels amazing and I'm so thankful she's here."

I had the best possible home birth experience and I wholeheartedly attribute that to my stellar care team. Jaimee not only supported me physically and emotionally during labor, she assisted in the preparation prior to labor, for example, making a "lasagna bed" and other to-dos for hubby and she helped with the clean up afterwards including treating my linens and starting my laundry. She even made me healing poultice packs and refrigerated them for my after-care. She was an invaluable part of my home birth experience and in hindsight, I wouldn't have wanted to do it without her. Highly recommend. 10/10.

Before hiring Jaimee, I had zero knowledge of what a doula even was. After interacting with her one time, I had no doubt that I NEEDED her to be a part of my home birth. She has such a mothering, gentle, warm spirit and she went above and beyond to make sure that I could really lean on her (literally and metaphorically) during my pregnancy + birth. She provided such loving support for myself, my husband and our toddler during birth. She is certainly serving her life's calling as a doula and she does an EXCELLENT job. Our entire family loves and is so thankful for our Jaimee!

I found Jaimee by a simple google search and it turns out she was the BIGGEST blessing from the beginning to the end. We wanted a holistic approach mixed with a normal obgyn and Jaimee was perfect for the job. When it came time to give birth Jaimee went OVER AND BEYOND. She was so knowledgeable. Did not leave my side. Helped me advocate for myself. Helped educate me. Birthing positions, coping skills, breathing, hand holding, snacks, water.. she was like a nurse but better! LOL trust me when I say you can not afford to NOT hire Jaimee. She is worth every dime & MORE!

Jaimee truly has a calling for this work! My husband and I felt so at home when going to her home for our birthing class. Although we didn't use her for her full doula services this time, we fully plan to next time! If you can't afford to hire her for full time, her class was amazing as well! A worthy investment to learn more about birth and teach hands on techniques. Would recommend her to anyone.

Sometimes people come into your lives when you really need them, and Jaimee was that for me.

Due to my own health risks, from the beginning of my pregnancy journey I knew I would need a hospital birth. I had reached out to a few doulas in our area and none were willing to work with a medicated hospital birth. When I saw the Four States Doula mission statement I knew I had finally found the right person. Jaimee immediately made me feel valid, heard, and most importantly cared for from the moment we met. She helped educate my husband and I for any and all things that can happen during birth. 
In the end, I had to have an emergency caesarean, and because of Jaimee's help and preparation I went into the operation empowered and calm. 
Writing this really even more reminds me of how thankful I am for Jaimee, her kindness and her friendship. Thank you will never be enough.

Jaimee is amazing!! She was our doula for our second birth and helped make it so redeeming. The classes she gives prior to birth are educational, informative and confidence building. Her coaching for the birthing mother and the mother's partner is worth its weight in gold. She works with you and your medical team as a partner and never pushes her own agenda and helps the process stay so peaceful. We would absolutely hire her again for any future births!

We are so thankful that we found Jaimee with four states doula to attend our birth. With her help I was able to have the birth I dreamed of. She was very supportive and nurturing through my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Her pain management techniques and knowledge of birth procedures are very valuable. Having Jaimee as my doula made my birth SO much better! The knowledge she provided during pregnancy helped my husband and I feel so much more prepared & comfortable for birth. During labor and the birth, Jaimee provided the support needed to make everything go smoothly, and after the birth she provided so much support that we didn't even know we needed. All around, our experience with Jaimee was incredible and we highly recommend her for everyone!

My mother in law introduced Jaimee to me and my husband after Jaimee did a class at my mother in law's school, and paid for us to go to one of her classes. We're first time parents so we wanted to make sure we had the most experience we could get before baby girl arrived. We instantly fell in love with what Jaimee could offer us, and we learned so much in such a short amount of time with her, that we knew we had to continue services with her! Throughout the rest of my pregnancy Jaimee gave me guidance and advice and was there as part of my support system and I couldn't have been more grateful for that. She made sure I was educated on all my choices and options regarding prenatal care, as well as labor and delivery. She made me feel prepared and as ready as I could be going into labor and the transition to parenthood. During my labor experience, Jaimee comforted me, assisted nurses and the doctor to make sure I was getting the best care possible. She made me feel powerful and assured me I was doing the best I could do, and motivated me to keep my spirits high  during what was a traumatic birth experience for me. She was also there as support for my husband and my mom, who were in the room with me during labor and delivery. Even after my pregnancy and labor Jaimee continues to be there as a friend, as a mentor, and continues to be a support system for me and my husband. We couldn't recommend Jaimee and her services more and are forever grateful for what she has provided us!

My husband and I got pregnant with our second child after having a traumatic and unexpected csection with my first. We had made the decision to try for a VBAC this time. After hearing so many amazing things about doulas, I researched and found Jaimee! I reached out to her around my 30w point and she was a breath of fresh air! So welcoming, happy, and positive! She helped us talk through our traumatic thoughts and helped us see this birth as beautiful no matter how our daughter came into the world. Knowing that Jaimee was going to be with us every step of the way was like having a weight lifted off of our shoulders. We felt so prepared for the Vbac and also made a c section but plan in case we needed it. We made it to almost 41w and after carefully and prayerfully evaluating our situation, we ended up deciding to go the csection route because my fluids were dropping and we didn't want to end up in an emergency situation. After talking with our doctor, I was in shock because I wanted a Vbac. I immediately called Jaimee who was there for me and my husband as we talked/cried through our new plan. Jaimee helped me realize that I did the best job growing this baby for the past 9+ months and now it was time to welcome her into this world and celebrate her birthday. The next morning, Jaimee met us at the hospital and stayed with us as I got prepped for surgery. As I was wheeled off, she stayed with my husband and kept his mind busy until it was time for him to come into the OR, which for him was the best thing she could have done. 
I pray that everyone can experience and utilize Jaimee, her services and her expertise! I wish that each momma understood that birth is a beautiful moment in time and it can be what you want it to be. If you're hesitant or on the line, please at least give Jaimee a call and visit with her just once to hear how she will most definitely benefit you and your birth!

Jaimee is truly amazing! I believe every woman who brings life into this world would benefit from a doula, and Jaimee is the perfect doula for the job. Jaimee provided me with all the answers to my questions and concerns I might of had about giving birth and being a mom. Jaimee is genuine, understanding, kind, SO LOVING, and gives you the best support during your experience! Also, Jamiee has wonderful prenatal  yoga sessions that will help you to be more relaxed and at peace with any worries you might be dealing with. I could say so many wonderful things about Jaimee and her doula super powers! She is essential for your pregnancy journey!  I will definitely be using her again if I have another baby!

My husband and I met Jamie at a pivotal time! I remember vividly getting into our truck and crying tears of joy because I knew she was the doula for me. My husband was leaving due to the military (6+ ) months and I was so happy that I found someone that I could trust. I had a few bad experiences with the doctor, once I finally got the doctor I wanted that was willing to let me try TOLAC we where so excited!  I went into amost 41 weeks then my doctor was concerned due to my husbands timeframe. We on the other had where not! Plus, in order for my husband to be able to be available via video chat, we had to give them a date so we did. I did a lot of yoga which I love! Jamie always made me feel heard and loved. She showed me how to become an advocate for myself, my children and husband. See she much more than a doula that offers services to me. She is my friend, sister and Auntie Jamie. Delivery Day was Amazing we sung, danced and laughed. She encouraged me and she saw Harlow Grace being born. I'm so thankful for you!!  Your heart for this is nothing I've ever seen! We Love You Jamie!! You Are the Best!! ?

Jamie has been the most loving, kind and generous human I have ever met. The doula experience was absolutely amazing. Me and my husband had lost both of our mothers in the same year.Even though being pregnant wasn't new for me, due to us having a child already. I knew that I needed the experience of a doula for the support that I needed to get though this, but I wasn't really sure where to look. It was as if an angel had come to the rescue, and right on time! She supported us through all of our ups and downs. Not once did she let us down. I can honestly say that she Is the best doula a person can ask for. If you need support, comfort, love, or just a friend, she is definitely all that and more!  Thank you again Jamie for all that you have done!!!!

Jaimee is truly amazing, she has a heart of gold! I contacted Jaimee not knowing what doulas do I was just so desperate to find a new provider in my 3rd trimester I had issues with the ob I had been seeing but I also wanted to have a Vbac. After talking to Jaimee and finding a new provider who supported Vbac I knew I wanted a doula! Due to unforeseen circumstances I did end up having a c-section after a failed tolac but thanks to Jaimee I had a beautiful experience and I was totally at peace with the need for a c-section. Four states Doulas are bringing a huge and overdue change to birth experience in our area! Jaimee encouraged me and empowered me to take charge of my birth, even though it was a c-section I was able to see my daughter being born and was immediately able to do skin to skin for the whole time we were in the OR! Witnessing the OR staff in complete awe that we were able to do skin to skin while they were closing was beautiful and I feel so thankful that I was able to witness a small portion of the changes that Jaimee and all of the doulas at four states doulas are making in our community!

So, I am not a "crunchy" kind of person by nature. I don't really understand essential oils, and I like medication, generally, as my first defense against a headache or allergies. BUT, I was introduced to Jaimee through a mutual friend when I found myself in need of help and support and am SO THANKFUL I was. I had no idea what a doula could mean for a birth. I didn't know they were normally available for hospital births actually. I didn't know that they knew everything about bodily positive feedback, compression when you're anxious or shaking from an epidural, encouragement and direction when you're trying to keep it together during a contraction (or not push because the doctor isn't in the room yet), and a ton more. Jaimee became an instant friend to me and my husband and then our little girl she helped to get earth side, along with the nurses and doc. Although I never seriously considered having a doula or anything of the sort, we have decided we don't ever want to deliver without one again. I highly recommend Jaimee to anyone who's interested in a support during pregnancy and delivery and to those who aren't quite sure but would consider it. Meet her. Ask her what she can do to make the whole process more pleasant and if you've had a hard birth experience previously like I'd had, even REDEEM, labor and delivery. Big claim, but I'm serious. Knowing help like this exists makes me much more comfortable moving forward and Lord willing, bringing more children into our home (though not for a little bit ??).

Jaimee has been a true blessing during my pregnancy and recovery. There was no way to prepare for a pandemic while pregnant, but Jaimee was there every step of the way. She came to our home for comfort measures training, fully masked for our safety, and again after delivery of our son. Even though she was not able to be with us during labor and delivery we felt her presence! Texarkana is truly lucky to have such a knowledgeable, professional, and kind doula. I will forever recommend her to friends and locals looking for excellent care and support for their pregnancy.

Simply put- the universe sent us an angel when we hired Jaimee as our doula. 

I always knew I wanted a doula when it was time for me to have a child, and after finding out I was pregnant in April 2019-- the search for the perfect doula was on! I came across Jaimee and was amazed by all we had in common--but the most comforting was her background in yoga and knowledge about using yoga as an aid in labor and delivery. 

After meeting with Jaimee, my husband I instantly knew she would be the perfect person to have by our side when our baby girl was due in December. Her kind heart and passion for what she does radiate through her personality. 

Flash forward to baby time in December-- Jaimee was by our side the entire way. From the first contraction to the final push we always felt supported with her cheering us on. Having a doula like Jaimee gave my husband and I the ability to focus on each other when we needed to because we knew were in great hands. 

Even after she left for the night we talked about how we don't know how we would have done this without her. She truly made one of the most memorable moments in our life better than we ever could have imagined!

Jaimee is an excellent doula! She made my pregnancy and birthing experience much easier than it would have been without her. This was my first pregnancy  and I didn't feel like I would be surprised or blindsided by anything that came up during the process. She gave me so much information along the way, which contributed to me going into the hospital feeling at ease. She actually gave me massages during labor and that helped take my mind off of my discomfort. After I went home with my baby boy, she called and checked on me periodically and I can honestly say she has become a friend. I have lots of special memories of my birth experience because Jaimee took pictures (at my request) and she got some really good shots! If I could do it all over again, I'd hire Jaimee again in a heartbeat!

When I decided to hire a doula, I honestly did not know what to expect and Jaimee Hunter far exceeded my expectations.  I felt like I had a real advocate during my pregnancy.  She was always there to talk to, encourage me, calm my anxiety about pregnancy and labor, and make me feel like a strong, powerful mama!  

Jaimee goes over and above for her clients, and I could not have felt more supported.  Not only was she a great doula, she also is a certified yoga instructor, and I would frequently practice yoga at her home studio helping with the mind, body and spirit connection I was hoping to achieve during pregnancy.  

Finally when it came to my labor and delivery day, it was so comforting to have her there through the whole process helping me through the laboring and offering different coping mechanisms to manage my pain and discomfort.  Being a first time mom, this was my first time experiencing labor and delivery. The unknown was scary to me, especially for such an important event.  You are often left alone in the delivery room with your significant other or other members of your family, who typically are not medical professionals, and having Jaimee there, with her experience from several deliveries as a doula, helped calm my nerves so I could focus solely on getting in tune with my body and mentally preparing for the birth without worrying about what was happening around me.  

If anyone is looking for a doula in the Dallas area, I give Jaimee 5 stars!  You would not be disappointed.

Jaimee was our doula for the birth of our first child, Mabel. We actually had another doula lined up to help on the big day, but she had another birth that day and Jaimee had to step in with little notice. And I have to say, the minute she walked in to our delivery room, she was a very special, loved member of the team. We've texted and called her several times since the birth of our baby girl, since she feels like part of our family after even a few hours with us.

My wife and I were going for a natural childbirth, and needed the support of someone as talented and loving as Jaimee was for us. When Jaimee walked in the door, my wife was just beginning active labor and needed an expert. Jaimee was just that - she knew just how to help my wife with positions, massages, water therapy, etc. She made us feel very much at ease. And during that phase, she made sure to involve me, intentionally making sure I was a meaningful part of the experience. I'll never forget that. She clearly has the tools to 'take over', but made sure to advise me, so I could be deeply involved. 

I could go through each of the tangible things Jaimee did while my wife was in labor, but it's the intangibles that I'll always remember. I'm not sure how she's able to bring so much passion and caring to people she just met, but she has the ability to help on an emotional level that's difficult to describe. Once you meet Jaimee, you'll immediately see her passion for helping families with one of the biggest moments of their lives. She is truly one of a kind and we'll always be grateful.

If another little one is in the future for my wife and me, we will reach out first to Jaimee to see if she can help us through the process. Jaimee is one of a kind and we'll always hold her in our hearts.

Jaimee stepped in when our original doula was tied up in another birth. She walked in the room like an angel when I was in strong active labor. I had been induced and my contractions were strong and fast. We could not have made it through natural birth without her. She knew exactly how to communicate with me and what to say, which was impressive considering that we had not met before. She helped manage my pain and expectations. Our birth was powerful and beautiful thanks to the role that Jaimee played.

I met Jaimee when I took a class on how to become a Doula and when I soon after found out I was pregnant she was the first person to come to mind when looking for one. She is kind and encouraging. Even though this was my second birth I still had questions. She was always there with helpful tips and advice. She was such a help at the hospital explaining the post baby procedures with an unmedicated birth. At our vist a week later she had kind words and a hug for me a frustrated tiered breastfeeding mother. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. If you are looking for a Doula who has a mother's touch and the advice of a professional she is the Doula for you.

Jaimee was wonderful to have as a support during my labor and delivery. She was our sibling doula for my four and two year old. But not only was she there for us during L&D, but she made a great effort beforehand to get my kids comfortable with her. When my labor wasn't progressing the way I thought it would, she was flexible with what our needs were. My kids loved having her visit them while my husband and I were gone and even three months later still ask when she might visit again.

In addition to being there for my kids, she also was there for me, checking in via phone and text before my due date. During labor she made sure I was taking care of myself and not worrying about my kids.

She was so calm and supportive, with a very reassuring presence. She lifted such a big burden of worry from my shoulders.

Jaimee was my doula during the birth of my first child and i could not have done it without her! She was amazing support and also helped my hisband be a part of the experience. Since it was our first child we were very unsure about what to expect or what to do to prepare and she was a breath of fresh air! She knew exactly what I needed when I needed it and reassured me that I could do this and her attitude was what kept me going. Would hire Jaimee in a heartbeat for any future children we have. Love love love her!

I  blessed to have Jaimee as my doula. It was unexpected due to the fact we had signed up with another doula that unfortunately couldn’t make it that day and Jaimee graciously step in to cover. I had a very long birth and she was there for every minute of it. I felt so loved and supported the entire time. She brought a great calmness to the room and even supported my hubby. She is very knowledgeable and passionate about her job. She has the biggest heart. We are foever grateful for her services and would highly recommend her to anyone.
