I recently gave birth to my first child, and having Mollie as our doula as first time parents was nothing short of amazing!!  She met with us before birth to talk through our birth plan in depth, answer questions, give us information regarding various processes at our neighborhood Kaiser, as well as taught us exercises and referred us to resources to try and turn our breech baby girl.  After birth by c section, Mollie provided postpartum support immediately, meeting us at our apartment right after we left the hospital and staying with us for the remainder of the afternoon to ease our transition home. Afterwards she provided postpartum support for multiple sessions so that I could take a nap, take a shower, make snacks for me, etc.  During these sessions she also would share her seemingly limitless expertise regarding ways to soothe our crying baby, how to swaddle our baby, different breastfeeding positions, etc. as well as answering any and all of the questions my husband and I had!  She shared recommendations for books for further reading and has remained available should we have any more questions and concerns (which, as new parents, I’m sure we will!).  Lastly, she was just a calming and compassionate presence in what seemed like hectic first days for my husband and I transitioning to parenthood.  Anyone would be lucky to have Mollie as their doula!!

My husband and I wanted to share our wonderful experiences with Mollie. We were late in the game on finding a doula and thankfully we connected with Mollie a few weeks before my son's birth (April 2019). I was super awkward during our initial meeting because I didn't know what to do, say or how to act. All I know is within 30 minutes Mollie hade made me feel comfortable, validated and supported. I was very concerned with baby's position, sunny side up, and right away she showed us exercises, positions, shared websites, videos on how to assist in making space for him to shift around. Mollie checked in with us in the weeks preceding his birth and I believe she intuitively knew that I was not one to reach out to the St Luke's hospital midwives because I didn't want to 'bother them' and nudged me reach out to them when I was experiencing odd sensations etc...

My son's birth was nothing like what all the courses had prepared us. I had been leaking amniotic fluids for a good 4 days without signs of labor and was promptly induced once the fluid tested positive. My goal was to have an unmedicated labor and being induced did not sway my resolve for many many many hours.
I don’t know how my husband and I would have managed without Mollie. Throughout the long 24hr+ laboring process Mollie was the support both my husband and me needed. Mollie gently guided my husband throughout the days and gave him the space to feel it out and own all the positive things he was doing to help me. Mollie empowered the both of us.

She helped nudge me to process my birth story, instead of trying to forget what had occurred at the hospital. Weeks after the birth we were still texting and when he surpassed his birth weight many congratulated the baby, but Mollie congratulated me… I had already forgotten that I was the one making this kiddo grow!

In short, Mollie is terrific.

Having Mollie as a doula was an amazing and eye opening experience. Going into having a doula was something I was very skeptical about and ended up choosing to move forward with one a week before my babies expected birth date. After meeting Mollie I was stoked to go through the experience with someone that had known so much about birth and could help in anyway that she could. I had an easy yet intense 3 day labor and Mollie was by my side the entire time pushing me through with her knowledge and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Honestly without Mollie my experience would’ve been tough, I appreciate her hard work and dedication and was so elated I chose to use Mollie.

Having Mollie along for the ride during our second pregnancy was a great experience. In our first meeting, Mollie immediately presented an encompassing knowledge in her calm demeanor, proving that she was a perfect match for us. Throughout our time together she patiently listened to all our questions (you do tend to forget things between births) and walked with us through the process of establishing a new birth plan. During labor, Mollie proved to be a vital part of our team. She was supportive and communicative every step of way. We can't thank her enough for all the care and empathy she showed us.

Mollie was an incredibly knowledgable and supportive doula. She was great with me and with my husband, and when our birth did not go quite as we had hoped, she helped us navigate it and come out on the other side. She has continued to help us process the birth and life as new parents. I would highly recommend Mollie as your doula if you are looking for a doula who will truly partner with you.

I was foruntate enough to have Mollie at the birth of my son. From the get go Mollie was professional, easy to communicate with, knowledeable and took the time to go over, cover and explain different aspects of the birthing process. We met twice before delivery and pre birth she checked up on me and asked me if I had any questions or concerns she could help with and also made note of any concerns or things I wanted to ensure happened or didn't happen at the hospital which I found helpful. Mollie helped with my birth plan and made sure to send me a copy too.

At the birth, Mollie was very hands on and was there for me every minute I needed her from 2am- 8pm- 18 hours..!

I felt more relaxed and at ease just by her presence. While I was in labor and in pain, it was super helpful to have her get me popsicles, explain any medical processes as your brain tends to not work that well when in pain and just be a general advocate for me, helping relay my wishes or remind me of my plan as well as help with positioning in labor and some massage, pressure.

Post delivery she checked up on me to see how I was feeling and even came to visit, where again she was super helpful around the house in such a delicate time.. it was nice to have her presence.

I highly recommend Mollie as Doula and would without a doubt use her again! I am grateful to have had her participate in the beatiful journey to Motherhood!
