I had a great birth experience with doula Kimberly Lewis. She was very knowledgeable and competent. In addition, she cares deeply for the clients she works with and is genuinely interested in providing outstanding care. My son’s birth went incredibly well. I found her to be particularly helpful in strategies for dealing with labor (e.g., Miles Circuit, birthing ball). In addition, she did an excellent job of mitigating the allopathic healthcare system and being a good advocate for me. I highly recommend her to any expectant mother interested in having a wonderful birth experience.

Wow, where do I begin. I am 100% certain if Kymberly was not my doula and not with me on my day of delievery that NOTHING would have went according to my birth plan and desires and instead of a joyful and empowering memory of my baby's birth, I would be feeling defeated & sad like many who become submissive too & intimidated by the hospital system & their policies. Kymberly is incredibly experienced in this role where she is 100% supportive of the mama's wishes and she advocates for them in a smart, strategic and amicable way so that you are happy and the hospital staff is understanding. She allievates the pressure off of the birthing mama to negotiate & demand her wishes so you can fully relax and do what you are here to do: focus on bringing your baby earthside. At the same time, she fully supports your partner during the experience, acting as the glue between the two new parents and helping you navigate this brand new territory that is scary and exciting at the same time with love, ease, and a strong feeling of safety and security. Her presence is grounding, nurturing, reserved, wise, and a beautiful mix of sweet and sassy. She is the best birthing partner and I am so grateful I had her by my side. For knowledge, experience, emotional and spiritual support, Kymberly is your WOMBan ???

Kym is an extremely skilled and experienced doula, especially in cases where mom has experienced birth trauma and/or baby is premature or has special medical needs.  Kym is the most sincere, kind, and non-judgmental person I have ever met;  she asks what your family's caregiving goals and values are and helps you achieve them.  More than just a care provider, Kym is also an excellent sounding board and voice of wisdom to new parents.  She helps build your confidence as a parent and always makes sure dad is fully included!  Kym has been a true blessing to my family, and we consider her family.  Whatever your background or prior birth experiences, Kym will take amazing care of your family!

Our experience with Kym was wonderful. She was always there for us and checked in regularly without ever being annoying or overwhelming. She has a calm and reassuring demeanor. She's also very clear about all decisions being our own and helping us remember that we had to do what was best for us and not anyone else. She helped me and and my partner feel ready for labor and when the day finally arrived she took some of the mental load of being in a hospital from us - even for something as simple as getting from the parking garage to labor and delivery, we were grateful to not have to worry about things like that. She reminded me to keep breathing and helped me with various positions to labor in. She helped me decide whether to get an epidural. I also ended up needing a c-section and really needed/benefited from having someone with a lot of experience to talk the decision through with. In the end, I felt good about how my labor went even though it was not the labor I had hoped for. After delivery, she remained available and present to help us keep perspective as we grappled with all the challenges of being a new parent. I also chose to include massages in my package and am so glad I did! Using one during the post-partum period was also incredibly helpful. All in all, we would gladly recommend Kym to any expecting mom. She was the steady presence that we needed to allow us to just focus on getting a new human safely into the world.

My birth doula remained with me from the beginning to end of the birth, offering relaxing breathing technique, as well as comforting me through labor pains. I was offered massages , and assistance with labor positions with soft blocks and peanut balls. Miss Kymberly was also emotionally reassuring when I was unsure, and encouragement me when I felt exhausted. She provided Information about what's happening during labor and the postpartum period, including explanations of medications...procedures...and how to push. Simply put she was Awesome!!! Doulas bridge the gap between patients and medical staff.

Both my husband and I lost our parents over the course of our dating and married lives. After almost 6 yrs of marriage we learned our family would be growing. It was something we prayed for and as we were planning for this new and exciting journey into parenthood, I was encouraged to get a doula. I was unfamiliar with what a doula was and the value of having one by our side as we got closer to delivery and after.

When I spoke with my OBGYN she told me there was one primary doula she highly recommended that worked well with nursing staff, was an excellent advocate for her patient's birth plan and according to them, she went above and beyond with her nurturing spirit for both mom and dad-to-be. With a recommendation like that, we had to meet her.

On first visit, Kimberly's loving tone and spirit immediately comforted us. Her sound professional approach to communicating how she would work with us, support the preparation for labor, delivery and post delivery process, gave an added sense of peace and signed the contract to work with her.

It's hard to say how priceless Kymberly was to our journey in bringing our little miracle into the world. She answered all calls, checked in regularly and stayed with us for several days when labor pains began. She ensured we didn't go to the hospital too soon and was right there with us at 3am when time came. As promised she advocated for my natural birth plan and comforted me when some things I planned had to take a different turn. The nurses loved her and weren't shy about the fact that wasn't common. She stayed until the baby latched, and after giving us a few days to adjust she came back and stayed with us for another day once home, to help us where she could in the adjustment period.

Auntie Kym was truly a gift from God. Our newest member if the family next to our beautiful baby girl Vivian. She was truly a blessing and we couldn't recommend her highly enough. Forever grateful!

Where do I start ? From the day I met Kymberly ( and I'm a picky person ) I felt comfortable and knew I was in great hands . I have three other children and never used a Doula so I was skeptical . I was like I did this before, why do I need one ? So given this is my 4th and I hired Kymberly I knew it was the right thing to do . I of course still had in the back of my mind ,"I'm ok without her ". The day came for Kymberly to help me with the birth of my daughter . I can't even begin to tell you how she made it not only memorable but enjoyable (yes birth ) enjoyable . From comfort  , checking on me from the day I met her until after my delivery. I highly recommend her and she's the best at massages . I got obsessed and was going weekly and she always accompidated me . Love that lady .

When you're having a baby for the first time, you want to have the smoothest possible pregnancy and delivery journey. Apart from having a strong support system, your quest to find the perfect doula can be nerve-wracking.

After couple visits with my OB/GYN, she referred me to a doula, Kymberly Lewis.  With a great birth experience, here I am to add my high recommendation to her profile!

I invited Kymberly to my place to meet with my husband and I, and more so to see if we 'clicked'. Instantly I knew this partnership would end successfully. The first session was the 'ice breaker' getting to know each other. The second session, Kymberly brought along Jenean Brown, a substitute doula, in the event that she was unavailable for some unforeseen reason. Jenean was very nice. Kymberly gave me some amazing prenatal massages. She thought about everything, from encouraging me to have a birthing plan to checking in every week.

Kymberly came over to my place once I informed her that I was experiencing signs of labor. When she arrived, she started timing the contractions, messaged, and guided me. She was integral in the laboring process as she knew exactly when to advise on going to the hospital. Once warded, Kymberly stayed by my side until the very end (beginning of motherhood). She even brought soothing oils, honey sticks, a speaker for my playlist, and good vibes to the labor/delivery room.

Baby boy was born at 10:42 AM on May 5, 2019 and she stayed until an hour after to ensure that all was well with baby and I. Two weeks after we settled in with baby at home, she made her final postnatal visit to wrap up her 'doulaship' with us. Overall, it would be an honor to recommend Kymberly to anyone who is considering having a doula. She is dependable, experienced, warm and friendly. She truly makes the experience easier and gives you that reassurance you need.

Gratefully Signed,
First Time Caribbean Mom.

Our experience with Kymberly was exceptional. Around the beginning of the third trimester, we found out about the benefits of a doula when attempting a VBAC at a hospital birthing class. Kymberly was recommended by our doctor as the best! From day one, we were able to build a great relationship and consistently get information and resources to help with different issues or questions we encountered. The massage services she provides also helped with correcting some back pain and alignment issues.

Kymberly received a call from me around 3:30 in the morning that my water had broken. She was available over the phone to assist with any questions and ease my fears. At the right time, she came to the hospital and stayed all through the labor process setting a calming atmosphere with dim lighting, essential oils and light music as needed. She also gave the best foot massages, helped me walk and move around to encourage dilation, and kept up with what was going on with the monitor to be able to advocate for me/be educated on progress. Overall, having her there made everything better and more relaxed. Even after 24 hours of no dilation, she was available as we made a decision to have a cesarean. Turns out the umbilical cord was wrapped around our son's neck, impacting dilation and causing a decline in heart rate during contractions. Though I really wanted a VBAC, a cesarean was the right choice in this case. I don't think I would have been able to make the decision as calmly and confidently without her and my husband looking after all the small details.

As for my husband - he was leary on the need of a doula at first, but after all was said and done, he was so glad we invested and would recommend Kymberly to anyone. He said it gave him the opportunity to breathe and participate without having to know everything and do everything - it took a weight off. We highly recommend Kymberly!
