I work on a sliding scale $400-$1500 for birth support depending on where the client feels they fall on the scale. No questions are asked. Katie was amazing to work with. Katie helped guide us to the birth experience we wanted, as best as possible with the normal twists abd turns. Katie educated us about our options and how to talk to our medical team to advocate for what we needed. After our first baby we had such a difficult delivery, that we knew we wanted a strong and compassionate doula to help us through the birth of our son. During the pandemic we were really worried about having our baby without a doula present in person. But Katie did everything virtual and it was incredible how much we felt supported. From FaceTime in the perinatal room, late night texting weeks before our induction, articles to read, and even advice on prepping our toddler for the arrival of her brother. I can't recommend Katie enough!

We are thankful to Katie for all of the support that was provided throughout our pregnancy, during the birth, and afterward.  Katie was very professional, always on time, was an attentive listener and provided lots of helpful links and resources.  They were also very responsive to any questions we had--at any time whether it came by text, email or phone.  Katie was a literal shoulder to lean on during my labor and held me when I cried during some rough moments.  At our first post-partum visit Katie gave some really helpful suggestions for soothing our baby and we've used those tactics every day since!  I also appreciated how Katie actively involved my partner in all conversations, plans, and hands-on practice.  Thank you Katie for helping us during this tender transition time to parenthood!

I am so happy I worked with Katie for the birth of my first child!  My childbirth experience was made significantly better because of Katie’s involvement.  Katie visited with my husband and I at home for two prenatal visits, during which she spent a lot of time determining my goals, what would motivate me, comfort me, etc.  She also shared a lot of helpful insight that helped me anticipate things that happened during labor.  With Katie's help, I was able to achieve an unmedicated birth.  Katie also visited us twice once we were home with the baby, which increased our confidence in taking care of him and understanding some stuff around breastfeeding and sleep.  Above and beyond being knowledgeable and reassuring, Katie is incredibly warm and pleasant to be around.  She really helped me and I would highly recommend her.

My husband and I hired Katie to be our doula for our first baby. From the initial meeting with her, we were impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm for working with pregnant women. I had a very difficult pregnancy in terms of being constantly sick, and Katie was incredibly supportive anytime we spoke.

When we created our birth preferences, Katie offered information and perspectives to consider, but never judged or pushed us in a particular direction. She offered a lot of options for comfort measures as I was hoping for a selivery without an epidural.

During labor and delivery, Katie was with us, totally present and supportive, for what seemed like endless hours (I’m sure most labors feel that way). Multiple members of the hospital staff remarked on how great she was, and I couldn’t agree more. She was calm, soothing, and in a moment where I was starting to feel like I couldn’t go on, she helped redirect my energy and make choices I was really happy with later on.

I would recommend Katie to anyone looking for an excellent support person on their pregnancy journey.

Katie is down-to-earth, spiritual, and super supportive. In addition to cheering me on and calming me down during labor, Katie also decorated my birthing room at the hospital with electric candles and colorful cards, curated playlists of my favorite music and joined me for an early labor dance party, and watercolored beautiful meditation cards for me to focus on during contractions. Whenever I’ve had questions before and after the birth, Katie has not only shared her knowledge but also did thorough research and emailed me useful resources and videos. After the birth, she has continued to work with me as a postpartum Doula, giving me wonderful post partum massage. Finally, I just really appreciate Katie’s feminist, body-positive approach, which helped me feel comfortable in my body during and after birth.

Hello to all whose eyes may happen to glance at this review,

PLEASE DO NOT SKIP, as I'm going to give you the full-disclosure, all-access pass to the first-class trip that is the experience of having Katie as your doula. So, I know it can be really hard to connect with some random stranger that is eventually going to be looking at your goodies, telling you everything is going to be alright, while it's being brutally disfigured. Now, with Katie that awkwardness never has the time to appear. From our very first meeting she was extremely genuine, knowledgeable, and downright down to earth. None of the fake kindness that most people extend pregnant people for fear of that stuy growing on their eye, but all of that we've been friends in another lifetime and I'm 100% here to support you kind of demeanor. When you become a mom almost nothing and no one focuses on just solely you. People even begin to give you gifts for your children on your birthday! Katie perfectly negates all of that by focusing on mommas wellbeing. She always knew just what to say, and provide. When I called or text she was available to be right by my side. Also, if you're not a fan of the regular ol' boring lamaze "you're doing so well" support style (I'm not), she's willing to switch it up, and even make you a kick-a** playlist to get the party started with a nice jamming introduction into the world for baby. (Her taste in music is phenomenal btw;P!ATD fans welcome!!!) I honestly could not have asked for a better doula. Whether I needed ice, a back rub, some tea, aroma therapy, mood music, a hug, a shoulder, even a maid, or someone's fingers to squeeze to death, she was willing and beyond efficient. My experience was one I'll share until I'm old and grey when the details begin to fade away. I no longer see Katie as just an amazing doula, she has become a true friend.
