Where to even begin! Kate is knowledgeable, kind, and so supportive!!! I had to get induced at 40 weeks due to high blood pressure, which is obviously not what I wanted at all but she was there through it all. Constantly checking in on me before I was induced and as soon as I said I was ready for her, she was there. She saved me from pushing for way longer than I would have by suggestiong the flying cowgirl! I tell all my pregnant friends about it! Even after I gave birth she checked in on me and offered some suggestions to help with my PPA. She truly made all the difference in the world for my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We will definitely be hiring her again for our next pregnancy!

Kate was incredibly helpful throughout every step of my partner's pregnancy/labor. Her birthing class was very informative and allowed us to get the knowledge and understanding of things like, breastfeeding, birth plans and our ability to push for consent during labor and birth. My partner went into labor at 2 in the morning and Kate was there at the hospital with 10 minutes of us getting there. She stayed with us the ENTIRE 14 hours of labor and a few hours after that to make sure we didn't need anything else. She followed up with us the next day to check in and see again if we needed anything. Our prenatal visit was cut short because of an issue on our side but the part we did have was great! I would also like to say how AWESOME it was to have all of the pictures and the 3 pages of notes she took of everything that happened before, during and after labor. We are so grateful for Kate being our Doula, we would NOT have been able to do it without her!

For my VBAC I wanted to hire a doula since I knew how awesome of a support they could be through labor and delivery. Before we hired Kate my husband was very skeptical about having someone there since he had done such a wonderful job the first time. I convinced him and when we met Kate during our first prenatal visit she was so warm,  loving and very knowledgeable. I knew then that I would have an amazing support system with her by my side. Throughout my pregnancy she made me feel like my feelings we're valid, and she answered my questions, and pointed me to the resources I needed to make sure I made informed decisions. She went above and beyond our expectations, she helped me ask the right questions and advocate for myself. When we were at the hospital she was so intuitive to what I needed and when I needed it, it's like she could read my mind. Her tender touch relieved my fears and I didn't know this but my husband mentioned that she promoted him to do things for me to make me feel more comfortable like holding my hand or kissing me before I went into the OR. I wanted a VBAC but ended up having a C-Section and because of all the support and love I received I wouldn't have it any other way. Even if you're planning to get induced or are having a c-section like I did, I would still recommend having Kate as your doula because she offers support through it all. She is a treasure and I was so honored to have her at my birth. <3

We were so blessed to have Kate Haylfield as a part of our birth team! Our daughter was born in January, and we can honestly say we had the dream team! Kate was a huge help with the whole process, especially with prenatal support and guidance! With this being our first child, we were quite nervous about the unknown and any questions or concerns we had about the birthing process was answered to calm our fears. Anything we needed during “go time” she was right there to assist especially with relaxation techniques, a light heart, and listening ear while we waited for our princess to make her arrival. I can’t say enough good things about Kate, and if you need a doula, you won’t find anyone better! Thanks for everything Kate!

When my husband and I initially met with Kate, we felt an immediate connection and knew that we wanted her as our doula for our 2nd birth. We were planning an unmedicated natural birth, and it was very important to us to have the right support. Kate has a calming and peaceful presence that helps you open up and discuss your thoughts, fears, and preferences for your labor and birth. She was so helpful in our meetings, giving us evidence-based information as well as pain coping techniques and baby positioning exercises-- showing my husband how he could help me with them. When we started our journey with Kate, we were planning for a hospital birth. When we started thinking about a home birth, she was our biggest advocate and helped us to find the resources we needed to find a provider. She helped us to feel confident about our home birth and checked in regularly as my due date got closer, and then passed  ;) My labor came on VERY quickly, and Kate helped me through contractions over the phone, and brought her wonderful calming presence with her the second she walked in the door-- just in time for the birth! She stayed with us and helped us and our midwife team after the birth as well. We have been so thankful for her.

I do not even have words to describe the service Kate provided my family. I wanted to go all natural with my first baby but I also wanted openness if I would choose to get an epidural. Kate provided that and MORE. She helped me labor at home getting me all the way to 7cm comfortably before going to the hospital to deliver! The techniques she provided to help ease labor pain were amazing. She was there with me through all 17 hours of my labor - including at the hospital. She helped my mother and husband be the best supports by also encouraging them and showing them techniques/massage to help me. Without Kate, there would have been no way I could say that I had my baby naturally - no epidural or any pain medication, no fluids, and the ability to move around and labor as I pleased. I could go on and on about this amazing woman but moral of the story is she will be hired by me for all future babes as I cannot imagine the experience without her.

Kate was such a blessing to have through the pregnancy and birth of my 3rd son. She carries  perfect balance of fun joy and serious knowledge about everything birth babies and motherhood. Already having 2 births I didn't know if I would need a doula, I definitely needed Kate though. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

She provided tips and techniques to prepare me and my husband for the birthing process, more so than my doctors office (who I also think very highly of) has. With Kate's stretches I felt like my body was more prepared to bring my baby into the world.

She was so open and understanding to all of my birthing requests and desires. She always let me know what my options were but was very respectful about what I was comfortable with, what I wanted for the birth of my child. 

At the hospital she was a breath of fresh air as we waited for the main event. She kept my husband and I both grounded and even cheery at a fairly anxious time for us. She helped me to move about the room and maternity floor continuing to prepare my body for my delivery. 

She truly shared the joy of our growing family and showered each one of us with her love. Kate truly lends all of herself to her mothers, babies, births, and families and it can be felt throughout the whole process. You may be on the fence about needing a doula, but I can assure you that you need Kate.

From the very first meet you told me to search around before deciding who I wanted to be my Doula. Sorry but I never listen. I knew from the start you were who I needed to help me achieve my homebirth. You were the one who I knew could handle me in my most vulnerable state. I am one of the most stubborn independent people I know and those traits shown through during labor and you always knew what to do even when I didn’t. When I said I can’t for the thousandth time you kept reassuring me that I could. You made sure Logan stayed calm and told him what to do when I needed it. I couldn’t have imagined doing this without you. I hope your kids know just how amazing their mommy is! Thank you for being my strength, thank you for pretending with Logan that we were gonna make it to the hospital and get that epidural lol! It made the pain reside for those last few minutes which was what I needed before the finale. You carry your weight in gold and I wish I was going to have more babies so that you could be my Doula again! You have the most pure soul Ive ever met. I wish you all the success in the world You deserve!

I am so happy we had Kate at our doula. She was so calm and supportive during the birth of daughter. While we had planned for a hospital birth, baby came very quickly while we labored at home and ended up being born in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. Kate helped my husband and I stay calm as labor progressed. Kate is a wonderful doula and she comes 100% recommended from this mom!
