Short version: Becca is an absolutely fantastic doula. We recommend her highly and with reservation.

Full version: We met Becca through the Pump Station in Santa Monica. We had no question she was the doula for us--even over zoom it was clear that she was a warm, kind, gentle, and competent person who would be perfect for guiding us through some challenging and beautiful life moments. Becca met with us twice before our daughter was born. She shared many recommendations for how to navigate the birth process. She asked us what we wanted for the birth of our daughter, helped us understand what to expect, and didn't judge any of our choices.

Unfortunately, the doctors needed to induce Sarah three weeks early. This threw a wrench in our plans, but Becca was there for us. She provided counsel throughout the process, and, when Sarah went into active labor, Becca arrived to be by our side bringing beautiful lights and relaxing scents, helping us feel supported and as calm as can be expected under the circumstances. She coached Sarah through pushing, advocated for Sarah with the medical team, and encouraged Dan as he supported Sarah.

Once we went home with our daughter, Becca joined us to help us acclimate to caring for a newborn. She helped us learn how to soothe her, strategized with us about breastfeeding challenges, and gave us a chance to sleep. Now, almost two months after Becca finished her work with us, we remark often to each other how grateful we are to have had Becca those first few weeks following our daughter's birth.

Becca was wonderful to work with, I highly recommend her. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and was very willing to work with our plan. It was such a relief to have someone with her experience and expertise advocate on my behalf and be there for additional support. Thank you again, Becca!!

Having Becca as our Doula was a wonderful decision. Even though we had decided to give birth in a hospital, we were still nervous about the birthing process. Having Becca explain our options and having her relate her past experiences was very comforting to both of us. Becca has a serenity about her that was able to soothe our anxieties. All of her services are important, but I especially liked having her be available to come to the house when labor begins to progress steadily. For us it happened during the middle of the night, and Becca came to our house at 2:30 am and then we went to the hospital at 3am. Having her around was such a great experience. We had gone over our birth plan with her, and we knew if/when we forgot something in the stress of the moment, she would step in to remind us and the hospital staff. In addition to all of the emotional support she also had the time to set up mood lights in the hospital room, all in all she went above and beyond in order to make us feel as calm and comfortable as possible. We will never forget her effort in getting us to a wonderful place for the birth of our daughter. Thank you!

Thank goodness Becca was there!! I had a very relaxed, comfortable labor and Becca's presence was very calming and supportive. We ended up with an unplanned home birth thanks to precipitous labor - that means the baby came so fast, we just didn't make it out the door! Technically this was considered an "unassisted" birth but that word doesn't feel right because Becca was absoultely indispensible in guiding my partner in catching the baby, telling us how to keep the baby warm, and helping us get to the hospital stat! We were all giddy with excitement after such an incredible birth, so having her there to share in the immediate joy was also a form of support. It was honestly the most perfect birth possible, and we are so grateful that Becca was there to help make it so. <3

As first time parents we were bursting at the seams with excitement to meet our daughter, however we were equally nervous as we wanted to do everything right. Becca was our guide, she met with us for a lovely brunch before baby was born and she was our night nurse for 2 months. She was amazing, gracious and had a very calming presence. She cared for our baby with the type of tenderness you rarely find in people other than the baby's parents. I can't recommend her enough. When you have a baby, I learned, that you meet so many people for just a fleeting moment but these key people, such as Becca, are forged into your passage to parenthood forever. Thank you Becca for everything!!

My husband and I loved working with Becca. She was patient and compassionate. When we met, she asked us many questions about our priorities and was open to working with whatever birthing style we wanted (e.g. hospital, epidural). During my very long early labor, she was available by phone and in-person. As first-time parents with no family in the area, we felt calmed and supported by her knowledge and presence. My early labor lasted over 24-hours, and it was very helpful to know when it was still ok to be home and when to go to the hospital! She met us at our home and traveled to the hospital when we left. She held my hand for three hours of pushing and giggled with joy with me at the silly faces made by my newborn. Ahead of time, I had requested the labor and delivery room lights be low, and she brought string lights and LED candles. We would definitely recommend Becca to any expecting parents. You will be in good hands!

Becca was an absolute gift for us the first four months of our son's life. We had a preemie baby with some specific challenges, and Becca handled him with great care and expertise. Her positive and calm energy were soothing to us as new parents, and we always looked forward to her visits. She was always ready to help us with basic parenting things (baths particularly), but also able to give suggestions/recommendations when needed. I really appreicated that she gave her advice in a very non-judgemental and balanced way, and only when solicited. Not only was she great with our son, she brought us really delicious homemade food, helped with basic household chores, and offered guidance for my post partum recovery. Becca was really reliable, communicative, and relatable; hiring her was absolutely one of the best choices we've made since our son was born!

I don't enough words to express how much I loved working with Becca as our Doula. From our first phone interview I knew she was a going to make a great addition to my birth team. Honestly she was probably the most important person of all during my birthing experience. She reassured me when I was feeling insecure about things, and was extremely hands on when I needed the most support. She was my saving grace and her confidence allowed me to surrender to the natural birth experience that I wanted. Without her I don't think I could have done it. Her support allowed me to step into my power to birth my baby confidently and I am so grateful we found her. We love you, Becca!

Recomnded by a good friend, then used a month before fo another- Becca felt like she was Universe sent. From our first contact onward (still today) Becca has been an excellent correspondent, answering promptly and thoughtfully for all range of questions, worries, or general well-being check-in's. She really feels) like a close confidant and being open and vulnerable with her came easy. My husband and I were looking for a doula that could help us combat our need to "be nice" at the hospital and who could help us labor at home as long as possible. Our first meeting was very in-depth, Becca's demeanor was soft but confident and we felt as though all of our needs were heard and could be met. She was also excellent at sending research surrounding any questions/concerns I had about labor issues, bodily hurts, etc. Including scientific research and more "doula-ish" things too. Our second in-person meeting allowed us to see the more "take charge" version of Becca's personality, her perfect use of commands and firm touch really helped my husband and I get a feel for what working with her day of might be like, we were pumped to know that not only is Becca soft and calming, but she also has the ability to switch to a strong, action oriented demeanor. The night of our birth, Becca was able to stay focused on me despite a humping labradoodle, my mother’s intense gaze, and my swiftly switching moods. We labored at home for many hours, she kept me hydrated, talked me through my fears, sang PINK at the top of her lungs with me- and then when it was time to go she calmly got me in the car and followed behind. When we arrived we hit a few hospital hiccups and a bodily one, it CRUSHED my confidence and fire and Becca grabbed my hand tight, put her forehead on mine, reminding me of my strength and keeping me in my power. I had thought birth, would be about my husband and I, but found what I really needed was sisterhood and I found that with Becca. Wish I had more space!

My husband and I decided we wanted to work with a doula because we wanted additional emotional support throughout labor and delivery. I was looking for someone to help me relax, give me words of encouragement and act as another "set of hands" so my husband could enjoy the birth experience as well. We are so grateful to have worked with Becca! From the get go we adored her energy. She made us feel calm, supported and heard right away. We met twice over the phone and once in person before delivery. She was extremely helpful and provided us with all of the resources we needed, including links to birth videos, articles, handouts, etc. to make us feel as prepared as possible. My main goal for the hospital was to feel relaxed and comfortable in my room. We received so many compliments from hospital staff on how calming our room was. Becca brought twinkle lights, tealight candles, relaxing music, etc to put me at ease. She knew exactly what to say to make me feel confident and calm. I am so glad we found Becca. She truly made our birth experience.

One of the best decisions we made for our baby was hiring Becca to help bring her into this world.

First time mom here. I gave birth to my little nugget in the middle of the pandemic, and I was nervous about everything that lay ahead - labor, the birth, pain management, hospital protocols, you name it. There were some twists and turns while I was pregnant that led to some unexpected circumstances. I was so anxious about it, and Becca really supported me through it all. It was an immense relief knowing that she was on my team.

During our prenatal visits, she walked us through different pain management techniques and positions. She answered all of our questions (and we had many!) and really listened to what we wanted. She helped me craft a birth plan that reflected exactly what I wanted. The hospital staff was very impressed with how knowledgeable I was about the different options available.

Becca knew exactly what I needed. She transformed a sterile hospital room into a warm, cozy, relaxing birthing space. I felt so at ease knowing she was on my team.

Becca has a sweet, calming demeanor - exactly what you want when your mind is racing and contractions begin. She was so attentive and anticipated our needs, both mine and my husband's. Whether it was a fan, calming mist, fairy lights, birthing ball, Becca came prepared for all eventualities! She was absolutely incredible, I could not have asked for a more positive and caring birth experience.

I am so grateful to her, so lucky that she was on my team. When my baby decided it was time, the space was calm and peaceful. My baby came into this world quickly and without complications, and Becca played an invaluable role in that.

I would recommend Becca unreservedly.

Becca provided overnight postpartum doula services for me, starting my first night back from the hospital! She was extremely caring and gentle with our premature newborn. She was also very kind in asking how I was feeling postpartum and checking in on my healing. I would absolutely hire her again!

My husband I felt instantly comforted meeting Becca for the first time and we felt confident she would be a great doula for our first time birthing experience. Her gentle guidance and strong advocacy for our family decisions was exactly what my husband and I needed. Becca came to our house and walked us through every step of the laboring process. Being that I had to be alone for every doctors appointment during the pandemic, it was amazing to have Becca guide both my husband and I, which provided a sense of togetherness. Although my birth preference did not happen as planned, Becca was so quick to respond to all my needs and questions. When Becca arrived at the hospital I was soothed immediately and knew that I had someone who could provide comfort and support every step of the way. She thought of every detail possible, and created a relaxed and comforting atmosphere. She stayed overnight in the hospital and was available to me every time I opened my eyes and needed water or a snack or just had questions and concerns. It's important to feel connected and safe with a doula as they join you in the most vulnerable experience of your life, and I am so grateful to have had Becca join our family for this defining moment. She felt like family as she braided my hair, gave me water, comforted me and held my body while I pushed. I will never forget how Becca supported us, and hope she will continue to see our daughter grow.

Having Becca with us throughout the pregnancy, labor and delivery journey was so essential and assuring.  Her balance of providing a nurturing presence as well as information, education and advocacy really helped us to embrace our own vision for the birthing process.  She was an amazing and dedicated support and advocate, always available and on call to us to help us plan, prepare and ease our anxieties along the way.  Speaking as the support partner and future dad, Becca helped me to realistically envision the entire process, helped me feel confident in my role and support, and most importantly, she helped me feel safe and reassured.  The moment Becca walked into our delivery room her presence changed the whole atmosphere and brought such a comforting confidence to us.  As someone with a history of trauma and fear surrounding the birthing process I cannot stress enough how essential and special having Becca with us was. She filled a deeply needed role in our family and we are so grateful to have gone through our journey with her.

Becca was absolutely amazing as our postpartum night doula! As a first time mom, I did not know what to expect when I came home from the hospital and was incredibly overwhelmed. Knowing we had Becca there to help us through this big life transition made my husband and I feel so much better. Becca's kind nature and calming presence made us feel incredbly comfortable with her and also made us feel less stressed. When she would walk in our door at 9pm every night, we would breathe a giant sigh of relief knowing we could get some sleep and our little nugget was in the best hands. She had a way of talking to me every night when she arrived that made me feel less overwhelmed about the emotions and overall transition to motherhood that I was experiencing. She also made sure to listen to all my concerns and questions regarding the baby each night and offer great ideas/advice/thoughts on what to do. She arrived every night with a warm smile on her face and she felt like another member of our family. She helped my husband and I get some rest in those early weeks of parenthood so we could wake up every morning and be the best version of ourselves for our new son. Becca would arrive at the beginning of each week with home cooked snacks and meals. The food was absolutely delicious, healing, and helped take some of the stress off of having to cook. She also genuinely loved our son and would love to hear updates each night on what he did that day. It was so fun to see someone care so much for my son and know that he was taken care of with so much love and warmth. We do not know how we would have survived those first few weeks of parenthood without Becca!! She was more than I could have ever hoped for from a postpartum doula!

As first time parents, birth was unnervingly initimdating. But Becca was an absolute pleasure to work with. Pre-labor, she demystified the many questions we had about the birth itself.

During labor, she held our hands – literally and figuratively – through the process. We called Becca after 12+ hours in labor, when our doctor had put the possibility of a c-section on the table. Becca's calm, supportive energy helped us focus and ultimately deliver naturally.

We highly recommend Becca – a lovely person and excellent doula!

Becca was an integral part of my birthing team. She worked with us during my pregnancy to get to know my birthing preferences, create an awesome birth plan (the hospital staff loved our format), provided me evidence based information about concerns my doctor had, and help us practice different techniques we would use during labor. Becca was there every step of the way and has a very calm and supportive presence. She helped me to focus on the big picture when things didn’t go according to my plan and Becca reminded me of the small details that make a huge impact when I was overwhelmed. Not only does she understand how labor will progress and helps with comfort positions and movements, but she also understood the importance of more subtle things like cuddling with my partner. In the words of Becca, “everything that got the baby in there will help get the baby out”. When my labor was getting towards the end and things were becoming very intense it was Becca’s calm voice that helped to keep me grounded. She helped to slow moments down so that I could have the labor that I wanted, when the nurse had my laying down on the bed to start pushing Becca ask me if I wanted to push on my side, which is what I had wanted I just forgot during all the excitement. It was these reminders that allowed me to have the birth that I planned. Becca stayed with me after the baby was born and helped us get settled in recovery. I would not have had the unmedicated birth in a hospital that I wanted if it wasn’t for Becca, she prepared us with all the tools we needed to be successful and then helped us implement them when we were overwhelmed. Overall, she is a great doula and any birthing person would benefit from having her on their birth team.

Becca was absolutely amazing! I’m so grateful she was part of our birth team. I was connected to her through our hypnobirthing teacher and it was important to me that she was familiar with those tools. She has the most calm and loving energy which was exactly perfect for the 30 hours of labor I experienced.
As my due date approached she consistently reached out to check in to see how I was doing and feeling, and she has done the same in the following weeks since our baby arrived as well! As soon as I told her we were heading to the hospital when I started having contractions she said she was on her way too and she was by our sides the entire time. She helped us look at all sides of the situation when we needed to make decisions about certain things that came up during labor that we were unsure about. She was amazing at helping me breathe through contractions and did whatever she could to keep me as comfortable as possible from feeding me ice chips to rubbing my back and feet and so much more.
Becca is incredible and I recommend her to everyone considering having a doula by their side. Her love and support throughout the entire time is so genuine and beautiful! Not only was it amazing for me but the constant support she gave my husband was so helpful and appreciated by us both. Thank you so much Becca, I cannot thank you enough!

Becca Roth was my birth doula in a hospital delivery.

She met me and my partner at our apartment when I started feeling the contractions, folowed us to hospital and stayed there with us until after the baby was born.

Becca's calm and strength helped me go through a very painfull and unmedicated labor.

I'm specially thankfull for the way she was able to follow my lead during the hole process, not interfering or judging my options, but fully supporting me.

I believe that her presence and effort were indispensable to allowed me to go through a natural labor in a hospital environment.

I highly recommend Becca's birth doula services.

I recently gave birth for the first time, and I am so happy that I hired Becca Roth as my doula.  I had a very long labor and somewhat difficult birth, and Becca was there the whole time keeping me comfortable and calm.  She seemed to anticipate my needs, and her positive attitude helped me through the challenging moments.

I highly recommend Becca to anyone who is thinking about using a birth doula.  My birth experience ended up being such a positive and empowering experience due to the support I had around me.

We were Becca Roth’s very first clients. However, if you would have been present at our child’s birth
you would have never guessed. She treated her job with the utmost professionalism from day one. She
researched everything we asked that would be notable peculiarities of western child-birth practices, of
which, there were many. For one we had a water birth, which meant there was absolutely no drugs
administered during this process, not to mention, hypno-birthing classes and a regiment of health specs
that had to be passed in order to qualify. Becca attended every class with us, as well as, the hospital
walk through, and took diligent notes throughout each step. During the birthing process, Becca was
present and engaged from the moment we called her to inform her of the beginning of labor through to
the very end of the 15 hours required to give a natural birth in water. She assisted in the check in
process, tub assembly, and held my wife through moments of pain that I (as the husband) could not
even bare to witness. She was a champion. She doted on the mother’s every need to the point of
holding her up when her knees were about to buckle. She kept her at optimal temperature by
administering soothing water on her back and neck and ice chips when requested. Her assistance went
above and beyond, and was so valuable, I would not dream of ever doing this without the assistance of a
doula. After having Becca present at our first birth, she is absolutely, 100% going to be the first person
we think of for the 2 nd (should that day come). She is worth her weight in gold and is sure to be a
calming, and stabilizing force, to assist you through your birthing experience.

Becca was such a gift to our entire prenatal and birthing experience. I was her first birthing experience and as our doula she was absolutley incredible!  In our first meeting she was very caring, professional, attentive and a great listener. Her passion for helping women and children shows in her whole being.

We discussed my birthing plan, she did research for me to help me gain resources and was truly present. She even took the time out of her day to come with me to my hypnobirthing classes and check in with me regularly. During my labor her sweet gentle spirit was a powerful support. At the hospital she was there as our Doula and advocate. She held me through every breath and I couldn't believe the stamina and strength she had throughout the whole experience. There was a point; I remember where my entire body weight was on her and I felt bad but just couldn't move! Her smaller frame, legs shaking from holding me in the same position for minutes at a time. Maybe even an hour! My husband had moments where he felt overwhelmed and helpless from watching me go through pain and not being able to help it go away. Becca was there and reassured him that everything was going great.

Having Becca as our Doula was an invaluable experience we will always remember with gratitude and joy. As our doula she helped us have the waterbirth we desired and gave birth to the healthiest and happiest little girl.

We highly recommend her and will have her as our doula again for our second baby.

With great love & respect,

Hiring Becca to be our Doula was one of the best decisions we made in bringing our little one into this world! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable but she truly cares about what she does, which really reflects in her work.

Becca was very supportive and helped me feel empowered the weeks leading up to my due date. She respected our wishes and helped me create a beautiful space in the hospital, that was even better than I had envisioned. Becca is a beautiful and nurturing soul and any mother would be fortunate to have her on their birthing team.
