We had our first child in April of 2023. As first time parents, we had lots of questions and we weren't even sure what we did not know. This created some trepidation and uncertainty. Lora was a steady presence and wealth of knowledge for us.

Meeting Lora for the first time, we had a comfortable feeling come over us. It felt like Lora was there for us to whatever extent we needed. Whether answering the easy first-time parent questions or bringing up post-partum care so that we could think about that before we were in the middle of it, we always felt ready and able with Lora's help.

We could not recommend Lora enough. From early pregnancy to postpartum, Lora took great care of our family. Thank you Lora!

Lora was extremely helpful at my birth and throughout my pregnancy! She did a great job with keeping in touch and providing resources. She is great at communicating as well. During my birth at the birth center she was there for about every contraction providing counter pressure and emotional support. She was also helpful with directing my mom and husband with ways they could help me during labor. My husband was even able to take a much needed nap while she stayed with me. She was also super helpful during the postpartum visit. She cleaned our apartment, prepared food, and watched our baby while I took a nap. We were also able to FaceTime her for help when we were having trouble getting our baby to latch. Overall lora helped me achieve the birth I wanted by providing me with a lot of helpful information and advice.

Working with Lora was the biggest blessing as we welcomed our third baby! For our first meeting, Lora spoke with me on the phone for over an hour before our family even met her. I knew by our conversation, meeting with her, and her interactions with our two toddlers that she would be the perfect fit. Lora is organized, caring, and willing to do whatever moms need her to do. She cared for our toddlers and newborn, prepped veggies and meals, cleaned, and seemed to find any little task to make my life as a postpartum mom easier. She would check in on me during the days she wasn't at our home, gave us numerous resources for postpartum care, and was able to ask questions that I hadn't even thought of. Even with all of the tasks she helped us with, her first priority was my postpartum health and wellness in both body and mind. We are so grateful for her time. I've told numerous friends "you need our Lora!"

Lora was so awesome to work with, it was such a privilege to have her by our side. Being new parents we wanted all the help we could get. We felt super equipped with all the resources she provided us and felt at ease for the arrival of our babe with her help along the way. She checked in regularly throughout the whole process to make sure I felt heard and understood. It was super helpful going over our birth plan together and having her input. During the birth her encouragement, touch and expertise  was so appreciated. My husband loved having her guidance and that they were able to work as a team when my labor started. She also got some amazing shots of the birth that I will always cherish! Lora was always prompt about getting back to us in a timely manor throughout the duration we had together. Postpartum she checked in and made herself available to help with what she could and it was so nice having an extra set of hands with us not having family in town. I would highly recommend using Lora's services, the peace of mind having her by your side is imperative and you'll also gain a friend.

Having a baby for the first time can be a daunting task. Hiring Lora was the best thing we did for this experience. Lora helped us prepare for labor in many ways by giving us educational tools, coaching us through labor, and helping us create our birth plan. She has a calm demeanor, gentle heart, and will ensure your birth plan is followed. Lora will be your advocate and by the end of this process, she will become your friend. We will be hiring Lora to be our doula for every single child we have. She is a God send.

I cannot begin to put into words what a blessing and answer to prayer Lora was, but I will do my best! My husband and I hired Lora for the birth of our first baby, who was due and born December 2019. Upon reading the Natural Hospital Childbirth and Birth Partner books, we decided wanted as natural a birth as possible to give our baby the best outcomes, only using interventions if deemed medically necessary for safety, and the evidence suggested that a doula would be helpful. We also hoped to find a doula who shared our faith and would be able to pray for and with us. Upon our interview with Lora, we knew right away that she was the perfect fit for what we needed.

Lora emanates peace and calm, both of which very important in labor as well as in the months leading up to it. She provided lots of evidence-based information to help us be prepared in knowing what we wanted. She asked questions to understand us as individuals and a couple, so she could know how best to support us and meet our needs.

I had hoped for a birth center birth, due to some anxiety I have with hospitals, but due to finances we had to go with the hospital. Lora helped us think of ways to make the room as comfortable and homey as possible. I had a long labor that went through the night into the morning, all while being very sick. Between the support of Lora and my husband, I was still able to stick to our birth plan and have a natural birth. I know if it hadn't been for Lora, that probably would not have happened.

Her postpartum care also made such a difference in my recovery time. She helped with practical tasks, as well as talking through and processing the experience as wanted.

My husband and I have both said that hiring Lora was one of the best investments we could have possibly made. She definitely helped give our family our best start, and I give her my absolute highest recommendation!

We are so thankful for Lora. She helped me to unveil the birth I one hundred percent wanted alongside my midwife! She is very respectful of your wishes and makes sure what you say goes! Lora talked to my husband and mom making sure they were in the loop and educating them in new ways to support me. She is educated in many different techniques. Lora helped me get through labor in so many ways, the most special was making sure I was number one ?? God truly blessed us with her, we have gained a life long friend and advocate-if you're going to hire a doula-hire Lora! You won't be disappointed ♥?

After our first birth, we knew we wanted to hire a doula for our second birth. Lora was a great source of support during my long labor ending with a c section. She provided lots of comfort measures and was able to give my husband and myself good advice. I enjoyed having Lora come postpartum. It was nice to be able to talk through the birth and she helped out around the house while I rested. We would very much recommend hiring Lora as a doula.

My journey with Lora, began when I was pregnant with my second child. I had hired a doula for labor and delivery and my doula was discussing a postpartum plan with me. She mentioned that postpartum doula services would be a good fit for my projected needs; however, she was unable to provide those services herself, at that current season in her life. I asked for recommendations and Lora came highly recommended. I also remembered reviewing Lora’s professional scope on the Doula Network of Fort Wayne, with familiarity. I consulted with Lora over the phone and invited her to connect in person, to see if this type of service would be a good fit. It was. Lora has an extremely welcoming and sensitive spirit. She is an excellent listener and goes the extra mile for mom and baby. She is a helpful combination of flexibility and structure, which allowed for much to be accomplished, even as a circumstance changed. Although task oriented, Lora takes the time to pause with you, making sure your heart and mind are getting the nourishment they need. When I think back on my experience postpartum with Lora, and what stood out most to me, was, “her willingness to serve.” She’s also able to whip up tasty food! She truly thinks of everyone and everything. Punctual and professional. Great heart. A postpartum doula, and specifically Lora, was the best “self-care,” investment. Highly recommended.

As both a birth and postpartum doula, Lora was a Godsend! During the birth of my baby, she was there every step of the way. She offered encouragement, support and creative suggestions without being pushy and went the extra mile during my long labor. Having her there was also very helpful when my husband needed an extra pair of hands and also a moment to rest. Plus it was a wonderful surprise to come home to a tidy house! Afterward, she was extremely helpful with running errands, housekeeping, organization, meal prep and advice which allowed me to recover and focus on my baby. My husband also felt that she is trustworthy, reliable and that her services were worth every penny.

Lora was my postpartum doula when I gave birth to my son. I can not say enough amazing things about how great it was to have Lora in my home during this transitional period. Lora prepared healthy snacks for me which was very important in my breastfeeding journey, did light housework including laundry, and held baby for me so I could take a shower and just have a few minutes of "me" time. I will never forget my time with Lora during those first days as a new mom. If you are on the fence about needing or wanting a postpartum doula and are considering Lora, DO IT!! You will not be disappointed and you dont realize how much you need her!
