Heather truly made all the difference in my 2nd pregnancy and birth experience! I’ll always be grateful for her. She has such a calming and grounding presence and is immensely supportive. My first birth experience was traumatizing and we wish we could have had her back then. With Heather’s support, my second birth was healing, beautiful, and empowering. And I got an epidural! I’ll always appreciate her attentiveness, she was quick to catch things and speak up for what I needed and wanted during my labor, and read me so well. She is very responsive and had amazing tips for my comfort and concerns throughout my pregnancy/birth. She’s the perfect person to process everything with afterwards. Having a doula may seem like an extravagant expense, but I cannot stress enough how immensely worthwhile and important it will be to have Heather there with you! Give yourself this gift. Thank you, Heather!! ??

My husband and I were skeptical about hiring a doula for many reasons (are they really helpful, financial, would they push their own agenda, etc.) but after our initial meeting with Heather, all of our concerns melted away. At our prenatal appointments, Heather gave us extremely valuable information and exercises to ease our minds and my body before labor. We were going in for an induction and she had us call the night before so we could go over everything we may expect the following day. As simple as that sounds, heading into the induction we felt extremely confident that no matter what we were faced with we had the information to make the best decisions for our family. That was just the tip of the iceberg. Heather’s presence at our baby’s birth is the main reason we recommend hiring her as a doula. She knows how to lighten the mood with her humor but can switch to serious when needed. She doesn’t have a problem with speaking up so we have all the necessary information while also encouraging us to ask questions. Our baby ended up staying in the NICU a few days and Heather came back to the hospital to check in with us, go over our birth experience and was a welcomed distraction from our current situation. My husband and I both felt completely supported by Heather at every stage of our labor and delivery.

Heather was exactly the down-to-earth, knowledgeable support I needed! She was there with us throughout my two day labor, keeping me focused and laughing! She helped bring my sweet baby boy into this world and I'm forever grateful!

Heather was an invaluable part of our birth team and I'm SO happy and grateful that she was our doula. Heather is positive and encouraging and has a very grounded energy. During our pre-birth meetings she listened with care and asked the right questions to help me feel mentally prepared for birth. During our birth Heather was just amazing! She stayed present and by my side through a loooong all night and into the next day. We were planning a home birth and ended up transferring to the hospital, and Heather was with us the whole way through. She was wonderful in both settings and was a huge part in what was a very positive birth experience, despite things not going as planned. She somehow kept her positive attitude and sense of humor through the whole process. She let me squeeze the heck out of her hands, helped throw together my hospital bag (she remembered snacks!) and was by my side during just about every dang contraction. She has so much knowledge and wisdom regarding birth and babies. She is patient and non judgmental. Even my super opinionated toddler loved her! If I were to have another baby I would book Heather immediately!

When I asked my midwife if she’d recommend I hire a doula, she said “for a first birth, in my opinion, a doula is completely essential”.
And I’m so glad I followed her advise. Even more than that, I’m so glad that Heather was the one I found to hire and have a part of my team. She was incredible!
She added valuable knowledge and support to my experience that I really needed being a first time mom.
The two prenatal visits she offers were like mini childbirth education classes. By taking the time to listen to our expectations and fears, Heather helped make sure we felt ready for our birth experience.
During labor, she was readily available by phone call and text and was able to answer all my questions and concerns, setting my mind at ease.
I truly feel like Heather was that person in my corner all day long, cheering me on and believing in me when I stopped believing in myself. She normalized each part of labor and always made me feel safe and respected with her support.
She is realistic in her approach to offering advise and options, she didn’t candy coat anything for me, but was honest and kind without judgment. Heather has a high level of professionalism while also cultivating a real sense of friendship.
Overall, I truly believe without her involvement I wouldn’t have been successful at the fully unmedicated birth experience I had planned and wanted. Her presence and expertise was invaluable! And we are very grateful for her!!

My husband and I feel like we hit the lottery in having Heather as our birth doula for our first baby. As a high risk pregnancy, I had a lot of questions and challenges along the way and a whirlwind birth and postpartum experience that Heather helped us through every step of the way. Heather is not only a very knowledgable and competent advocate, she's also a passionate person to have in your corner when things get chaotic, even in a pandemic. We heard doulas could be helpful but we can't imagine this journey without her support and strongly recommend her services to anyone on their birthing path. You won't regret the investment and your spouse will thank you later for setting you both up for success.

I'm so happy my husband and I decided to use Heather as our Doula. My husband was skeptical, having never heard of a doula before but Heather was so patient and understanding. She made sure to thoroughly answer all of his questions not moving onto the next until she felt he no longer had concerns. Trust me, he had a lot of questions! Heather assured me that i could have the birth experience I wanted, free from judgement if I decided to get an epidural or other medical intervention. This was really important to me because being a first time mom i didn't know what to expect and didn't want to feel any type of pressure. Throughout getting to know Heather she made me feel confident, empowered and strong. I know that is why i was able to go through with having an unmedicated birth. My husband and I both agree there's not a single thing we would change about our birthing experience, it was amazing. That is absolutely because we had Heather on our team! She was personable, flexible with meetup times, knowledgeable and willing to advocate for me. I can't thank her enough!

We decided to hire a doula because our first birth was a C-section, and my OB told me I wouldn’t be able to have a vaginal birth, but with Heather we had a successful VBAC! She came to our home when I felt It was time to go to the hospital and encouraged me to continue laboring at home. She was with me every moment; helping me through the contractions, suggesting different positions, stretches and exercises to help move labor along, and just rubbing my back when I needed it. Without her I don’t think I could have physically or mentally lasted that long without rushing to the hospital and begging for the epidural.
In the delivery room she was our constant, bringing us back to our plan, making sure we were confident in every decision we made, and that we were not being pressured into anything. With her caring, confidence, and knowledge I always felt assured and actually excited (believe it or not) throughout this excruciatingly long and painful experience. No feelings of dread and hopelessness as it was with my first delivery. I am very thankful for Heathers services, I looking forward to having her assistance again, and I recommend for all women to have a doula present at their birth!

My husband and I didn’t want too many people in the delivery room, but we still wanted support so we decided to have a doula. Heather was a great addition to our birth plan. She’s so personable and comfortable to be around and, most importantly, she’s very knowledgeable about the entire birthing experience. Should we decide to have a second child I’d reach out to her again.

Heather was not only the best Doula but she was also the kindest person with the biggest heart. From the moment we met her at our interview, we knew she was the one! She is so knowledgeable in everything pregnancy and birthing. I loved that she had additional training in Acupressure, which not only helped with my delivery but also for heartburn and morning sickness during my pregnancy!
I couldn’t have asked for a better doula. I feel like Heather will forever be a part of our family. We love her!

Heather was great to work with. She was on time which we really liked! She was a great help during the delivery and listened to my cues when I needed something different during my labor. she had the tools and knowledge to get us through a beautiful time in our lives and highly recommend her.

Heather was the best doula I could have asked for!
We always stayed in communication during my pregnancy and after. I will forever continue to Brag about doulas.
She was the best support especially during labor! My Significant other was so comfortable cleaning the house as I labored at home with Heather until I was ready to go to the hospitaL.
Heather really helped my labor go smoothly and unmediated as I wished. By the time we got to the hospital I was already 8cm.
