Attends hospital births? No Hospitals
While I deeply respect and honor all birth choices, my passion and expertise lie in supporting the sacred journey of homebirth. I believe that the intimate, familiar surroundings of one's own home provide the optimal environment for a mother to feel safe, empowered, and free to birth in harmony with her natural instincts. For these reasons, I have chosen to dedicate my practice to attending planned homebirths. However, in the rare event of an emergency transfer to a hospital setting, I will continue to provide committed support and advocate for your birthing preferences to the best of my ability.

As a homebirth attendant, my approach is rooted in helping you create a sacred and nurturing space to navigate the incredible journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in the comfort of your own home. I believe that homebirth offers a unique and deeply important opportunity to connect with the ancient wisdom of childbirth while empowering you to birth your baby in a gentle, unhurried, and intuitive way. My role is to hold space for you, honoring the sanctity of your birthing environment while providing loving guidance and support only when needed. I trust implicitly in your innate wisdom and the perfect unfolding of your baby's entrance into the world. With a deep reverence for the physiological process of birth, I will honor your progress with a discerning, silent, and compassionate presence, offering traditional wisdom and natural remedies only as needed. Central to my approach is the belief that you and your partner are the primary decision-makers in your birthing experience. By guiding you into the deeper wisdom and rememberings of the ceremony of birth, empowering you in building confidence in your body's abilities, and establishing a sense of safety, I aim to empower you to trust in yourself and surrender to the intensity and beauty of birthing your baby in your sanctuary. Throughout our time together, I will draw upon my knowledge of traditional birthing practices, midwifery ways, and the emotional and spiritual aspects of birth to provide you with comprehensive care that resonates with your unique needs and beliefs. Whether you are seeking a more grounded, practical approach or a deeper exploration of the ceremonious nature of birth, I am here to adapt my support to honor your preferences and desires. Should you feel called to have me by your side during your birth, please reach out! It would be my profound honor to serve as your guide, guardian, and support system on this sacred journey to familyhood.
For the past two years, I have lived in the Cusco Region of Peru, studying and attending births with a local traditional midwife in the high Andes. This has provided me with a deep appreciation for traditional birth attendance, rooted in wisdom passed down through generations. In Peru, I dedicated countless hours to self-study, delving into birth physiology to comprehensively understand the natural processes of labor and delivery. This knowledge was enriched by hands-on experiences attending births in the Sacred Valley, where I witnessed the power and beauty of physiologic birth multiple times. I also completed coursework for Rachelle Garcia's Innate Postpartum Care program. Though I didn't pursue certification, the wisdom and techniques have become integral to my practice, enabling me to provide holistic, nurturing support during birth and postpartum. Throughout my journey, I've had numerous opportunities to learn from and witness physiologic birth firsthand. These experiences deepened my understanding of birth and engrained a deep sense of trust in the process, allowing me to share stories and wisdom orally, like the midwives before me. My time in Peru has been a labor of love, a testament to my commitment to traditional birth ways. My approach honors sacred birth traditions, trusts in the mother's inherent wisdom, and holds space for the natural unfolding of birth. I am committed to walking alongside each family, offering guidance and support that empowers them to birth in alignment with their unique needs, beliefs, and desires.

As a single mom, I seeked to connect with someone special to assist me in my birth. I was overwhelmed in what to look for in a doula, until I was advised to interview, interview, interview. In our initial phone conversation Brielle answered all my questions. I connected with her answers almost immediately. When I met her in person, I knew she was perfect for the job. Her energy is very warm, nurturing and loving. I had my baby in January 2019 and despite my efforts of a vaginal birth, my baby girl was breeched and I ended up with a cesarian. Looking back at my birth experience, I have to say that Brielle did a wonderful job in preparing me for a natural birth. I labored for 15 hours without medication and all her advise and guidance is what got me through it all. She provided me with the tools for hypnobirth breathing. She periodically checked on my emotional state to ensure I worked through any fears or negative feelings so not to bring them into my birth. She encouraged me to listen to my body and my intuition and trust them both. I gained so much confidence in myself. She worked well with my midwife and birth team. Brielle also educated me on the importance of post partum care. She advised on nutrition, self care, and my support village. Her post partum care provided womb and vaginal healing through vaginal steams. She also provided emotional support. She led a Mother Blessing ceremony, a wonderful and loving experience every woman should have before birth. And she completed her services with a Closing of the Bones ceremony, a right of passage from maiden to motherhood. I loved both ceremonies. I would highly recommend Brielle as your doula. She is simply an amazing soul. She was the right fit for me and my spirituality. She will forever be a part of me and my daughter's life.

Brielle was so supportive throughout my pregnancy and labor. She checked in on My often during my pregnancy to make sure I was doing ok both physically and emotionally and still checks in from time to time. During my labor she was there every step of the way showing up late in the evening and staying all night so my husband could get some rest. Brielle was really supportive and helped me process all the things that didn’t go according to my plan. After days of labor and hours of pushing, I think I would have had a much less positive birth experience with Brielle’s support. Her postpartum support was great, and it was so important to have someone hold me accountable to healing and taking care of myself. Months later she is still checking in to make sure we’re all doing well.

Brielle did a wonderful job as my doula. Her warm personality and love and appreciation of all aspects of the maternal experience make her a natural fit as a doula. She provided my husband and I with the support we needed from pregnancy, through childbirth and postpartum. She helped with everything from showing us stretches to help with lower back and hip pain and recommending reading materials to the more significant things like connecting me with a teacher for birthing/breastfeeding class and helping to devise a birth plan. She would check in often to ask about my physical and mental state as well and lend an ear to any anxieties I was having. Many times, Brielle would just send a quick message with words of encouragement and inspiration that would always lift my spirits. When I had questions she would often do research to make sure she would be giving me the best information possible. Something which I valued very much.
During labor Brielle knew just when take a more active role and when to step back. When we had to deviate from the birth plan because of unforeseen complications and I was scared and upset, she did an excellent job of helping me refocus and reminding me that I was doing what I needed to do for myself and my baby. Brielle also knew just what to say to my husband so he would stay calm and continue to act as an effective birth partner.
In her role as my postpartum doula, Brielle, provided me with both the physical and emotional support that I needed. She even accompanied me when my baby had to be readmitted to the hospital for treatment. As my recovery was longer than expected, she continually checked in to make sure I had everything I needed and often connect with other doulas to see if there was anything else she could find to help me.
I can say without hesitation that Brielle was a tremendous asset during my transition to motherhood and any parent-to-be would be lucky to have her with them on their journey.

I had the pleasure of working with Brielle during a recent birth with a woman who was having a difficult time reconciling her labor. This mother completely responded to Brielle's confidence and warm, supportive presence. Her grace helped this mother over the hump and allowed her body to move forward and open. I sincerely recommend Brielle as a birthing doula.
