I was in great need of a post partum doula when my husband came down with the flu two days after we came home from the hospital after a difficult birth. Our birth doula put us in touch with HeHe, and as soon as I heard her voice on the other end of the phone I felt calmer. HeHe accompanied me through the fog of my exhaustion and post partum anxiety. She was always compassionate, warm, and attentive to our specific needs in any given moment, including taking initiative to help around the house even if I didn't ask. She proved to be highly skilled with our baby, and full of useful information about breastfeeding and pumping, as well as infant development and health. I also quite simply enjoyed HeHe's company. We shared humor and stories, and being with her helped me feel some normalcy and joy in the midst of the post partum struggle. She is still our go-to childcare provider when our family or nanny isn't available. We will always be grateful and hope to keep her in our lives for many years to come!

When I went into labor unexpectedly, HeHe came over to support us the day we came home. Over the next few weeks, she took amazing care of our entire family, and left us feeling prepared to care for our little one on our own. On a scale of 1-10, HeHe is an 11! I recommend that anyone considering postpartum doula care choose HeHe!

I loved having Tranquility by HeHe support me throughout the long journey that is birth. From going a full 13 days past my due date and advocating for my little one to have as much time to “cook” in there as possible, to sticking it through 12 hours of back labor, to making it possible for me to have a natural vaginal birth after having to be induced at that 42 week date—I couldn’t be more pleased at how my baby was brought into the world! I felt supported and encouraged through every step I reached and I can’t thank HeHe and Krista enough for what I was able to achieve. It means the world to me that my experience was so positive bringing my baby in to the world! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We hired Hehe as our birth doula in hopes of having a completely natural birthing experience. Hehe met with us for a prenatal visit and we went over what to expect prior to and during labor and what her role would be. Hehe seemed extremely knowledgeable about the birthing process and made me feel at ease and hopeful that I could actually have a natural birth.
When I went into labor, Hehe was there to guide and encourage me to keep going. She was also a great support for my husband. We were unsure when was the right time to go to the hospital. Hehe's expertise was very helpful in determining the right time to go to the hospital.
In the delivery room, Hehe was absolutely amazing. She made sure that the hospital staff were aware of my birth plan and respected it. She did a great job of being respectful of the hospital staff and at the same time, making sure that I advocated for myself. Her words of encouragement and support were immensely helpful. My mom, husband and Hehe were the perfect team to help me get through sixteen hours of labor.
After my son was born and we were home, Hehe came over for post-partum visits. I was really struggling with breastfeeding and Hehe was there to help and support me through that. She connected me with lactation consultants and a chiropractor and even brought over books on nursing for me to read. I truly feel she went above and beyond. You can tell that she loves what she does and is very passionate about her work.
Overall, I think Hehe did an amazing job and was truly there for me through my birthing and postpartum period. She truly cares about her clients and get personally invested in their wellbeing. I highly recommend Hehe to anyone looking for a birth and/or postpartum doula. I am so glad to have met her.

I began working with HeHe midway through my last trimester, and her support through that time, my birth and now post-partum, has been invaluable. Our prenatal meetings to discuss both my previous (traumatic) birth and the hopes for my impending delivery was incredibly helpful -- I so appreciated HeHe's gentle, supportive input and how she steered me to put in the mental and emotional work that was necessary to get in a positive headspace leading up to my son's arrival.
Our birth was challenging, but HeHe worked in tandem with my husband to ensure that I felt supported and empowered during the entire process, and was integral in keeping a positive, pressure-free environment. With the presentation of shoulder dystocia and an onslaught of physicians and nurses who rushed into my room at the end of my delivery, HeHe was able to keep me calm, collected and focused.
We're currently in the thick of adjusting to life at home with a three-year-old and a newborn, and I can't say enough good things about HeHe's support during this time. We live far from both of our families, and my husband received no paternity leave. HeHe has gone above and beyond to support me during this challenging time. She is wonderful with both my toddler and infant, and I'm so thankful to have her physical and emotional support -- I don't know what our family would do without her!

My wife wanted a natural deliver and with modern medicine where they force Cesarean (C-sections) in order to protect them selves from Malpractice. I knew it would be difficult and the odds would be lower. As the husband, I heard of a Doula from my wife. I looked it up and went to a class and realized that this is what we needed. We needed someone who can support her in the time of need. The doula would be our calm/composed thought process when doctors ask me what I should do (as the husband, I am the health proxy).
Hehe was instrumental in doing this. I called her at 4am as my wife was felling pain and contractions. She got ready and come with a few mins. We spent hours assessing her situation (as my wife's water did not break) but she was feeling contractions. Hehe could look at my wife and know it was not Braxton hicks. Hehe supported us through the entire labor process till the baby latched. She made sure to tell me to request the water tub at the hospital as I would have forgotten (with all the madness). She made sure to guide me on what to ask the doctors, etc. In fact, she would work with the hospital staff to make sure my wife had a natural delivery - with requesting a squat bar (even though hospitals do not provide this until asked). Research shows that squat bars can help ease the pain and be a natural form of delivery. My wife was able to have a natural delivery and I would attribute many of the reasons to Hehe's support. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Doula!

We met HeHe when I was 38 weeks pregnant, when I suddenly got nervous about labor, and my husband got nervous about his ability to help me through it. After reaching out to a few doulas, we knew right away HeHe was the right fit for us. She was warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable. She taught us how to get through the early stages of labor at home, and a few weeks later when she met us at the hospital, she advocated for me from the beginning - asking for blankets, letting me walk the halls, and asking about the pain relief options we had discussed. But her support didn't end when our son was born; at our post partum visit, she helped us gain confidence as new parents. As a couple without family in New England, knowing that HeHe is in our corner is very comforting!

Where do I start?! I have had the pleasure of getting to know Hehe from the last trimester of my pregnancy through the newborn phase I'm currently in the midst of. HeHe is generous, kind, sacrificial and compassionate. She truly cares about your well being and your child.
From help with pubic symphasis pain in pregnancy, to chiropractor references for my munchkin, to breastfeeding help, and infant sleep tips, she does it all! She has a passion for learning and helping that is hard to find and does it with a gentle presence and cheerful smile.
When I've had a difficult moment, Hehe is there with encouragement and tips. She even has not hesitated to come by my house to help! She's a wonderful resource and perfect to ask simply.. "Is this normal?". She replies promptly with kind words and impressive knowledge on all things pregnancy, post partum, and infancy. She's a great person to shoot a text to or call for emotional support but is also there with solid, researched information. Hehe has been one of the biggest encouragers for me and I can't recommend her enough!
If your on the fence about whether or not you need HeHe's help, just contact her and you'll see what I'm talking about. You won't regret it!

I didn't meet HeHe until I was right at 40 weeks pregnant. I was struggling with hip pain and my baby was showing no signs of coming any time soon. I was trying to keep my spirits high, but I was starting to reach the end of my rope. This is where HeHe steps in. HeHe was referred to me by one of my friends after telling her about my hip pain and lack of progression in Effacement and dilation. I was given HeHe's number and shot off a text; within a few minutes she responded and we set up a FaceTime call. We video chatted for almost an hour. HeHe's positivity was evident and radiating within the first few minutes of our first call; she really listened to me and gave me so many options to help with my hip pain, she also listened to some questions and concerns I had about being induced. My birth plan was to have an unmedicated birth in a hospital. I love my OB, but as i grew closer to going past my due date and induction became more of a reality, I realized I needed a different type of support system that I wouldn't get from my OB. HeHe answered all my questions that I threw at her and gave me so many tips to encourage and prepare myself for labor. As I approached week 42 of my pregnancy, I found myself preparing to go to the hospital to be induced, I still was not crazy about the idea of induction; but I was also physically exhausted and ready for my babe to meet the world. I felt like somewhat of a failure because I knew my chances of following through with an unmedicated birth would be harder with the induction, but HeHe encouraged me every step of the way and never made me feel like I was "less than" when I needed and epidural after 9 hours of pitocin induced labor with no progression. My labor ended with a c-section; HeHe was right there encouraging me when I felt defeated And reminded me that I did achieve my main goal- my baby was healthy and in my arms. If there is one thing I would change about my pregnancy, it's that I wish I had met HeHe sooner.

After my first natural birth experience did not go nearly as hoped, I was left with the feeling that my next birth would have to be either another traumatic event or completely medicated -- that is, until I met HeHe. I came away from our initial meeting feeling empowered and confident that with her help, maybe I COULD have the birth I dreamed of. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and her knowledge and depth of understanding gave me the optimism I needed going into my second birth. HeHe was with me every step of the way, from helping me envision my ideal birth and putting it into my birth plan, to the weeks of waiting for labor to begin, to sharing in the wonder of my birth, and even helping out post-partum. I am overjoyed to say that with HeHe's support and energy I was able to have the natural and healing birth I had hoped for. I am forever grateful and recommend her services in a heartbeat.
