We hired Beth as a doula for our 4th child. It was our 2nd hosptial birth, and I was concerned that it would be more difficult for me to labor without interventions in the hospital vs in the birthing center where I'd had babies 2&3.

I was also particularly concerned about my baby coming out faceup (2/3 of my older children had come out this way). Beth is very knowledgeable about the anatomy of the pelvis and gave me advice for trying to get baby in the optimal position throughout pregnancy.

The prenatal visit was especially helpful. Beth taught my husband and I several stretches and exercises to help my body prep for labor. She also discussed in depth my birthing preferences.

In the week or two leading up to birth I was in contact with her via text when I experienced contractions. Despite it being my 4th baby, it was still quite helpful having someone with much more birth experience to talk to.

When it was time to head for the hospital,  we had Beth meet us there after we got settled. She was prompt and prepared.

During my labor, Beth asked about where the pain was and had me adjust positions accordingly to help baby move through the pelvis. Based on what we'd discussed at our meeting she also reminded me to un-tense my body and to breathe with my whole body to help baby move. She was also able to advise my husband on ways to physically support me during the contractions.

It was very helpful for both of us to have a non-related support person who was there solely to help us.

Beth stayed for about the first hour afterward.

Postpartum, she came over for a followup visit at our home to discuss how things had gone.

We are so, so grateful for the support she provided us before and during labor. We regret not hiring a doula for any of our other births! If we have another child, we will definitely be hiring Beth again.

Working with Beth as a doula has been the most peaceful part of my labors and deliveries. She instilled in me self-confidence and greatly contributed to the feeling of intense affirmation with my third delivery (even though she was not able to travel with me to the hospital due to COVID restrictions). Her coaching, calm demeanor, and preparation set me up for the labor and delivery of my dreams with my daughter. Her support of my husband both when things were going as planned (like letting him get some much-needed sleep) and when I needed to be rushed into emergency surgery after the delivery of my son (sitting with him in the waiting room during my surgery after attending to my 36-hour labor and delivery) was as indispensable as her physical and emotional support of me. Her presence gave my husband the ability to just be my husband which was a huge relief to him.

Beth has personal and professional experience with such a variety of birth experiences that she is able to relate to nearly every circumstance. She is peaceful and affirming without being patronizing or insincere. Her authenticity and wisdom are a gift to any mother, new or seasoned. She truly seeks to tailor her services to the wants and needs of the mother, never imposing her own opinion or preferences - she is truly an advocate!

Beth is an amazing doula!  She is so calm and supportive.  I had 5 babies without a doula and my last 2 with Beth, and I was so thankful she was there.  I highly recommend her!

Beth was AMAZING!  Without her I would not have been able to achieve my non medicated birth!  She coached me along the way, reassured me, listened to my birth desires, helped me create my birth plan and so much more.  She never once tried to push her ideal birth on me.  She completely let me lead the way and provided lots of educational information on various subjects.  She was always available for any questions and was so supportive.  She was definitely a perfect fit and I wish I would have had her for my first birth.

This review is four months overdue (because life with a newborn is a little hectic)! However, when we decide to have a second baby Beth is on our speed dial!

Beth is an amazing, compassionate, and empathic doula! As a first time mom I wanted to have a coach to help my husband and I through natural labor. Beth was helpful in educating us in what to expect in the weeks leading up to the birth, the childbirth process itself, and in postpartum recovery. She was so encouraging when my daughter decided to come a full week late. When the big day finally came Beth was professional and nurturing throughout the labor and delivery.

Even with some minor changes to my birth plan, I always felt in control and empowered because of Beth’s coaching. A med-free birth is the hardest, most rewarding thing I’ve done in my life. I’m so glad Beth was a part of our birth story!

Beth tended the birth of my daughter in early April 2017. To just say that she is wonderful is an understatement. As a first time mom, the onset of labor was hard to determine, but without hesitation, she came each time I thought it was time. She helped through the whole labor and delivery process. She helped my husband be more hands on that he would have been able to be on his own. Without her comfort techniques, I don't know that I would have been able to do it. I will never go through labor and delivery without a doula... preferably her, if we still live in the area.

Beth is an amazing soul. She is the epitomy of calmness and has a very strong presence about her. I felt very comfortable talking with her immediately. I felt she was very knowledgeable about birth, as she has her own births under her belt. I would like to recommend her highly!

Beth could not have been more valuable during my birth experience. She is very calm and reassuring and knew just what to do to help me and my spouse. I gave birth in a hospital and she worked hand in hand with the doctors and nurses to provide the birth experience we had talked about. She was readily available in the weeks leading up to my birth and was very supportive. She supported our decisions and also walked us through any questions or concerns we had. I would recommend her to everyone I know!
