Molly was my midwife for my second baby. She is attentive and caring, I always felt taken care of and in good hands. She has a knack for reading the energy of the room and the mother, to be present exactly how one would need in that moment. I highly recommend her for doula services!

I met Molly through a friend who was in training to become a doula herself. When I asked for recommendations, she talked about how experienced and knowledgeable Molly was. So I reached out to Molly- the whole process was lovely. She was very available, responding promptly with questions or dates for future meetings. Her personality is so calming. I was impressed with the pre and post op appointments she attended. Without judging or making me overwhelmed, she had a sweet way of discussing a range of ideas and options, with extensive literature to answer my questions rather than her own bias. I had no plan or expectations and yet Molly taught me the importance of knowing my options should quick decisions need to be made. worked together on this new plan and it came together beautifully. I have since recommended Molly to close friends who were so very grateful for her services as well. -Heather W

My husband and I dreamt of being parents for nearly 3 years and wend we finally conceived in May of 2018 we started the anticipative wait to meet our little girl. It wasn’t until my third trimester that I heard about Molly Scott-Gleason (with Birthing Grace PDX). Her calm demender and highly knowle background quickly made the decision to hire her an easy one for me and my husband. She is quick to response with even the smallest questions and is her attention to detail made a vast diffefence. I am a type A person and Molly put my nerves at ease and played an incredible role in the birth of our daughter. My husband is not a super touchy guy and works in the Emergency Medical field so having Molly allowed me to have the best birth possible while allowing less stress and unperdictability for him. She did not take any any of our person connection time during  process and Instead supported both of us as we made the final steps into parenthood. She advocated for me during our hospital birth and made the transition as easy as possible. The love and support Molly provides is worth its weight in gold and if I had to do it again I’d book her in and instance! My husband and I now share her information with any of our pregnant friends/family because we know she will be an amazing doula and meet all of their needs (no matter how big or small). Thank you Molly- you truly are a blessing and I could never repay you for all of your hardwork and affection!

I decided to work with a Doula fairly late into my pregnancy and Molly was recommended to me by a friend. My very first conversation with Molly made me feel at ease, she was very knowlegable and clearly supportive of my wishes without judgment.

She came over to meet my husband and I, we decided to hire her right away. Over the next few weeks we talked about my birth wishes and also got to know each other on a more personal level. As so many birth's do, my journey took several twists and turns and I needed to change my plan along the way. Molly was amazingly supportive and helped me to process and come to terms with each change as it came up. I wasn't able to have the natural birth I had initially wanted, but with Molly's help and support I was able to give birth to a healthy baby boy without regretting the interventions and medications I ended up having. Molly's presence during labor was calming and reasuring for both myself and my husband and we both enjoyed her company during the many visits she made to our home and in hospital. I would recommend Molly to anyone wishing to work with a Doula, whatever kind of birth they are intending on having. If I have another child Molly will definately be there and she will certainly be invited to our Son's first birthday party next year!

I gave birth at OHSU and I am so glad that I chose Molly as my doula. Throughout the pregnancy she was very positive and supportive, encouraging me that a vaginal, non-medicated birth was possible (and we did it!). The home visits were great to get to know each other and ask questions. If you are planning birth at a hospital, you really need a doula, as the staff will turn over throughout your delivery and Molly ensured that my wishes were met as well as communicated what had happened during labor and was a champion for my needs and health.

Molly is absolutely amazing! She was an incredible support during my pregnancy and birth, offering a comforting presence and incredible knowledge when I needed it most. During our prenatal appointments, she was patient and thoughtful, addressing all of my concerns and providing resources. She took the time to get to know my birthing goals and supported my family every step of the way.

At my birth, she was an incredibly calming and supportive presence. Molly was waiting for us at the hospital and stayed until my baby girl was safely in my arms and we were on our way to the mother baby unit. Throughout my labor, she supported me with physical suggestions and unwavering certainty that I could birth my baby without medication. She interacted flawlessly with the medical team and my family. In short, she was the perfect doula- I would recommend her services to any family.

Molly was the calm, sweet and steady presence that helped make the birth of my second son a wonderful experience. Even when a surprise induction was in order, she was steadfast and lovingly helped us accept that and work together on having the birth we had wanted and planned for. She really helped us achieve our quiet "home birth" inspired birthing experience in a hospital setting. We had been a bit nervous planning a hospital birth with this baby because our first had been born at home. She helped us work through our fears and come up with a great birth plan that lead us to the great birth experience we had. Thanks Molly!

Molly was a calm force in our room, if that even makes sense. The minute she arrived I could feel her presence. Our baby girl was a qiuck one.  Molly offered me great comfort with the right touch combined with the right words of encourgament.  She knew where to massage and hold space without direction, we just had a really good connection. I didn't need to say anyting she just knew. She gave my hubby the chance to catch our precious one while she focused her attention on my needs. We had really great support from Molly our doula and our midwife. I would recommend Molly to any mama or family as she has a very genuine kind heart and a love for birth.

I cannot relay enough positive feedback regarding our experience with Molly.  From the get-go, she encouraged us to choose the doula that was most compatible for my husband and I, there was zero pressure from Molly, even after the the three of us initially met in our home.

Upon deciding to work with Molly, she was incredibly proactive by promptly scheduling our three prenatal visits, one of which included joining us at our doctor's appointment, so that they could become acquainted prior to labor. She also sent us useful resources for pre and postnatal services.

Anyone will immediately be struck by Molly's lovely, compassionate, supportive and easy-going nature; however, during labor, Molly was also assertive and firm.  When it seemed as though the doctor was going to suggest we veer away from a natural birth due to the temporary lack of progression in my contractions, Molly encouraged me to change positions and move around, completely getting us back on track.  She also provided me with essential oil massage as well as support during movement by applying pressure to my low back and outer hips.  I felt as though Molly was working hard to assist my husband and myself; without interfering in anyway.  She was present and positive, the perfect advocate.

Our son's birth went as well as I could have ever hoped.  It was my intention to go into the experience without attaching myself to any particular outcome, but we were successful with the natural birth and the experience was the most beautiful, raw, and powerful experience I have ever had.   I will never forget it.  My husband even referred to Molly and our nurse as "The Dream Team."  The day after our son was born, Molly paid us a visit, delivering healing treats for myself and we had a lovely post-natal visit about 3 weeks after that.  I would highly reccommend Molly.

Birth is nuts! I'm so grateful that I had Molly to help me get through it. My birth plan completely changed and her support was essential. My husband was so glad she was there to offer touch, laughs, information and an upbeat outlook. It really helped ease the pressure on him and my sister who was also in attendance. If you're are undecided about hiring a doula, do it! Molly is your gal. She was a trooper and I cant imagine the birth without her.

I found Molly 4 weeks before my son was due and my mind was immediately put to ease after talking to her & I hired her right away! I had been preparing for a natural hospital birth using Hypnobabies and was looking for a doula who was familiar with that. Molly had not been exposed to Hypnobabies specifically but was very open to learn and jumped in when I asked her to read material to prepare. She learned the correct terminology and listened to the tracks I sent her, she even went to a private Hypnobabies class with my husband and I! It was an incredible feeling to have Molly by my side those final weeks of pregnancy & during the birthing time. She was attentive, quick to respond to texts/calls and was so positive! My water broke early in the AM before contractions started, and she gave me great advice on how to proceed. Due to PROM I had to get Pitocin, and I was heartbroken. Molly helped me to remember what I had learned in my Hypnobabies classes and helped me accept the birthing journey that was to be our son’s. She knew I loved essential oils so she brought some and rused them with me, and calmed me down when I was losing control and getting emotional. She stayed up all night with us while the pitocin slowly crept up in strength and helped me control my fear. I truly believe that I was able to have my epidural free birth because she was there with us! I never once felt like she took my husband’s place as my primary birth partner, instead she joined our team and she made it a seamless process. She was wonderful in my postpartum time as well! She came to our house to see how we were doing and gave us a long list of wonderful resources incase we needed anything postpartum. I am so overjoyed that we chose to hire Molly! Since it was a last minute decision to hire a doula we hadn’t budgeted for it and she was willing to work with us on what we could afford. I would recommend Molly to anyone looking for an incredible doula!

Molly was such a unbelievable find on doula match. I somehow stumbled on doula match and contacted her and we had a quick back and forth that night. She was extremely quick in responding considering we were looking last minute. The universe must of matched us up because things just worked out in every aspect. She was professional, reliable, knowledgeable and as sweet as could be. She came to our house and was warm and friendly with our entire family, and I knew instantly we would connect. She is studying midwifery which gave her an excellent advantage in what birth is like and what to expect. During the birth she was very present and connected to the process. She was observant to my needs without having to ask or be told what to do. She had a very comfortable touch and it was exactly what I needed, where I needed, and when I needed. During our conversations about birth before and after she really made me think about how I was connected to it and what I was wanting out of it for me own experience which I really appreciated. I would have her as my doula over and over again and I would recommend her to all.

I feel so lucky to have had Molly as my doula after the birth of my third child. She is as trustworthy and helpful as they come. I knew from the beginning that she was a kind and thoughtful person, but with time, I learned that she is also hardworking and quite knowledgeable about the needs of new moms. I am as grateful as can be for her incredible sensitivity and respect for all that my family and I were experiencing. Among other things, she was able to put me immediately at ease with the idea of having her watch and play with my older children. She is one of those rare individuals with a "magic touch." And I don't have words to describe how much I benefited personally from her support. I feel as though my life as a mother, and my memories of the time surrounding my third child's birth, would be so different had Molly not been around. As it is, I remember being surrounded with warmth and care. Thank you Molly for being such a great doula!!

Molly was a wonderful doula, I refer to her to her doula skills to my friends as the “Magical touch”. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She was responsive, even in the middle of the night, and stayed long hours in hospital when I was under observation. Always available and always cheerful by me and my family during the stressful time. I am so glad that we decided that Molly to be part of our birth plan!

Molly was patient and attentive throughout my long labor. I had what was called as back labor which is very painful and her massages on my back were amazing during my contractions. Molly would be first choice even for my next child birth.

When I searched for a doula I was nervous to see if I could find the support I hoped for. From the first time I had one-on-one time with Molly my worries were put to ease! She's very open and positive person.

The day came and I chose to stay home alone with my husband until contractions were closer together. Molly maintained a perfect balance of checking in on us, but also letting it happen organically. Later we all met at the hospital, after an ultrasound we became aware that my baby was laying sideways inside me. I was devastated. I asked for a moment with Molly and my husband. We were trying to process, trying not to let go of having the natural birth that we wanted. That's when Molly gently stepped in and told us that situations like this was why c-sections were created. With her help we accepted that this is how our son would be born. We asked permission to have her in the room with us and asked her if she'd be comfortable with being there. I felt so awful,  I had planned for her to attend a natural birth and it was becoming a polar opposite. She was so gentle and was happy to be there to support me no matter how my son was born.

My son was born limp and pale. He was rushed to another room before I could see him. My husband did not want to leave my side but with Molly with me I felt completely secure sending him with our baby and not feeling alone myself. She stayed with me during quite literally the worst time of my life. She covered me with warm blankets and spoke softly to me through the unknown. And when they finally brought my baby back, she helped me try to nurse him as I laid on my back and the doctors finished sewing me back up. It was a very long night. Molly made it all bearable. I truly can't thank her enough for what she did for our family.

Molly scott was my Labour doula for my first birth. She was a staple during this intense time. Not only was she a supportive friend but also kept a calm and professional profile. Once my doctor informed us that my little one would not be coming into this world naturally, molly stepped in with ideas on how to get baby moved around before continuing with the cesarean. Keeping my partner and families feelings in mind while (in a way) taking charge and using her knowledge and experience to create a sense of control in an uncontrolable situation. Though my birth didnt go exactly as we all hoped, I am so thankful that I had Molly there for emotional support and to be another advocate for me.
