Relevant volunteer or advocacy work

I am passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, delivery and immediate postpartum. As a mother who had three c-sections and then a VBAC, I believe all women should know risks and benefits to every possible intervention in pregnancy and childbirth as it can have implications not only for the current pregnancy but also any future pregnancies. My desire is to offer support so a mother can have a healthy and fulfilling birth experience. I am currently serving on the board of Forget Me Not Baskets, a non profit organization that benefits families who experience loss. I also am a VBAC advocate and lead many support groups while providing education, resources and support. I am also the author of Brave Beautiful Birth, Trusting God Through VBAC.

I cannot put into words how amazing Jaimie is, but I am going to try my best. My wife and I found Jaimie on doulamatch and we could not possibly be any happier that we did. Before our son was born Jaimie came over to our house and went over a bunch of different counter-pressure and relaxation methods with us using a rebozo (that we got to keep and bring with us to the hospital when my wife was in labor). Leading up to my wife’s labor Jaimie was always available via text or phone call with any questions and she would get back to us extremely quickly, if not answer immediately. My wife went into labor at 36 weeks and Jaimie was constantly communicating with us and answering every question until the point when we asked her to come to the hospital. As soon as Jaimie got to our room she jumped right in with me providing counter-pressure techniques and making sure that my wife was getting through each contraction. She also made sure that we weren’t feeling pressured by the doctors to stray from our birth plan to fit the needs of the doctors. Jaimie had my wife get into different positions during labor to help our son move down and move through transition into the pushing phase. As my wife was pushing, Jaimie was on one side of my wife pushing her leg up as I was pushing the other side to open her pelvis more for our son to come into this world as easily as possible. I cannot even begin to imagine my son’s birth without Jaimie being a part of it. She is so intelligent, caring, creative, and such an amazing doula. She cared as much about the birth of our son as we did. I never leave reviews for for anyone or anything, but I felt compelled to write this t make sure that as many people as possible can have the same amazing experience that I did. I look forward to having Jaimie be our doula again for our next child... however far down the road that may be. Jaimie is the best coach, teammate, and (most importantly) doula that exists.

I contacted Jaimie early in my pregnancy, before knowing if I for sure wanted a doula or not. I spoke with her on the phone for nearly an hour, without feeling any pressure whatsoever to hire her as my doula. She was full of honest answers and encouragement with everything I said or asked. She made me feel safe, and confident going into the unknown of birth. Setting my own goals, hopes, and plan. I believe God intends for births to be beautiful, and amazing. Not filled with fear, and scars especially mental. My husband is a rockstar, but when it comes to seeing me in pain or seeing anything bloody, or anything else, we weren’t sure that he would be able to stay conscious or in the room. We made the decision to have Jaimie as our doula & she was absolutely wonderful! She was so supportive and helped us stay calm, focused, with keeping our end goal in mind. Once we arrived at the hospital we contacted her so she knew what was happening, she reminded me consider the pros and cons of each decision we made before we made it & allowed me to make them with no pressure or judgment. She kept my husband calm & reminded him of different excersizes and movements we had prepared for. If you’re looking for some support Jaimie is seriously wonderful & we’d choose her again and again! I’m so grateful for her as part of my birth team. When people ask me how it was I get to share with them it was a wonderful experience, and the first thing after I tell them why is because of my team, my husband, my doctor, and my doula! Thank you Jaimie you’ve helped me conquer one of the biggest moments of my life without fear, there was joy, peace, and so much love in that day!

Jamie Schrok provided my husband and I a level of support that was far beyond what we could’ve expected. It came genuinely and generously from her - it’s apparent that she is passionate about the birthing experience. She is punctual, dependable and trustworthy... but her most admirable and appreciated attribute is her respect for her clients. Jamie is a wealth of knowledge and was quick to guide us when ever we sought for her advice. She was created to be a doula and is an absolute blessing to those that she provides support to.

Our first pregnancy ended with an unplanned c-section and our desire for a successful VBAC with our second pregnancy lead us to finding Jaimie. She is an incredible resourse for expecting parents. She offers a wealth of knowledge, encouragement, and support to both mom and dad. She was a calm presence and offered a quiet strength during the birth of our daughter. While I was certainly grateful to have Jaimie's support during labor and delivery, my husband was just as thankful because Jaimie's presence gave him a moment of rest when he needed to rest. Jaimie's guidance helped us to make more informed decisions when interventions were suggested. She arrived quickly once we called her and we are incredibly grateful for her support during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and post-partum.

Working with Jaimie was a positive and uplifting experience. This was our first pregnancy, and while we had talked to many people about what to expect, and even took an 8-week class, having Jaimie as a resource and support along the way was invaluable, especially during labor and delivery. The birth of our daughter did not go as we would have planned, but for every decision we made Jaimie was there as a source of information and support. We felt empowered and strengthened by what she provided, and we will certainly be giving her a call with any future pregancies.

Jaimie has been an absolute blessing to my husband and I. During my pregnancy, I had many questions. Jaimie is so knowledgeable and was always quick to respond with her research, resources, and experience to put my heart at ease and peace. She helped me stay confident by reminding me that God designed our bodies to do this!

I started labor late night at the hospital. Jaimie was there within minutes. Her calm voice and sweet spirit was so present in the room. Reminding me of scriptures to stand on, speaking over my body, and being SUCH an encouragement to me. She's the exact support person I needed there with me by my side, along with my husband. Thank you Jaimie for being such a great friend and Doula as we brought our precious son into the world.

We hired Jaimie for the birth of our second daughter. Our first daughter ended up being born by C-section. We were glad that she was healthy but I had really wanted a natural birth. This time around we wanted to have a VBAC. Jaimie was so supportive in this process. She sent me wonderful research and help me talk through all the things that I hoped for for this birth and my concerns.  I felt so much peace in our choice to have her along for this journey. When I went into labor Jaimie came over to our home and offered so much wisdom and such a peaceful presence. I thrive on verbal affirmation and Jaimie and my husband were so, so vital to me feeling loved and supported while I labored. I couldn't have done this without them. I was able to have an unmediated vaginal delivery. It was an amazing experience and I am so thankful. jaimie was awesome; so prayerful and so supportive!

I loved how Jaimie would check on me regularly throughout my pregnancy. I felt like royalty. She always made sure I was comfortable with my birth plan and didn't hesitate to go out of her way to research and answer any questions. Every time I chatted with her I felt a strengthened peace and boldness. Her love for the Lord is an inspiration. Thank you Jaimie!

Working with Jaimie was very relaxing and empowering. I did a natural birth for my first child with just me and my husband that went very well. However, within 18 months after my first child was born, I had lost 2 babies due to miscarriage. This left me with a lot of anxiety and questions about my ability to go through the birth process on my own. Jaimie met with me before my due date to hear my concerns and what was important to me. She also gave me some tips to stay mentally encouraged through the process. When the day off the birth came, she was a gentle and calming presence. After being in the hospital for several hours and then having labor stop, she really helped me not be discouraged and make good decisions to take our time and stay calm and patient. She also helped me to better understand the options the doctors were giving me and what the side effects could be from the different choices. It gave me a lot of peace to have her there beside me, and she was also very respectful of when my husband wanted to be involved and when he wanted a break. She always seemed to have the right thing to say to either get my mind off of things or to help my focus on the positive things that were happening for me and my baby. I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself and worry too much and I can say that having Jaimie there with me during the birthing process helped me stay more calm and relaxed. I was very grateful to have her there and she took an area in my life that had become very stressful and filled with fear and helped me go through it with strength and calm. When I look back on that day, I remember feeling loved and supported and it was a great celebration to finally meet my healthy baby girl
