Post a testimonial for Trina Williams, CD(PALS)

Trina Williams will forever be like family to us. We kept going back and forth initially on whether or not we even wanted a Doula to begin with and in the end decided to hire Trina. This was our first baby and Trina helped calm our nerves, provided great knowledge and insight and overall was an amazing person to have around during the birth of our son. Unfortunately for us the birth was a little traumatic and an emergency c-section was necessary. Having Trina there to help guide us through the delivery meant the absolute world. My husband and I still talk about how grateful we were to have her there. Seriously it felt like it would have been impossible without her. We are so thankful and blessed to have met Trina and without a doubt would use her again if we decide to have anymore children.

We LOVED working with Trina. She was available, approachable, and knowledgeable. When she did not have an answer, she connected us with those who did. In delivery, I felt I could trust her completely and, looking back, I am thoroughly impressed with how she knew the right way to encourage me and be there for my husband. I made tough decisions I didn’t think I would have to make and without her I wouldn’t have the confidence I do now that I made the right choices. She was professional with every other part of the medical team and I can’t thank you enough for suggesting her to our family.
Trina’s service is a phenomenal testament to how powerful of an experience a supported birth can be.

I first met Trina in 2016 when we interviewed doulas for our firstborn. She was so assuring, relaxed, personable, informative while not overbearing, and overall, just the type of personality I wanted for my labor. I was the type who didn't have a birth plan or any set idea on how I wanted my labor to proceed and I appreciated Trina's flexibility and encouragement with however things would play out. With that labor, I know now that I labored at home on my own for a while and talking with Trina on the phone helped me gauge progress. One of my favorite memories is calling Trina to say I'd been walking laps at the park and stopping for contractions when I'd need to catch my breath and pause. She said - "don't you have some stairs at your house? Walk around your house, not the park!!" It still makes me laugh because I didn't really think anything of it - but I also knew if Trina was going to emphasize something (like staying close to home), I better listen to her!
Fast forward to March 2022 and I was 7 months pregnant with baby #2 and while we initially thought we would go through labor on our own, something told me to text Trina out of the blue. I knew she moved out of state but at the least, I hoped she could give a good recommendation to another doula. After texting and giving her my due date, Trina responded "I'm your doula!" I was beyond excited to get that response. Trina would be coming back to Seattle in time for my due date. Despite a few stressful weeks with my gestational diabetes changing our timeline and worrying that Trina might not make it back in time, it all worked out. We didn't get to do an in-person prenatal visit, rather, we reunited at the hospital on induction day. From check in to delivery, it was about 11 hours. The last 5 hours or so were the most active part but having Trina there to give active assistance to me and also guide my husband on things he could do, too, was great.

Trina is the absolute best and was so incredibly vital to our birth experience! She is such a positive force in helping you in receiving the type of care that you want. I wanted a low intervention, non medicated birth and Trina was there to support the entire way and helping me in the hopes that I had. Trina was also super wonderful in keeping our wishes realistic so that we were fully prepared for the birth being the unpredictable event that it is.
During labor, Trina worked massage magic on my round ligaments which had been preventing me from walking without pain for almost 2 months. I don't think I could have done my long labor without that help.
My labor was technically about 56 hours long with 24 of those being much more intense and I pushed for a grand total of about 5 1/2 hours unmedicated. Trina was there the entire time coaching me through what to expect; encouraging me when I was doing things well; guiding me when I would go a little off track and begin to sprial; and just being an overall amazing presence throughout the entire thing.
I cannot express how grateful I am to this wonderful woman. Her presence was vital and I don't think that I would have been able to accomplish my birth in the way that I wanted without her. If you are looking for someone to help guide you (no matter what type of birth you are hoping for), I recommend Trina 1000%. She has a ridiculous amount of experience and it is evident in her care and love for her clients. THANK YOU, TRINA!

Trina was an amazing doula and confident birth partner. From the beginning, she was a pleasure to work with and prepared us for the birth better than our doctor. Trina brought an incredible amount of knowledge, experience, and humor to the process and we knew she was a good fit the moment we met her. During the delivery she not only supported my husband and I the entire day, anticipating our every need and explaining each step, her intuition and calm presence grounded the entire room. I felt safe and protected in her care which is all I could have asked for as for our first birth. We were lucky to have her help during our delivery and I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Trina is a natural doula! She brings a beautiful calmness to the birth experience and has a very reassuring way about her. She is hard-working, intuitive and will go out of her way to help you realize your birth vision. I highly recommend Trina!

Here is why I wanted a doula for my wife. I knew from the start that I wanted to enjoy the birthing process as much as I possibly could. I didn't want to have to recall anything from a birthing class. I really wanted someone there to help my wife and I on a personal level; Trina was that person. She extended her care to our family members that were in our birthing suite. She became apart of the family from the moment we met her. She is such an awesome person and I know she will be apart of my family.

Trina was fabulous. She was a rock for me and hung in there for a very tough delivery (30 hours of labor and then an emergency C-section). She has such a calming and reassuring way about her and knows when to step in to help. She's very thorough and documented our birth story along the way. I would definitely recommend her services to another mom-to-be!

My husband and I would not have made it through the most intense moments of labor without Trina's support. Her intuition was impressive- she offered techniques that helped me cope that I would not have considered. Additionally, her demeanor was so calm and helped the whole room relax. To top it off, she provided a written account of the labor, which she shared electronically. This was helpful for remembering the details of my long and complicated labor. Thanks, Trina!

Trina was amazing! She kept me focused and calm always holding my hand and looking right into my eyes while coaching me. It is what I needed. Without her I couldn't of delivered a 10lb 4ozbaby boy naturally! I had an epidural my first child but with Trina's support I was able to do this one naturally!

Trina was indispensible in helping me with my contractions. Her touch really did lessen the pain, and I was able to labor for many hours with her assitance. Trina was helpful, but not pushy. She was knowledgeable, but not a know it all. She guided my husband, and did not take over, but at the same time, she was ready to jump in whenever she could. I thought she was great!
