My experience with Arti has been incredible. I don't have family around so I knew that I needed postpartum support after birth. Initially I thought I'd only need help for a month - fast forward 3 months, I dont think I can survive the week without her visit. She's incredibly instinctual with my baby, knows exactly how to soothe him and has taught me so many things as a first time mom. She's also a very good cook ;) She helps with meal prep and makes sure I am always well fed to keep my milk supply up. Don't hesitate to contact her for any postpartum support.

After my first meeting with Arti I was positive that she was who I wanted to have in my home, sharing the journey of first time parenthood with my husband and me. She is kind, patient, honest, relatable, knowledgeable and has a refreshing sense of humour. She never made me feel stupid or naive (even though I can say now that I was), but instead shared her expertise with me in a way that made me feel confident. I am admittedly an introvert and was initially nervous about having someone in my home, but Arti made that so easy. We chatted for hours about anything and everything and she put me at ease at a time when life was anything but easy. I will absolutely reach out to Arti again if the opportunity arises and 100% recommend her to anyone looking to work with a doula.

Being a first time mom can be absolutely nerve racking to say the least, but going through the pregnancy and facing the unknown of your first ever birth can really put your emotions and anxiety in high gear. With all that in mind, I chose to have a doula, someone to support me on this 9 month journey, to guide me, inform me, calm me, and support me emotionally, mentally and physically. That person was Arti and she was all that and more. She listened to my fears of birth and provided guidance and comfort in creating a supportive birth plan and environment for me. She was always a phone call away if I had any questions and nothing was off limits. From 1pm Wed to 10pm Thursday, she gave up everything to be at my beck and call and be by my side for the entire birth. She was in communication with me from 1pm to 5am as I was at home with contractions, and met me at the hospital at 6am and never left my side till 10pm. 

My husband and mother were not aware of a doula, they didnt understand the role and quite frankly didnt feel we needed one. After the birth, they both showed their upmost gratitude for her and told me how thankful they were she was with us and really felt the birth would have been very different without her, and not in the good way. 

If we were to have a second baby, I would not hesistate to have her by my side again, as I am forever thankful for her presence.

Arti was truly amazing and we couldn't have gone through this life journey without her! She is friendly, knowledgeable, and always cheerful. She is always there to support and answer any questions. She always talks about the choices we have and helps us proceed with our choices. Her magical touches really relieved the pain and saved me from using any medical pain management. Other than taking care of me during the exhausting labor day, she also took care of my husband and made sure he was very much involved in the process. Thank you so much for being our great supportive companion in this journey Arti!

Arti was truly a Godsent! First time parents, we wanted a doula to help reduce our anxiety during childbirth. From the moment we met Arti, we were so impressed and instantly felt comfortable and connected to her. We knew right after our first meeting that Arti was the perfect doula for us, we clicked with her instantly. Her professionalism and passion for helping to inform pregnant women and their partners about the birthing process and their options are what stood out the most. Over the course of our first two meetings, Arti taught us so much and confidently answered every one of our questions. We were highly impressed with her theoretical and practical knowledge as well as her resourcefulness. As a result, my husband and I felt confident and prepared heading into my labour.

My labour was fast and furious. Arti was a calming and caring presence throughout and worked beautifully alongside our midwife and the the nurses at BC Women's Hospital.

As first-time parents we truly appreciated the extra support in the early days. Again, Arti's visits were so helpful and comforting as we transitioned into our new role as parents/care-givers of our beautiful baby girl. Her ethic of care and professionalism are second to none!

Thank you Arti, you are amazing at what you do and are a genuinely wonderful person! It's apparent that you've found your calling supporting new and expectant mothers and their partners as they transition into parenthood. We can't thank you enough for your presence in our lives at this most momentous moment! We are so happy that you will forever be part of our journey into parenthood and the beginning of our precious little girl's life.

Arti proved to be a wonderful resource both before, during, and after the birth of my daughter. Arti’s presence during labour was supportive and calming; her energy and understanding of the birthing process was a truly positive aspect to my labour and delivery. 

Meeting with Arti prior to labour enabled me to plan out how I would like to be supported during labour and also provided me with great resources to further choose the best options for me and my expectations. Her help with my daughter throughout the first evening in the hospital was priceless, it served to keep my anxiety at bay about soothing my child and provided a much needed extra pair of hands to allow me to rest whenever possible. 

Arti would make an excellent advocate to anyone (or any couple) looking for support during the process of labour and should I choose to add to my family I would hire Arti once again to support me during that amazing journey.

Arti was a great fit. She was extremely knowledgeable about the birthing process and put me at ease at such a nerve wrecking time. She was able to train us and show us how to practice relaxation techniques. On the day that I gave birth, she came immediately when contacted and was very reassuring and helpful. She kept me hydrated when I was getting dehydrated and knew how to calm me. Thank you Arti!

We were lucky to have Arti as our wonderful Doula. She was friendly, professional, and very very supportive. We felt that we were given lots of information about the entire birth process. Arti went above and beyond her expected services as a doula to be there for us during the difficult labour. She made me and my husband feel that we didn't have anything to worry about. Her positive energy and upbeat smile gave us the encouragement we wanted in our doula : )

Working with Arti was amazing. We were connected through the South Community Birth Program.

I would describe Arti as deeply empathetic, intuitive, joyful, confident and knowledgable. She helped me through all the stages of labour with calm, centered energy, providing support and advice when needed, and space when needed.

Her presence and coaching was also very helpful for my partner as they worked together to support me. She knew when to intervene, when to give space, was there when we needed her, and answered lots of our questions.

I can't begin to say enough wonderful things about Arti. She is by far one of the kindest souls and right away her positivity and passion for being a doula makes you feel right at ease. After our first conversation I knew right away she was the doula for me. I almost doubted whether or not I should hire a doula at first, but now looking back, it was the best decision I ever made. I couldn't have done without her. Arti is so dedicated and so knowledgable about what she does. Throughtout my labour experience with her by my side, she remained entirely devoted to reading the situation at hand and giving me the support I needed. Whether it was keeping me focused, coaching me with breathing techniques to stay relaxed, or just encouraging me when things got tough, she was so tuned into making your needs her number one priority. I can't thank her enough for everything from the bottom of my heart. Three weeks ago today, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and although my birth plan may have taken on a route of its own, one thing I knew was constant was Arti's support and I would reccomend her to anyone!

Our experience with Arti was wonderfull. This is our second child so we felt like we know what to do, we wanted to do our thing and were'nt sure how a doula will fit in. On the other hand we knew how supprtive having one can be. And indeed Arti's presence in the delivery room was priceless. She just felt the right thing to do at any given moment, she ran back and forth to help us get what we needed whether it was drinks, arraging the tub, or calling the staff when baby was ready to come to this world. Also, she knew exactly how to place herself so that my DH will be able to support me and be significant as he should be. She was calm, confident, and attentive to our needs so much. She is knowledgable and seeks knowledge all the time. She is available before and after labor if needed. And she's just fun to have around. Arti has a strong beliefe system and values, she is very spiritual and yet grounded. We LOVE her and srtongly recommend her!  Thanks for being a part of our journy Arti!

At 37weeks and 5 days and after a whole weekend of false alarms thinking my water has broke, my husband and I gave birth to our baby girl at Woman's Hospital on June 27th 2017.  A day I will remember for the rest of my life.  As a new mother to be, there was overwhelming of information on preparing for everything, it was like a crash course you had to complete in 9 months and then get tested for it for the next 20 years!  Having Arti with me made my journey a lot more at ease.  I was stubborn at first thinking I could do it all on my own, but when the day came, having guidence and support and even afterwards made every move alot more confident.  I highly recommend having as much support as you can get as some days when you have the baby blues you have someone to turn to or when you doubt yourself, Arti is just a text message away!

My exp with Arti was wonderful. She was very thorough with explaining things to me. I knew I could rely on her based on our connection. She was extremely helpful the day of my birth.  I am so glad she was there - she made sure I got some rest as well as my partner, well hydrated (literally feeding me water and apple juice without me asking for it), and relaxed.  She worked wonderfuly with the nurses and especially hand in hand with my midwife during delivery. She also captured very emotional moments of my birth (with consent) that I would not have gotten if she was not there. I highly recommend Arti! Thank you so much Arti for your wonderful help delivering my firstborn !!!

I had an amazing experience with Arti.  The thing that impressed me at the start as how knowlesdgeable Arti was.  She also has the best attitude.  Totally positive and upbeat.  My birthing room felt like a spa.  We had music going and essential oils.  She really helped me relax and enjoy the process.  Overall, I was very happy with my birthing experience and this had a lot to do with Arti.  I would wholeheartedly recommend her.

Arti was our doula for the birth of our first child a month ago. I wasn't sure that I wanted a doula, but my mom had encouraged me to consider it, and after doing a bunch of research I contacted Arti through the BC Doulas website. i was immediately impressed by how prompt Arti was in getting back to me and how professional and organized she seemed. Our meetings were really informative and helped put my husband and I at ease. There are so many things to learn about when it comes to having your first baby, and Arti was a great guide. When I went into labour Arti came to our house to help, and I was really grateful for her support. I was feeling confident and handling contractions well with Arti's help with pressure and the TENS machine, even after we got to the hospital. Unfortunately we ended up having an emergency c section, but I feel that I probably could have delivered without any pain medication with Arti's support if there hadn't been an emergency. Avoiding the epidural wasn't even that important to me! I just honestly felt that with Arti's knowledge and support that labour, while difficult, was totally manageable. Arti is a great doula, and her enthusiasm, dedication, and knowledge were really helpful for us. Thanks Arti!

My life was forever changed 12 days ago. My boyfriend and I were blessed with a beautiful, healthy son. I knew I wanted to have the most natural, drug-free birth experience and wanted extra support, so I began my search for a Doula that would be compatible for us. I contacted Arti through Doula Match, she followed up with me almost immeadiately and I met with her in person. After the first 15 minutes of meeting her, I knew she was the Doula for us. Her sweet, passionate and supportive demeanor was outstanding and her understanding of her potential role in my birth and what I expected, was on par.

After I decided that she was our Doula, she sent me good resources to read for reference leading up to the birth. She also sent me positive affirmations fairly often to pick me up throughout the days. I really appreaciated this extension of herself as she really didn't have to do that but it showed me how much she cared about me, my baby and our well-being.

During my labour, she really shined through. It really confirmed our decision to hire her as our emotional support during my labour. I cannot express in enough words how happy we were with her amazing support. My boyfriend and I truly believe that we would have been very lost without her love and guidance thoughout the labour and birthing process. Her unique techniques helped move my baby in an ideal position, calmed me and reminded me to breathe, taught my partner to better support me, prevented unnecessary interventions and made me feel safe and loved from before the beginning and past the end.

My family and I are complete with Arti's help and expertise and we will continue to have her as our Doula for our future children as well. <3

Arti was fantastic. From the moment I met, my husband and I felt at ease. She was super easy to talk to, had tons of energy and was always super positive. That's the best type of doula especially when I was already nervous meeting up and having baby no. 1. We spoke a few times before my baby came and Arti would follow up and give me reading materials that I was interested in. She was there for over 18 hours during my labour. I had a difficult labour and she was there the whole way. Ready to massage, comfort and encourage. She also brought aromatic oils and incense to create a more relaxing ambience. Both my husband and I are so glad we had her throughout the process. Arti continued to be a source of knowledge post partum and even visited baby to ensure everything is going well. She had a wealth of knowledge and is ready to prance on any opportunity to be there for our family. Can't recommend this lady enough!

Being pregnant for my frist time was difficult and challenging since i did'nt have any of my close family with me at that time . So it felt like a big relieve when i met and had Artie as my doula . She is so knowledgeable doula  and always make me feel at ease when i talk to her . And i don't know what would happened if i did'nt have Artie at my labour . My husband was so nervous and i was totally relied on Artie . A strong emotional support is all you are needed for an easy labour i think . We love you and thank you again Artie!

Arti was an incredibly calming and encouraging presence throughout our birthing experience. She was organized and very 'present' in her attentions. She lent a stability to the room, both through setting an emotional tone that was comforting and also by providing explanation and context to what was to happen next. Her knowledge and instruction was incredibly valuable to us as first time parents, as it provided an anchor of sorts. She was reliable, considerate and helpful without ever being intrusive or in the way. From the beginning, Arti was committed, pleasant, and warm. She had very good instincts in when to gently assert herself and when to fall back and allow the room to flow. We were incredibly grateful for having her there with us, and we found her to have been an essential part to the success of our birthing experience.

I had a VBAC with my second child and Aarti  was my doula. Aarti provided assurance and information before the birth that helped me be at ease. She gave me excercises to help get my body read for delivery. During labour, Aarti provides excellent support by helping me feel relaxed. She massaged my neck and shoulders, helped me gain focus and breathe. She used essential oils and whatever else I felt comfortable with to get through labour. She did an amazing job belong me breathe throughl the contraction. It was a long labour and she was there to help me through. I am happy with my labour experience with Aarti. She also provided post partum care and came to visit with a nourishing meal. Thanks Aarti!
