When I became pregnant - and decided that I wanted as unmedicated of a hospital birth as my body would allow - I knew I would need to lean on the expertise of a doula. A fellow yoga teacher sent me Brittany’s info and I’m so glad they did! Brittany was a dream to work with - she was instrumental in helping us achieve the low-intervention birth we wanted! It was important to me to work with someone who understood and appreciated both the mental and physical aspects of birth, and was very balanced and evidence based in their support approach. This is Brittany! Prior to the birth, Brittany guided us with resources and educational materials which I deeply appreciated. She taught my husband hands-on comfort measures for labor, and talked us through what to expect. During labor itself, Brittany was the calm during the crazy, offering mindful reassurance and comfort/positioning guidance to both myself and my husband - she was honestly a pivotal part of why I was able to labor at home for as long as I did. Once at the hospital she stuck with us through the arrival and afterwards, and brought her warmth, knowledge, and support to us a week after the birth during a final home visit. Thank you Brittany for everything - we’d work with you again in a heartbeat!

Brittney was a blessing to our family! As first-time parents we knew having the right person to support us as we transitioned into our new role as parents was going to be paramount. Brittney was warm & helpful from the start, making the process extremely easy! Two things that stood out to us immediately include great communication and a strong skillset in lactaion support. Our son was born 3-weeks early by a planned c-birth and I knew the additional support in breastfeeding would be helpful. Brittney's services were invaluable. She knew the perfect balance of offering support while also allowing us to learn our new roles; for example their were days when she arrived that a nap for mama was priority and other days where we planned out new skills she could teach me. She still to this day (three months since birth) is a great resource and continues to help our family on this beautiful journey!
Additional details: Brittney offered our family postpartum support three mornings per week for six weeks. The value far exceeded the cost and we will absolutely use her services again when we expand our family!

Brittney provided overnight care for our twin boys during their earliest days two nights a week for several months. Whenever she came over to take care of them, my wife and I were never worried about the twins' wellbeing and were able to get the rest we desperately needed. Both of our boys clearly enjoyed Brittney's company and care while she was here (sometimes they wanted to just hang out with her in the middle of the night!),
We would highly recommend Brittney for anyone looking to hire. She was very easy to work with, warm, and communicative throughout the whole process. She is a really great find!

After delivering my first baby via an emergency c-section 4 years ago, I wanted nothing more than to attain the natural, vaginal birth I had always wanted with my second. I knew that a doula would be able to help me achieve that goal. Although I interviewed a few doula’s, I felt an immediate connection with Brittney and I’m so glad I found her! She was attentive to my wishes, kind and gentle.
I was about 36 weeks at the time, but Brittney was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had up until my due date, and beyond. She provided research and information on all things related to the specific birthing experience I desired.
I let her know as soon as I started feeling contractions and she came to our home as soon as I asked. She provided invaluable relief to my husband, massaging and applying pressure and encouraging me through my contractions. She truly helped me feel at ease. Just as she did at home, at the hospital, Brittney helped ease my fears, she provided position ideas and exercises that helped my baby find her way through the birth canal. It is because of her that I was able to bring my daughter into this world just as I had hoped. I am forever grateful.

I chose Brittney after an initial zoom meeting and loved her calm, peaceful and direct demeanor. I am a person who generally gets easily overstimulated and she helped me stay calm in the moments I became overwhelmed. I had a hospital birth, but desired to labor at home as long as possible. I remember a moment when I started getting the shakes during transition and I felt scared. She was in-tune with my body language & asked me what I was thinking. This simple question forced me to process my thoughts out loud. I shared that I was scared. She was then able to provide personalized guidance. She knows I am a Christian & told me to focus on how God provides me with strength and to replace my negative self-talk with something positive. It’s what I needed in the moment & helped me get through those final contractions.
With this being my 2nd baby, I was concerned baby would come faster & I almost headed to the hospital when my contractions were about 5 mins apart. When my contractions stalled back to 12 mins apart, I was trying to decide if leaving for the hospital was still a good idea. She reminded me of my goal (which we discussed prior at a prenatal meeting) to labor at home as long as possible, so that’s what we did. It’s so easy to not think straight when working through contractions, so I am grateful she became my compass in that moment.
I had a dream birth! Baby arrived only 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital, so it was timed perfectly. I had a home labor & a hospital birth, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid unnecessary interventions. Brittney was attentive throughout the entire process. She was hyper aware of my environment & how it would affect my mood. She provided light tough massage, counter-pressure, and applied warm compresses to my low back to help me get though pressure waves. I highly recommend Brittney to any pregnant woman! Her service was worth the investment!

I chose to hire Brittney because I felt safe and welcomed whenever we spoke, and that built trust. I would ask questions and the knowledge and resources that were provided were enough to help with the concerns and problems that arose. I knew that she was capable of being whatever support I needed; she showed that to me many times. Something that made her stand out from other doulas was her calm presence, the kindness in her voice, and the way she treated the challenges that surfaced throughout my pregnancy with gentleness and respect.
Brittney helped my birthing experience come together and " flow " how I hoped it would. She gave us a presentation on what to expect my body to do and therefore having that knowledge gave us the confidence when delivery day came. I wanted to birth in a pool this time, and we had financial set backs. She was determined to make sure that I was able to; and for that I will always be grateful! I needed to not tear when my daughter entered this world and Brittney was ready to remind me to breathe the baby out slowly. She even came over to check on me and help cut towels to have if my perineum needed extra support.
For several months I listed the pros and cons of having the support of a doula. I had birth twice without it. I wondered should we spend the extra money, we were paying for a midwife already for our homebirth. We didn't have a lot of financial wiggle room, as our family had grown we also needed to upsize our vehicle. We were on the hunt for a smart investment all around.
Two months later, I write this testimonial. Hiring Brittney Khol was a good and smart investment! I loved having her present during my pregnancy and at our birthing day. She is a caring and sweet person, if we have another child here on the East coast we will be hiring her again!

Brittney was our doula for the birth of our first child in October ’17. We read about many doula’s online, trying to decide who interview and eventually go with... there are many wonderful women out there serving pregnant mothers! However, Brittney stood out in several ways. The first thing I noticed that was especially important to us, was that she would also be able to assist with breastfeeding postpartum. This was SO important to me, to have someone who could assist in creating a healthy breastfeeding relationship with our baby should we need help. On top of the knowledge and experience we were looking for, we were also limited financially. Brittney kindly gave us a generous discount so that we could still hire a doula.
She jumped in at the end of my pregnancy, and proved to everyone around us the value of having a doula. During the birth, Brittney relieved my husband immensely- tirelessly massaging me during contractions and applying pressure where and when needed, so he could focus on other aspects of the birth and my emotional needs. Then, when my planned home birth turned into an emergency c-section, Brittney came with to the hospital, and stayed for as long after as she was needed, going above and beyond what we could have wished for. She herself was 7(?) months pregnant at the time- I can only imagine the extent of her dedication when she is not! Thank you, Brittney, for your love and passion in serving women. We are blessed to have found you!

I knew that I wanted to have a doula to support me and my husband for the birth of our first child. What made me reach out to Brittney was the fact that she offered competitive pricing and more prenatal meetings than other doulas advertised. We interviewed several doulas, but opted for Brittney because she personified the kind of birth I'd hoped to have: she's a warm, calm, confident woman who has served many other families and has given birth herself. I felt very comfortable with her. When it came time for me to deliver, Brittney really came through for our family. Although she'd been up the night before with another client (she'd delivered delivered two weeks late and I delivered one week early) and despite the fact the she was seven months' pregnant herself, Brittney empowered me to feel confident during the birthing process. She offered suggestions for positions to labor in, how my husband could best assist me, massage techniques, and aromotherapy. Brittney also stayed with us after the birth to help with our first breastfeeding. Given the option to do it all over again, I'd definitely want Brittney by my side!

Hiring Brittney as our postpartum doula was one of the best choices we made after the birth of our twin boys. Brittney is incredibly kind, supportive and very knowledgable. Being first time parents, and to twins at that, we knew we would need some help when we brought them home. Brittney was wonderful to have at the house. She answered all of my questions about breastfeeding and helped me learn to nurse the twins. She taught us about baby wearing, night time care of the boys, and everything in between. She was also so helpful with our day to day household tasks that were hard to keep up with during the first few weeks at home. If you are looking for a postpartum doula I very highly recommend Brittney! She is trustworthy, kind, and a sweet friend to have made during my early days as a new mom!

After I had my first child and had a bad experience I was consumed with fear to birth another child again, I knew I would need all the support I could get! Beyond the support of my mom and my husband, I decided a doula would be good for helping me feel that much more confident in myself. Brittney was just the gal for the job! We decided that using hypnobabies would be the best way for me to overcome my fears. She helped to remind me to do my hypno "homework" and throughout the process I really did feel good, and even excited about birth! Which for me was a miracle.. Brittney and I would often talk about my birth plan and the different options that I had. She helped me to understand what those options where and the pros and cons of each. She was supportive with every decision I made, and I never felt pressure that I should make one decision over another, she just gave me the information and left it in my hands. When ever I had a concern or question she would answer to the best of her ability, and then would take the time to do extra research and send me links to make sure I could explore it more if I wanted or needed to. She was reliable and was always ready to help when I needed her, which was fairly often. When it came time to have the baby everything went super fast! Nonetheless, I couldn't have done it without the support of Brittney. When I got to that point where I didn't know whether I could continue Brittney reassured me that I could, and held my hand to get me through it. I was in active labor for about 20 minutes total! It was wonderful!! And I know that I owe it to the fact that I was completely relaxed and ready to birth my daughter. Had I still been consumed by fear I know that my labor would have been just that.. Labor!! But it is an experience that I look forward to telling my girls, and teaching them about the beauty of giving birth. Thank you, Brittney for all of your hard work, and scarifices that you made on my behalf, I am forever grateful!

I'm a doula who has worked along side of Brittney at a birth. She's very calm and attentive to a woman in labor. She's had one of the best doula trainings available! She's educated and very wise when it comes to birth. I know that any woman who hires Brittney will be well supported throughout her pregnancy labor!
