Stacy is an amazing doula! Her help and support during my pregnancy and labor was priceless. Stacy came to our home several times to help us prepare for labor and delivery. She was very knowledgeable and explained things in a way that my husband and I both understood. I was very set on my husband being my #1 support, and she did an amazing job at helping him achieve that. She was also very respectful of our desires and plans and did all she could to support us in them.  When my doctor didn't fully support my desires, she helped me find ways to respectfully gain his support and get what I needed. When I found out I had a rare pregnancy condition (ICP) that would require me to be induced at 37 weeks, Stacy did all she could to help me prepare for it. During labor, Stacy was there every step of the way ready to help. She helped me successfully get through the roughest parts of labor without pain meds or an epidural. When things weren't going how I had hoped they would, she was there to encourage me and give me advice. Her emotional support and understanding helped me immensely when 48 hours of labor ended in a c-section. Having Stacy there through the whole process made my birthing experience a very positive one. Her support was truly priceless and I am so glad we chose her as our doula!

At first I was skeptical about why my wife and I would need a doula. I figured that I would be able to support my wife in every aspect before, during, and after the pregnancy. I have never been more wrong! Stacy helped us prepare for birth but her biggest impact was during labor. She was there massaging my wife in places that I wouldn't have thought of to help relieve the pain. Later, my wife got an epidural and for some random reason I passed out! I do not get queazy around needles and I have never passed out before in my life so I am still not sure why I passed out, but as I was laying on the floor getting juice and cookies, my wife was being helped by Stacy to stay calm and collected. She even helped catch me as I was passing out! I couldn't be any happier about letting Stacy be our doula for our first child. She was very kind and respectful throughout the whole process and she made a great backstop to catch a 210 pound, free-falling husband.

When my wife first told me that she wanted to have a doula, I was a little disappointed, perhaps confused.  This was our third baby and I had always tried my best to be the support coach that she needed.  We had attened class together and practiced the breathing techniques, what more could she need?  But I fully supported her decision and was happy to have Stacy attend the birth.  Once all of the caous of delivery was finished I remember making the comment to my wife, that whatever we were paying her that we should double it!  She was awesome!  She wasn't there to replace me, but to support my wife and I as a team.  Having gone through labor herself, she could anticipate my wife's physical and emotional needs better than I could, but I was never left out.  After the delivery my wife asked that she stay by her to work through the after birth and stiches to allow me to stay by the baby's side.  I knew that my wife would be in good hands and I appreciate the opportunity that it gave me to focus on the joys of being a father during that time.

Stacy was my doula for my third child and I will never have another baby without her! I appreciated her calm, collected, attentive personality.  Even though this was my third pregnancy I dealt with a great deal of anxiety over the delivery.  Stacy knew just what questions to ask in order to help me formulate my birth plan and feel in control as I went in to delivery.  With her coaching I was able to have the positive natural birth experience that I had hoped for. I never felt as though she was intruding upon my personal space or overbearing in her presence. She was always consiencious of my needs and my spouse, and when I needed her to be right there holding me as a pushed she was fully supportive and willing to take directions from me.

Stacy and I have several friends and acquaintances in common, and while I would not have been offended if she had shared the joyful detais about the birth with those individuals, I was impressed with her professionalism and resolve to keep my story sacred.  As it was my store to share.  Sharing her perspective only and my request.

Not only am I pleased with my experience with Stacy, but I am grateful.  I can't give a higher compliment than that.

Stacy was a wonderful support for me during my natural Birth. She was very supportive of all my wants right from the beginning. She made sure she knew what I expected of her and also my goals for this birth. She helped me write out my birth plan and hosted a very supportive mothers blessing way which I greatly appreciate. She was always available whenever I had questions and did her research if she didn't have the answer. During my birth I loved that she took the pressure off my husband so he didn't have to be nervous or have anxiety of how things were going. I loved her calm disposition, I really felt that she knew what I needed when I needed it and it came so naturally by using words of affirmation. She made us both feel at ease and be able to enjoy the birth process. she was there when I needed her and I look forward to working with her again.

Stacy was everything I was looking for in a doula. She made sure that my wants and needs were met, and even exceeded. She was very knowledgable and informative without being pushy at all. She was by my side every step of the way without me having to ask. She was warm and personable, and I trusted her right away. I would recommend her to my closest friends and family. I could not have asked for a better experience.
