Post a testimonial for Diana Fisher

Diana is so sweet and supportive. She was super helpful in our preparation for the birth of our baby. She helped us to achieve our birth goals and was incredibly helpful during labor. We feel blessed to have this service available to us in our area and plan to have Diana for future births! We could not recommend her more!

Our family loved working with Diana and absolutely recommend Mother Love Birth Doula. Diana provided so much information and support and helped us to feel empowered and informed as first time parents and provided so much support for our birth experience. Having an advocate during our pregnancy and birth experience was invaluable and I would absolutely work with Diana again.

Diana was so helpful and brought so much calming energy during my pregnancy and delivery of my first child. Anytime I had a question or concern, day or night, she was available and so helpful. I am so grateful she was present during my delivery. She was definitely my advocate and helped me make important decisions by offering her knowledge and support, without judgement. If we are blessed with more children, I would again be honored to have Diana be a part of my birth journey.

Diana was my doula for my August 2023 baby, my second son. I chose to have an unassisted birth with him, or what some people call a free birth, at my home with him. I trusted that Diana would respect my decisions and support me, not pushing me towards anything I wasn't comfortable with or causing me to doubt myself. During my pregnancy, I felt as if this baby was not bering celebrated. Diana went out of her way to make me feel excited for his arrival and celebrated this pregnancy with me. She was there at every turn if I needed her. My birth could not have been better. Diana was absolutely the perfect support for my birth. She was a calming, reassuring presence. She did not speak any sort of doubt or hesitancy into my space, and I believe both her and my husband protected my space and mindset at different points in the labor from other input of family that I had there for the birth. I feel like she went above and beyond anything I needed, and when she left I felt positively blissful, tucked into my bed comfortably with my newest baby. I appreciated her support in so many areas during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum- as well as her insights about preparing for a home birth in general and parenting, adding a new baby to our mix. We loved Diana being there and my husband felt so at ease knowing she was there and could support me and keep me comfortable.

Diana was great at making sure we knew what are options were the entire process of our pregnancy and delivery. My goal was to have an unmedicated vaginal birth and Diana was supportive of my plan the entire way. Unfortunately at our 41 week appointment we found out that the baby was breech and scheduled a c-section. Diana was great at making sure I knew my options before scheduling the c-section. She made sure we were educated on all of our options available. We still opted for the c-sections and she was supportive our entire process and how we wanted her involved in our c-section process. It was great having her there for support our entire process from prenatal, delivery, and post partum. Post partum she helped save my breastfeeding journey ! I highly recommend Diana if you are searching for a doula who educates you on all your options and supports you in any journey you decide on !

I wanted to have as natural birth as possible from the time my husband and I embarked on our pregnancy journey. I had researched and talked with my midwife about doulas and she highly encouraged them. Fast forward a few months after I’d visited with a few doulas and chosen Diana. She was absolutely incredible in helping me prepare for the unknown and comforting me when my anxiety got the best of me. Then when it came down to my actual birth, NOTHING went as I’d planned and had I not had her there, I’m not sure I’d have coped even 1/2 as well I did (which still wasn’t fantastic). She supported my change of decisions 100% and helped to ensure I was informed of all that was presented to me. Ultimately, I was able to give birth to a beautiful 10+lbs baby without a cesarean. I joke that the only reason I’d have more kids is because I loved my doula so much but seriously, the best choice I made in my pregnancy was hiring Diana.

We were so grateful to have Diana as our doula! I went overdue almost 2 weeks, and while my doctor was encouraging me to get induced at 39 weeks and on, she helped us stand our ground in waiting for our son's timing, encouraging us to remain calm and patient. She also provided us with lots of different options for naturally inducing labor as we got closer to 42 weeks. At 41 and 5, my water broke, but still with no consistent contractions! Our doctors wanted to induce, and Diana encouraged us to ask for more time to try to get things going naturally. I never would've thought to ask the doctors for this if it wasn't for Diana! We were given time, and labor indeed progressed. I was breast pumping and going on walks being active etc. Throughout labor and delivery, Diana was a strong support for me and my husband, providing counter pressure, massage, and speaking words of encouragement! When things got difficult with pushing, she helped me to remain calm and focused. Because of some complications with pushing, I realized I needed to get the epidural. Though I was planning to go natural and really wanting to, this was a time when the epidural was a necessary intervention, and I knew in the moment it was the right decision for me and for this birth. Diana was very supportive and encouraging that this was a good time for this intervention, and that helped me to be more accepting of the epidural. A few hours later(after a nap and 40 minutes or pushing) I delivered a healthy baby boy! Between her, my husband and our nurses/doctor, I felt incredibly taken care of and safe in such a vulnerable state.

I am a second time mom and I am so grateful that I hired Diana as our doula this time around! I wish I knew her 4 years ago when I had my first baby!! Diana was a wealth of information and resourceful at all times. Her presence was calming, comforting and reassuring during my labor and delivery. There are no words that can truly express my gratitude for her support and care. She was extremely compassionate, understanding and respected my wishes at all times. I am so glad I got the chance to know her and work with her! It was such a positive experience and I highly highly recommend her! <3

I hired Diana at 38 weeks pregnant and I have zero regrets! She was so helpful and included my husband in the birth process. Having her presence and spirit there was empowering and peaceful.
We had our baby in 2 hours and she arrived on time. She came fully prepared to deliver me at home if needed, but we made it to the hosptial and had an exciting experience!

What a blessing it was to have Diana Fisher with Mother Love Birth Doula present for the labor and birth of our double rainbow baby, Graham! ????????
We were certain before meeting Diana that she would be someone special to us, and she proved to be indescribably supportive, genuine, knowledgeable, intuitive, devoted, encouraging, tender, empathetic, and faithful every time we were with her and in between ??
She embodied everything and more for what we hoped for in a doula before, during, and after our son was born. Especially during his birth. The pain management methods and positions she reminded my husband and I were exactly what my body and baby needed, and her words of affirmation were worth their weight in gold, gently being assured at the perfect moments.
I could go on and on…Diana, you’re phenomenal at what you do, you’re an incredible person, and we are so thankful you could be there for a moment in our lives we prayed a million times for and experienced the answer coming in our healthy baby Graham! ??

Diana was an incredible support during my pregnancy, labor and delivery. She is very empathetic and wanted the best for me and baby. She gently educated me about the different options for labor and delivery, but always made it clear that no option was 'better' or 'worse' than another. She was my advocate at the hospital and was by my side, encouraging me, the whole time. I truly believe I would not have had the amazing natural birth experience that I did had I not worked with Diana! She truly wants the best for mom and baby and I encourage anyone who is pregnant to reach out to her!

Diana assisted me with an unmedicated, VBAC birth of my 9lb baby. There are so many unknowns for moms going through labor for the first time and she helped me know when I was in real labor and when we should head to the hospital. She was great in helping my husband assist me and helping us stay relaxed through the whole process. My husband and I both agree that our birth would have been a lot more stressful without Diana there.

I knew when I found out I was pregnant with our second that our birth experience was going to be different. My first labor was HARD. Long story short, 3 failed attempts for an epidural, however, the 4th attempt was successful. I pushed for three hours. My second son on the other hand was different.
I knew I needed help so I hired Diana as my doula! I could tell just by her voice, that she was the one. My goal was to go all-natural with my second. After doing some research I realized that the medication from my first labor might have aided in me having postpartum anxiety. I was pumped with so many drugs with my first child, It was not a pleasant experience for me personally.
With my seconded, I was able to decline all medication and I pushed for only 6 minutes! With Diana's help, I was able to be in control and every moment was truly beautiful. She arrived at the hospital and immediately came to me and showed me what position might help me get some relief. As soon as she got me in that position, I went into transition and she knew the baby was descending down. I was about to hold my baby! They checked me and sure enough baby was crowning and I was dilated to a 9. She had me stand up one more time and as soon as I stood up the baby was coming. They laid me back down, and Diana encouraged me to go at my own pace with my breathing. I was able to push a couple of times and our baby boy was out in 6 minutes. After the delivery, she turned off all the lights, because it was noon and very bright inside. She came over to me and started massaging my legs and feet. Not only that she came over and braided my hair. She then let me be with my husband and baby for a little while. After a while, she came back and helped me get our baby to latch. It was the most peaceful birth I've ever given. Diana also makes postpartum visits. She is the most thoughtful, kind, and caring doula you will find in this area. Thank you Diana for your care.

I was skeptical about having a Doula. My family said I should just let my mom "be my doula" ;). My hubby encouraged me to get a doula since we wanted a natural labor. We selected Diana because she is kind and answered all my questions and concerns. I hoped I would labor at home and she could help us decide when to go to the hospital. She helped us develop a birth plan. At 34 weeks my water broke and I was put on bedrest. The day I started contractions, I had been on bedrest with broken water for 10 days so we thought labor would go fairly quickly. I called her at 2:30am and she came over right away and I labored at home for several hours. She continually gave words of encouragement and helped my husband know different ways to comfort me. At the hospital Diana encouraged me to try new things and keep labor going. Even though I am a private person I felt comfortable having Diana there. She was an invaluable resource as things came up during labor. She helped us understand our options and encouraged us to do what we thought was best for our family. After 24+ hours of labor my doctor recommended Pitocin. Diana supported our decision to wait. I was afraid it would lead to an epidural and C-section but after another couple hours not progressing I got Pitocin.
Diana is intuitive and knew when to give us privacy and when to stay. With her words of encouragement, and different laboring techniques paired with my husband's physical support, I was able to stick to my birth plan.(minus the Pitocin)
After 33 hours of labor our son was born on the 4th of July. She had a nice rapport with the nurses and was sweet and patient with my parents who refused to go home and rest because they were afraid to miss out. Lol. She got some really meaningful photos for us along with a nice birth story too.
I'm so happy we chose Diana for our doula. She is worth her weight in gold! If we're ever blessed again to have another child I will definitely choose her.

We met Diana in a Doula Speed Dating event for my first pregnancy. Something about her kept coming to my mind when I thought of hiring a doula. Sadly for us, I lost that pregnancy. When I became pregnant for the second time we assisted to another Doula Speed Dating event and there she was. When we finished talking to her for the second time around we recalled that we met her before and I felt the same connection that I felt the first time. This time around my pregnancy came beautifully and we hired her. I was induced at 40 weeks and 4 days and she was very supportive through all the process. She arrived to the hospital very quickly, after I called her and help my husband and me with my back labor pains. She never felt as a stranger in our delivery room, she let my husband be very hands on during the process. Help him and teach him how to give me massages to ease the pain. Based in her experience she knew when to step in and help with different positions to move my baby. At some point I didnt tolerate more pain and I felt I needed to sleep to gain some strength to the pushing face. i asked for an epidural and apologized for my decision. She told me it was the best decison for me that I should not feel bad about it. The epidural knocked me out of this planet and every time that I opened my eyes I was in a different position to help my baby move. She was very thoughtful in helping me eventhough I was out of this world. My husband and me have the same feelings about her. She is experienced, kind, with bed side manners, respectful, makes you feel comfortable, honest, knowledgeable and supportive. Due to the epidural I dont recall some moments of my birth and thanks to Diana I have the greatest memories due to the amazing pictures she took for us. We are very thankful for having her in our team.
If God sends me another baby she will be my doula again.

I could not have asked for a better prenatal and birthing experience. To give a little background, I am a first time mom who did not attended any birthing classes and gave birth at the Midwife's Place.
Diana, was amazing about reaching out to me when my friend-doula was unable to provide services to me. I met Diana at first in her home and knew she was a completely down-to-earth person. We casually spoke, I had no real questions but just wanted to know Diana as a person. My big thing was to have someone with a pleasant voice and a friendly face. We kept it really casual at every encounter which was nice that she is both professional but warm. The last thing I wanted was a clinical, serious person with an overbearing presence. My next issue, was having a doula that would not only help me during labor but also my significant other (SO). I wanted him to feel empowered and part of the birth. During labor it was amazing how both of them worked as a team. A contraction would come and they would take turns providing counter-pressure or emotional and breathing support. I feel like having Diana there helped both of us; we were relieved when she came to our house during the beginning of my labor, we needed someone knowledgeable on when to go to the birthing center, alternative positions and places. She also was able to give my SO a break and not have him feel guilty about it. Having both of them at birth provided me with strength and support, I needed. I honestly don't think I could've done it all natural without her. I remember feeling calm every-time I looked at her. She also took some lovely photos with her phone that I wil cherish forever!
Oh bonus, she likes dogs, haha. I have 4 and I didn't have to worry about them bothering her. I would highly

Our experience with Diane Fisher was wonderful. This was our first baby, and we had decided we wanted to deliver the baby naturally using Hypnobabies. We wanted someone with experience, knowledge and that would be our support through this process. Diane was not only there to help with the birth, but she met with us a few times prior so that we could all get familiar with one another and prepare for the birth. Diane was very adaptable and responsive to our needs. She was there to offer guidance and encouragement but was in no way pushy. Having Diane there offered relief for my husband when needed, and support and timely information for both of us. It brought me peace of mind to have someone who had experienced a natural birth and having her reassurance every step of the way. Our doctor, who was skeptical at first with having a Doula in the room, was very impressed with Diana. We were able to have a beautiful birthing experience and were so grateful to have Diana be a part of it. We will be using her again for the next baby. We can't recommend her enough.

Diana was excellent to work with. For our first meeting she came to our house and we talked about everything! We talked about our ideal birth plan, my previous pregnancy and birth story, and about the services she provides. Diana also assured my husband that her role wasn't to replace him in the process but rather to assist him. That was very thoughtful and important to him. Diana is a very warm, open and caring person and is very easy to talk to-essentially every thing we were looking for in a doula. We had a couple more meetings prior to delivery day and those were just as comfortable as the first. We discussed birth plans and different things that could arise. On delivery day she arrived to the hospital per our agreement when I started feeling that I needed her there. She was amazing helping me through contractions and sending hubby for food when it was needed. We discussed each of the variations from my original birth plan as needed. I had wanted to birth completely naturally. As the 11th hour wore on, I wasnt progressing and the doctor wanted to increase the pitocin-I decided I wanted an epidural. I felt like a failure and that I had given up. Diana comforted me and assured me that I was making the right decision for me and that I was doing well. When it came time to push Diana helped advocate for me in my desire to use various birth positions. After 3.5 hours of pushing, my stubborn baby wouldn't budge and a c-section was required. Diana was there for me in discussing the necessity with my doctor and in the operating room. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the way labor and delivery went. I attribute that in large part to Diana's presence and assistance. I highly recommend her. She truly cares about her moms and their babies. She came to our house again several weeks after the birth to check on us and see how breastfeeding was going. It was a great visit!

I will be the first to admit that I was a bit skeptical when it came to the idea of working with a doula -- but after a forceps-assisted birth with my first child, I knew I wanted an advocate in the delivery room and someone to support me through what I hoped would be an unmedicated birth with our second daughter.
A friend recommended I work with Diana, and I knew she was the right choice the moment I met her. She's warm, open and insightful -- I'm a private person and this is such a private experience, and I felt completely comfortable with her from the get-go.
The morning I went into labor, Diana and I were in contact via phone, and when I was ready to head to the hospital, she met us there quickly. She helped me through some pretty painful back labor, reassured me when I started to lose perspective on the entire process, and cheered me on as I got closer to our daughter's arrival. I was ultimately able to deliver without an epidural, and I give so much credit to Diana for helping along the way. I don't know what I would've done without her!
I was also impressed by her kind, professional rapport with my L&D nurses and my OB. The harmony in the room was so nice. After Grace was born, my nurse commented to me on how great Diana was. I could't agree more. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
