I have had 3 babies. With my first two births, I did not have a doula. But I wish I had one! So with my 3rd, there was no hesitation who I was going to hire! 

Jenn was there for me every step of the way. I had prodromal labor for 10 days before my baby was actually born and Jenn came to my side many days during that time. I never felt alone. She was also there with me at the hospital. She was so comforting to me. Brought me and my husband so much peace. Just knowing we had someone in our corner was the best!! 

Since having my baby, I have been sick with random sicknesses and each time, I text her and tell her how I wish I could hire her for all my medical needs ?? that is how wonderful of a doula she was! 

I recommend Jenn a million%! She is so wonderful inside and out!

Jenn was instrumental in helping us through this pregnancy. Kim had HG or Hyperemisis Gravidarum and she was very ill the entire time. Jenn stepped in with patience, support, and genuine care. She helped us stay organized and guided us through the dark murky waters of the health care system, process of pregnancy, and all the dos, don't, and other things needed in order to have a healthy birth. We couldn't have done this without her and you'll be happy you hired her!

We searched high and low for a Christian Doula that had experience with VBAC’s. Jenn was the fifth doula we interviewed and she was extremely warm/inviting. I appreciated her meeting my hubs and I where we were and matching our energy. She offers two in person meetings before the birth which was more than any other we interviewed (and one after!) I very much appreciated the second meeting as we practiced counter pressure and discussed more in depth what to expect for a vaginal delivery following a c-section.

In regards to actual birth, she was VITAL to my successful VBAC. She provided evidence based research in making decisions each step through my medically necessary induction without pressure or bias. A wonderful listener and great at celebrating the smallest wins throughout the laboring. She was a calming presence throughout- which is hard when contractions can be quite painful. She spent about 24 hours with us through most of my induction and birth, helping me stay medication free for significantly longer than I anticipated. She was up with me through the night, distracting and encouraging me. She made it possible for my husband and I to enjoy each other through an intense 26 hours of laboring. I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated Jenn’s help to have a successful vaginal delivery after a c-section in 2020. The comfort I had knowing she is a believer, praying, and also extremely informed was so deeply needed to ease my anxiety and keep perspective. She is filled with the Holy Spirit and it’s evident in how she loves you in the midst of an intense time!

Let’s just say, the next birth will require Jenn’s presence. (The nurse that was with us for 12 of the 26 hours legitimately asked if we were good friends, noting she was so warm and different than most doulas in the best way). I felt very cared for and am so thankful for her helping me being our second son into the world! A God send!

Talking with Jenn really help my husband and me feel much more prepared for delivery. We weren't sure what to expect, but Jenn took the time to thoroughly explain the birthing process, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques to us. We felt more confident both about the delivery experience and postpartum recovery after meeting with her.  

Working 101 with Jenn was much better than a class, as everything was tailored to our personal needs and questions. She was very kind, knowledgeable and took the time to explain and answer all of our questions. I would highly recommend working with her.

Jen and I attended church together and when I became pregnant with my second child I knew right away I wanted her present at the birth. Jen was extremely knowledgeable and a huge source of encouragement during our months of pregnancy. She prepared us for various situations (as birth is super unpredictable) which made me feel confident going into delivery. She arrived quickly after I was admitted and was with us the whole time. It was a rather quick delivery but Jen was so reassuring and such a calm presence during moments I did not feel calm. She knew my desire of wanting to go unmedicated and did everything she could to help me relax and let my body work. She took some precious pictures that I will forever cherish. One of the things I loved most was the documentation of the details of my daughters birth. It was such a whirlwind and I remember very little but reading Jen's notes were so special and brought so many things back to mind. Jen was great to check in postpartum and make sure both mommy and baby were doing well. One of the hardest things about moving was knowing Jen would not be at my 3rd birth. She truly is a gift to have present in such a vulnerable sacred space. I cannot recommend her enough!

I would highly recommend Jennifer Racer Family Services. While I haven’t had the pleasure of using Jenn as a doula yet, she has been so kind and helpful in explaining the role of a doula and the benefits of utilizing a doula during birth. We’ve had several conversations revolving around pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care which has made me feel more comfortable and at ease to go through those things in the future. Jenn provides up-to-date information and options in an unbiased manner. After talking with her, she made me feel comfortable to ask personal questions without judgement. Jenn helps empower women to make informed decisions, and she really advocates for her clients. I'm grateful for all the ways she listens, empathizes, educates, and supports women and families.

Although I've never utilized Jennifer Racer as a doula for a birth, (due to the fact that I haven't given birth yet), I have had the pleasure of having mutilple converstations with her surrounding the topics of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. Through those conversations, I've seen Jenn's passion for her field and the families she serves. I've also learned so much from Jennifer which has already made me more confident and comfortable with the thought of going through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum in the future. Not only is Jennifer extremely knowlegable about all things partaining to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care, but she communicates the knowledge she has in an informative and down-to-earth manner. I would highly recommend her for any services you may need from pregnancy to postpartum. :)

Jenn was such an asset during the postpartum period. She is available to help with whatever is most needed and helpful, and she does it with a go-with-the-flow, down-to-earth attitude that puts one right at ease. She is kind and helpful with older siblings. She is loving with the new baby, and I felt completely at ease leaving with the baby if I needed a shower or nap. She is a wonderful person to have available to discuss and process the birth experience with. It's so helpful having the listening ear of someone who makes you feel validated and has helpful and compassionate feedback. Having Jenn as a postpartum doula is so much more than a helping hand around the house or with the kids. She has a wealth of knowledge about birth, postpartum, baby care, breastfeeding, ect., but she also helps you to come to your own conclusions and supports you in what choices will best fit you and your family. Having someone like her around does wonders in the recovery period both physically and mentally.

I am currently pregnant with my third baby and after the past couple years I have started to question a lot about the way childbirth is handled at hospitals. I got to talk with Jenn and ask a bunch of questions because I'm just so unsure of what I want to do, whether it be hospital birth or homebirth. She helped me feel more confident by answering all of my questions and giving me clarity on the options I have. I felt much better after talking with her and even recommended my cousin (who is pregnant with her first baby) talk with her. I really appreciate Jenn taking the time out of her day just to talk me through my options and give me unbiased information on everything I wanted to know.

Jenn is so down to earth and easy to talk to, as well as a great listener! She has a true concern for what's best for you but is also not afraid to make suggestions that she thinks may be helpful. She is faithful and trustworthy! I would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends!

Jenn provided such reassurance and positivity as I prepared to give birth, while we made decisions on birthing day, and afterwards as I managed having a baby and not knowing what I was doing with nursing. She was knowledgeable and considerate of my feelings and used helpful bible passages to keep my mind from wandering to negative places. I loved having her there for the birth of my first child and her continuous support in the years since!

We had heard wonderful things about Jenn's doula expertise from a few friends and hired her as our doula in 2020. Little did we know there would be a pandemic that would change our plans as far as in person meetings and having her with us at the birth in the hospital. Jenn was creative and flexible when it came to switching meetings over to FaceTime and we felt prepared going into the birth, even without the training in person. I was hoping for a natural birth and Jenn gave us great resources for our birth plan and for ways to cope with pain during labor. One of the biggest helps was when we called her at 4 am, she was able to access when we needed to go to the hospital when my labor started to pick up. It would have been wonderful to have her at the hospital, but even over the phone a few times, Jenn was calm, able to access what was happening quickly, and gave great advice.

We would definitely hire Jenn again. Having her as our doula took a lot of the fear out of the birth experience and we hope next time, she can be with us in person!

Jenn is an absolutely amazing doula! She is an extremely warm, welcoming woman who knows so much about birth and how to offer support. She was so kind and helpful during my labor and birth. She helped me to remain calm and keep my focus during contractions and also helped to calm my fears before labor. She even prayed with me as she knew my faith is very important to me. I would recommend her to anyone! She helped me to have the kind of birth I was hoping for. Thank you, Jenn!

I Hired a doula to help me through the birth process naturally without a epidural and I wanted her to help me with the pain. My childbirth did not goes as planned i had a unexpected c-section and i forgot to call the doula and when i did she came right away before i went in for the c-section. Jennifer was a great support system for my husband and family in waiting room while i put to sleep for a c-section. Jennifer came in the recovery room and talked to me after the procedure and was very concerned and you could tell she really cared about me and my family. I would recommend her to other families for sure. If I were to have any more i would use her again. Even thou i was very disappointed that i was not able to go natural like planned, and she wasnt able to be in the delivery but my family really loved her and she calmed them down and helped them through the scary moment and thoughts.Thanks Jennifer you were great.

My husband and I decided to hire Jenn as our doula during my first pregnancy because we wanted to go the non-medicated route and were unsure of what was ahead of us.  Jenn came to our house prior to my due date to meet and discuss her role and she made it clear that she could be as involved (or not) as we needed her to be.  We were impressed immediately and felt that hiring her was the best decision, if anything, to support my husband as well as me.  She then visited a second time to discuss our wants and hopes for my delivery and this time she brought a few tools to demonstrate different positions and relaxation techniques that would help me in my labor.  Again, when she left, we felt comfortable and confident in our decision.  When my labor began, Jenn came to my house first (at our request) since we wanted to stay at home as long as possible.  She took thorough notes, kept calm, and helped my husband help me through the process.  We then decided to go to the hospital and once again she was with us every step of the way.  She used massage techniques and positioning to help me and documented throughout the entire process - staff names, conversations, contractions, etc..  She stayed with us until a few hours after our son was born (almost 24 hours!) and then returned to our home about a week later for a postpartum visit to meet our baby again and to assist with breast feeding if needed.  We reviewed her notes and discussed the outcome and had the opportunity to rehash the process since it all goes by in a blur.  We highly recommend Jenn and we will no doubt reach out to her if we do have a second child.  My husband and I agree that even if you are not attempting the non-medicated route having a doula is a good idea.  The hospital staff, as wonderful as they are, are not designated to spend 1:1 time with you so having Jenn is a wonderful way to meet your needs, both physical and emotional.

Working with Jennifer was amazing!!  She was such a huge help to both me and my husband.  She was able to provide us with very practical advice that helped make labor and delivery easier.  Her encouragement and guidance helped us to remain calm and relaxed.  It was such a pleasure and an honor to work with her.  Jennifer was very supportive of all our decisions and helped us to understand different options we had in the process.  She is an amazing doula!!!!

My wife and I decided to hire a doula to make our birth process as natural as possible even though we were planning to deliver in a hospital. Our birth experience with Jennifer was even better than we had imagined. My wife's labor was short and intense, and with Jennifer's help, occurred almost entirely in our home. Jennifer was empathetic, calm and extremely professional. She calmed my wife over the phone during the early stages, and came to our house as soon as we requested it. Her voice was able to relax my wife to the point where she could focus on her breathing. Jennifer's emphasis was on trusting my wife's body and addressing her needs. Our baby girl was born 45 minutes after we arrived in the hospital, with almost no medical interference. We would certainly consider hiring Jennifer again and have already recommended her to other expecting mothers.
