Hannah was wonderful! Our regular night doula came down with an infection and we needed someone ASAP to fill in. Hannah stepped up the same day and was so caring and wonderful with our newborn, helping this tired mom of two under two get a decent rest. She also tidied up and brought smiles and joy into our home. So grateful for how she was able to help us.

We hired Hannah to be our doula for the birth of our second child and can’t imagine having gone through the process without her — she is extremely professional, supportive, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and helpful. We can’t recommend her enough.

We were at first reluctant to hire a doula since we had been through the birth process just two years earlier, but are so glad we met Hannah and changed our minds. Hannah met with us during the pregnancy and talked through all of our questions and concerns, and provided very useful advice going into the birth (attempted VBAC). She was also extremely patient and nurturing, even though we waited until after 42 weeks to induce. She was there for us for the course of a week in the hospital during a long induction, labor, and eventual decision to perform a caesarean, all the while advocating and supporting all three of us (mom, dad, and baby). She also consulted with us post-partum and helped us process the experience.

If we have a third child, we will definitely rehire Hannah, and suggest you do as well regardless of whether it’s your first or tenth child. Thank you, Hannah; we sincerely hope our kids grow up to be as helpful, thoughtful, and all around wonderful as you.

Hannah was everything we wanted in a birth doula. From our first meeting with her, my husband and I felt that she was a very positive and friendly person. In our prenatal visits, she was eager to hear what we wanted most from our birth experience and was ready with helpful suggestions and insight.

I delivered our son unmedicated, which can be a very intense experience. While I was in early labor, Hannah's support was invaluable. She answered my texts and phone calls late into the night as we tried to decide whether or not to head to the hospital. The next morning, she came all the way out to our home to spend a few hours with us as we tried to encourage my labor to progress. Whatever challenge we found ourselves facing, she had a suggestion for a way we could work through it.

Once we arrived at the hospital, her support became even more important. She knew what I wanted and did an excellent job helping my husband and me to communicate with the hospital staff. Her positive and calming presence was a great strength to both of us as we labored at the hospital. She was very attentive and willing to try new methods of relief, relaxation and encouragement as my labor advanced. She was never afraid to step in and lend a hand in any way we or the hospital staff needed.

In the week that followed my son's birth, she continued to offer encouragement and support. We could not have asked for a better doula to help us through this experience. I would highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a birth doula.

The initial postpartum period is a very vulnerable and needy time for me. Hannah was just the caring prescence that I needed! She was so great about making me food when I was hungry and bringing me water to keep hydrated. Having a postpartum doula is different than just having a friend help out. Hannah's specialized knowledge meant that she knew what I needed without me having to explain or even ask sometimes. She is so experienced with newborn babies that I always felt completely comfortable handing off my son to her so that I could rest or take care of my own needs. She even understood that I just needed someone to listen sometimes and she was great about checking in with my emotional state. It was a blessing to have such holistic care during that time. I would absolutely recommend her!

Hannah was our Doula for the birth of our first boy in October. While I was not looking for an all natural birth, since our families are out of town, and my husband does not do well in hospital settings, we knew we wanted to have an extra support person on our team. We interviewed three doulas in person before we officially hired Hannah. We felt at ease and confident in her abilities after our fist in-person meeting wither her, and knew that personality wise she was a great fit for us. She is very knowledgeable, non-judgemental, and patient answering in answering our many questions and then some. We wanted our birth environment to be calming but also light hearted, and Hannah was just that.

My birth was VERY long, and emotional. After being induced, and laboring for 38 hours our birth journey ended in a C-Section. Hannah was right along side us all the way. She went above and beyond to make sure that we understand each step of the process, and was such a big support not only for myself but for my husband as well.

During my laboring, Hannah was very present with me and worked with me to be as comfortable as possible, coaching me all the way. She also worked well with all of the nurses and our OBGYN. She was great at asking questions that we maybe did not know to ask, and helping us talk through options so we could make the best decisions possible for our wants/needs. While our birth did not go as planned, we were bursting with gratitude that we had such an incredible team there with us during the process. Both my husband and I agree that we could not have gotten through this without Hannah's support and guidance. Her services are invaluable and we will most definitely hire her again if we decide to have another baby in the future!

Hannah helped our family as a night time doula when my daughter was very young, around 3 months). She is soft spoken, calm, gentle, and caring. She was very willing to help and accommodate our families needs during that time. I would highly recommend her to other families.

Hannah was everything that we needed her to be- a coach through labor, reassurance that we could be parents, an advocate among the many healthcare professionals, a teacher on infant care 101 and a friend who helped me relax. She knows how to read the moment and meet your needs.

Hiring Hannah was the best decision my husband, Cory, and I made for the birth of our son. I wanted to have a med-free birth and after our birth classes we decided we needed additional, experienced support. Only a month prior to our due date I contacted several doulas to see if any were available. Hannah was the first to return my plea for help and we set a time to meet soon after. Upon meeting, we immediately liked Hannah. She was easy to talk with, had a great sense of humor, and put us at ease. During our prenatal appointments she answered tons of questions, advised about additional baby gear, and calmed my anxieties. We established a great bond within the short time we knew her. I could tell she was ready to partner with us and empower Cory to support me during labor.

I honestly don't think I would have birthed our son med-free had it not been for Hannah. She was supportive during my labor at home via phone and text. As planned, she arrived at the hospital soon after they finished checking us in. She directed Cory in how to assist my labor. She clarified what medical staff were saying. She suggested positions to move labor forward. She listened to me and read my body language to assist me in ways I didn't know I needed (ex: I forgot about food/water). Her words were always reassuring and empowering; often repeating sayings to focus my mind. She took care of Cory (i.e. suggesting he needed to go eat), letting me focus on labor. When I started pushing, she counted for me so I used each push effectively. She counted to 10 for almost 2 hours. Hannah celebrated with us when our baby finally arrived. She helped me learn to breastfeed our son after they finished my stitches.

During postpartum care, she helped debrief labor and days following. She not only went over facts but feelings as well. She worked with me on breastfeeding and other infant care. Overall she was amazing. We will definitely give her a call when preparing for baby #2.

Hannah is absolutely incredible - I can't say enough about her personality, her kindness, her selflessness and her philosophy.  She worked seamlessly with another doula to stay with me through my extended labor and help me to my goal, a beautiful and healthy baby girl and a successful VBAC.  She had wonderful techniques for helping me breathe.  She was really helpful as a go-between, making sure I understood what was happening and helping me stay on track with my desired birth plan while my head was in the clouds - as well as adjusting to the changes that were inevitable.  She is so easy to talk to and so friendly; she stayed with me through the night; and she came over twice following the birth to provide much-needed kindness and conversation - not only debriefing from my labor experience, but also providing help and advice around my older son's toilet training.  I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for doula/post-doula services!

Hannah has helped me with my baby boy from the day we got home from the hospital. As a single mom, I truly can't imagine having gone through these last few months without her. She did overnight care which kept me sane and allowed me to fully enjoy my newborn. She also helped me learn all the things needed to care for my little one...everything from what diaper cream to get and how to bathe him. She has become an indespendable part of the family. Hannah's thoughtfulness, compassion and gentle nurturing spirit is exactly what every pregnant woman or new mom needs. I would hightly recommend Hannah!
