Dilpreet came to the rescue to support us when we desperately needed additional doula support on weekends after a week in the hospital with baby in the NICU part of the week. My body was in extra rough shape due to injuries caused by forceps delivery, and my partner was taking care of all of us around the clock without a break for himself. Dilpreet's nursing experience was a godsend as I navigated unexpected issues with multiple catheters, major blood clots, and newly discovered symptoms of recovery. In the haze of all that we went through at the hospital, pumping and breastfeeding became secondary for baby and me, but Dilpreet helped reintroduce us to learning and practicing these activities. She allowed us to get a longer stretch of rest as she helped care for our baby, setting us up for finally having our first, quiet, beautiful morning together as a family - our first, sweet “wow we made it home and we have a baby” moment all together. We couldn't have made it through the first month postpartum without her support and appreciate all that she did to help us settle in with our newborn!
